Leviticus 16
1 And Yahweh spake unto Moses, after the death of the two sons of Aaron, —when they had offered strange fire before Yahweh and died.
Και ελάλησε Κύριος προς τον Μωϋσήν μετά τον θάνατον των δύο υιών του Ααρών, ότε έκαμον προσφοράν ενώπιον του Κυρίου και απέθανον·
2 And Yahweh said unto Moses—Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he do not come at all times into the holy place, within the veil, —into the presence of the propitiatory, which is upon the ark, so shall he not die, for, in the cloud, will I appear upon the propitiatory.
και είπε Κύριος προς τον Μωϋσήν, Λάλησον προς Ααρών τον αδελφόν σου, να μη εισέρχηται πάσαν ώραν εις το αγιαστήριον το ένδοθεν του καταπετάσματος έμπροσθεν του ιλαστηρίου του επί της κιβωτού, διά να μη αποθάνη· διότι εν νεφέλη θέλω εμφανίζεσθαι επί του ιλαστηρίου.
3 Herewith, shall Aaron come into the holy place, —With a bullock the choice of the herd as a sin-bearer, and a ram as an ascending-sacrifice.
Ούτω θέλει εισέρχεσθαι ο Ααρών εις το αγιαστήριον, μετά μόσχου εκ βοών διά προσφοράν περί αμαρτίας και κριού διά ολοκαύτωμα.
4 A holy tunic of linen, shall he put on and drawers of linen, shall be upon his flesh, and with a band of linen, shall he gird himself, and with a turban of linen, shall his head be wrapped about, —holy garments, they are, therefore shall he bathe in water his flesh, and so put them on.
Χιτώνα λινούν ηγιασμένον θέλει ενδύεσθαι, και περισκελή λινά θέλουσιν είσθαι επί της σαρκός αυτού, και ζώνην λινήν θέλει είσθαι εζωσμένος και μίτραν λινήν θέλει φορεί· ταύτα είναι ενδύματα άγια· και θέλει λούει εν ύδατι το σώμα αυτού και θέλει ενδύεσθαι αυτά.
5 And, from the assembly of the sons of Israel, shall he receive two he-goats, for bearing sin, —and one ram, as an ascending-sacrifice.
Και παρά της συναγωγής των υιών Ισραήλ θέλει λάβει δύο τράγους εξ αιγών διά προσφοράν περί αμαρτίας και ένα κριόν διά ολοκαύτωμα.
6 Then shall Aaron bring near the sin-bearing bullock which is for himself, —and put a propitiatory-covering about himself, and about his household.
Και θέλει προσφέρει ο Ααρών τον μόσχον της περί αμαρτίας προσφοράς, όστις είναι δι' εαυτόν, και θέλει κάμει εξιλέωσιν υπέρ εαυτού και υπέρ του οίκου αυτού.
7 Then shall he take the two goats, —and cause them to stand before Yahweh, at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
Και θέλει λάβει τους δύο τράγους και στήσει αυτούς ενώπιον του Κυρίου εις την θύραν της σκηνής του μαρτυρίου.
8 And Aaron shall cast lots over the two goats, —one lot for Yahweh, and one lot for Azazel.
Και θέλει ρίψει ο Ααρών κλήρους επί τους δύο τράγους· ένα κλήρον διά τον Κύριον και ένα κλήρον διά τον τράγον τον απολυτέον.
9 Then shall Aaron bring near the goat over which came up the lot for Yahweh, —and shall make of him a sin-bearer;
Και θέλει φέρει ο Ααρών τον τράγον, επί του οποίου έπεσεν ο κλήρος του Κυρίου, και θέλει προσφέρει αυτόν διά προσφοράν περί αμαρτίας.
10 but, the goat over which came up the lot for Azazel, shall he cause to stand alive—before Yahweh to put a propitiatory-covering over him, —to send him away unto Azazel, towards the desert.
