Leviticus 17
1 And Yahweh spake unto Moses saying: —
Y él Señor dijo a Moisés:
2 Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons and unto all the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say unto them, —This, is the thing which Yahweh hath commanded, saying:
Di a Aarón, a sus hijos y a todos los hijos de Israel: Este es lo que ha mandado el Señor.
3 What man soever, there be of the house of Israel, who slayeth an ox or lamb or goat, in the camp, —or who slayeth it outside the camp;
Si alguno de los hombres de Israel matara a un buey o un cordero o una cabra, dentro o fuera del campamento de la tienda;
4 and, unto the entrance of the tent of meeting, bringeth it not in, to present it as an oblation unto Yahweh, before the habitation of Yahweh, blood, shall be imputed to that man—blood, hath he shed, therefore shall that man be cut off from the midst of his people:
Y no lo ha llevado a la puerta de la Tienda de reunión, para hacer una ofrenda al Señor, delante de la Tienda del Señor, su sangre estará sobre él, porque él ha quitado la vida y será cortado de entre su pueblo:
5 to the end that the sons of Israel may bring in their sacrifices which they are offering upon the face of the field, that they may bring them in unto Yahweh—unto the entrance of the tent of meeting, unto the priest, —and that so as peace-offerings unto Yahweh, they may offer them.
Para que los hijos de Israel puedan llevar al Señor, a la puerta de la tienda de reunión y al sacerdote, las ofrendas que han hecho morir en el campo abierto, y que puedan hacer sus ofrendas de paz al Señor.
6 Then shall the priest dash the blood against the altar of Yahweh, at the entrance of the tent of meeting, —and shall make a perfume of the fat, as a satisfying odour unto Yahweh;
Y el sacerdote pondrá sangre sobre el altar del Señor a la puerta de la tienda de reunión, quemando la grasa en olor grato al Señor.
7 so shall they no more offer their sacrifices unto demons after whom they are unchastely going away, —a statute age-abiding, shall this be to them unto their generations.
Y no hagan más ofrendas a los espíritus malignos, tras de los cuales han fornicado, apartándose del Señor. Que esto sea una ley para ellos para siempre, a través de todas sus generaciones.
8 Wherefore, unto them, shalt thou say: What man soever, there may be of the house of Israel, or of the sojourners that sojourn in their midst, —who causeth to go up an ascending-offering, or a sacrifice;
Y diles: Si alguno de los hombres de Israel, o cualquier otro que viva entre ellos, hace una ofrenda quemada u otra ofrenda,
9 and unto the entrance of the tent of meeting, doth not bring it in, to offer it unto Yahweh, then shall that man be cut off from among his kinsfolk.
Y no lo lleva a la puerta de la Tienda de reunión para hacer una ofrenda al Señor, que tal hombre será cortado de entre su pueblo.
10 And, what man soever, there may be of the house of Israel, or of the sojourners that sojourn in their midst, that partaketh of any manner of blood, then will I set my face against the person that partaketh of the blood, and will cut him off from the midst of his people.
Y si cualquier hombre de Israel, o cualquier otro que viva entre ellos, toma algún tipo de sangre para comer, mi ira se volverá contra ese hombre y él será separado de entre su pueblo.
11 For as for the life of the flesh, in the blood, it is, therefore have, I, given it unto you upon the altar, to put a propitiatory-covering over your lives, —for the blood, it is, which, by virtue of the life, maketh propitiation.
Porque la vida de la carne está en su sangre; y se las he dado a ustedes en el altar que quita sus pecados, porque es la sangre la que libra del pecado a tu vida.
12 For this cause, have I said unto the sons of Israel, Not a person from among you shall partake of blood, —Even the sojourner that sojourneth in your midst, shall not partake of blood.
Por esta razón he dicho a los hijos de Israel: Ningún hombre entre ustedes, o cualquier otro que viva con ustedes, puede tomar sangre como alimento.
13 And, what man soever, there may be of the sons of Israel, or of the sojourners that sojourn in their midst, who taketh by hunting any wild-beast or bird that may be eaten, then shall he pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust;
Y cualquier hombre de Israel, o cualquier otro que viva entre ellos, que cazare cualquier bestia o ave usada como alimento, su sangre debe ser derramada y cubierta con tierra.
14 for, as for the life of all flesh, the blood thereof, for the life thereof, standeth, therefore have I said unto the sons of Israel—Of the blood of no manner of flesh, shall ye partake, For, the life of all flesh is the blood thereof; whoso partaketh thereof, shall be cut off.
Porque la sangre es la vida de toda carne, y así he dicho a los hijos de Israel: No debes tomar ningún tipo de sangre como alimento, y cualquier hombre que lo haga será cortado.
15 And, in the case of any person who eateth that which died of itself or was torn in pieces, whether he be home-born, or a sojourner, then shall he wash his clothes, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening, and then be clean.
Y cualquiera que tome como alimento cualquier cosa que haya llegado a un final natural, o cualquier cosa que haya sido sacrificada por las bestias, si es uno de ustedes por nacimiento, o de otra nación, tendrá que lavar su ropa y así mismo se lavará su cuerpo y será inmundo hasta la tarde, y luego quedará limpio.
16 But, if he wash them not, and his flesh, he do not bathe, then shall he bear his iniquity.
Pero si su ropa no es lavada y su cuerpo bañado, su pecado estará sobre él.
