Luke 3
1 Now, in the fifteenth year of the supremacy of Tiberius Caesar, —Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and, Philip his brother, tetrarch of Ituraea and the country of Trachonitis, and Lysanius, tetrarch of Abylene, —
| اَنَنْتَرَں تِبِرِیَکَیسَرَسْیَ راجَتْوَسْیَ پَنْچَدَشے وَتْسَرے سَتِ یَدا پَنْتِییَپِیلاتو یِہُودادیشادھِپَتِ رْہیرودْ تُ گالِیلْپْرَدیشَسْیَ راجا پھِلِپَناما تَسْیَ بھْراتا تُ یِتُورِیایاسْتْراکھونِیتِیاپْرَدیشَسْیَ چَ راجاسِیتْ لُشانِییَناما اَوِلِینِیدیشَسْیَ راجاسِیتْ |
2 in the High-priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, came a word of God unto John the son, of Zechariah, in rue desert;
| ہانَنْ کِیَپھاشْچیمَو پْرَدھانَیاجاکاواسْتاں تَدانِیں سِکھَرِیَسْیَ پُتْرایَ یوہَنے مَدھْییپْرانْتَرَمْ اِیشْوَرَسْیَ واکْیے پْرَکاشِتے سَتِ |
3 and he came into all the country about the Jordan, proclaiming an immersion of repentance into remission of sins:
| سَ یَرْدَّنَ اُبھَیَتَٹَپْرَدیشانْ سَمیتْیَ پاپَموچَنارْتھَں مَنَحپَراوَرْتَّنَسْیَ چِہْنَرُوپَں یَنْمَجَّنَں تَدِییاح کَتھاح سَرْوَّتْرَ پْرَچارَیِتُماریبھے۔ |
4 as it is written in the book of the discourses of Isaiah the prophet: A voice of one crying aloud! In the desert, prepare ye the way of the Lord, straight, be making his paths;
| یِشَیِیَبھَوِشْیَدْوَکْترِگْرَنْتھے یادرِشِی لِپِراسْتے یَتھا، پَرَمیشَسْیَ پَنْتھانَں پَرِشْکُرُتَ سَرْوَّتَح۔ تَسْیَ راجَپَتھَنْچَیوَ سَمانَں کُرُتادھُنا۔ |
5 Every chasm, shall be filled up, and, every mountain and hill, be made low; and the, crooked, places shall become, straight, and the, rugged, places, smooth ways; —
| کارِشْیَنْتے سَمُچّھرایاح سَکَلا نِمْنَبھُومَیَح۔ کارِشْیَنْتے نَتاح سَرْوّے پَرْوَّتاشْچوپَپَرْوَّتاح۔ کارِشْیَنْتے چَ یا وَکْراسْتاح سَرْوّاح سَرَلا بھُوَح۔ کارِشْیَنْتے سَماناسْتا یا اُچَّنِیچَبھُومَیَح۔ |
6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
| اِیشْوَرینَ کرِتَں تْرانَں دْرَکْشْیَنْتِ سَرْوَّمانَواح۔ اِتْییتَتْ پْرانْتَرے واکْیَں وَدَتَح کَسْیَچِدْ رَوَح۔۔ |
7 He was saying, therefore, unto the multitudes who were going forth to be immersed by him—Broods of vipers! who suggested to you, to flee from the coming wrath?
| یے یے لوکا مَجَّنارْتھَں بَہِرایَیُسْتانْ سووَدَتْ رے رے سَرْپَوَںشا آگامِنَح کوپاتْ پَلایِتُں یُشْمانْ کَشْچیتَیاماسَ؟ |
8 Bring forth, therefore, fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to be saying within yourselves, As our father, we have, Abraham; for, I say unto you—God is able, out of these stones, to raise up children unto Abraham.
