< Jude 1 >

1 Jude, Jesus Christ’s servant, and brother of James, unto, the called, by God the Father, beloved, and, by Jesus Christ preserved, —
Jude of Jesus Christ servant, brother then of James, To those in God [the] Father (loved *N+KO) and in Jesus Christ kept called;
2 Mercy to you, and peace, and love, be multiplied!
Mercy to you and peace and love would be multiplied.
3 Beloved! though I was using all diligence to be writing unto you concerning our common salvation, yet have I had necessity to write at once unto you, exhorting you to be earnestly contending for, the faith, once for all delivered unto the saints.
Beloved, all diligence using to write to you concerning shared (of us *NO) salvation, necessity I had to write to you exhorting [you] to contend earnestly for the once for all having been delivered to the saints faith.
4 For there have crept in unobserved certain men, who, from of old, have been publicly notified for this sentence, ungodly, men, the favour of our God, turning into wantonness, and, our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ, denying.
Came in stealthily for certain men, those long ago designated unto this condemnation, ungodly [ones], the of the God of us grace changing into sensuality and the only master (God *K) and Lord of us Jesus Christ denying.
5 I am minded, therefore, to put you in remembrance, —though ye know all things once for all, That the Lord, when a people out of Egypt he had saved, in, the next place, them that believed not, destroyed.
To remind now you I want, knowing you (everything, *N+KO) that (Lord *NK+O) once a people out of [the] land of Egypt having saved afterward those not having believed He destroyed.
6 Messengers also, even them who had not kept their own principality, but had forsaken their proper dwelling, unto the judgment of the great day in perpetual bonds under thick gloom, hath he reserved. (aïdios g126)
[The] angels both not having kept their own domain but having left [their] own dwelling, unto [the] judgment of [the] great day in chains eternal under darkness He has kept; (aïdios g126)
7 As, Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them, having in like manner to these given themselves over to fornication, and gone away after other kind of flesh, lie exposed as an example, a penalty of age-abiding fire, undergoing. (aiōnios g166)
just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the around them cities in like manner with them having indulged in sexual immorality and having gone after flesh strange, are set forth as an example of fire eternal [the] penalty undergoing. (aiōnios g166)
8 In like manner, nevertheless, even these, in their dreamings, flesh indeed defile, while lordship they set aside, and dignities they defame.
Likewise yet also these dreaming [ones] [the] flesh indeed defile, authority however they set aside, glorious [ones] however they blaspheme.
9 Whereas, Michael, the chief-messenger, when, with the adversary, disputing, he was reasoning about the body of Moses, durst not impose on him a defamatory sentence, but said—The Lord rebuke thee!
But Michael the archangel, when with the devil disputing he was reasoning about Moses’ body, not did dare a judgment to bring against [him] blasphemy but said; Would [that] he rebuke you [the] Lord.
10 But, these, whatsoever things, indeed, they know not, they defame; but, whatsoever things, naturally, like the irrational creatures, they well understand, by these, are they, bringing themselves to ruin.
These however as much as indeed not they understood they denigrate; as much as however naturally as the irrational animals they understand, in these things they corrupt themselves.
11 Alas for them! because—in the way of Cain have they gone, and, in the error of Balaam’s wage, have they run riot, and, in the gainsaying of Korah, have they perished.
Woe to them, because in the way of Cain they went and to the error of Balaam for reward they rushed and in the rebellion of Korah they perished.
12 These are they—who, in your love-feasts, are hidden rocks, as they fare sumptuously together, fearlessly, themselves, shepherding, —clouds without water, by winds swept along, trees autumnal, fruitless, twice dead, uprooted,
These are (the ones *no) in the love feasts of you hidden reefs, feasting together [with you] fearlessly themselves shepherding; clouds without water, by winds (being carried away, *N+kO) trees autumnal without fruit, twice having died, having been uprooted;
13 Wild waves of sea, foaming out their own infamies, wandering stars, for whom the gloom of darkness age-abiding hath been reserved. (aiōn g165)
waves wild of [the] sea foaming out their own shame, stars wandering to whom the gloom of darkness to (the *k) age has been reserved. (aiōn g165)
14 But the seventh from Adam, Enoch, prophesied, even of these, saying—Lo! the Lord hath come with his holy myriads, —
He prophesied then also to these [the] seventh from Adam Enoch saying: Behold has come [the] Lord amidst holy [ones] myriads of His
15 To execute judgment against all, and to convict all the ungodly—of all their works of ungodliness, which they committed in ungodliness, and of all the hard things which they have spoken against him—sinners, ungodly!
to carry out judgment against all and (to convict *N+KO) (every *N+kO) (soul *N+KO) (of them *K) concerning all the works of ungodliness of them in which they have been ungodly, and concerning all the harsh [things] that spoke against Him sinners ungodly.
16 These, are murmurers, complainers, according to their covetings, going on, —and, their mouth, speaketh great swelling words, —holding persons in admiration, for profit’s sake.
These are grumblers discontented, after the lusts (of themselves *N+kO) following, and the mouth of them speaks great swelling [words], flattering faces of profit because.
17 But, ye, beloved! remember the things which were foretold by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,
You yourselves however beloved, do remember the declarations which spoken beforehand by the apostles of the Lord of us Jesus Christ,
18 How that they used to say to you—In the last time, there shall be mockers, —according to their own ungodly covetings, going on.
for they were saying to you that (on [this] last *N+kO) (time *N+kO) there will be scoffers after their own passions following of ungodlinesses.
19 These, are they who make complete separation, mere men of soul, Spirit, not possessing.
These are those causing divisions, worldly-minded, [the] Spirit not having.
20 But, ye, beloved! building yourselves up in your most holy faith, in Holy Spirit, praying,
you yourselves however, beloved, building up yourselves in the most holy of you faith in [the] Spirit Holy praying,
21 Yourselves, in God’s love, keep, —awaiting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto age-abiding life. (aiōnios g166)
yourselves in [the] love of God do keep, awaiting the mercy of the Lord of us Jesus Christ unto life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
22 And, on some, indeed, have mercy, —such as are in doubt, be saving, out of the fire, snatching them;
And those who indeed (do have mercy on *NK+O) (are doubting, *N+kO)
23 But, on others, have mercy with fear, hating even, the garment, spotted by the flesh.
others however do save from (the *k) fire snatching, (to others then do show mercy *NO) with fear, hating even the by the flesh stained clothing.
24 Now, unto him who is able—to guard you from stumbling, and to set you in the presence of his glory, without blemish, with exultation, —
To Him now being able to keep (you *NK+O) from stumbling and to present [you] in the presence of the glory of Him blameless with exultation —
25 Unto God alone our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, greatness, dominion, and authority, before all the [by-gone] age, and now, and unto all the [coming] ages. Amen! (aiōn g165)
to [the] only (wise *K) God Savior of us, (through Jesus Christ the Lord of us, *NO) [be] glory (and *k) majesty dominion and authority (before all the age *NO) and now and to all the ages, Amen. (aiōn g165)
