< Job 40 >

1 And Yahweh responded to Job, and said: —
Intuloy ni Yahweh ti nakisarita kenni Job; kinunana;
2 Shall a reprover contend, with the Almighty? He that disputeth with GOD, let him answer it!
“Rumbeng kadi a ti siasinoman nga agtarigagay a mangbabalaw ket padasenna nga aturen ti Mannakabalin-amin? Ti makisinsinnupiat iti Dios, bay-am isuna a sumungbat.”
3 Then Job responded to Yahweh, and said: —
Ket simmungbat ni Job kenni Yahweh ket kinunana,
4 Lo! I am of no account, what shall I reply to thee? My hand, have I laid on my mouth:
“Kitaem, awan ti pategko; kasanoka a masungbatan? Iyappotko ti imak iti ngiwatko.
5 Once, have I spoken, but I will not proceed, yea twice, but I will not add.
Nagsaoak iti naminsan, ket saanakon a sumungbat; kinapudnona, namindua, ngem saankon nga ituloy pay.”
6 So then Yahweh responded to Job, out of a storm, and said: —
Kalpasanna, simmungbat ni Yahweh kenni Job manipud iti nadawel a bagio, kinunana,
7 Gird, I pray thee—as a strong man—thy loins, I will ask thee, and inform thou me.
“Ita barikesam dagiti lumom a kas maysa a lalaki, ta agsaludsodak kenka, ket masapul a sungbatannak.
8 Wilt thou even frustrate my justice? Wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest appear right?
Pudno kadi nga ibagam a saanak a nalinteg? Pabasolennak kadi tapno maibagam a hustoka?
9 But if, an arm like GOD, thou hast, and, with a voice like his, thou canst thunder,
Addaanka kadi iti takiag a kas iti Dios? Mapaggurruodmo kadi babaen iti timek a kas kekuana?
10 Deck thyself, I pray thee, with majesty and grandeur, Yea, with dignity and splendour, thou shalt clothe thyself;
Ita, agkaweska iti kinadayag ken kinatakneng; arkosam ta bagim iti dayaw ken kinatan-ok.
11 Pour out thy transports of anger, and look on every one who is high, and lay him low;
Iwarasmo ti nalabes a pungtotmo; kitaem ti tunggal maysa a napalangguad ket ipababam isuna.
12 Look on every one who is high, and humble him, yea tread down the lawless, on the spot:
Kitaem ti tunggal maysa a napalangguad ket ipababam isuna; ipayatmo dagiti nadangkes a tattao iti pagtaktakderanda.
13 Hide them in the dust all together, Their faces, bind thou in darkness;
Ikalim ida a sangsangkamaysa iti daga; ibaludmo dagiti rupada iti nalimed a disso.
14 And, even I myself, will praise thee, in that thine own right hand can bring thee salvation.
Ket, bigbigekto met a kabaelannaka nga isalakan ti bukodmo a makannawan nga ima.
15 Behold, I pray thee, the Hippopotamus, which I made with thee, Grass—like the ox, he eateth;
Kitaem ita ti behemot, a pinarsuak a kas ti panangparsuak kenka; mangmangan daytoy iti ruot a kas iti baka.
16 Behold, I pray thee, his strength in his loins, and his force, in the muscles of his belly;
Ita kitaem, ti pigsana ket adda kadagiti lumona; ti bilegna ket adda iti piskel ti tianna.
17 He bendeth down his tail like a cedar, the sinews of his thighs, are twisted together;
Ikutkutina ti ipusna a kas iti maysa a sedro, nagsisilpo dagiti piskel ti luppona.
18 His bones, are barrels of bronze, his frame, is like hammered bars of iron:
Dagiti tulangna ket kasla kadagiti tubo a bronse; dagiti gurongna ket kasla kadagiti bareta a landok.
19 He, is the beginning of the ways of GOD, Let his maker, present him his sword:
Isuna ti pangulo dagiti pinarsua ti Dios. Ti Dios laeng, a nagparsua kenkuana, ti makaparmek kenkuana.
20 Surely the mountains bring, produce, to him, where, all the wild beasts of the field, do play;
Ta ipapaayan isuna dagiti turod iti taraon; agay-ayam iti asideg dagiti narungsot nga ayup.
21 Under the lotus-trees, he lieth down, in a covert of reed and swamp;
Agid-idda isuna iti sirok dagiti mula a lotus iti salinong dagiti runo, kadagiti ban-aw.
22 The lotus-trees cover him with their shade, the willows of the torrent-bed compass him about;
Linlinungan isuna dagiti mula a lotus; adda iti aglawlawna dagiti kayo a karawawe kadagiti waig.
23 Lo! the river becometh insolent—he is not alarmed! He is confident, though a Jordan burst forth to his mouth:
Kitaem, no layusen dagiti ti karayan ti pantarna, saan isuna nga agbuteng; natalek isuna, uray no dumakkel ti danum ti karayan Jordan aggingga iti sungona.
24 Before his eyes, shall he be caught? With a hook, can one pierce his nose?
Adda kadi makatiliw kenkuana babaen iti kawit, wenno mangtaldeng iti agongna babaen iti silo?