| تَسْمادْ اِبْراہِیمْ اَسْماکَں پِتا کَتھامِیدرِشِیں مَنوبھِ رْنَ کَتھَیِتْوا یُویَں مَنَحپَرِوَرْتَّنَیوگْیَں پھَلَں پھَلَتَ؛ یُشْمانَہَں یَتھارْتھَں وَدامِ پاشانیبھْیَ ایتیبھْیَ اِیشْوَرَ اِبْراہِیمَح سَنْتانوتْپادَنے سَمَرْتھَح۔ |
9 And, already, even the axe, unto the root of the trees is being laid; every tree, therefore, not bringing forth [good] fruit, is to be hewn down, and, into fire, to be cast.
| اَپَرَنْچَ تَرُمُولےدھُناپِ پَرَشُح سَںلَگْنوسْتِ یَسْتَرُرُتَّمَں پھَلَں نَ پھَلَتِ سَ چھِدْیَتےگْنَو نِکْشِپْیَتے چَ۔ |
10 And the multitude began to question him saying—What, then, shall we do?
| تَدانِیں لوکاسْتَں پَپْرَچّھُسْتَرْہِ کِں کَرْتَّوْیَمَسْمابھِح؟ |
11 And, answering, he said unto them—He that hath two tunics, let him share with him that hath none, and, he that hath food, in like manner, let him be doing.
| تَتَح سووادِیتْ یَسْیَ دْوے وَسَنے وِدْییتے سَ وَسْتْرَہِینایَیکَں وِتَرَتُ کِںنْچَ یَسْیَ کھادْیَدْرَوْیَں وِدْیَتے سوپِ تَتھَیوَ کَروتُ۔ |
12 And there came, even tax-collectors, to be immersed; and they said unto him—Teacher! what, shall we, do?
| تَتَح پَرَں کَرَسَنْچایِنو مَجَّنارْتھَمْ آگَتْیَ پَپْرَچّھُح ہے گُرو کِں کَرْتَّوْیَمَسْمابھِح؟ |
13 And, he, said unto them, Nothing more than what is appointed you, exact ye.
| تَتَح سوکَتھَیَتْ نِرُوپِتادَدھِکَں نَ گرِہْلِتَ۔ |
14 Then were questioning him, soldiers also, saying—What shall, even we, do? And he said unto them—Molest ye, no one, neither accuse falsely; and be content with your supplies.
| اَنَنْتَرَں سیناگَنَ ایتْیَ پَپْرَچّھَ کِمَسْمابھِ رْوا کَرْتَّوْیَمْ؟ تَتَح سوبھِدَدھے کَسْیَ کامَپِ ہانِں ما کارْشْٹَ تَتھا مرِشاپَوادَں ما کُرُتَ نِجَویتَنینَ چَ سَنْتُشْیَ تِشْٹھَتَ۔ |
15 Now, as the people were in expectation, and all were deliberating in their hearts, concerning John, —whether by any means, he, might be, the Christ,
| اَپَرَنْچَ لوکا اَپیکْشَیا سْتھِتْوا سَرْوّیپِیتِ مَنوبھِ رْوِتَرْکَیانْچَکْرُح، یوہَنَیَمْ اَبھِشِکْتَسْتْراتا نَ ویتِ؟ |
16 John answered, saying unto all—I, indeed, in water, am immersing you, but he that is mightier than I, cometh, the thong of whose sandals I am not worthy to unloose, —he, will immerse you in Holy Spirit and fire:
| تَدا یوہَنْ سَرْوّانْ وْیاجَہارَ، جَلےہَں یُشْمانْ مَجَّیامِ سَتْیَں کِنْتُ یَسْیَ پادُکابَنْدھَنَں موچَیِتُمَپِ نَ یوگْیوسْمِ تادرِشَ ایکو مَتّو گُرُتَرَح پُمانْ ایتِ، سَ یُشْمانْ وَہْنِرُوپے پَوِتْرَ آتْمَنِ مَجَّیِشْیَتِ۔ |
17 whose fan is in his hand, to clear out his threshing-floor, and to gather the wheat into his granary; but, the chaff, will he burn up with fire unquenchable.