Τον δε τράγον, επί του οποίου έπεσεν ο κλήρος του να απολυθή, θέλει στήσει ζώντα ενώπιον του Κυρίου, διά να κάμη εξιλέωσιν επ' αυτού, ώστε να αποστείλη αυτόν απόλυτον εις την έρημον.
11 So Aaron shall bring near the sin-bearing bullock which is for himself, and shall put a propitiatory-covering about himself, and about his household, —and shall slay the sin-bearing bullock which is for himself;
Και θέλει φέρει ο Ααρών τον μόσχον της περί αμαρτίας προσφοράς, όστις είναι δι' εαυτόν, και θέλει κάμει εξιλέωσιν υπέρ εαυτού και υπέρ του οίκου αυτού· και θέλει σφάξει τον μόσχον της περί αμαρτίας προσφοράς τον περί εαυτού.
12 and shall take the censer-full of burning coals of fire from off the altar from before Yahweh, and his hands full of fragrant incense, beaten small, —and bring within the veil;
Και θέλει λάβει το θυμιατήριον πλήρες ανθράκων πυρός εκ του θυσιαστηρίου απ' έμπροσθεν του Κυρίου· και θέλει γεμίσει τας χείρας αυτού από ευώδους θυμιάματος λειοτριβημένον και θέλει φέρει αυτό ένδον του καταπετάσματος.
13 and shall put the incense upon the fire before Yahweh, —and the cloud of incense shall cover the propitiatory which is over the testimony, and he shall not die.
Και θέλει βάλει το θυμίαμα επί το πυρ ενώπιον του Κυρίου, και θέλει καλύψει ο καπνός του θυμιάματος το ιλαστήριον το επί του μαρτυρίου, διά να μη αποθάνη.
14 Then shall he take of the blood of the bullock, and shall sprinkle with his finger upon the face of the propitiatory, eastwards, —and before the propitiatory, shall he sprinkle seven times, of the blood, with his finger.
Και θέλει λάβει από του αίματος του μόσχου και ραντίσει διά του δακτύλου αυτού επί το ιλαστήριον κατά ανατολάς· και έμπροσθεν του ιλαστηρίου θέλει ραντίσει επτάκις από του αίματος διά του δακτύλου αυτού.
15 Then shall he slay the sin-bearing goat which is for the people, and bring in its blood, within the veil, —and do with its blood, as he did to the blood of the bullock, and shall sprinkle it, upon the propitiatory and before the propitiatory:
Τότε θέλει σφάξει τον τράγον της περί αμαρτίας προσφοράς τον περί του λαού· και θέλει φέρει το αίμα αυτού ένδον του καταπετάσματος και θέλει κάμει το αίμα αυτού, καθώς έκαμε το αίμα του μόσχου, και θέλει ραντίσει αυτό επί το ιλαστήριον και έμπροσθεν του ιλαστηρίου.
16 so shall he put a propitiatory-covering, over the holy place because of the uncleanness of the sons of Israel, and because of their transgressions to the extent of all their sins, —and, so, shall he do for the tent of meeting which abideth with them, in the midst of their uncleanness.
Και θέλει κάμει εξιλέωσιν υπέρ του αγιαστηρίου διά τας ακαθαρσίας των υιών Ισραήλ, και διά τας παραβάσεις αυτών καθ' όλας αυτών τας αμαρτίας· και ούτω θέλει κάμει περί της σκηνής του μαρτυρίου, ήτις κατοικεί μεταξύ αυτών εν τω μέσω της ακαθαρσίας αυτών.
17 And no human being, shall be in the tent of meeting, when he cometh in to make a covering by propitiation in the holy place, until he goeth out, —so shall he put a propitiatory-covering about himself and about his household and about all the convocation of Israel.
