Joshua 22
1 Then, called Joshua—for the Reubenites, and for the Gadites, —and for the half tribe of Manasseh;
੧ਤਦ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਰਊਬੇਨੀਆਂ, ਗਾਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਗੋਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਿਆ।
2 and said unto them, Ye, have observed all that Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded you, —and have hearkened unto my voice, in all that I commanded you:
੨ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦਾਸ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਆਗਿਆਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਿਆਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
3 ye have not forsaken your brethren, these many days, unto this day, —but have kept the charge of the commandment of Yahweh your God.
੩ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
4 Now, therefore, that Yahweh your God hath given rest unto your brethren, according as he spake unto them, —now, therefore, turn ye and get you to your homes within the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of Yahweh gave unto you, over the Jordan.
੪ਹੁਣ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਚਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੁੜ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਲਖ਼ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦਾਸ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਯਰਦਨ ਦੇ ਪਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ ਜਾਓ।
5 Only, take ye diligent heed, to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded you—to love Yahweh your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, —and to serve him—with all your heart, and with all your soul.
੫ਕੇਵਲ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਹੁਕਮਨਾਮੇ ਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਨਾਲ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਕਰਿਓ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦਾਸ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੱਲੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣੇ ਰਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨ ਨਾਲ, ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰੋ।
6 So Joshua blessed them, —and sent them away, and they took their journey unto their homes.
੬ਤਦ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਕੀਤਾ, ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰ ਗਏ।
7 Now, unto the [one] half tribe of Manesseh, had Moses given a possession in Bashan, and, unto the [other] half, did Joshua give possession with their brethren, over the Jordan, westward, —moreover also, when Joshua sent them away unto their homes, he blessed them,
੭ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਗੋਤ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਬਾਸ਼ਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਖ਼ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਅੱਧ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਯਰਦਨ ਪਾਰ ਪੱਛਮ ਵੱਲ ਮਿਲਖ਼ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਜਦ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
8 and spake unto them, saying—With much wealth, return ye unto your homes, even with very much cattle, with silver and with gold, and with copper and with iron, and with very much raiment, —divide ye the spoil of your enemies with your brethren.
੮ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਵੱਡੇ ਧਨ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੇ ਚੌਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ, ਸੋਨੇ, ਪਿੱਤਲ, ਲੋਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਸਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਢੇਰ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਲੁੱਟ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੰਡ ਲਓ।
9 So the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh. returned and departed from the sons of Israel, from Shiloh, which was in the land of Canaan, —to go unto the land of Gilead, unto the land of their possession, wherein they had received their possessions, at the bidding of Yahweh by the hand of Moses.
੯ਰਊਬੇਨੀ, ਗਾਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦਾ ਅੱਧਾ ਗੋਤ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸ਼ੀਲੋਹ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੜ ਤੁਰਿਆ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਗੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
10 And, when they came into the circles of the Jordan, which were in the land of Canaan, —then did the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh build there an altar by the Jordan, an altar of large dimensions,
੧੦ਜਦ ਉਹ ਯਰਦਨ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਰਊਬੇਨੀਆਂ, ਗਾਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਗੋਤ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਯਰਦਨ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਵੇਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਲੱਗੇ।
11 And the sons of Israel heard say, —Lo! the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh have built an altar in front of the land of Canaan, in the circles of the Jordan, in the region opposite the sons of Israel.
੧੧ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਵੇਖੋ ਰਊਬੇਨੀਆਂ, ਗਾਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਗੋਤ ਨੇ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਯਰਦਨ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਵੱਲ ਬਣਾ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
12 And, when the sons of Israel heard, all the assembly of the sons of Israel gathered themselves together at Shiloh, to go up against them to war.
