John 21
1 After these things, Jesus manifested himself again, unto the disciples, by the sea of Tiberias; and manifested himself, thus: —
இதற்குப் பின்பு இயேசு மீண்டும் தமது சீடர்களுக்கு கலிலேயா கடல் அருகே காட்சியளித்தார். அது இவ்வாறு நடந்தது:
2 There were together, Simon Peter, and Thomas, who was called Didymus, and Nathanael, who was from Cana of Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and, two other, of his disciples.
சீமோன் பேதுருவும், திதிமு என்று அழைக்கப்பட்ட தோமாவும், கலிலேயாவிலுள்ள கானா ஊரைச்சேர்ந்த நாத்தான்யேலும், செபெதேயுவின் மகன்களும், வேறு இரண்டு சீடர்களும் கூடியிருந்தார்கள்.
3 Simon Peter saith unto them—I go a fishing! They say unto him—We also, go with thee! They went out, and got up into the boat, and during that night, they caught nothing.
சீமோன் பேதுரு அவர்களிடம், “நான் மீன் பிடிக்கப் போகிறேன்” என்றான். மற்றவர்களும், “நாங்களும் உன்னுடன் வருகிறோம்” என்றார்கள். எனவே அவர்கள் புறப்பட்டு ஒரு படகில் ஏறிச்சென்றார்கள். ஆனால் அந்த முழு இரவும், அவர்கள் மீன்கள் எதையுமே பிடிக்கவில்லை.
4 But, morning by this time drawing on, Jesus stood upon the beach; nevertheless, the disciples knew not that it was, Jesus.
அதிகாலையிலே இயேசு கடற்கரையிலே நின்றார். ஆனால் சீடரோ, அவர் இயேசுவே என்று அறிந்துகொள்ளவில்லை.
5 Jesus, therefore, saith unto them—Children! perhaps ye have nothing to eat? They answered him—No.
இயேசு அவர்களைக் கூப்பிட்டு, “பிள்ளைகளே, உங்களுக்கு மீன் கிடைக்கவில்லையா?” என்று கேட்டார். அவர்கள், “இல்லை” என்றார்கள்.
6 And, he, said unto them—Cast the net, on the right side of the boat, —and ye shall find. They cast, therefore; and, no longer, were they able, to draw, it, for the multitude of the fishes.
“வலையைப் படகின் வலது புறமாக வீசுங்கள். அப்பொழுது உங்களுக்கு மீன்கள் அகப்படும்” என்றார். அவர்கள் அப்படி செய்தபோது, பெருந்திரளான மீன்கள் அகப்பட்டன. அதனால் அந்த வலையை அவர்களால் இழுத்தெடுக்க முடியவில்லை.
7 That disciple, therefore, whom Jesus loved, saith unto Peter—It is, the Lord! Simon Peter, therefore, hearing that it was the Lord, girded about him, his upper garment, —for he was naked; and cast himself into the sea;
அப்பொழுது இயேசுவுக்கு அன்பான சீடன், “அவர் கர்த்தர்” என்று பேதுருவிடம் கூறினான். அவர் கர்த்தர் என்று அவன் சொன்னதைச் சீமோன் பேதுரு கேட்டவுடனே, அவன், தான் மேலுடைகளின்றி நின்றதினால் இடையில் ஒரு துணியைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டு கடலுக்குள் குதித்தான்.
8 but, the other disciples, came, by the little boat, —for they were not farther from the land than about two hundred cubits off, —dragging the net of fishes.
மற்றச் சீடரோ மீன்கள் நிறைந்த வலையை இழுத்துக்கொண்டு படகிலே வந்தார்கள். ஏனெனில் அவர்கள் கரையிலிருந்து அதிக தூரத்தில் இருக்கவில்லை. அவர்கள் ஏறக்குறைய தொண்ணூறு மீட்டர் தூரத்திலேயே இருந்தார்கள்.
9 So, when they got out upon the land, they behold a coal fire lying, and fish lying over, and bread.
அவர்கள் கரைக்கு வந்தபோது, அங்கே எரிகின்ற நெருப்புத்தழலின்மேல் மீன் வைக்கப்பட்டிருப்பதையும், சில அப்பங்கள் இருப்பதையும் கண்டார்கள்.
