Mark 15
1 And, straightway, early, when they had made, a council, the High-priest, with the Elders, and Scribes, and all the High-council, binding Jesus, led him away, and delivered him up unto Pilate.
൧അതികാലത്ത് മുഖ്യപുരോഹിതന്മാരും മൂപ്പന്മാരും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരുമായി ന്യായാധിപസംഘം ഒക്കെയും കൂടി ആലോചിച്ചു. പിന്നെ അവർ യേശുവിനെ ബന്ധിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി പീലാത്തൊസിനെ ഏല്പിച്ചു.
2 And Pilate questioned him—Art, thou, the king of the Jews? And, he, answering him, saith—Thou, sayest.
൨പീലാത്തോസ് അവനോട്: “നീ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ രാജാവോ?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്: “നീ അങ്ങനെ പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
3 And the High-priests began to accuse him, of many things.
൩മുഖ്യപുരോഹിതന്മാർ അവനെതിരെ അനേകം കുറ്റങ്ങൾ ആരോപിച്ചു.
4 And, Pilate, again, was questioning him, [saying]—Answerest thou, nothing? See! of how many things, they are accusing thee!
൪പീലാത്തോസ് പിന്നെയും അവനോട് ചോദിച്ചു: “നീ ഒരു ഉത്തരവും പറയുന്നില്ലയോ? ഇതാ, അവർ നിനക്കെതിരെ എന്തെല്ലാം കുറ്റങ്ങൾ ആരോപിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
5 But, Jesus, no further, answered, anything, so that Pilate began to marvel.
൫യേശു പിന്നെയും ഉത്തരം ഒന്നും പറയായ്കയാൽ പീലാത്തോസ് ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു.
6 Now, at feast time, he was wont to release unto them one prisoner, whom they were claiming.
൬അവൻ ഉത്സവംതോറും അവർ ചോദിക്കുന്ന ഒരു തടവുകാരനെ അവർക്ക് വിട്ടുകൊടുക്കുക പതിവായിരുന്നു.
7 And there was the so-called Barabbas, with the rebels, bound, even with them who, in the rebellion, had committed, murder.
൭എന്നാൽ ഒരു വിപ്ലവത്തിൽ കൊല ചെയ്തവരായ വിപ്ലവക്കാരോടുകൂടെ ബന്ധിച്ചിരുന്ന ബറബ്ബാസ് എന്നു പേരുള്ള ഒരുവൻ തടവിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
8 And, going up, the multitude began to be claiming—according as he was wont to do for them.
൮പുരുഷാരം പീലാത്തോസിന്റെ അടുക്കൽവന്ന്, പതിവുപോലെ ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു അവനോട് അപേക്ഷിച്ചുതുടങ്ങി.
9 But, Pilate, answered them, saying—Will ye, I release unto you, the King of the Jews?
൯മുഖ്യപുരോഹിതന്മാർ അസൂയകൊണ്ടാണ് യേശുവിനെ ഏല്പിച്ചത് എന്നു പീലാത്തോസ് അറിഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ട് അവരോട്:
10 For he was getting to know that, for envy, had [the High-priests] delivered him up.
൧൦“യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ രാജാവിനെ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് വിട്ടുതരണം എന്നു ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നുവോ?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
11 But, the High-priests, stirred up the multitude, that, rather Barabbas, he should release unto them.
൧൧എന്നാൽ ബറബ്ബാസിനെ വിട്ടുകൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന് ചോദിപ്പാൻ മുഖ്യപുരോഹിതന്മാർ പുരുഷാരത്തെ ഉത്സാഹിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
12 But, Pilate, again answering, was saying unto them—What then shall I do with him whom ye call, the King of the Jews?
൧൨പീലാത്തോസ് പിന്നെയും അവരോട്: “എന്നാൽ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ രാജാവ്” എന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ വിളിക്കുന്നവനെ ഞാൻ എന്ത് ചെയ്യേണം?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
13 And, they, again, cried out—Crucify him!
൧൩“അവനെ ക്രൂശിയ്ക്ക” എന്നു അവർ വീണ്ടും നിലവിളിച്ചു.
