Luke 22
1 And the feast of the unleavened bread, which is called a Passover, was drawing near.
Y la fiesta de los panes sin levadura estaba cerca, que se llama la Pascua.
2 And the High-priests and the Scribes were seeking, how they might get rid of him; for they feared the people.
Y los principales sacerdotes y los escribas buscaban la oportunidad de matarlo, pero temían al pueblo.
3 But Satan entered into Judas, him called Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve;
Y Satanás entró en Judas Iscariote, que fue uno de los doce.
4 and, departing, he conversed with the High-priests and Captains, as to how, unto them, he might deliver him up.
Y él se fue y tuvo una discusión con los principales sacerdotes y los gobernantes, acerca de cómo podría entregarlo a ellos.
5 And they rejoiced, and bargained with him to give him, silver;
Y se alegraron, y se comprometieron a darle dinero.
6 and he freely consented, and began seeking a good opportunity for delivering him up, in the absence of a multitude, unto them.
Y él hizo un acuerdo con ellos para entregárselo, si tuviera la oportunidad, cuando la gente no estaba presente.
7 Now the day of the unleavened bread a came, —on which it was needful to be sacrificing the passover.
Y vino el día de los panes sin levadura, cuando se tenía que sacrificar el cordero de la Pascua.
8 And he sent forth Peter and John, saying—Go, and make ready, for us, the passover, that we may eat.
Y Jesús envió a Pedro y a Juan, diciendo: vayan preparen la Pascua para nosotros, para que podamos tomarla.
9 And, they, said unto him—Where wiliest thou, we should make ready?
Y ellos le dijeron: ¿Dónde tenemos que prepararlo?
10 And, he, said unto them—Lo! when ye have entered into the city, there will meet you a man, bearing, an earthen-jar of water: follow him into the house into which he is entering.
Y les dijo: Cuando entres en la ciudad, verás a un hombre que viene a ti con una vasija de agua; ir tras él a la casa a la que va.
11 And ye shall say unto the master of the house—The teacher saith unto thee, where is the lodging, where, the passover, with my disciples, I may eat?
Y le dicen al dueño de la casa: El Maestro dice: ¿Dónde está el cuarto de invitados, donde pueda tomar la Pascua con mis discípulos?
12 And, he, unto you, will shew, a large upper room, spread: there, make ready.
Y él te llevará a un gran salón con una mesa y asientos: allí listo.
13 And, departing, they found according as he had said unto them, and made ready the passover.
Y ellos fueron, y fue como él había dicho: y ellos prepararon la Pascua.
14 And, when the hour arrived, he reclined, and the apostles with him.
Y llegado el momento, tomó asiento, y los apóstoles con él.
15 And he said unto them—I have greatly desired, to eat, this passover, with you before I suffer;
Y él dijo: cuánto he deseado y esperado celebrar esta Pascua con ustedes antes de venir a mi muerte;
16 For, I say unto you—In nowise shall I eat it, until it have been fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
Porque les digo que no lo comeré otra vez hasta que esté completo en el reino de Dios.
17 And, accepting a cup, giving thanks, he said—Take this, and divide among yourselves;
Y tomó una copa y, dando gracias, dijo: compartan esto entre ustedes;
18 For, I say unto you—In nowise shall I drink henceforth of the fruit of the vine, until, the kingdom of God, shall come.
Porque les digo que no tomaré del fruto de la vid hasta que venga el reino de Dios.
19 And, taking a loaf, he gave thanks, and brake, and gave unto them, saying—This is my body which in your behalf is being given: this, be ye doing, in remembrance, of me.
Y tomó pan y, dio gracias, se lo dio a ellos cuando fue quebrado, y dijo: Esto es mi cuerpo, que por ustedes es dado; haced esto en memoria de mí.
20 And—the cup, in like manner, after the taking of supper, saying—This cup, is the new covenant in my blood, which, in your behalf, is to be poured out.
Y de la misma manera, después de la comida, tomó la copa, diciendo: Esta copa es el nuevo testamento hecho con mi sangre que es derramada por ustedes.
21 Nevertheless, lo! the hand of him who is delivering me up, is with me upon the table.
Pero la mano del que me va a traicionar está conmigo en la mesa.
22 Because, the Son of Man, indeed, according to what is marked out, goeth his way; nevertheless, alas! for that man through whom he is being delivered up.
Porque se hará al Hijo del Hombre según el propósito de Dios, pero infeliz es ese hombre por quien es entregado.
23 And, they, began to be enquiring together, among themselves, as to which, then, it could be, from among them, who, this thing, was about to perpetrate!
Y se preguntaban quién de ellos sería quién haría esto.
24 And it came to pass that there was, a rivalry also, among them, as to which of them seemed to be greater [than the rest].
Y hubo una discusión entre ellos también sobre cuál de ellos era el más grande.
25 And, he, said unto them—The kings of the nations, lord it over them, and, they who wield authority over them, benefactors, are called.
Y él dijo: Los reyes de los gentiles son señores sobre ellos, y los que tienen autoridad reciben nombres de honor.
