< John 7 >

1 And, after these things, Jesus was walking in Galilee; for he was not wishing, in Judaea, to be walking, because the Jews were seeking to slay him.
And after these things was walking Jesus in Galilee; not for He was desiring in Judea to walk, because were seeking Him the Jews to kill.
2 But the feast of the Jews was near, that of the pitching of tents.
Was now near the feast of the Jews of Booths.
3 His brethren, therefore, said unto him—Remove hence, and withdraw into Judaea, that, thy disciples also, may view thy works which thou art doing.
Said therefore to Him the brothers of Him; do depart from here and do go into Judea so that also the disciples of You (will see *N+kO) of You the works that You are doing;
4 For, no one, anything in secret, doeth, and yet is seeking, himself, to be well-known. If, these things, thou art doing, manifest thyself unto the world.
No [one] for anything in secret does and seeks himself in public to be; If these things You do, do show Yourself to the world.
5 For, not even his brethren, were believing on him.
Not even for the brothers of Him were believing in Him.
6 Jesus, therefore, saith unto them—My season, not yet, is here; but, your season, at anytime, is ready:
Says therefore to them Jesus; The time for Me not yet is come, but the time of you always is ready.
7 The world cannot hate you; but, me, it hateth, because, I, bear witness concerning it, that, the works thereof, are, wicked.
Not is able the world to hate you, Me myself however it hates, because I myself bear witness concerning it that the works of it evil are.
8 Ye, go up unto the feast: I, not yet, am coming up unto this feast, because, my season, not yet, hath fully come.
You yourselves do go up to feast (this; *k) I myself (not *N+kO) am going up to feast this, for My time not yet has been fulfilled.
9 And, these things, having said unto them, he was still abiding in Galilee.
These things now having said (He himself *N+KO) He remained in Galilee.
10 But, when his brethren had gone up unto the feast, then, he also, went up, —not openly, but as it were in secret.
When however had gone up the brothers of Him to the feast, then also He himself went up not openly but as in secret.
11 The Jews, therefore, were seeking him in the feast, and were saying—Where is that one?
The therefore Jews were seeking Him at the feast and were saying; Where is He?
12 and there was great, murmuring, about him among the multitudes: some, indeed, were saying—Good, is he! [but], others, were saying—Not so! but he is leading the multitude astray.
And murmuring about Him there was much among the crowds. Some indeed were saying that Good He is, Others however were saying; No, but He deceives the people.
13 No one, nevertheless, was speaking, openly, about him, because of their fear of the Jews.
No [one] however publicly was speaking about Him because of the fear of the Jews.
14 Presently, however, the feast being at its height, Jesus went up unto the temple and was teaching.
Now also of the feast being in the middle went up Jesus into the temple and was teaching.
15 The Jews, therefore, began to marvel, saying—How, doth this one know, letters, not having learned?
(and *k) Were marveling (then *NO) the Jews saying; How this one writings knows not having studied?
16 Jesus, therefore, answered them, and said—My teaching, is not mine, but his who sent me.
Answered (therefore *NO) them Jesus and said: My teaching not is of Myself but of the [One who] having sent Me;
17 If any one intend, his will, to do, he shall get to know concerning the teaching—whether it is, of God, or, I, from myself, am speaking,
If anyone shall desire the will of Him to do, he will know concerning the teaching whether from God it is or I myself from Myself speak.
18 He that, from himself, doth speak, his own glory, is seeking: he that seeketh the glory of him that sent him, the same, is, true, and, injustice, in him, is there none.
The [one] from himself speaking the glory [their] own seeks; the [One] however seeking the glory of the [One who] having sent Him, He true is, and unrighteousness in Him not is.
19 Did not, Moses, give you the law? And yet, not one of you, doeth the law!—Why, seek ye, to slay, me?
Not Moses (has given *NK+o) to you the law? and no [one] of you keeps the law! Why Me do you seek to kill?
20 The multitude answered—A demon, thou hast: Who, is seeking, to slay, thee?
Answered the crowd (and said: *k) A demon You have; who You seeks to kill?
21 Jesus answered, and said unto them—One work, I did, and ye, all, are marvelling:
Answered Jesus and said to them; One work I did, and all you marvel.
22 For this cause, Moses, hath given you, circumcision, —not that, of Moses, it is, but of the fathers; —and, on Sabbath, ye circumcise a man.
Because of this: Moses has given you circumcision — not that of Moses it is but of the fathers — also on Sabbath you circumcise a man.
23 If, circumcision, a man receiveth, on Sabbath, that the law of Moses may not be broken, with me, are ye bitter as gall, because, a whole man, I made, well, on Sabbath?
If circumcision receives a man on Sabbath so that not shall be broken the law of Moses, with Me myself are you angry because entirely a man sound I made on [the] Sabbath?
24 Be not judging according to appearance, but, just judgment, be judging,
Not do judge according to appearance, but the righteous judgment (do judge. *N+kO)
25 So then, some of them of Jerusalem were saying—Is not, this, he whom they are seeking to kill?
Were saying therefore some of those of Jerusalem; Not this is he whom they seek to kill?
26 And yet, see! with freedom of speech, he is talking, and, nothing, unto him, do they say: —Have the rulers perhaps come to know, of a truth, that, this, is, the Christ?
And behold publicly He speaks, and no [thing] to Him they say. otherwise otherwise Truly have recognized the rulers that this is (truly *K) the Christ?
27 But, as for this one, we know whence he is; The Christ, however, whensoever he shall come, no one, getteth to know whence he is.