Ουδείς δε άνθρωπος θέλει είσθαι εν τη σκηνή του μαρτυρίου, όταν αυτός εισέρχηται να κάμη εξιλέωσιν εις το αγιαστήριον, εωσού εξέλθη, αφού κάμη εξιλέωσιν υπέρ εαυτού και υπέρ του οίκου αυτού και υπέρ πάσης της συναγωγής του Ισραήλ.
18 Then shall he go out unto the altar which is before Yahweh and shall put a propitiatory-covering thereupon, —and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put upon the horns of the altar, round about;
Τότε θέλει εξέλθει προς το θυσιαστήριον το ενώπιον του Κυρίου και θέλει κάμει εξιλέωσιν περί αυτού· και θέλει λάβει από του αίματος του μόσχου και από του αίματος του τράγου και βάλει επί τα κέρατα του θυσιαστηρίου κύκλω.
19 and shall sprinkle upon it, of the blood with his finger seven times, —and shall cleanse it and hallow it, from the uncleannesses of the sons of Israel.
Και θέλει ραντίσει επ' αυτό από του αίματος διά του δακτύλου αυτού επτάκις και θέλει καθαρίσει αυτό, και αγιάσει αυτό από των ακαθαρσιών των υιών Ισραήλ.
20 And, when he hath made an end of covering by propitiation the holy place, and the tent of meeting, and the altar, then shall he bring near the living goat.
Αφού δε τελειώση να κάμνη εξιλέωσιν υπέρ του αγιαστηρίου και της σκηνής του μαρτυρίου και του θυσιαστηρίου, θέλει φέρει τον τράγον τον ζώντα·
21 And Aaron shall lean his two hands upon the head of the living goat, and confess over him, all the iniquities of the sons of Israel, and all their transgressions, to the extent of all their sins, —and shall put them upon the head of the goat, and then send him away, by the hand of a man appointed towards the desert:
και θέλει επιθέσει ο Ααρών τας δύο χείρας αυτού επί την κεφαλήν του τράγου του ζώντος και θέλει εξομολογηθή επ' αυτού πάσας τας ανομίας των υιών Ισραήλ και πάσας τας παραβάσεις αυτών καθ' όλας αυτών τας αμαρτίας· και θέλει επιθέσει αυτάς εις την κεφαλήν του τράγου· και θέλει αποστείλει αυτόν διά χειρός διωρισμένου ανθρώπου εις την έρημον.
22 so shall the goat bear upon him all their iniquities into a lone land, —and he shall set the goat free, in the desert.
Και θέλει βαστάσει ο τράγος εφ' εαυτού πάσας τας ανομίας αυτών εις γην ακατοίκητον· και θέλει απολύσει τον τράγον εις την έρημον.
23 Then shall Aaron come into the tent of meeting, and put off the linen garments which he put on when he came into the holy place, —and shall leave them there;
Και θέλει εισέλθει ο Ααρών εις την σκηνήν του μαρτυρίου και θέλει εκδυθή την λινήν στολήν, την οποίαν ενεδύθη εισερχόμενος εις το αγιαστήριον, και θέλει αποθέσει αυτήν εκεί·
24 and shall bathe his flesh in water in a holy place, and put on his [other] garments, —and go forth, and offer his own ascending-sacrifice, and the ascending-sacrifice of the people, so shall he put a propitiatory-covering about himself, and about the people;
και θέλει λούσει το σώμα αυτού εν ύδατι εν τόπω αγίω και ενδυθή τα ιμάτια αυτού, και θέλει έλθει και προσφέρει το ολοκαύτωμα αυτού και το ολοκαύτωμα του λαού και θέλει κάμει εξιλέωσιν περί εαυτού και περί του λαού.
25 and, with the fat of the sin-bearer, shall he make a perfume at the altar.
Το δε στέαρ της περί αμαρτίας προσφοράς θέλει καύσει επί του θυσιαστηρίου.
26 And he that sent away the goat unto Azazel, shall wash—his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, —and, after that, shall he come into the camp.