26 But, ye, not so! On the contrary—the greater among you, Let him become as, the younger, and, he that governeth, as, he that ministereth,
Pero que no sea así con ustedes; pero el que es más grande, que se vuelva como el mas joven; y el que es el jefe, como un sirviente.
27 For which is greater—he that reclineth? or he that ministereth? Is not he that reclineth? But, I, am, in your midst, as he that ministereth,
¿Porque cuál es más grande, el invitado que se sienta a una comida o el criado? ¿No es él que se sienta a la mesa? mas yo estoy entre ustedes como él que sirve.
28 Ye, however, are they who have remained throughout with me in my temptations;
Pero ustedes son los que han permanecido conmigo en mis pruebas;
29 And, I, covenant unto you—as my Father hath covenanted unto me—a kingdom,
Y les daré un reino como mi Padre me lo dio a mí,
30 That ye may eat and drink, at my table, in my kingdom, and sit upon thrones, judging, the twelve tribes of Israel.
para que tomes comida y bebida en mi mesa en mi reino, y los establezca como reyes, juzgando a las doce tribus de Israel.
31 Simon! Simon! lo! Satan, hath claimed you, to sift as wheat;
Dijo también él Señor: Simón, Simón, Satanás los ha pedido a ustedes, para sacudirlos como trigo.
32 But, I, have entreated for thee, that thy faith may not fail. And, thou, once thou hast turned, strengthen thy brethren.
Pero yo he hecho oración por ti, para que tu fe no te falte, y tú, cuando te hayas vuelto a mi, ayuda a tus hermanos a permanecer firmes.
33 But, he, said unto him—Lord! with thee, am I, ready, both into prison and unto death, to be going.
Y él le dijo: Señor, estoy listo para ir contigo a la cárcel y a la muerte.
34 And, he, said: I tell thee, Peter—A cock will not crow this day, until, thrice, thou deny that thou knowest me.
Y él dijo: Te digo, Pedro, antes del segundo clamor del gallo hoy, dirás tres veces que no me conoces.
35 And he said unto them—When I sent you forth, without purse or satchel or sandals, of anything, came ye short? And, they, said—Of nothing!
Y él les dijo: ¿Cuándo los envié sin dinero, sin bolsa ni zapatos, tuvieron necesidad de algo? Y ellos dijeron: Nada.
36 And he said unto them—But, now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, in like manner also, a satchel; and, he that hath nothing, let him sell his mantle, and buy a sword!
Y les dijo: Pero ahora, el que tiene una bolsa de dinero, o una bolsa para comer, que la tome; y el que no tiene espada, déjele su capa por dinero y consiga una espada.
37 For I say unto you—This that is written, must needs be completed in me, —And, with lawless ones, was he reckoned; for, even that which concerneth me, hath, completion.
Porque les digo que estas palabras que fueron escritas se cumplirán en mí, y fue contado entre los malhechores; porque lo que se ha dicho en las Escrituras acerca de mí, tiene un cumplimiento.
38 And, they, said—Lord, lo! two swords, here! And, he, said unto them—’Tis, enough!
Y ellos dijeron: Señor, aquí hay dos espadas. Y él dijo: Basta ya.
39 And going out, he went, according to his custom, unto the Mount of Olives; and the disciples [also] followed him.
Y saliendo, se fue, como era su rutina, al monte de los Olivos, y los discípulos fueron con él.
40 And, coming up to the place, he said unto them—Be praying, lest ye enter into temptation.
Y cuando llegó al lugar, les dijo: Hagan una oración para que no sean puestos a prueba.
41 And, he, was torn from them about a stone’s throw; and, bending his knees, he began to pray,
Y se alejó un poco de ellos y, arrodillándose en oración, dijo:
42 saying—Father! if thou please, bear aside this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be accomplished.
Padre, si te place, quítame esta copa; pero, que se haga tu placer, no el mío.
43 And there appeared unto him a messenger from heaven, strengthening him, —
Y un ángel del cielo vino a él para darle fuerza.
44 and, coming to be in an agony, more intensely, was he praying; and his perspiration became, as if great drops of blood, falling upon the ground.
Y estando en gran angustia de alma, la fuerza de su oración se hizo más fuerte, y grandes gotas, como sangre, en sudor, cayendo a la tierra.
45 And, arising from prayer, he came unto his disciples, and found them falling asleep by reason of their grief;
Y, levantándose de la oración, vino a los discípulos, y vio que estaban durmiendo por tristeza.
46 and he said unto them—Why are ye slumbering? Arise! and be praying, lest ye enter into temptation.
Y él dijo: ¿Por qué estás durmiendo? Levántense y ponganse a orar, para que no sean puesto a prueba.
47 While yet he was speaking, lo! a multitude; and, he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them on, —and he drew near unto Jesus, to kiss him.
Y mientras él decía estas palabras, vino un grupo de personas, y Judas, uno de los doce, estaba frente a ellos, y se acercó a Jesús para darle un beso.
48 But, Jesus, said to him—Judas! with a kiss, the Son of Man, dost thou deliver up?
Pero Jesús le dijo: Judas, ¿traicionas al Hijo del hombre con un beso?
