Mark 10
1 And, from thence, arising, he cometh into the bounds of Judaea and beyond the Jordan, —and there come together again, multitudes unto him, and, as he had been wont, again, was he teaching them.
Puis étant parti de là, il vint sur les confins de la Judée, au delà du Jourdain, et les troupes s'étant encore assemblées auprès de lui, il les enseignait comme il avait accoutumé.
2 And Pharisees coming near were questioning him—whether it is allowed a husband to divorce a wife, testing him.
Alors des Pharisiens vinrent à lui, et pour l'éprouver ils lui demandèrent: est-il permis à un homme de répudier sa femme?
3 But, he, answering, said unto them—What unto you did, Moses, command?
Il répondit, et leur dit: qu'est-ce que Moïse vous a commandé?
4 And, they, said—Moses permitted, to write, a roll of dismissal, and to divorce.
Ils dirent: Moïse a permis d'écrire la Lettre de divorce, et de répudier [ainsi sa femme].
5 But, Jesus, said unto them—In view of your hardness of heart, wrote he for you this commandment;
Et Jésus répondant leur dit: il vous a donné ce commandement à cause de la dureté de votre cœur.
6 But, from the beginning of creation, male and female, made he [them];
Mais au commencement de la création, Dieu fit un homme et une femme.
7 For this cause, shall a man leave behind his father and mother,
C'est pourquoi l'homme laissera son père et sa mère, et s'attachera à sa femme;
8 and, the two, shall become, one flesh; so that, no longer, are they two, but, one flesh.
Et les deux seront une seule chair: ainsi ils ne sont plus deux, mais une seule chair.
9 What then, God, hath yoked together, let, a man, not put asunder.
Que l'homme donc ne sépare pas ce que Dieu a joint.
10 And, [coming] into the house again, the disciples, concerning this, were questioning him;
Puis ses Disciples l'interrogèrent encore sur cela même dans la maison.
11 and he saith unto them—Whosoever shall divorce his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her;
Et il leur dit: quiconque laissera sa femme, et se mariera à une autre, il commet un adultère contre elle.
12 And, if, she, divorcing her husband, marry another, she committeth adultery.
Pareillement si la femme laisse son mari, et se marie à un autre, elle commet un adultère.
13 And they were bringing unto him children, that he might, touch, them, —the disciples, however, were rebuking them.
Et on lui présenta de petits enfants, afin qu'il les touchât; mais les Disciples reprenaient ceux qui les présentaient;
14 But Jesus, seeing it, was greatly displeased, and said unto them—Suffer the children to come unto me, —do not hinder them; for, of such, is the kingdom of God.
Et Jésus voyant cela, en fut indigné, et il leur dit: laissez venir à moi les petits enfants, et ne les en empêchez point; car le Royaume de Dieu appartient à ceux qui leur ressemblent.
15 Verily, I say unto you—Whosoever shall not welcome the kingdom of God, as a child, in nowise shall enter thereinto.
En vérité, je vous dis, que quiconque ne recevra pas comme un petit enfant le Royaume de Dieu, il n'y entrera point.
16 And, folding them in his arms, he was blessing them, having laid his hands upon them.
Après les avoir donc pris entre ses bras, il les bénit, en posant les mains sur eux.
17 And, as he was going forth into a road, one, running, and kneeling before him, was questioning him—Good Teacher! what shall I do that, life age—abiding, I may inherit? (aiōnios g166)
Et comme il sortait pour se mettre en chemin, un homme accourut, et se mit à genoux devant lui, et lui fit cette demande: Maître qui es bon, que ferai-je pour hériter la vie éternelle? (aiōnios g166)
18 And, Jesus, said unto him—Why callest thou me, good? None, is good, save one—God.
Et Jésus lui répondit: pourquoi m'appelles-tu bon? il n'y a nul être qui soit bon que Dieu.
19 The commandments, thou knowest, —Do not commit murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal; Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honour thy father and mother.
Tu sais les Commandements: Ne commets point adultère. Ne tue point. Ne dérobe point. Ne dis point de faux témoignage. Ne fais aucun tort à personne. Honore ton père et ta mère.
20 And, he, said unto him—Teacher! all these things, have I kept, from my youth.
Il répondit, et lui dit: Maître, j'ai gardé toutes ces choses dès ma jeunesse.