੧੨ਜਦ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਸ਼ੀਲੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਹੋਈ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰਨ।
13 And the sons of Israel sent unto the sons of Reuben and unto the sons of Gad and unto the half tribe of Manasseh, within the land of Gilead, —Phinehas, son of Eleazar the priest;
੧੩ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਰਊਬੇਨੀਆਂ, ਗਾਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਗੋਤ ਕੋਲ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਫ਼ੀਨਹਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜਿਆ।
14 and ten princes with him, one prince of an ancestral house for each of the tribes of Israel, —they being, severally heads of their ancestral houses, among the thousands of Israel.
੧੪ਦਸ ਪਰਧਾਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਕੁਲ ਗੋਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ-ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਸੀ।
15 So they came in unto the sons of Reuben and unto the sons of Gad and unto the half tribe of Manasseh, within the land of Gilead, —and spake with them, saying:
੧੫ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਰਊਬੇਨੀਆਂ, ਗਾਦੀਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਗੋਤ ਕੋਲ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ।
16 Thus, say all the assembly of Yahweh—What is this act of treachery which ye have committed against the God of Israel, that ye should turn back, to-day, from following Yahweh, —in that ye have builded you an altar, that ye might rebel, to-day, against Yahweh?
੧੬ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਇਉਂ ਆਖਦੀ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਕੀ ਬੇਈਮਾਨੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਚੱਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੜ ਗਏ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਬਣਾ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਆਕੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਓ?
17 Too little for us, was the iniquity of Peor, from which we have not cleansed ourselves, unto this day, —although the plague came upon the assembly of Yahweh;
੧੭ਕੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਪਓਰ ਦੀ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਛੋਟੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਅਜੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਵਾ ਪੈ ਗਈ ਸੀ?
18 but that, ye, must turn back to-day from following Yahweh, —though it must needs be that, if, ye, rebel to-day against Yahweh, then, to-morrow, with all the assembly of Israel, will he be wroth?
੧੮ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਚੱਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ? ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਮੁੜ ਜਾਓਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਕੱਲ ਉਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
19 Howbeit, if, unclean, be the land of your possession, do ye on your part come over into the land of the possession of Yahweh, where abideth the habitation of Yahweh, and take your possession in our midst, —but, against Yahweh, do not rebel, nor, against us, rebel, by building yourselves an altar apart from the altar of Yahweh our God.
੧੯ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਮਿਲਖ਼ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੰਘੋ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਡੇਰਾ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਖ਼ ਲੈ ਲਓ ਪਰ ਨਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹਟੋ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਸਾਥੋਂ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹਟੋ ਇਹ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਬਣਾ ਲਓ।
20 Did not, Achan son of Zerah, commit an act of treachery, with a devoted thing, and, upon all the assembly of Israel, came wrath, —so that not, he—one man alone, died in his iniquity.
੨੦ਕੀ ਜ਼ਰਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਕਾਨ ਨੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਈਮਾਨੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਆ ਪਿਆ? ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ!।
21 Then responded the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh, —and spake unto the heads of the thousands of Israel:
੨੧ਤਦ ਰਊਬੇਨੀਆਂ, ਗਾਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਗੋਤ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ।
22 El-Elohim-Yahweh, El-Elohim-Yahweh, he knoweth, and, Israel, he, shall know, —if in rebellion, or if in treachery, against Yahweh, do not save us this day:
੨੨ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਹਾਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਉਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਵੀ ਜਾਣੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਕਦੀ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹੱਟਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬੇਈਮਾਨੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਛੱਡੋ।
23 that we should build for ourselves an altar, to turn back from following Yahweh, —or, if that we might cause to go up thereon ascending-sacrifice or meal-offering, or if that we might offer thereon peace-offerings, let Yahweh himself require it;
੨੩ਕਿ ਜੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੋਵੇ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੜ ਜਾਈਏ ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਮੈਦੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਏ ਜਾਂ ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਦੇਈਏ ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹੀ ਲੇਖਾ ਲਵੇ।
24 if, indeed, we have not, rather, out of anxiety and of purpose, done this thing, saying, —. In time to come, your sons might speak to our sons, saying, What have ye to do with Yahweh, God of Israel;
੨੪ਜਦ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਸਮਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕੰਮ ਹੈ?