49 And they who were about him, seeing what would be, said—Lord! shall we smite with the sword?
Y cuando los que estaban con él vieron lo que venía, dijeron: Señor, ¿podemos hacer uso de nuestras espadas?
50 And a certain one from among them smote, the High-priest’s, servant, and took off his right ear.
Y uno de ellos dio un golpe al siervo del sumo sacerdote, cortándole la oreja derecha.
51 But Jesus, answering, said—Let be—as long as this! …And, touching the ear, he healed him.
Pero Jesús, respondiendo, dijo: basta ya, Y al tocar su oreja, lo sano.
52 And Jesus said unto the High-priests, and Captains of the temple, and Elders, who had come against him—As against a robber, have ye come out, with swords and clubs?
Y Jesús dijo a los principales sacerdotes, a los capitanes del Templo y a los gobernantes que habían venido contra él: ¿Como contra un ladrón has salido con espadas y varas?
53 Daily, was I with you, in the temple, and yet ye stretched not forth your hands against me! …But, this, is your hour, and the authority of darkness.
Cuando estuve en el Templo contigo todos los días, tus manos no se estiraron contra mí, pero esta es tu hora y la autoridad de las tinieblas.
54 And, having arrested him, they led him away, and took him into the house of the High-priest; and, Peter, was following afar.
Y lo hicieron prisionero, y lo llevaron a la casa del sumo sacerdote. Pero Pedro los persiguió a distancia.
55 And, they having kindled up a fire in the midst of the court, and taken seats together, Peter was for sitting among them.
Y se encendió un fuego en medio de la plaza abierta, y se sentaron juntos, y Pedro estaba entre ellos.
56 But, a certain maid-servant, seeing him seating himself towards the light, and looking steadfastly at him, said—This one also, was, with him.
Y una cierta sierva, viéndolo a la luz del fuego, y mirándole con atención, dijo: Este hombre estaba con él.
57 But, he, denied, saying—I know him not, woman!
Pero él dijo: Mujer, no es verdad; No tengo conocimiento de él.
58 And, after a little, another, beholding him, said—Thou also, art, from among them. But, Peter, said—Man! I am not.
Y después de un momento, otro lo vio y dijo: Tú eres uno de ellos; y él dijo: Hombre, no soy.
59 And, about one hour having passed, a certain other, began stoutly to insist, saying—Of a truth, this one also, was with him; for indeed he is, a Galilaean.
Y después de alrededor de una hora, otro hombre dijo, con decisión: Ciertamente este hombre estaba con él, porque él es galileo.
60 But Peter said—Man! I know not what thou art saying! And, instantly while yet he was speaking, a cock crew.
Y Pedro dijo: Hombre, no tengo conocimiento de estas cosas de las que estás hablando. Y de inmediato, mientras decía estas palabras, llegó el grito de un gallo.
61 And the Lord turned, and looked at Peter; and Peter was put in mind of the declaration of the Lord, how he had said to him—Before, a cock, crow this day, thou wilt deny me thrice!
Y el Señor, volviéndose, miró a Pedro. Y las palabras del Señor vinieron a la mente de Pedro, cómo él había dicho: Esta noche, antes de la hora del grito del gallo, me negarás tres veces.
62 [And, going forth outside, he wept bitterly.]
Y él salió, llorando amargamente.
63 And, the men who held him bound, kept mocking him, with blows;
Y los hombres en cuyas manos estaba Jesús, se burlaban de él y le daban golpes.
64 and, blindfolding him, questioned him, saying—Prophesy! which is he that smote thee?
Y cubriéndole los ojos, le dijeron: ¿Eres profeta suficiente para decir quién te dio ese golpe?
65 and, many other things, with profane speech, were they saying unto him.
Y ellos dijeron muchas otras maldades contra él.
66 And, when it became day, the Eldership of the people was gathered together—both High-priests and Scribes, —and they led him away into their high-council, saying—If, thou, art the Christ, tell us!
Y cuando fue de día, los príncipes del pueblo se juntaron, con los principales sacerdotes y los escribas, y lo llevaron delante de su Sanedrín, diciendo:
67 But he said unto them—If I should tell, you, in nowise would ye believe,
Si tú eres el Cristo, dilo. Pero él dijo: Si yo digo eso, no creerás;
68 And, if I should put questions, in nowise would ye answer;
Y si te hago una pregunta, no darás una respuesta ni me soltaras.
69 But, henceforth, shall the Son of Man be seated on the right hand of the power of God.
Pero desde ahora, el Hijo del hombre se sentará a la diestra del poder de Dios.
70 And they all said—Thou, then, art the Son of God? And, he, unto them said—Ye, say [it], —because, I, am.
Y todos dijeron: ¿Eres tú entonces el Hijo de Dios? y él dijo: Ustedes dicen que yo soy.
71 And, they, said—What, further, need have we, of witness? We ourselves, have heard it from his mouth.
Y ellos dijeron: ¿Qué más necesitamos nosotros, testigos? tenemos las mismas palabras de su boca.