14 But, Pilate, was saying unto them—Why! what, evil, hath he done? And, they, vehemently, cried out—Crucify him!
൧൪പീലാത്തോസ് അവരോട്: “അവൻ എന്ത് ദോഷം ചെയ്തു?” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ, “അവനെ ക്രൂശിയ്ക്ക” എന്നു അവർ അധികമായി നിലവിളിച്ചു.
15 And Pilate, being minded to do what would satisfy, the multitude, released unto them Barabbas, and delivered up Jesus, having scourged him, that he should be crucified.
൧൫പീലാത്തോസ് പുരുഷാരത്തിന് തൃപ്തിവരുത്തുവാൻ ഇച്ഛിച്ചു ബറബ്ബാസിനെ അവർക്ക് വിട്ടുകൊടുത്തു, യേശുവിനെ ചമ്മട്ടികൊണ്ട് അടിപ്പിച്ച് ക്രൂശിപ്പാൻ ഏല്പിച്ചു.
16 And, the soldiers, led him away, inside the court, which is a judgment-hall, —and called together the whole band;
൧൬പടയാളികൾ അവനെ അവരുടെ ആസ്ഥാനമായ മണ്ഡപത്തിനകത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി പട്ടാളത്തെ എല്ലാം വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടി.
17 and they array him in purple, and set upon him, when they have plaited it; a crown of thorns, —
൧൭അവനെ രക്താംബരം ധരിപ്പിച്ച്, മുള്ളുകൊണ്ട് ഒരു കിരീടം മെടഞ്ഞു അവനെ ചൂടിച്ചു:
18 and began to be saluting him—Joy to thee! King of the Jews!
൧൮“യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ രാജാവേ, ജയജയ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു വന്ദിച്ചു;
19 and were striking him on the head with a reed, and were spitting at him, —and, bowing their knees, were doing him homage.
൧൯കോൽകൊണ്ട് അവന്റെ തലയിൽ അടിച്ചു, അവനെ തുപ്പി, മുട്ടുകുത്തി അവനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു.
20 And, when they had mocked him, they put off him, the purple, and put on him, his own garments. And they lead him forth, that they may crucify him.
൨൦അങ്ങനെ അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ച ശേഷം അവർ രക്താംബരം നീക്കി സ്വന്തവസ്ത്രം ധരിപ്പിച്ച് അവനെ ക്രൂശിപ്പാൻ കൊണ്ടുപോയി.
21 And they impress a certain passer-by, Simon a Cyrenian, coming from a field, the father of Alexander and Rufus, —that he may carry his cross.
൨൧അലെക്സന്തരിന്റെയും രൂഫൊസിന്റെയും അപ്പനായ കുറേനക്കാരൻ ശിമോൻ നാട്ടിൻപുറത്തുനിന്ന് വന്നു അതുവഴി പോവുകയായിരുന്നു. യേശുവിന്റെ ക്രൂശ് ചുമപ്പാൻ അവർ അവനെ നിര്‍ബ്ബന്ധിച്ചു.
22 And they bring him unto the Golgotha place, which is, being translated, Skull-place.
൨൨തലയോടിടം എന്നർത്ഥമുള്ള ഗൊല്ഗോഥാ എന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേയ്ക്ക് അവർ യേശുവിനെ കൊണ്ടുപോയി;
23 And they would have given him, myrrhed wine, —who, however, received it not.
൨൩കുന്തുരുക്കം കലർത്തിയ വീഞ്ഞ് അവന് കൊടുത്തു; അവൻ അത് കുടിച്ചില്ല.
24 And they crucify him, and part asunder his garments, casting a lot upon them—who should have anything.
൨൪അവനെ ക്രൂശിച്ചശേഷം അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ ഓരോരുത്തരും വിഭാഗിച്ച് എടുക്കേണ്ടതിന് അവർ ചീട്ടിട്ടു.
25 And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.
൨൫അവനെ ക്രൂശിച്ചപ്പോൾ മൂന്നാംമണി നേരമായിരുന്നു.