21 And, Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said unto him—One thing, unto thee, is wanting; —Withdraw! whatsoever thou hast, sell, and give unto [the] destitute, —and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come! be following me.
Et Jésus ayant jeté l'œil sur lui, l'aima, et lui dit: il te manque une chose; va, et vends tout ce que tu as, et le donne aux pauvres, et tu auras un trésor au ciel; puis viens, et me suis, ayant chargé la croix.
22 And, he, becoming gloomy because of the word, departed sorrowing, for he was holding, many possessions.
Mais il fut fâché de ce mot, et s'en alla tout triste, parce qu'il avait de grands biens.
23 And, looking around, Jesus saith unto his disciples—With what difficulty, shall, they who have money, enter, into the kingdom of God!
Alors Jésus ayant regardé alentour, dit à ses Disciples: combien difficilement ceux qui ont des richesses entreront-ils dans le Royaume de Dieu.
24 And, the disciples, were in amazement, because of the words. But, Jesus, again answering, saith unto them—Children! how difficult, it is, to enter, into the kingdom of God!
Et ses Disciples s'étonnèrent de ces paroles; mais Jésus prenant encore la parole, leur dit: mes enfants, qu'il est difficile à ceux qui se confient aux richesses d'entrer dans le Royaume de Dieu!
25 It is, easier, for a camel, through the eye of a needle, to pass, than for, a rich man, into the kingdom of God, to enter.
Il est plus aisé qu'un chameau passe par le trou d'une aiguille, qu'il ne l'est qu'un riche entre dans le Royaume de Dieu.
26 And, they, were being exceedingly struck with astonishment, saying unto him—Who, then, can, be saved?
Et ils s'en étonnèrent encore davantage, disant entre eux: et qui peut être sauvé?
27 Looking at them, Jesus saith—With men, impossible, but not, with God; for, all things, are possible, with God
Mais Jésus les ayant regardés, leur dit: cela est impossible quant aux hommes, mais non pas quant à Dieu; car toutes choses sont possibles à Dieu.
28 Peter began to be saying unto him—Lo! we, have left all, and followed thee!
Alors Pierre se mit à lui dire: voici, nous avons tout quitté, et t'avons suivi.
29 Jesus said—Verily, I say unto you—There is, no one, who hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or mother, or father, or children, or lands, for the sake of me, and [for the sake of] the glad-message,
Et Jésus répondant, dit: en vérité je vous dis, qu’il n'y a personne qui ait laissé ou maison, ou frères, ou sœurs, ou père, ou mère, ou femme, ou enfants, ou champs, pour l'amour de moi, et de l’Evangile,
31 But, many, shall be—first-last, and [the] Last-first.
Mais plusieurs qui sont les premiers, seront les derniers; et les derniers seront les premiers.
32 Now they were in the way, going up unto Jerusalem, and Jesus was going on before them, —and they were in amazement; and, they who followed, were in fear. And, taking unto himself, again, the twelve, he began to be saying unto them, as to the things about to befall him—
Or ils étaient en chemin, montant à Jérusalem, et Jésus allait devant eux; et ils étaient épouvantés, et craignaient en le suivant, parce que Jésus ayant encore pris à l'écart les douze, s'était mis à leur déclarer les choses qui lui devaient arriver;
33 Lo! we are going up unto Jerusalem; and, the Son of Man, will be delivered up, unto the Chief-priests and the Scribes, —and they will condemn him to death, and deliver him up unto the nations;
[Disant]: voici, nous montons à Jérusalem; et le Fils de l'homme sera livré aux principaux Sacrificateurs, et aux Scribes; et ils le condamneront à mort, et le livreront aux Gentils;
34 And they will mock him, and spit upon him, and scourge him, and, slay; —and, after three days, will he, arise.
Qui se moqueront de lui, et le fouetteront, et cracheront contre lui, puis ils le feront mourir; mais il ressuscitera le troisième jour.
35 And there come near unto him, James and John, the [two] sons of Zebedee, —saying unto him—Teacher! we desire, that, whatsoever we shall ask thee, thou wilt do for us.
Alors Jacques et Jean, fils de Zébédée, vinrent à lui, en lui disant: Maître, nous voudrions que tu fisses pour nous ce que nous te demanderons.
36 But, he, said unto them—What desire ye, I should do for you?
Et il leur dit: que voulez-vous que je fasse pour vous?