| اَپَرَنْچَ تَسْیَ ہَسْتے شُورْپَ آسْتے سَ سْوَشَسْیانِ شُدّھَرُوپَں پْرَسْپھوٹْیَ گودھُومانْ سَرْوّانْ بھانْڈاگارے سَںگْرَہِیشْیَتِ کِنْتُ بُوشانِ سَرْوّانْیَنِرْوّانَوَہْنِنا داہَیِشْیَتِ۔ |
18 So then indeed, as to many things and various, he exhorted, and continued telling his glad-message unto the people.
| یوہَنْ اُپَدیشینیتّھَں ناناکَتھا لوکاناں سَمَکْشَں پْرَچارَیاماسَ۔ |
19 But, Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him concerning Herodias, the wife of his brother, and concerning all the wicked things Herod had done,
| اَپَرَنْچَ ہیرودْ راجا پھِلِپْنامْنَح سَہودَرَسْیَ بھارْیّاں ہیرودِیامَدھِ تَتھانْیانِ یانِ یانِ کُکَرْمّانِ کرِتَوانْ تَدَدھِ چَ |
20 added this also unto all, —he locked up John in prison.
| یوہَنا تِرَسْکرِتو بھُوتْوا کاراگارے تَسْیَ بَنْدھَنادْ اَپَرَمَپِ کُکَرْمَّ چَکارَ۔ |
21 Now it came to pass, when one and all the people were immersed, Jesus also, having been immersed, and being at prayer, heaven was opened;
| اِتَح پُورْوَّں یَسْمِنْ سَمَیے سَرْوّے یوہَنا مَجِّتاسْتَدانِیں یِیشُرَپْیاگَتْیَ مَجِّتَح۔ |
22 and the Holy Spirit descended, in bodily appearance, as a dove, upon him, —and, a voice out of heaven, came—Thou, art my Son, the Beloved, in thee, I delight.
| تَدَنَنْتَرَں تینَ پْرارْتھِتے میگھَدْوارَں مُکْتَں تَسْماچَّ پَوِتْرَ آتْما مُورْتِّمانْ بھُوتْوا کَپوتَوَتْ تَدُپَرْیَّوَرُروہَ؛ تَدا تْوَں مَمَ پْرِیَح پُتْرَسْتْوَیِ مَمَ پَرَمَح سَنْتوشَ اِتْیاکاشَوانِی بَبھُووَ۔ |
23 And, Jesus himself, was, when he began, about thirty years of age, being the son, as was supposed—of Joseph, of Heli:
| تَدانِیں یِیشُح پْرایینَ تْرِںشَدْوَرْشَوَیَسْکَ آسِیتْ۔ لَوکِکَجْنانے تُ سَ یُوشَپھَح پُتْرَح، |
24 of Matthat, of Levi, of Melchi, —of Jannai, of Joseph:
| یُوشَپھْ ایلیح پُتْرَح، ایلِرْمَتَّتَح پُتْرَح، مَتَّتْ لیویح پُتْرَح، لیوِ رْمَلْکیح پُتْرَح، مَلْکِرْیانَّسْیَ پُتْرَح؛ یانّو یُوشَپھَح پُتْرَح۔ |
25 of Mattathias, of Amos, of Nahum, —of Esli, of Naggai:
| یُوشَپھْ مَتَّتھِیَسْیَ پُتْرَح، مَتَّتھِیَ آموسَح پُتْرَح، آموسْ نَہُومَح پُتْرَح، نَہُومْ اِشْلیح پُتْرَح اِشْلِرْنَگیح پُتْرَح۔ |
26 of Maath, of Mattathias, of Semein, —of Josech, of Joda:
| نَگِرْماٹَح پُتْرَح، ماٹْ مَتَّتھِیَسْیَ پُتْرَح، مَتَّتھِیَح شِمِییح پُتْرَح، شِمِیِرْیُوشَپھَح پُتْرَح، یُوشَپھْ یِہُوداح پُتْرَح۔ |