But this [man] we know from where He is; The however Christ whenever He may come, no [one] knows from where He is.
28 Jesus, therefore, cried aloud in the temple, teaching, and saying—Both me, ye know, and ye know whence I am, —and yet, of myself, have I not come, but he is real, who sent me, whom, ye, know not.
Cried out therefore in the temple teaching Jesus and saying; Me Me you know and you know from where I am; and of Myself not I have come, but is true the [One] having sent Me whom you yourselves not know;
29 I, know him, because, from him, I am, and, he, sent me forth.
I myself (now *k) know Him, because from Him I am, and He and He Me sent.
30 They were seeking therefore to seize him; and yet no one laid on him his hand, because, not yet, had come his hour.
They were seeking therefore Him to take, but no [one] laid upon Him the hand, because not yet had come the hour of Him.
31 But, from amongst the multitude, many, believed on him, and were saying—The Christ, whensoever he cometh, greater signs, will he do, than those which, this one, did?
Out of the crowd now many believed in Him and were saying (that: *k) The Christ When He may come, (Surely not *N+kO) more signs (than these things *k) will He do than this [man] has done?
32 The Pharisees hearkened unto the multitude murmuring concerning him these things; and the High-priests and the Pharisees sent forth officers, that they might seize him.
Heard the Pharisees the crowd murmuring about Him these things, and sent the chief priests and the Pharisees officers that they may seize Him.
33 Jesus, therefore, said—Yet a little time, I am, with you, and withdraw unto him that sent me:
Said therefore (to them *k) Jesus; Yet time a little with you I am and I go to the [One] having sent Me.
34 Ye shall seek me, and not find me, and, where, I, am, ye, cannot come.
You will seek Me and not will find Me, and where am I myself you yourselves not are able to come.
35 The Jews, therefore, said unto themselves—Whither, is, this one, about to go, that we shall not find him? Unto the dispersion of the Greeks, is he about to go, and teach the Greeks?
Said therefore the Jews among themselves; Where He is about to go that we ourselves not will find Him? Surely to the Dispersion among the Greeks is He about to go and to teach the Greeks?
36 What, is this which he said: Ye shall seek me and not find me, and, where, I, am, ye, cannot come?
What is word this that He said; You will seek Me and not will find (Me, *NK) and Where am I myself you yourselves not are able to come?
37 Now, on the last—the great—day of the feast, Jesus was standing, and he cried aloud, saying—If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink:
In now the last day the great [day] of the feast had stood Jesus and cried out saying; If anyone shall thirst, he should come to Me and should drink.
38 He that believeth on me—just as said the Scripture, —River, from within him, shall flow, of living water.
The [one] believing in Me myself, even as has said the Scripture: Rivers out of the belly of him will flow of water living.
39 Now, this, spake he concerning the Spirit which they who believed on him were about to receive; for, not yet, was there Spirit, because, Jesus, not yet, was glorified!
This now He said concerning the Spirit (which *N+kO) were about to receive those (having believed *N+kO) in Him; not yet for was [the] Spirit (Holy *KO) (given *O) because Jesus (not yet *N+kO) was glorified.
40 Some from amongst the multitude, therefore, having hearkened unto these words, were saying—This, is, in truth, the prophet.
(many *K) from the crowd therefore having heard (the *N+kO) (words *N+KO) these were saying (that: *o) This is truly the Prophet.
41 Others, were saying—This, is, the Christ. But, others, were saying—Out of Galilee, is, the Christ, to come?
Others were saying; This is the Christ; (Those *N+kO) however were saying; Surely not for out of Galilee the Christ comes?
42 Hath not the Scripture said: Of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was, cometh the Christ?
(Surely *N+kO) the Scripture has said that out of the seed of David and from Bethlehem the village where was David comes the Christ
43 A division, therefore, arose in the multitude, because of him.
A division therefore occurred in the crowd because of Him.
44 Certain, indeed, from among them, were wishing to seize him; but, no one, thrust upon him his hands.
Some now were desiring of them to seize Him, but no [one] (laid *NK+o) on Him the hands.
45 So then the officers came unto the High-priests and Pharisees, and, they, said unto them—For what cause, have ye not brought him?
Came therefore the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees, and said to them that; Because of why not did you bring Him?
46 The officers answered—Never, man spake thus!
Answered the officers; Never spoke like this a man (as *ko) (this *KO) (man. *KO)
47 The Pharisees, therefore, answered them—Surely, ye also, have not been led astray?
Answered therefore them the Pharisees; Surely not also you yourselves have been deceived?
48 Surely, none of the rulers, hath believed in him, nor of the Pharisees?
Surely not any of the rulers has believed on Him or of the Pharisees?
49 But, this multitude, that take no note of the law, are, laid under a curse.
But crowd this not knowing the law (cursed *N+kO) are.
50 Nicodemus saith unto them—he that came unto him formerly, being, one, from among them—
Says Nicodemus to them, the [one] having come (at night *K) to Him (the *N) (former *NO) one being of them;
51 Surely, our law, doth not judge the man, unless it hear first from him, and get to know what he is doing?
Surely not the law of us does judge the man only unless it shall hear (first *N+kO) from him and may know what he does?
52 They answered and said unto him—Surely, thou also, art not, of Galilee? Search and see! That, out of Galilee, a prophet is not to arise.
They answered and they said to him; Surely not also you yourself from Galilee are? do search and do see that out of Galilee a prophet not (is raised. *N+kO)
53 And they went, each unto his own house;
(And *KO) (he went *K+o) (each to the home of him, *KO)
