Job 35
1 Moreover Elihu, responded and said: —
Ary mbola niteny ihany Eliho ka nanao hoe:
2 This, dost thou think to be right? Thou hast said—My righteousness is more than GOD’S.
Ataonao va fa marina ny nanaovanao hoe: Ny fahamarinako mihoatra noho ny an’ Andriamanitra?
3 For thou dost say, How can one profit by thee? How can I benefit, more than by my sin?
Fa hoy ianao: Mahasoa ahy manao ahoana moa? Ary inona no soa azoko mihoatra noho ny avy amin’ ny fahotako?
4 I, will answer thee plainly, and thy friends with thee.
Izaho no hiteny hamaly anao Mbamin’ ny namanao.
5 Look at the heavens and see, —and survey the skies—they are higher than thou.
Jereo ary ny lanitra ka izahao; Ary tsinjovy iry habakabaka, avo loatra iny ka tsy takatrao.
6 If thou sinnest, what canst thou work against him? Or, if thy transgressions be multiplied, what canst thou do unto him?
Raha manota ianao, moa mahefa inona aminy? Ary raha maro ny fahotanao, mampaninona Azy moa izany?
7 If thou art righteous, what canst thou give unto him? Or what, at thy hand, can he accept?
Raha marina ianao, dia hahazoany inona moa izany? Na inona no horaisiny avy amin’ ny tananao?
8 Unto a man like thyself, might thy lawlessness [reach], and, unto a son of the earth-born, thy righteousness.
Mihatra amin’ ny olona tahaka anao ihany ny ratsy ataonao; Ary mihatra amin’ ny olombelona ihany ny fahamarinanao.
9 By reason of the multitude of oppressions, [men] make outcry, They cry for help, by reason of the arm of the mighty;
Noho ny habiazan’ ny fampahoriana no itarainan’ ny olona; Eny, minananana izy noho ny sandrin’ ny mahery,
10 But none saith—Where is GOD my maker, Who giveth songs in the night;
Nefa tsy misy manao hoe: Aiza Andriamanitra, Mpanao ahy, Izay mahatonga fiderana amin’ ny alina,
11 Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and, beyond the bird of the heavens, giveth us wisdom?
Izay manome fahalalana antsika mihoatra noho ny an’ ny biby ambonin’ ny tany, dia Izay manome fahendrena antsika mihoatra noho ny an’ ny voro-manidina?
12 There, [men] make outcry, and he answereth not, because of the arrogance of evil-doers.
Eny, mitaraina mafy ireo (fa tsy mamaly Izy) noho ny fireharehan’ ny ratsy fanahy.
13 Howbeit, vanity, will GOD not hear, Yea, the Almighty, will not regard it.
Ny fitarainam-poana dia tsy mba henoin’ Andriamanitra, ary ny Tsitoha tsy mandinika izany.
14 How much less when thou sayest thou wilt not regard him! The cause, is before him, and thou must wait for him.
Na dia lazainao fa tsy mahita azy aza ianao, efa mby eo anatrehany ny ady, koa tsy maintsy miandry Azy ianao.
15 But, now, because it is not so, [thou sayest] —His anger hath punished, and yet hath he not at all known of transgression;
Koa raha saingy tsy mihatra ny fahatezerany, moa dia tsy fantany tsara koa va ny fihaikana?
16 Thus, Job, vainly openeth his mouth, Without knowledge, he multiplieth words.
Mba miloa-bava foana anefa Joba ary manao teny maro tsy amim-pahalalana.