10 Jesus saith unto them—Bring of the fish which ye caught just now.
இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “நீங்கள் பிடித்த மீன்களிலும் சிலவற்றைக் கொண்டுவாருங்கள்” என்றார்.
11 Simon Peter, therefore, went on board, and drew the net on to the land, —full of large fishes, a hundred and fifty-three; and, though they were so many, the net was not rent.
சீமோன் பேதுரு படகில் ஏறி வலையைக் கரைக்கு இழுத்துக்கொண்டுவந்தான். வலை 153 பெரிய மீன்களால் நிறைந்திருந்தது. அவ்வளவு மீன்கள் இருந்துங்கூட வலை கிழியவில்லை.
12 Jesus saith unto them—Come! break your fast. Not one, of the disciples was venturing to ask him, Who art, thou? knowing that it was, the Lord.
இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “வந்து சாப்பிடுங்கள்” என்றார். அவருடைய சீடர்களில் ஒருவரும், “நீர் யார்?” என்று கேட்கத் துணியவில்லை. அவர் கர்த்தர் என்று அவர்கள் அறிந்திருந்தார்கள்.
13 Jesus cometh, and taketh the bread, and giveth unto them; and the fish, in like manner.
இயேசு வந்து அப்பத்தை எடுத்து அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார். மீனையும் அப்படியே கொடுத்தார்.
14 This, already, is the third time Jesus was manifested unto the disciples, after he was raised from among the dead.
இயேசு மரித்தோரிலிருந்து உயிருடன் எழுந்தபின்பு தமது சீடர்களுக்குக் காட்சியளித்தது இது மூன்றாவது முறையாகும்.
15 When, therefore, they had broken their fast, Jesus saith unto Simon Peter—Simon, son of John! lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him—Yea, Lord! thou, knowest that I am fond of thee, he saith unto him—Be feeding my lambs.
அவர்கள் சாப்பிட்டு முடித்தபின்பு, இயேசு சீமோன் பேதுருவிடம், “யோவானின் மகனான சீமோனே, இவர்களைவிட நீ என்னில் அதிக அன்பாயிருக்கிறாயா?” என்று கேட்டார். அதற்கு அவன், “ஆம் ஆண்டவரே, நான் உம்மை நேசிக்கிறேன் என்பது உமக்குத் தெரியும்” என்றான். அப்பொழுது இயேசு, “என் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளைப் பராமரிப்பாயாக” என்றார்.
16 He saith unto him, again, the second time—Simon, son of John! lovest thou me? He saith unto him—Yea, Lord! thou, knowest that I am fond of thee. He saith unto him—Be shepherding my sheep.
இயேசு இரண்டாவது முறை அவனிடம், “யோவானின் மகனான சீமோனே, நீ என்னில் அன்பு கூறுகிறாயா?” என்று கேட்டார். அதற்கு அவன், “ஆம் ஆண்டவரே, நான் உம்மை நேசிக்கிறேன் என்று உமக்குத் தெரியும்” என்றான். அப்பொழுது இயேசு, “என் ஆடுகளை மேய்ப்பாயாக” என்றார்.
17 He saith unto him, the third time—Simon, son of John! art thou fond of me? Peter was grieved, that he said unto him, the third time, Art thou fond of me? and he said unto him—Lord! all things, thou, knowest: thou perceivest that I am fond of thee. Jesus saith unto him—Be feeding my sheep.
மூன்றாவது முறை அவர் அவனிடம், “யோவானின் மகனான சீமோனே, நீ என்னை நேசிக்கிறாயா?” என்று கேட்டார். மூன்றாவது முறை, “நீ என்னை நேசிக்கிறாயா?” என்று இயேசு கேட்டதனால் பேதுரு துக்கமடைந்து, அவன் அவரிடம், “ஆண்டவரே, நீர் எல்லாவற்றையும் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்; நான் உம்மை நேசிக்கிறேன் என்பதையும் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்” என்றான். இயேசு அவனிடம், “என் ஆடுகளைப் பராமரிப்பாயாக என்றார்.