26 And the inscription of his accusation, had been inscribed—THE KING OF THE JEWS.
൨൬‘യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ രാജാവ്’ എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവന്റെമേൽ ചുമത്തിയ കുറ്റം മീതെ എഴുതിവച്ചിരുന്നു.
27 And, with him, they crucify, two robbers, one on his right hand, and one on his left.
൨൭അവർ രണ്ടു കള്ളന്മാരെ ഒരുവനെ വലത്തും ഒരുവനെ ഇടത്തുമായി അവനോടുകൂടെ ക്രൂശിച്ചു.
൨൮അധർമ്മികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ അവനെ എണ്ണി എന്നുള്ള തിരുവെഴുത്ത് നിവൃത്തിയായി.
29 And, the passers-by, were reviling him, shaking their heads, and saying—Aha! thou who wast pulling down the shrine, and building one in three days!
൨൯അതുവഴി കടന്നു പോകുന്നവർ തല കുലുക്കിക്കൊണ്ട്: “ഹാ, ഹാ, മന്ദിരം പൊളിച്ച് മൂന്നു നാളുകൊണ്ട് പണിയുന്നവനേ,
30 Save thyself, —coming down from the cross.
൩൦നിന്നെത്തന്നെ രക്ഷിച്ചു ക്രൂശിൽ നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവാ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ ദുഷിച്ചു.
31 Likewise, the High-priests also, mocking one to another, with the Scribes, were saying—Others, he saved, himself, he cannot save!
൩൧അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും മൂപ്പന്മാരും അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ചു: “ഇവൻ മറ്റുള്ളവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു, എന്നാൽ തന്നെത്താൻ രക്ഷിക്കാൻ ഇവന് കഴിയുന്നില്ല” എന്നു പരസ്പരം പറഞ്ഞു.
32 The Christ, the King of Israel—let him come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And, they who had been crucified with him, were casting it in his teeth.
൩൨“നമ്മൾ കണ്ട് വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ക്രിസ്തു എന്ന യിസ്രായേൽ രാജാവ് ഇപ്പോൾ ക്രൂശിൽ നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവരട്ടെ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവനോടുകൂടെ ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരും അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ചു.
33 And, when it was the sixth hour, darkness, came on all the land—until the ninth hour;
൩൩ആറാം മണിനേരം മുതൽ ഒമ്പതാംമണി നേരത്തോളം ദേശത്തു എല്ലായിടത്തും ഇരുട്ട് ഉണ്ടായി.
34 and, at the ninth hour, Jesus, uttered a cry, with a loud voice—Eloi! Eloi! lama sabachthanei? which is, being translated—My God! [My God!] to what end, didst thou forsake me?
൩൪ഒമ്പതാംമണി നേരത്ത് യേശു: “എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, നീ എന്നെ കൈവിട്ടത് എന്ത്?” എന്നു അർത്ഥമുള്ള “എലോഹീ, എലോഹീ ലമ്മാ ശബ്ബക്താനീ” എന്നു അത്യുച്ചത്തിൽ നിലവിളിച്ചു.
35 And, some of the by-standers, having heard, were saying—See! Elijah, he calleth!
൩൫അരികെ നിന്നവരിൽ ചിലർ കേട്ടിട്ട്: “നോക്കൂ അവൻ ഏലിയാവെ വിളിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
36 And one, running, filled a sponge with vinegar, and, putting it about a reed, was giving him to drink, saying—Stay! let us see whether Elijah is coming, to take him down!
൩൬ഒരുവൻ ഓടി ഒരു സ്പോങ്ങിൽ പുളിച്ച വീഞ്ഞ് നിറച്ച് ഒരു ഓടക്കോലിന്മേലാക്കി: “ഏലിയാവ് അവനെ ഇറക്കുവാൻ വരുമോ എന്നു നമുക്കു കാണാം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവന് കുടിക്കുവാൻ കൊടുത്തു.
37 But, Jesus, sending out a loud voice, ceased to breathe.
൩൭അപ്പോൾ യേശു ഉറക്കെ നിലവിളിച്ചു പ്രാണനെ വിട്ടു.
