Joshua 20
1 And Yahweh spake unto Joshua, saying:
Ug si Jehova misulti kang Josue, nga nagaingon:
2 Speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, —Set out for you the cities of refuge, whereof I spake unto you, by the hand of Moses:
Sultihan mo ang mga anak sa Israel, sa pag-ingon: Magpili kamo sa mga ciudad nga dalangpanan, sumala sa akong gipamulong kaninyo pinaagi kang Moises,
3 that the manslayer who slayeth a person by mistake, unwittingly, may flee thither, —so shall they be unto you for refuge from the blood-redeemer,
Nga ang mamumuno nga makabuno kang bisan kinsang tawo, tungod sa kasayup ug dili tinuyo, makahimo sa pagdangup didto: ug kini mao ang inyong dalangpanan gikan sa magpapanimalus sa dugo.
4 and he shall flee unto one of these cities and present himself at the entrance of the gate of the city, and shall speak, in the ears of the elders of that city, his defence, —and they shall take him for protection into the city unto them, and shall give him a place, so shall he dwell with them.
Ug mokalagiw siya ngadto sa usa nianang mga ciudara, ug motindog sa ganghaan sa ciudad, ug sa mga igdulungog sa mga anciano nianang ciudara siya magapahayag sa iyang katarungan; ug ilang pagadad-on siya ngadto sa ciudad diha kanila, ug hatagan siya ug dapit nga iyang kapuy-an ipon kanila.
5 And, when the blood-redeemer pursueth after him, then shall they not deliver up the manslayer, into his hand, —because, unwittingly, it was that he slew his neighbour, and had not been, cherishing hatred, towards him, aforetime;
Ug kong ang magpapanimalus sa dugo magapangita kaniya, nan dili gayud nila ihatag ang nakabuno ngadto sa iyang kamot; tungod kay iyang gipatay ang iyang igsoon sa dili tinuyo ug wala man magdumot kaniya sa unang panahon.
6 so shall he remain in that city, until he standeth before the assembly, for judgment, until the death of the high-priest who shall be in those days, —then, shall the manslayer return, and enter into his own city, and into his own house, within the city from whence he fled.
Ug siya magapuyo nianang ciudara hangtud nga motindog siya sa atubangan sa katilingban aron pagahukman hangtud sa kamatayon sa labawng sacerdote niadtong mga adlawa; unya ang mamumuno mopauli ug moadto sa iyang kaugalingong ciudad ug sa iyang kaugalingong balay, ug ngadto sa ciudad diin siya makakalagiw.
7 So then they set apart Kadesh in Galilee, in the hill country of Naphtali, and Shechem, in the hill country of Ephraim, and Kiriath-arba, the same, is Hebron, in the hill country of Judah.
Ug ilang gipili ang Cades, sa Galilea, sa kabungtoran sa Nephtali, ug ang Sechem, sa kabungtoran sa Ephraim, ug ang Chiriath-arba (nga mao ang Hebron), sa kabungtoran sa Juda.
8 And, beyond the Jordan, by Jericho eastward, they appointed Bezer in the wilderness, in the table-land, out of the tribe of Reuben, —and Ramoth in Gilead, out of the tribe of Gad, and Golan in Bashan, out of the tribe of Manasseh.
Ug sa unahan sa Jordan sa Jerico paingon ngadto sa silangan, ilang gipili ang Beser nga anaa sa kamingawan sa patag sa banay ni Ruben, ug ang Ramoth sakup sa Galaad sa banay ni Gad, ug ang Golan sa Basan sa banay ni Manases.
9 These, were the cities appointed for all the sons of Israel, and for the sojourner who sojourneth in their midst, that whosoever should slay a person by mistake, might flee thither, —and not die by the hand of the blood-redeemer, until he should stand before the assembly.
Kini mao ang mga piniling ciudad alang sa tanang mga anak sa Israel ug alang sa mga dumuloong nga mopuyo ipon kanila, nga bisan kinsa ang makapatay sa bisan kinsang tawo sa dili-tinuyo, makadangup didto, ug dili mamatay sa kamot sa magpapanimalus sa dugo hangtud nga makatindog siya sa atubangan sa katilingban.
