Mark 14
1 Now it was the Passover and the Unleavened [cakes], after two days. And the High-priests and Scribes were seeking, how, with guile, they might secure, and lay him;
Es war aber nach zwei Tagen das Passah und das Fest der ungesäuerten Brote. Und die Hohenpriester und die Schriftgelehrten suchten, wie sie ihn mit List griffen und töteten; denn sie sagten:
2 for they were saying—Not in the feast, lest there be an uproar of the people.
Nicht an dem Feste, damit nicht etwa ein Aufruhr des Volkes entstehe.
3 And, he being in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, as he was reclining, there came a woman, holding an alabaster-jar of perfume, pure spikenard, very costly; and breaking the jar she was pouring down [the perfume], upon his head.
Und als er in Bethanien war, in dem Hause Simons, des Aussätzigen, kam, während er zu Tische lag, ein Weib, die ein Alabasterfläschchen mit Salbe von echter, kostbarer Narde hatte; und sie zerbrach das Fläschchen und goß es auf sein Haupt.
4 But there were some much displeased among themselves—To what end hath, this waste of the perfume happened?
Es waren aber etliche unwillig bei sich selbst und sprachen: Wozu ist dieser Verlust der Salbe geschehen?
5 For this perfume could have been sold for above three hundred denaries, and given unto the destitute! and they were indignant with her.
Denn diese Salbe hätte für mehr als dreihundert Denare verkauft und den Armen gegeben werden können. Und sie zürnten mit ihr.
6 But, Jesus, said—Let her alone! Why are ye reproaching, her? A seemly work, hath she wrought, in me;
Jesus aber sprach: Lasset sie; was machet ihr ihr Mühe? Sie hat ein gutes Werk an mir getan;
7 For, always, have ye, the destitute, with you, and whensoever ye please, ye can, unto them, [at any time] do well! But, me, not, always, have ye.
denn die Armen habt ihr allezeit bei euch, und wenn ihr wollt, könnt ihr ihnen wohltun; mich aber habt ihr nicht allezeit.
8 What she had, she used, —She took it beforehand to anoint my body for the burial;
Sie hat getan, was sie vermochte; sie hat zum voraus meinen Leib zum Begräbnis gesalbt.
9 And, verily, say unto you—Wheresoever the glad-message shall be proclaimed throughout the whole world, —also what she did, will be told for a memorial of her.
Und wahrlich, ich sage euch: Wo irgend dieses Evangelium gepredigt werden wird in der ganzen Welt, wird auch von dem geredet werden, was diese getan hat, zu ihrem Gedächtnis.
10 And, Judas Iscariot, who was one of he twelve, went away unto the High-priests, that, him, he might deliver up unto them.
Und Judas Iskariot, einer von den Zwölfen, ging hin zu den Hohenpriestern, auf daß er ihn denselben überlieferte.
11 Now, when they heard, they rejoiced, and promised to give him, silver; and he was seeking how, at a favourable opportunity, he might, deliver him up.
Sie aber freuten sich, als sie es hörten, und versprachen, ihm Geld zu geben; und er suchte, wie er ihn zu gelegener Zeit überliefern könnte.
12 And, on the first day of the unleavened cakes, when, the passover, they were slaying, his disciples say unto him—Where wilt thou, we depart and make ready, that thou mayest eat the passover?
Und an dem ersten Tage der ungesäuerten Brote, da man das Passah schlachtete, sagen seine Jünger zu ihm: Wo willst du, daß wir hingehen und bereiten, auf daß du das Passah essest?
13 And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them—Go your way into the city, and there will meet you a man, a jar of water, bearing, —follow him;
Und er sendet zwei seiner Jünger und spricht zu ihnen: Gehet hin in die Stadt, und es wird euch ein Mensch begegnen, der einen Krug Wasser trägt; folget ihm.
14 and, wheresoever he shall enter, say ye unto the householder—The teacher, saith, Where is my lodging, where, the passover, with my disciples, I may eat?
Und wo irgend er hineingeht, sprechet zu dem Hausherrn: Der Lehrer sagt: Wo ist mein Gastzimmer, wo ich mit meinen Jüngern das Passah essen mag?
15 And, he, unto you, will shew, a large upper-room, spread ready, and, there, make ye ready for us.
Und derselbe wird euch einen großen Obersaal zeigen, mit Polstern belegt und fertig; daselbst bereitet für uns.
16 And the disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found, according as he had said unto them, —and they made ready the passover.
Und seine Jünger gingen aus und kamen in die Stadt und fanden es, wie er ihnen gesagt hatte; und sie bereiteten das Passah.
17 And, when evening arrived, he cometh, with the twelve.
Und als es Abend geworden war, kommt er mit den Zwölfen.
