Joel 3
1 For lo! in those days, and at that time, —when I shall bring back the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
Διότι, ιδού, εν ταις ημέραις εκείναις και εν τω καιρώ εκείνω, όταν επιστρέψω τους αιχμαλώτους του Ιούδα και της Ιερουσαλήμ,
2 Then will I gather all the nations, and bring them down into the Vale of Jehoshaphat, —and will enter into judgment with them there, concerning my people, and mine inheritance Israel, whom they scattered among the nations, and, my land, they apportioned;
θέλω συνάξει έτι πάντα τα έθνη και θέλω καταβιβάσει αυτά εις την κοιλάδα του Ιωσαφάτ, και θέλω κριθή μετ' αυτών εκεί υπέρ του λαού μου και της κληρονομίας μου Ισραήλ, τον οποίον διέσπειραν μεταξύ των εθνών και διεμοιράσθησαν την γην μου·
3 And, for my people, they cast lots, —and gave a boy for a harlot, and a girl sold they for wine—and drank.
και έρριψαν κλήρους διά τον λαόν μου· και έδωκαν παιδίον διά πόρνην και επώλουν κοράσιον διά οίνον και έπινον.
4 Moreover also, what have, ye, to do with me, O Tyre and Zidon, and all the circuit of Palestine? A recompense, are ye paying back unto me? But, though ye should make a recompense unto me, swiftly, speedily, would I return your recompense upon your own head.
Και έτι τι έχετε σεις να κάμητε μετ' εμού, Τύρε και Σιδών και πάντα τα όρια της Παλαιστίνης; θέλετε μοι ανταποδώσει ανταπόδομα; εάν σεις ανταποδώσητε εις εμέ, χωρίς αργοπορίας ταχέως θέλω επιστρέψει το ανταπόδομά σας επί την κεφαλήν σας.
5 Because, my silver and my gold, ye took away, —and, my richly beautiful things, carried ye into your temples;
Διότι ελάβετε το αργύριόν μου και το χρυσίον μου, και τα εκλεκτά μου αγαθά εφέρετε εις τους ναούς σας.
6 And, the sons of Judah and the sons of Jerusalem, ye sold to the sons of Greece, —that they might be far removed from their own boundary.
Τους δε υιούς Ιούδα και τους υιούς Ιερουσαλήμ επωλήσατε εις τους υιούς των Ελλήνων, διά να απομακρύνητε αυτούς από των ορίων αυτών.
7 Behold me! rousing them up out of the place whither ye sold them, —So will I bring back your dealing upon your own head.
Ιδού, εγώ θέλω εγείρει αυτούς από του τόπου όπου επωλήσατε αυτούς, και θέλω επιστρέψει το ανταπόδομά σας επί την κεφαλήν σας.
8 And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the sons of Judah, and they will sell them to Sabeans, unto a nation afar off, —for, Yahweh, hath spoken.
Και θέλω πωλήσει τους υιούς σας και τας θυγατέρας σας εις την χείρα των υιών Ιούδα, και θέλουσι πωλήσει αυτούς εις τους Σαβαίους, εις έθνος μακράν απέχον· διότι ο Κύριος ελάλησε.
9 Proclaim ye this, among the nations, Hallow a war, rouse the mighty ones, let them draw near, come up, all the men of war!
Κηρύξατε τούτο εν τοις έθνεσιν, αγιάσατε πόλεμον, διεγείρατε τους μαχητάς, ας πλησιάσωσιν, ας αναβαίνωσι πάντες οι άνδρες του πολέμου·
10 Beat your plough-shares into swords, and your pruning-hooks into spears, —as for the weak, let him say, mighty, I am.
σφυρηλατήσατε τα υνία σας εις ρομφαίας και τα δρέπανά σας εις λόγχας· ο αδύνατος ας λέγη, Εγώ είμαι δυνατός·
11 Give help—and come in, all ye nations on every side, and gather yourselves together, —Thither, bring down, O Yahweh, thy mighty ones!
Συναθροίσθητε και έλθετε κυκλόθεν, πάντα τα έθνη, και συνάχθητε ομού· εκεί θέλει καταστρέψει ο Κύριος τους ισχυρούς σου.