27 of Joanan, of Rhesa, of Zerubbabel, —of Salathiel, of Neri:
| یِہُودا یوہاناح پُتْرَح، یوہانا رِیشاح پُتْرَح، رِیشاح سِرُبّابِلَح پُتْرَح، سِرُبّابِلْ شَلْتِیییلَح پُتْرَح، شَلْتِیییلْ نیریح پُتْرَح۔ |
28 of Melchi, of Addi, of Cosam, —of Elmadam, of Er:
| نیرِرْمَلْکیح پُتْرَح، مَلْکِح اَدْیَح پُتْرَح، اَدِّی کوشَمَح پُتْرَح، کوشَمْ اِلْمودَدَح پُتْرَح، اِلْمودَدْ ایرَح پُتْرَح۔ |
29 of Jesus, of Eliezer, of Jorim, —of Matthat, of Levi:
| ایرْ یوشیح پُتْرَح، یوشِح اِلِیییشَرَح پُتْرَح، اِلِیییشَرْ یورِیمَح پُتْرَح، یورِیمْ مَتَّتَح پُتْرَح، مَتَّتَ لیویح پُتْرَح۔ |
30 of Symeon, of Judas, of Joseph, —of Jonam, of Eliakim:
| لیوِح شِمِیونَح پُتْرَح، شِمِیونْ یِہُوداح پُتْرَح، یِہُودا یُوشُپھَح پُتْرَح، یُوشُپھْ یونَنَح پُتْرَح، یانَنْ اِلِییاکِیمَح پُتْرَح۔ |
31 of Melea, of Menna, of Mattatha, —of Natham, of David:
| اِلِیاکِیمْح مِلییاح پُتْرَح، مِلییا مَینَنَح پُتْرَح، مَینَنْ مَتَّتَّسْیَ پُتْرَح، مَتَّتّو ناتھَنَح پُتْرَح، ناتھَنْ دایُودَح پُتْرَح۔ |
32 of Jesse, of Obed, of Boaz, —of Salmon, of Nashon:
| دایُودْ یِشَیَح پُتْرَح، یِشَیَ اوبیدَح پُتْرَ، اوبیدْ بویَسَح پُتْرَح، بویَسْ سَلْمونَح پُتْرَح، سَلْمونْ نَہَشونَح پُتْرَح۔ |
33 of Amminadab, of Arni, of Hezron, —of Perez, of Judah:
| نَہَشونْ اَمِّینادَبَح پُتْرَح، اَمِّینادَبْ اَرامَح پُتْرَح، اَرامْ ہِشْرونَح پُتْرَح، ہِشْرونْ پیرَسَح پُتْرَح، پیرَسْ یِہُوداح پُتْرَح۔ |
34 of Jacob, of Isaac, of Abraham, —of Terah, of Nahor:
| یِہُودا یاکُوبَح پُتْرَح، یاکُوبْ اِسْہاکَح پُتْرَح، اِسْہاکْ اِبْراہِیمَح پُتْرَح، اِبْراہِیمْ تیرَہَح پُتْرَح، تیرَہْ ناہورَح پُتْرَح۔ |
35 of Serug, of Reu, of Peleg, —of Eber, of Shelah:
| ناہورْ سِرُگَح پُتْرَح، سِرُگْ رِیْوَح پُتْرَح، رِیُوح پیلَگَح پُتْرَح، پیلَگْ ایوَرَح پُتْرَح، ایوَرْ شیلَہَح پُتْرَح۔ |
36 of Cainan, of Arphaxad, of Shem, —of Noah, of Lamech:
| شیلَہْ کَینَنَح پُتْرَح، کَینَنْ اَرْپھَکْشَدَح پُتْرَح، اَرْپھَکْشَدْ شامَح پُتْرَح، شامْ نوہَح پُتْرَح، نوہو لیمَکَح پُتْرَح۔ |
37 of Methuselah, of Enoch, of Jared, —of Mahalaleel, of Cainan:
| لیمَکْ مِتھُوشیلَہَح پُتْرَح، مِتھُوشیلَہْ ہَنوکَح پُتْرَح، ہَنوکْ ییرَدَح پُتْرَح، ییرَدْ مَہَلَلیلَح پُتْرَح، مَہَلَلیلْ کَینَنَح پُتْرَح۔ |

| کَینَنْ اِنوشَح پُتْرَح، اِنوشْ شیتَح پُتْرَح، شیتْ آدَمَح پُتْرَ، آدَمْ اِیشْوَرَسْیَ پُتْرَح۔ |