18 And, as they were reclining and eating, Jesus said—Verily, I say unto you—One from among you, will deliver me up, he that is eating with me.
Und während sie zu Tische lagen und aßen, sprach Jesus: Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Einer von euch wird mich überliefern, der, welcher mit mir isset.
19 They began to be grieved, and to be saying unto him, one by one, —Can it be, I?
Sie aber fingen an, betrübt zu werden und einer nach dem anderen zu ihm zu sagen: Doch nicht ich? [und ein anderer: Doch nicht ich?]
20 And, he, said unto them—One of the twelve, he that is dipping with me into the [one] bowl:
Er aber antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Einer von den Zwölfen, der mit mir in die Schüssel eintaucht.
21 Because, the Son of Man, indeed, goeth his way, —according as it is written concerning him; but alas! for that man, through whom the Son of Man is being delivered up, —Well for him, if that man, had not been born!
Der Sohn des Menschen geht zwar dahin, wie über ihn geschrieben steht; wehe aber jenem Menschen, durch welchen der Sohn des Menschen überliefert wird! Es wäre jenem Menschen gut, wenn er nicht geboren wäre.
22 And, as they were eating, taking a loaf, he blessed and brake, and gave unto them, and said—Take! this, is, my body;
Und während sie aßen, nahm Jesus Brot, segnete und brach und gab es ihnen und sprach: Nehmet; dieses ist mein Leib.
23 And, taking a cup, he offered thanks, and gave unto them; and they, all, drank of it.
Und er nahm [den] Kelch, dankte und gab ihnen denselben; und sie tranken alle daraus.
24 And he said unto them—This, is, my blood of the covenant, that is to be poured out in behalf of many.
Und er sprach zu ihnen: Dieses ist mein Blut, das des [neuen] Bundes, welches für viele vergossen wird.
25 Verily, I say unto you—No more, will I in anywise drink of the fruit of the vine, until that day when I shall be drinking it new, in the kingdom of God.
Wahrlich, ich sage euch, daß ich hinfort nicht mehr von dem Gewächs des Weinstocks trinken werde bis an jenem Tage, da ich es neu trinken werde in dem Reiche Gottes.
26 And, having sung praise, they went forth unto the Mount of Olives.
Und als sie ein Loblied gesungen hatten, gingen sie hinaus nach dem Ölberg.
27 And Jesus saith unto them—Ye, all, will find cause of stumbling, because it is written, —I will smite the shepherd, and, the sheep, will be scattered abroad;
Und Jesus spricht zu ihnen: Ihr werdet euch alle ärgern, denn es steht geschrieben: “Ich werde den Hirten schlagen, und die Schafe werden zerstreut werden”.
28 But, after my arising, I will go before you into Galilee.
Nachdem ich aber auferweckt sein werde, werde ich vor euch hingehen nach Galiläa.
29 And, Peter, said unto him—Even if, all, shall find cause of stumbling, certainly not, I.
Petrus aber sprach zu ihm: Wenn sich auch alle ärgern werden, ich aber nicht.
30 And Jesus saith unto him—Verily, I say unto thee, thou, this day, in this night, before that twice a cock crow, thrice, will deny me.
Und Jesus spricht zu ihm: Wahrlich, ich sage dir, daß du heute, in dieser Nacht, ehe der Hahn zweimal kräht, mich dreimal verleugnen wirst.
31 But he, most vehemently, was saying—Even though I must needs die with thee, in nowise, will I, deny thee. Likewise, indeed, were, all besides, saying.
Er aber sprach über die Maßen [mehr]: Wenn ich mit dir sterben müßte, werde ich dich nicht verleugnen. Desgleichen aber sprachen auch alle.
32 And they come into an estate the name of which is Gethsemane, and he saith unto his disciples—Sit ye here, while I pray.
Und sie kommen an einen Ort, mit Namen Gethsemane, und er spricht zu seinen Jüngern: Setzet euch hier, bis ich gebetet habe.
33 And he taketh Peter and James and John with him, and began to be exceedingly amazed, and in great distress;
Und er nimmt den Petrus und Jakobus und Johannes mit sich und fing an, sehr bestürzt und beängstigt zu werden.
34 and he saith unto them—Encompassed with grief is my soul, unto death: Abide ye here, and be watching.
Und er spricht zu ihnen: Meine Seele ist sehr betrübt, bis zum Tode; bleibet hier und wachet.
35 And, going forward a little, he fell upon the ground, and was praying that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him;
Und er ging ein wenig weiter und fiel auf die Erde; und er betete, daß, wenn es möglich wäre, die Stunde an ihm vorüber gehe.
36 and was saying—Abba! O Father! All things, are possible to thee: Bear aside this cup from me; but not what, I, will, but what, thou, [wilt].