Και ο αποστείλας τον τράγον τον απολυτέον θέλει πλύνει τα ιμάτια αυτού και λούσει το σώμα αυτού εν ύδατι και μετά ταύτα θέλει εισέλθει εις το στρατόπεδον.
27 And the, sin-bearing bullock, and the sin-bearing goat whose blood was brought in to make a propitiatory-covering in the holy place, shall be carried forth outside the camp, —and they shall burn up, in fire, their skins and their flesh, and their dung;
Τον δε μόσχον της περί αμαρτίας προσφοράς και τον τράγον της περί αμαρτίας προσφοράς, των οποίων το αίμα εισήχθη διά να γείνη εξιλέωσις εις το αγιαστήριον, θέλουσι φέρει έξω του στρατοπέδου· και θέλουσι καύσει εν τω πυρί τα δέρματα αυτών και το κρέας αυτών και την κόπρον αυτών.
28 and he that hath burned them, shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, —and, after that, shall he come into the camp.
Και ο καίων αυτά θέλει πλύνει τα ιμάτια αυτού και λούσει το σώμα αυτού εν ύδατι και μετά ταύτα θέλει εισέλθει εις το στρατόπεδον.
29 And it shall become unto you, a statute age-abiding, —In the seventh month on the tenth of the month, Shall ye humble you souls And, no work, shall ye do, The home-born, Or the sojourner that sojourneth in your midst;
Και τούτο θέλει είσθαι εις εσάς νόμιμον αιώνιον· εις τον έβδομον μήνα, την δεκάτην του μηνός, θέλετε ταπεινώσει τας ψυχάς σας και δεν θέλετε κάμει ουδέν έργον ούτε ο αυτόχθων ούτε ο ξένος ο παροικών μεταξύ σας·
30 For on this day, shall a propitiatory-covering, be put over you, to cleanse you, —From all your sins before Yahweh, shall ye be clean.
διότι εν τη ημέρα ταύτη ο ιερεύς θέλει κάμει εξιλέωσιν διά σας, διά να σας καθαρίση, ώστε να ήσθε καθαροί από πασών των αμαρτιών υμών ενώπιον του Κυρίου.
31 A sabbath of sacred rest, it is unto you, Therefore shall ye humble your souls, A statute age-abiding.
Σάββατον αναπαύσεως θέλει είσθαι εις εσάς, και θέλετε ταπεινώσει τας ψυχάς σας κατά νόμιμον αιώνιον.
32 Therefore shall the priest who shall be anointed, and installed, to minister as priest in the stead of his father make propitiation, —So then he shall put on the linen garments the holy garments;
Και θέλει κάμει την εξιλέωσιν ο ιερεύς, ο χρισθείς και καθιερωθείς διά να ιερατεύη αντί του πατρός αυτού, και θέλει ενδυθή την λινήν στολήν, την στολήν την αγίαν.
33 And make propitiation for the holy sanctuary, And for the tent of meeting, and for the altar, shall he make propitiation, —Over the priests also and over all the people of the convocation, shall he put a covering by propitiation.
Και θέλει κάμει εξιλέωσιν υπέρ του αγίου αγιαστηρίου και θέλει κάμει εξιλέωσιν υπέρ της σκηνής του μαρτυρίου και υπέρ του θυσιαστηρίου· και θέλει κάμει εξιλέωσιν υπέρ των ιερέων και υπέρ παντός του λαού της συναγωγής.
34 So shall this become unto you an age-abiding statute, —to put a propitiatory-covering over the sons of Israel because of all their sins, Once in the year. And he did, As Yahweh commanded Moses.
Και τούτο θέλει είσθαι εις εσάς νόμιμον αιώνιον, να κάμνητε εξιλέωσιν υπέρ των υιών Ισραήλ περί πασών των αμαρτιών αυτών άπαξ του ενιαυτού. Και έγεινε καθώς προσέταξεν ο Κύριος εις τον Μωϋσήν.
