< Leviticus 17 >

1 And Yahweh spake unto Moses saying: —
Angraeng mah Mosi khaeah,
2 Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons and unto all the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say unto them, —This, is the thing which Yahweh hath commanded, saying:
Aaron hoi a capanawk, Israel kaminawk boih khaeah, Angraeng mah hae tiah thuih;
3 What man soever, there be of the house of Israel, who slayeth an ox or lamb or goat, in the camp, —or who slayeth it outside the camp;
kawbaktih Israel kami mah doeh maitaw maeto, to tih ai boeh loe tuucaa maeto, to tih ai boeh loe maeh to angmacae ohhaih im ah maw, to tih ai boeh loe tasa bangah maw boh moe,
4 and, unto the entrance of the tent of meeting, bringeth it not in, to present it as an oblation unto Yahweh, before the habitation of Yahweh, blood, shall be imputed to that man—blood, hath he shed, therefore shall that man be cut off from the midst of his people:
Angraeng ih kahni im hmaa ih, amkhuenghaih kahni im thok taengah, Angraeng khaeah paek han sin ai nahaeloe, to kami to athii longsak kami ah net moe, angmah ih acaeng thung hoi pahnawt han oh.
5 to the end that the sons of Israel may bring in their sacrifices which they are offering upon the face of the field, that they may bring them in unto Yahweh—unto the entrance of the tent of meeting, unto the priest, —and that so as peace-offerings unto Yahweh, they may offer them.
Israel kaminawk loe taw ah a sak o ih angbawnhaih to, kaminawk amkhuenghaih kahni im hmaa, Angraeng hmaa ah, qaima khaeah sin o tih; to hmuen to Angraeng khaeah angdaeh angbawnhaih ahmuen ah paek o tih.
6 Then shall the priest dash the blood against the altar of Yahweh, at the entrance of the tent of meeting, —and shall make a perfume of the fat, as a satisfying odour unto Yahweh;
Qaima mah athii to amkhuenghaih kahni im thok taengah kaom, hmaicam nuiah haeh ueloe, Angraeng khaeah hmuihoih ah athawk to hmai pakhaem tih.
7 so shall they no more offer their sacrifices unto demons after whom they are unchastely going away, —a statute age-abiding, shall this be to them unto their generations.
Nihcae mah angmacae hoi a takpum zawhhaih, taqawk khaeah angbawnhaih sah o mak ai boeh. Hae loe nihcae hoi a caanawk khoek to pazui han paek ih dungzan ah kaom zaehhoihhaih daan ah oh.
8 Wherefore, unto them, shalt thou say: What man soever, there may be of the house of Israel, or of the sojourners that sojourn in their midst, —who causeth to go up an ascending-offering, or a sacrifice;
Nihcae khae ih, Mi kawbaktih Israel kami doeh, nihcae khaeah kaom angvinnawk doeh, hmai angbawnhaih maw, to tih ai boeh loe paek han ih hmuen maw a sin o naah,
9 and unto the entrance of the tent of meeting, doth not bring it in, to offer it unto Yahweh, then shall that man be cut off from among his kinsfolk.
amkhuenghaih kahni im thok taengah, Angraeng khaeah sin o ai nahaeloe, to kami to angmah ih acaeng thung hoi pahnawt oh, tiah thui paeh.
10 And, what man soever, there may be of the house of Israel, or of the sojourners that sojourn in their midst, that partaketh of any manner of blood, then will I set my face against the person that partaketh of the blood, and will cut him off from the midst of his people.
Israel imthung takoh mah maw, to tih ai boeh loe nihcae salakah kaom angvinnawk mah maw, athii to caa o nahaeloe, athii caa kami to mikhmai ka set thuih moe, angmah ih acaeng thung hoiah pahnawt sut han.
11 For as for the life of the flesh, in the blood, it is, therefore have, I, given it unto you upon the altar, to put a propitiatory-covering over your lives, —for the blood, it is, which, by virtue of the life, maketh propitiation.
Taksa hinghaih loe athii thungah oh; na sak o ih zaehaih to tahmen moe, na hing o thai hanah, to athii to hmaicam nuiah ka paek boeh; hae loe kami hing hanah zae angbawnhaih athii ah oh.
12 For this cause, have I said unto the sons of Israel, Not a person from among you shall partake of blood, —Even the sojourner that sojourneth in your midst, shall not partake of blood.
To pongah Israel kaminawk khaeah, Nangcae thung ih mi kawbaktih doeh athii to caa o hmah; nangcae salakah kaom angvin mah doeh athii to caak han om ai, tiah ka thuih boeh.
13 And, what man soever, there may be of the sons of Israel, or of the sojourners that sojourn in their midst, who taketh by hunting any wild-beast or bird that may be eaten, then shall he pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust;
Israel kami mah maw, to tih ai boeh loe nangcae salakah kaom angvin mah maw, moi zoep naah moi maw, tavaa maw naeh nahaeloe, athii pathok moe, athii to maiphu hoi aphum pacoengah ni, caak han oh.
14 for, as for the life of all flesh, the blood thereof, for the life thereof, standeth, therefore have I said unto the sons of Israel—Of the blood of no manner of flesh, shall ye partake, For, the life of all flesh is the blood thereof; whoso partaketh thereof, shall be cut off.
Athii loe taksa boih hinghaih ah oh; to pongah, Nangcae loe kawbaktih moi thii doeh caa o hmah, tiah Israel kaminawk khaeah ka thuih boeh; taksa boih hinghaih loe athii ah oh pongah, athii caa kami loe, pahnawt sut ah om tih.
15 And, in the case of any person who eateth that which died of itself or was torn in pieces, whether he be home-born, or a sojourner, then shall he wash his clothes, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening, and then be clean.
Angmah koeh kadueh moi, moi kasan mah kaek ih moi caa kami, prae thung ih kami maw, to tih ai boeh loe angvin doeh, a khukbuen to pasuk moe, tui amhluk han oh; anih loe duembang khoek to ciim mak ai; tui amhluk pacoengah ni ciim vop tih.
16 But, if he wash them not, and his flesh, he do not bathe, then shall he bear his iniquity.
Toe a khukbuen to pasuk ai moe, tui doeh amhluh ai nahaeloe, to kami loe a zaehaih tho to hnu tih, tiah thui paeh, tiah a naa.