Und er sprach: Abba, Vater, alles ist dir möglich; nimm diesen Kelch von mir weg; doch nicht was ich will, sondern was du willst!
37 And he cometh and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter—Simon! art thou sleeping? Hadst thou not strength, one hour, to watch?
Und er kommt und findet sie schlafend, und er spricht zu Petrus: Simon, schläfst du? Vermochtest du nicht eine Stunde zu wachen?
38 Be watching and praying, that ye enter not into temptation: the, spirit, indeed, is willing, but, the flesh, weak.
Wachet und betet, auf daß ihr nicht in Versuchung kommet; der Geist zwar ist willig, das Fleisch aber schwach.
39 And, again, departing, he prayed, [the same thing, saying].
Und er ging wiederum hin, betete und sprach dasselbe Wort.
40 And, again, coming, he found them sleeping, for their eyes were being, weighed down, —and they knew not what to answer him.
Und als er zurückkam, fand er sie wiederum schlafend, denn ihre Augen waren beschwert; und sie wußten nicht, was sie ihm antworten sollten.
41 And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them—Ye are sleeping the remaining time and taking your rest: —It is enough! the hour hath come! Lo! the Son of Man is being delivered up into the hands of sinners.
Und er kommt zum dritten Mal und spricht zu ihnen: So schlafet denn fort und ruhet aus. Es ist genug; die Stunde ist gekommen, siehe, der Sohn des Menschen wird in die Hände der Sünder überliefert.
42 Be rousing yourselves, let us be leading on! Lo! he that is delivering me up, hath drawn near.
Stehet auf, laßt uns gehen; siehe, der mich überliefert, ist nahe gekommen.
43 And, straightway, while yet he is speaking, Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, cometh near, and, with him, a multitude, with swords and clubs, from the High-priests and the Scribes and the Elders.
Und alsbald, während er noch redete, kommt Judas, einer der Zwölfe, herzu, und mit ihm eine große Volksmenge mit Schwertern und Stöcken, von den Hohenpriestern und den Schriftgelehrten und den Ältesten.
44 He that is delivering him up hath given an agreed sign unto them, saying—Whomsoever I shall kiss, he, it is! Secure him, and be leading away, safely.
Der ihn aber überlieferte, hatte ihnen ein Zeichen gegeben und gesagt: Welchen irgend ich küssen werde, der ist's; ihn greifet und führet ihn sicher fort.
45 And, coming, straightway, stepping forward to him, he saith—Rabbi! and openly kissed him.
Und als er kam, trat er alsbald zu ihm und spricht: Rabbi, Rabbi! und küßte ihn sehr.
46 And, they, thrust their hands on him, and secured him.
Sie aber legten ihre Hände an ihn und griffen ihn.
47 [A certain] one of the by-standers, drawing a sword, smote the servant of the High priest, and took off his, ear.
Einer aber von den Dabeistehenden zog das Schwert, schlug den Knecht des Hohenpriesters und hieb ihm das Ohr ab.
48 And Jesus, answering, said unto them—As against a robber, came ye forth, with swords and clubs, to arrest me?
Und Jesus hob an und sprach zu ihnen: Seid ihr ausgezogen wie gegen einen Räuber, mit Schwertern und Stöcken, mich zu fangen?
49 Daily, was I with you, in the temple, teaching; and ye secured me not. But, that, the Scriptures, may be fulfilled…
Täglich war ich bei euch, im Tempel lehrend, und ihr habt mich nicht gegriffen; aber auf daß die Schriften erfüllt würden.
50 And they, all, forsook, him, and fled.
Und es verließen ihn alle und flohen.
51 And, a certain young man, was following with him, having cast about himself a fine Indian cloth, over his naked body, —and they are securing him;
Und ein gewisser Jüngling folgte ihm, der eine feine Leinwand um den bloßen Leib geworfen hatte; und [die Jünglinge] greifen ihn.
52 but, he, leaving behind the cloth, fled naked.
Er aber ließ die feine Leinwand fahren und floh nackt von ihnen.
53 And they led away Jesus unto the High-priest; and all the High-priests and the Elders and the Scribes gather together.
Und sie führten Jesum hinweg zu dem Hohenpriester; und alle Hohenpriester und Ältesten und Schriftgelehrten versammeln sich zu ihm.
54 And, Peter, afar of, followed him, as far as within, into the court of the High-priest; and was sitting with the attendants, and warming himself by the light.
Und Petrus folgte ihm von ferne bis hinein in den Hof des Hohenpriesters; und er saß mit bei den Dienern und wärmte sich an dem Feuer.