18 Verily, verily, I say unto thee—When thou wast younger, thou usedst to gird thyself, and to walk whither thou didst choose; but, when thou shalt become aged, thou shalt stretch out thy hands, and, another, shall gird thee, and bear thee, whither thou dost not choose.
மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே நான் உனக்குச் சொல்கிறேன், நீ இளைஞனாய் இருந்தபோது, நீயே உடை உடுத்திக்கொண்டு நீ விரும்பிய இடத்திற்குப் போனாய்; ஆனால் நீ முதிர்வயதாகும்போது நீ உன் கைகளை நீட்டுவாய், வேறொருவன் உனக்கு உடை உடுத்தி, நீ போகவிரும்பாத இடத்திற்கு உன்னை வழிநடத்திக் கொண்டுபோவான்” என்றார்.
19 Now, this, he said, signifying, by what manner of death, he should glorify God. And, having said this, he saith unto him—Be following me.
பேதுரு எவ்விதமான மரணத்தை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு இறைவனை மகிமைப்படுத்தப் போகிறான் என்பதைக் காட்டும்படியாகவே இயேசு இதைச் சொன்னார். பின்பு அவர் அவனிடம், “என்னைப் பின்பற்று” என்றார்.
20 Peter, turning about, beholdeth the disciple whom Jesus loved, following, —who also reclined during the supper upon his breast, and said—Lord, who is it that is delivering thee up?
பேதுரு திரும்பிப்பார்த்து, இயேசு அன்பு செலுத்திய சீடன் பின்னாலே வருவதைக் கண்டான். இந்தச் சீடனே இரவு விருந்தின்போது இயேசுவின் மார்பிலே சாய்ந்துகொண்டு, “ஆண்டவரே உம்மைக் காட்டிக்கொடுக்கப் போகிறவன் யார்?” என்று கேட்டவன்.
21 Peter, therefore, seeing, this one, saith unto Jesus—Lord! and, this one, what?
பேதுரு இவனைக் கண்டபோது, “ஆண்டவரே இவனைக் குறித்து என்ன சொல்கிறீர்?” என்று கேட்டான்.
22 Jesus saith unto him—If I will that, he, remain until I come, what is that to thee? Thou, be following me.
அதற்கு இயேசு, “நான் திரும்பி வரும்வரைக்கும் அவன் உயிரோடு இருக்கும்படி நான் விரும்பினால் அதுபற்றி உனக்கென்ன? நீ என்னைப் பின்பற்றவேண்டும்” என்றார்.
23 This word, therefore, went forth unto the brethren, that, that disciple, should not die. Howbeit, Jesus did not tell him, he should not die; but, If I will that, he, remain until I come, what is that to thee?
இதனால் இந்தச் சீடன் சாகமாட்டான் என்கிற பேச்சு சீடருக்குள்ளே இருந்தது. ஆனால் இயேசுவோ அவன் சாகமாட்டான் என்று சொல்லவில்லை; “நான் திரும்பி வரும்வரை இவன் உயிரோடிருப்பதை நான் விரும்பினால் அதுபற்றி உனக்கு என்ன?” என்று சொன்னார்.
24 This, is the disciple who beareth witness concerning these things, and who hath written these things; and we know that, true, is, his witness.
அந்தச் சீடனே இவற்றைக்குறித்து சாட்சி கொடுத்து இவற்றை எழுதியவன். அவனுடைய சாட்சி உண்மையானது.
25 Now there are many other things also, which Jesus did, which, indeed, if they were to be written one by one, not even the world, itself, I suppose, would contain, the books which must be written.
இயேசு வேறு பல காரியங்களையும் செய்தார். அவைகளை ஒவ்வொன்றாக எழுதினால், எழுதப்படும் புத்தகங்களை வைப்பதற்கு இந்த முழு உலகமும் போதாமல் இருக்கும் என்று நான் எண்ணுகிறேன்.
