John 14
1 Let not your heart be troubled: Believe on God, and, on me, believe.
੧ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਦਿਲ ਨਾ ਘਬਰਾਵੇ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੀ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰੋ।
2 In the house of my Father, are, many dwellings; or else I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you.
੨ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਹਨ। ਜੇਕਰ ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਨਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ।
3 And, if I go, and prepare a place for you, again, am I coming, and will take you home unto—myself, that, where, I, am, ye also, may be.
੩ਉੱਥੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਮੈਂ ਫੇਰ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਵਾਂਗਾ।
4 And, whither, I, go, ye know, the way.
੪ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਰਾਹ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ।”
5 Thomas saith unto him—Lord! we know not whither thou goest: How know we, the way?
੫ਥੋਮਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਫਿਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਰਾਹ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਜਾਣ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ?”
6 Jesus saith unto him—I, am the way, and the truth, and the life: No one, cometh unto the Father, but through me.
੬ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਰਾਹ, ਸੱਚਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਹਾਂ। ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੋਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਆ ਸਕਦਾ।
7 If ye had been getting to know me, my Father also, had ye known: from henceforth, are ye getting to know him, and have seen him.
੭ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।”
8 Philip saith unto him—Lord! show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
੮ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ! ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਕਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਇਹੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੈ।”
9 Jesus saith unto him—So long a time as this, have I been, with you, —and thou hast not come to know me, Philip? He that hath seen me, hath seen the Father. How art, thou, saying, Show us the Father?
੯ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਮੈਂ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਵੀ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ? ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ। ਫਿਰ ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ, ‘ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਕਰਾ?’
10 Believest thou not, that, I, am in the Father, and, the Father, is, in me? The things which I am saying unto you, from myself, I speak not; but, the Father, within me abiding, doeth his works.
੧੦ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਕਿ ਪਿਤਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਿਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ? ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
11 Believe me, That, I, am in the Father, and, the Father, in me; —or else, on account of the works themselves, believe ye.
੧੧ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਪਿਤਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਿਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਂ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰੋ।
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you—He that believeth on me, the works which, I, am doing, he also, shall do; and, greater than these, shall he do, because, I, unto the Father, am going, —
੧੨ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ-ਸੱਚ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਹ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਮਹਾਨ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੋਲ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ।
13 And because, whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, the same, will I do, that, the Father, may be glorified, in the Son:
੧੩ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਮੰਗੋਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਫਿਰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
14 If anything ye shall ask [me] in my name, the same, will I do.
੧੪ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਮੰਗੋਗੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।”
15 If ye be loving me, my commandments, ye will keep;
੧੫“ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਕਰੋਗੇ।
16 And, I, will request the Father, and, Another Advocate, will he give unto you, that he may be with you age-abidingly, (aiōn g165)
੧੬ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਮੰਗਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਦੂਸਰਾ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। (aiōn g165)
17 The Spirit of truth, —which, the world, cannot receive, because it beholdeth it not, nor getteth to know it. But, ye, are getting to know it; because, with you, it abideth, and, in you, it is.
੧੭ਇਹ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਸੱਚ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
18 I will not leave you bereft, —I am coming unto you.
੧੮ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਨਾਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ।
19 Yet a little, and, the world, no longer beholdeth me; but, ye, behold me, —Because, I, live, ye also, shall live.
੧੯ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਣਗੇ ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੇਖੋਗੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਜਿਵਾਲੇ ਜਾਉਂਗੇ।
20 In that day, shall ye get to know, That, I, am in my Father, and, ye, in me, and, I, in you.
੨੦ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਸਕੋਗੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਪਿਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਜਾਓਗੇ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਂ।
21 He that hath my commandments and keepeth them, he, it is that loveth me; and, he that loveth me, shall be loved by my Father, and, I, will love him, and will manifest, myself, unto him.
੨੧ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ, ਮੇਰੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸੱਚੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ, ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ-ਆਪ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ?”
22 Judas, not the Iscariot, saith unto him—Lord! what hath happened, that, unto us, thou art about to manifest thyself, and, not unto the world?
੨੨ਤਦ ਯਹੂਦਾ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ (ਇਹ ਯਹੂਦਾ ਇਸਕਰਿਯੋਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ), “ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਸਾਡੇ ਤੇ ਪਰਗਟ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਪਰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ?”
23 Jesus answered, and said unto him—If any man be loving me, my word, he will keep, and, my Father, will love him, —and, unto him, will we come, and, an abode with him, will we make.
੨੩ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਚਨ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਪਾਲਣ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਵਾਂਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਰਹਾਂਗੇ।
24 He that loveth me not, doth not keep, my word; —and, the word which ye hear, is not mine, but, the Father’s who sent me.
੨੪ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਚਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦਾ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬਚਨ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ।”
25 These things, have I spoken unto you, With you abiding;
੨੫“ਇਹ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਦੋਂ ਦੱਸ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ।
26 But, the Advocate, The Holy Spirit, which the Father will send in my name, He, will teach you all things, and will put you in mind, of all things which, I, told you.
੨੬ਪਰ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਤਾ, ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਸਿਖਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ।”
27 Peace, I leave with you, My own peace, give, I, unto you, —Not as, the world, giveth, give, I, unto you: —Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
੨੭“ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਸੱਲੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਿਲ ਨਾ ਡਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਘਬਰਾਏ।”
28 Ye heard that, I, said unto you—I go my way, and I come unto you, —Had ye loved me, ye would have rejoiced, that I am going unto the Father, for, the Father, is, greater than I.
੨੮ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਫਿਰ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ।” ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੋਲ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ।
29 But, now, have I told you, before it cometh to pass, that, whensoever it shall come to pass, ye may believe.
੨੯ਇਹ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਹ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰੋ।
30 No longer, many things, will I speak with you; for, the world’s ruler, is coming, and, in me, hath, nothing, —
੩੦“ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੋਲਾਂਗਾ। ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਹਾਕਮ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
31 But, that the world may get to know that I love the Father, and just as the Father hath given me commandment, so, I do. Be rousing yourselves! let us be leading on from hence.
੩੧ਪਰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਲੂਮ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉੱਠੋ, ਅਸੀਂ ਹੁਣ ਇਥੋਂ ਚੱਲੀਏ।”