12 Let the nations, be roused, and come up, into the Vale of Jehoshaphat, —for, there, will I sit to judge all the nations, on every side.
Ας εγερθώσι και ας αναβώσι τα έθνη εις την κοιλάδα του Ιωσαφάτ· διότι εκεί θέλω καθήσει διά να κρίνω πάντα τα έθνη τα κυκλόθεν.
13 Thrust ye in the vintage knife, for, grown ripe, is the vintage, —Go in, tread down, for full is the winepress, flow over do the vats, for abundant is their wickedness.
Βάλετε δρέπανον, διότι ο θερισμός είναι ώριμος· έλθετε, κατάβητε· διότι ο ληνός είναι πλήρης, τα υπολήνια υπερεκχειλίζουσιν· επειδή η κακία αυτών είναι μεγάλη.
14 Multitudes, multitudes, in the vale of strict decision, —for near is the day of Yahweh, in the vale of strict decision.
Πλήθη, πλήθη εις την κοιλάδα της δίκης· διότι εγγύς είναι η ημέρα του Κυρίου εις την κοιλάδα της δίκης.
15 The sun and the moon, have become dark, —and, the stars, have withdrawn their shining,
Ο ήλιος και σελήνη θέλουσι συσκοτάσει και οι αστέρες θέλουσι σύρει οπίσω το φέγγος αυτών.
16 And, Yahweh, out of Zion, will roar, and, out of Jerusalem, will utter his voice, and the heavens and the earth, shall tremble, —but, Yahweh, shall be a shelter to his people, and a refuge to the sons of Israel.
Ο δε Κύριος θέλει βρυχήσει εκ Σιών και εκπέμψει την φωνήν αυτού εξ Ιερουσαλήμ· και οι ουρανοί και η γη θέλουσι σεισθή· αλλ' ο Κύριος θέλει είσθαι το καταφύγιον του λαού αυτού και η ισχύς των υιών Ισραήλ.
17 So shall ye know that, I, Yahweh, am your God, making my habitation in Zion my holy mountain, —So shall, Jerusalem, be, holy, and, foreigners, shall pass through her no more.
Ούτω θέλετε γνωρίσει ότι εγώ είμαι Κύριος ο Θεός σας, ο κατοικών εν Σιών, τω όρει τω αγίω μου· τότε η Ιερουσαλήμ θέλει είσθαι αγία και αλλογενείς δεν θέλουσι διέλθει δι' αυτής πλέον.
18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drip sweet wine, and the hills shall flow down with milk, and, all the channels of Judah, shall flow down with waters, —and, a spring, out of the house of Yahweh, shall come forth, and shall water the torrent-valley of the acacias.
Και εν τη ημέρα εκείνη τα όρη θέλουσι σταλάξει γλεύκος και οι λόφοι θέλουσι ρέει γάλα και πάντες οι ρύακες του Ιούδα θέλουσι ρέει ύδατα και πηγή θέλει εξέλθει εκ του οίκου του Κυρίου και θέλει ποτίζει την φάραγγα του Σιττείμ.
19 Egypt, to a desolation, shall be turned, and, Edom, to a desert most desolate, shall be changed, —because of the violence done to the sons of Judah, in that they shed innocent blood in their land.
Η Αίγυπτος θέλει είσθαι ηρημωμένη και ο Εδώμ θέλει είσθαι έρημος άβατος διά τας εις τους υιούς Ιούδα αδικίας, διότι έχυσαν αίμα αθώον εν τη γη αυτών.
20 But, Judah, age-abidingly, shall remain, and, Jerusalem, to generation after generation.
Η δε Ιουδαία θέλει κατοικείσθαι εις τον αιώνα και η Ιερουσαλήμ εις γενεάς γενεών.
21 And I will free from their blood-guiltiness them whom I had not freed, —for, Yahweh, is about to make his habitation in Zion.
Και θέλω καθαρίσει το αίμα αυτών, το οποίον δεν εκαθάρισα· διότι ο Κύριος κατοικεί εν Σιών.