25 seeing that, a boundary, hath Yahweh put between us and you, ye sons of Reuben and ye sons of Gad—even the Jordan, ye have no portion in Yahweh, —so might your sons cause our sons, to cease from revering Yahweh.
੨੫ਹੇ ਰਊਬੇਨੀਓ ਅਤੇ ਗਾਦੀਓ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਰਦਨ ਹੱਦ ਠਹਿਰਾਈ ਹੈ ਸੋ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਭਾਗ ਨਹੀਂ। ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਮੰਨਣ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੱਕਰਾ ਦੇਣ।
26 We said, therefore, Let us prepare, we pray you, to build us an altar, —not for ascending-offering, nor for sacrifice;
੨੬ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਬਣਾਈਏ, ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਨਾ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
27 but that, a witness, it may be between us and you, and between our generations after us, that we are to do the service of Yahweh, before him, with our ascending-offerings and with our sacrifices, and with our peace-offerings, —that your sons may not say, in time to come, to our sons, Ye have no portion in Yahweh.
੨੭ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਏ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਸਮਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਆਖਣ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਭਾਗ ਨਹੀਂ।
28 Therefore said we, And it shall be, when they [so] say to us, or to our generations, in time to come, —that we will say—Behold ye the pattern of the altar of Yahweh, which our fathers made, not for ascending-offerings nor for sacrifice, but that, a witness, it might be between us and you.
੨੮ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਜਾਂ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਉਂ ਆਖਣਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਖਾਂਗੇ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦਾ ਨਮੂਨਾ ਵੇਖੋ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਲਈ ਨਾ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਈ ਸੀ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਹੈ।
29 Far be it from us—that we should rebel against Yahweh, or turn back, to-day, from following Yahweh, by building an altar, for ascending-offering, or meal-offering or for sacrifice, —other than the altar of Yahweh our God, which is before his habitation.
੨੯ਇਹ ਸਾਥੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋਵੇ ਜੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਆਕੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਚੱਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੜ ਜਾਈਏ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਦੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਬਣਾ ਲਈਏ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੈ।
30 And, when Phinehas the priest, and the princes of the assembly, even the heads of the thousands of Israel who were with him, heard the words which the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad and the sons of Manasseh spake, then was it well-pleasing in their eyes.
੩੦ਜਦ ਫ਼ੀਨਹਾਸ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਨ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਰਊਬੇਨੀਆਂ, ਗਾਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਾ
31 And Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest said unto the sons of Reuben and unto the sons of Gad and unto the sons of Manasseh—To-day, we know that, in our midst, is Yahweh, in that ye have not committed, against Yahweh, this act of treachery, —now, have ye rescued the sons of Israel out of the hand of Yahweh.
੩੧ਅਤੇ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਫ਼ੀਨਹਾਸ ਨੇ ਰਊਬੇਨੀਆਂ, ਗਾਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਬੇਈਮਾਨੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਹੁਣ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਛੁਡਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
32 So Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest and the princes returned from the sons of Reuben and from the sons of Gad, out of the land of Gilead, unto the land of Canaan, unto the sons of Israel, —and brought them back word.
੩੨ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਫ਼ੀਨਹਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਰਊਬੇਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਾਦੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਮੁੜ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ
33 And the thing was well-pleasing in the eyes of the sons of Israel, and the sons of Israel blessed God, —and spake not of going up against them, to war, to lay waste the land, wherein the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad dwelt.
੩੩ਤਦ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਲੱਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਆਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਲਈ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਰਊਬੇਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਗਾਦੀ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਸਨ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ
34 So the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad named the altar [a Witness]: A witness, it is between us, That, Yahweh, is God.
੩੪ਤਦ ਰਊਬੇਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਾਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਨੂੰ “ਗਵਾਹੀ” ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ।
