< Job 35 >

1 Moreover Elihu, responded and said: —
Ndipo Elihu anawonjeza kunena kuti,
2 This, dost thou think to be right? Thou hast said—My righteousness is more than GOD’S.
“Kodi mukuganiza kuti mukukhoza? Mukunena kuti, ‘Ndine wolungama pamaso pa Mulungu.’
3 For thou dost say, How can one profit by thee? How can I benefit, more than by my sin?
Komanso inu mukufunsa kuti, ‘Kodi phindu langa nʼchiyani, ndipo ndimapeza chiyani ndikapanda kuchimwa?’
4 I, will answer thee plainly, and thy friends with thee.
“Ine ndikufuna ndikuyankheni inu pamodzi ndi abwenzi anu omwe.
5 Look at the heavens and see, —and survey the skies—they are higher than thou.
Yangʼanani kumwamba ndipo muone mitambo imene ili kutali ndi inuyo.
6 If thou sinnest, what canst thou work against him? Or, if thy transgressions be multiplied, what canst thou do unto him?
Inuyo mukachimwa, Iye zimamukhudza motani? Ngati machimo anu ndi ochuluka, zimenezo zimachita chiyani kwa Iye?
7 If thou art righteous, what canst thou give unto him? Or what, at thy hand, can he accept?
Ngati inu ndinu wolungama, mumamupatsa Iyeyo chiyani? Kapena Iye amalandira chiyani chochokera mʼdzanja lanu?
8 Unto a man like thyself, might thy lawlessness [reach], and, unto a son of the earth-born, thy righteousness.
Kuyipa kwanu kumangokhudza anthu ngati inuyo, ndipo chilungamo chanu chimakhudza anthu anzanu.
9 By reason of the multitude of oppressions, [men] make outcry, They cry for help, by reason of the arm of the mighty;
“Anthu akufuwula chifukwa cha kuzunzidwa; akufuna chithandizo kuti achoke pansi pa ulamuliro wa anthu amphamvu.
10 But none saith—Where is GOD my maker, Who giveth songs in the night;
Koma palibe amene akunena kuti, ‘Kodi ali kuti Mulungu, Mlengi wanga, amene amatisangalatsa nthawi ya usiku,
11 Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and, beyond the bird of the heavens, giveth us wisdom?
amene amatiphunzitsa kupambana nyama za dziko lapansi ndipo amatipatsa nzeru kupambana mbalame zowuluka?’
12 There, [men] make outcry, and he answereth not, because of the arrogance of evil-doers.
Iye sayankha pamene anthu akufuwulira kwa Iye chifukwa cha kudzikuza kwa anthu oyipa.
13 Howbeit, vanity, will GOD not hear, Yea, the Almighty, will not regard it.
Ndithu, Mulungu samva kupempha kwawo kopanda pake; Wamphamvuzonse sasamalira zimenezi.
14 How much less when thou sayest thou wilt not regard him! The cause, is before him, and thou must wait for him.
Ndipo ndi bodza lalikulu kunena kuti Iye saona zimene zikuchitika. Iye adzaweruza molungama ngati inu mutamudikira
15 But, now, because it is not so, [thou sayest] —His anger hath punished, and yet hath he not at all known of transgression;
ndiye tsono popeza kuti ukali wake sukupereka chilango, zoyipa zambiri zimene anthu amachita,
16 Thus, Job, vainly openeth his mouth, Without knowledge, he multiplieth words.
abambo Yobu mumangoyankhula zopandapake, mukungochulukitsa mawu opanda nzeru.”