55 Now, the High-priest, and all the High-council, were seeking, against Jesus, testimony, with the intent to put him to death, —and were not finding any;
Die Hohenpriester aber und das ganze Synedrium suchten Zeugnis wider Jesum, um ihn zum Tode zu bringen; und sie fanden keines.
56 for, many, were bearing false-witness against him, and the testimonies were not, agreed.
Denn viele gaben falsches Zeugnis wider ihn, und die Zeugnisse waren nicht übereinstimmend.
57 And some, standing up, were bearing false-witness against him, saying—
Und etliche standen auf und gaben falsches Zeugnis wider ihn und sprachen:
58 We, heard him saying, I, will pull down this shrine, the one made by hand, and, in three days, another, not made by hand, will I raise.
Wir hörten ihn sagen: Ich werde diesen Tempel, der mit Händen gemacht ist, abbrechen, und in drei Tagen werde ich einen anderen aufbauen, der nicht mit Händen gemacht ist.
59 And, not even so, was the testimony, agreed.
Und auch also war ihr Zeugnis nicht übereinstimmend.
60 And, the High-priest rising up into the midst, questioned Jesus, saying—Answerest thou, nothing? What are these, against thee, witnessing?
Und der Hohepriester stand auf, trat in die Mitte und fragte Jesum und sprach: Antwortest du nichts? Was zeugen diese wider dich?
61 But, he, was silent, and answered, nothing. Again, the High-priest was questioning him, and saith unto him—Art, thou, the Christ the Son of the Blessed?
Er aber schwieg und antwortete nichts. Wiederum fragte ihn der Hohepriester und spricht zu ihm: Bist du der Christus, der Sohn des Gesegneten?
62 And Jesus said—I, am; and ye shall see the Son of Man—sitting, on the right hand, of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.
Jesus aber sprach: Ich bin's! Und ihr werdet den Sohn des Menschen sitzen sehen zur Rechten der Macht und kommen mit den Wolken des Himmels.
63 And, the High-priest, having rent asunder his inner-garments, saith—What, further, need have we, of witnesses?
Der Hohepriester aber zerriß seine Kleider und spricht: Was bedürfen wir noch Zeugen?
64 Heard ye the profanity? What, to you, doth it appear? And they, all, condemned him to be, worthy, of, death.
Ihr habt die Lästerung gehört; was dünkt euch? Sie aber verurteilten ihn, daß er des Todes schuldig sei.
65 And some began to be spitting at him, and, covering up his face, and to be buffeting him, and saying to him—Prophesy! And, the attendants, with smart blows, took him.
Und etliche fingen an, ihn anzuspeien, und sein Angesicht zu verhüllen und ihn mit Fäusten zu schlagen und zu ihm zu sagen: Weissage! Und die Diener gaben ihm Backenstreiche.
66 And, Peter, being, below in the court, there cometh one of the maid-servants of the High-priest;
Und als Petrus unten im Hofe war, kommt eine von den Mägden des Hohenpriesters,
67 and, seeing Peter warming himself, having looked at him, saith—And, thou, wast, with the Nazarene—with Jesus.
und als sie den Petrus sich wärmen sah, blickt sie ihn an und spricht: Auch du warst mit dem Nazarener Jesus.
68 But, he, denied, saying—I neither know [him], nor do I well understand what, thou, sayest; and went out into the porch.
Er aber leugnete und sprach: Ich weiß nicht, verstehe auch nicht, was du sagst. Und er ging hinaus in den Vorhof; und der Hahn krähte.
69 And, the maid-servant, seeing him, began, again, to be saying unto the by-standers—This one, is, from among them.
Und als die Magd ihn sah, fing sie wiederum an, zu den Dabeistehenden zu sagen: Dieser ist einer von ihnen. Er aber leugnete wiederum.
70 But, he, again, was denying. And, after a little again, the by-standers, were saying unto Peter—Truly, thou, art, from among them; for thou art, a Galilaean, also.
Und kurz nachher sagten wiederum die Dabeistehenden zu Petrus: Wahrhaftig, du bist einer von ihnen, denn du bist auch ein Galiläer.
71 And, he, began to be cursing and swearing—I know not this man, of whom ye are speaking!
Er aber fing an, sich zu verfluchen und zu schwören: Ich kenne diesen Menschen nicht, von welchem ihr redet.
72 And, straightway, a second time, a cock, crowed; and Peter was reminded of the declaration, how Jesus had said to him—Before a cock, twice, crow, thrice, wilt thou deny me. And, when he thought thereon, he began to weep.
Und zum zweiten Male krähte der Hahn. Und Petrus gedachte des Wortes, wie Jesus zu ihm gesagt hatte: Ehe der Hahn zweimal kräht, wirst du mich dreimal verleugnen. Und als er daran dachte, weinte er.