38 And, the veil of the Temple, was rent into two, from top to bottom.
൩൮ഉടനെ മന്ദിരത്തിലെ തിരശ്ശീല മേൽതൊട്ട് അടിയോളവും രണ്ടായി ചീന്തിപ്പോയി.
39 Now the centurion, who was standing near, out over against him, seeing, that, thus, he ceased to breathe, said—Truly, this man, was God’s son!
൩൯അവന് എതിരെ നിന്നിരുന്ന ശതാധിപൻ അവൻ ഇങ്ങനെ പ്രാണനെ വിട്ടതു കണ്ടിട്ട്: “ഈ മനുഷ്യൻ ദൈവപുത്രൻ ആയിരുന്നു സത്യം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
40 And there were, women also, from afar, looking on, —among whom were both Mary the Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the Little and Joses, and Salome;
൪൦സ്ത്രീകളും ദൂരത്തുനിന്ന് നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; അവരിൽ മഗ്ദലക്കാരത്തി മറിയയും ഇളയ യാക്കോബിന്റെയും യോസെയുടെയും അമ്മ മറിയയും ശലോമയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
41 who, when he was in Galilee, used to follow him, and minister unto him, —and many other women, who had come up with him unto Jerusalem.
൪൧അവൻ ഗലീലയിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവർ അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചും ശുശ്രൂഷിച്ചും പോന്നു; അവനോടുകൂടെ യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു വന്ന മറ്റു സ്ത്രീകളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
42 And evening, already, having begun, since it was a preparation, that is, the eve of a Sabbath,
൪൨വൈകുന്നേരമായപ്പോൾ ശബ്ബത്തിന്റെ തലേദിവസമായ ഒരുക്കനാൾ ആകകൊണ്ട്
43 Joseph of Arimathaea, a noble counsellor, who, also himself, was awaiting the kingdom of God, came; and, venturing, went in unto Pilate, and claimed the body of Jesus.
൪൩ആലോചനാസമിതിയിലെ ബഹുമാന്യനായ ഒരംഗവും, ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ കാത്തിരുന്നവനുമായ അരിമത്ഥ്യയിലെ യോസഫ് ധൈര്യത്തോടെ പീലാത്തോസിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്ന് യേശുവിന്റെ ശരീരം ചോദിച്ചു.
44 But, Pilate, wondered whether, already, he was dead; and, calling near the centurion, questioned him—whether he had, already, died.
൪൪അവൻ മരിച്ചുകഴിഞ്ഞുവോ എന്നു പീലാത്തോസ് ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു ശതാധിപനെ വിളിച്ചു: യേശു മരിച്ചുവോ എന്നു അന്വേഷിച്ചു.
45 And, getting to know from the centurion, he presented the corpse unto Joseph.
൪൫ശതാധിപനിൽനിന്ന് വസ്തുത അറിഞ്ഞശേഷം അവൻ യേശുവിന്റെ ശരീരം യോസഫിന് വിട്ടുകൊടുത്തു.
46 And, buying a fine Indian cloth, he took him down, and wrapped him about with the cloth, and laid him in a tomb, which had been hewn out of a rock, —and rolled near a stone upon the door of the tomb.
൪൬അവൻ ഒരു ശീല വാങ്ങി അവനെ കുരിശിൽനിന്ന് താഴെയിറക്കി ശീലയിൽ ചുറ്റിപ്പൊതിഞ്ഞു, പാറയിൽ വെട്ടിയിട്ടുള്ള ഒരു കല്ലറയിൽ വെച്ച്, കല്ലറവാതില്ക്കൽ ഒരു കല്ല് ഉരുട്ടിവച്ചു;
47 Now, Mary the Magdalene, and Mary the mother of Joses, were viewing how he had been laid.
൪൭അവനെ സംസ്കരിച്ച ഇടം മഗ്ദലക്കാരത്തി മറിയയും യോസെയുടെ അമ്മ മറിയയും നോക്കിക്കണ്ടു.