37 And, they, said unto him—Grant us, that, one on thy right hand, and one on thy left, we may sit, in thy glory.
Et ils lui dirent: accorde-nous que dans ta gloire nous soyons assis l'un à ta droite, et l'autre à ta gauche.
38 But, Jesus, said unto them—Ye know not what ye are asking: Are ye able to drink the cup that, I, am to drink? or to be immersed, with the immersion wherewith, I, am to be immersed?
Et Jésus leur dit: vous ne savez ce que vous demandez; pouvez-vous boire la coupe que je dois boire; et être baptisés du Baptême dont je dois être baptisé?
39 And, they, said unto him—We are able. And, Jesus, said unto them—The cup which, I, am to drink, ye shall drink, and, with the immersion wherewith, I, am to be immersed, shall ye be immersed;
Ils lui répondirent: nous le pouvons. Et Jésus leur dit: il est vrai que vous boirez la coupe que je dois boire, et que vous serez baptisés du Baptême dont je dois être baptisé;
40 But, to sit on my right hand and on my left, is not mine to give, except unto them for whom it hath been prepared.
Mais d'être assis à ma droite et à ma gauche, ce n'est pas à moi de le donner; mais [il sera donné] à ceux à qui il est préparé.
41 And the ten, hearing, began to be sorely displeased, concerning James and John.
Ce que les dix [autres] ayant ouï, ils conçurent de l'indignation contre Jacques et Jean.
42 And Jesus, calling them near, saith unto them—Ye know that, they who think to rule the nations, lord it over them, and, their great ones, wield authority over them;
Et Jésus les ayant appelés, leur dit: vous savez que ceux qui dominent sur les nations les maîtrisent, et que les Grands d'entre eux usent d'autorité sur elles.
43 But, not so, it is, among you. But, whosoever desireth to become, great, among you, shall be, your minister,
Mais il n'en sera pas ainsi entre vous; mais quiconque voudra être le plus grand entre vous, sera votre serviteur.
44 And, whosoever desireth, among you, to be, first, shall be, servant of all;
Et quiconque d'entre vous voudra être le premier, sera le serviteur de tous.
45 For, even the Son of Man, came not to be ministered unto, but minister, —and to give his life, a ransom instead of many.
Car aussi le Fils de l'homme n'est pas venu pour être servi, mais pour servir, et pour donner sa vie en rançon pour plusieurs.
46 And they come into Jericho. And, as he was journeying forth from Jericho, and his disciples, and a considerable multitude, the son of Timaeus, blind Bar-Timaeus, a beggar, was sitting beside the road.
Puis ils arrivèrent à Jéricho; et comme il partait de Jéricho avec ses Disciples et une grande troupe, un aveugle, [appelé] Bartimée, [c'est-à-dire], fils de Timée, était assis sur le chemin, et mendiait.
47 And, hearing that it was, Jesus the Nazarene, he began to be crying aloud, and saying—O Son of David! Jesus! have mercy on me.
Et ayant entendu que c'était Jésus le Nazarien, il se mit à crier, et à dire: Jésus, Fils de David, aie pitié de moi.
48 And many were rebuking him, that he might hold his peace; but, he, so much the more, was crying aloud, O Son of David, have mercy on me.
Et plusieurs le censuraient fortement, afin qu'il se tût; mais il criait encore plus fort: Fils de David, aie pitié de moi!
49 And, coming to a stand, Jesus said—Call him! And they call the blind man, saying unto him—Take courage! rise! he calleth thee!
Et Jésus s'étant arrêté, dit qu'on l'appelât. On l'appela donc, en lui disant: prends courage, lève-toi, il t'appelle.
50 And, he, throwing off his mantle—springing to his feet, came unto Jesus.
Et jetant bas son manteau, il se leva, et s'en vint à Jésus.
51 And, answering him, Jesus said—What desirest thou, I should do for thee? And, the blind man, said unto him—Rabboni! that may recover sight.
Et Jésus prenant la parole, lui dit: que veux-tu que je te fasse? Et l'aveugle lui dit: Maître, que je recouvre la vue.
52 And, Jesus, said unto him—Go thy way! thy faith, hath saved thee. And, straightway, he recovered sight, and was following him in the road.
Et Jésus lui dit: Va, ta foi t'a sauvé. Et sur-le-champ il recouvra la vue, et il suivit Jésus par le chemin.
