Jeremiah 29
1 Now these, are the, words of the letter which Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem, —unto the residue of the elders of the captivity, and unto the priests and unto the prophets and unto all the people, whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon;

2 after that Jeconiah the king and the queen-mother and the eunuchs the princes of Judah and Jerusalem and the craftsmen and the smiths, had gone forth from Jerusalem; —
Mokanda yango etindamaki sima na bato oyo kokende na bawumbu longwa na Yelusalemi: mokonzi Yekonia, mama ya mokonzi, bakalaka na ye ya lokumu, bakambi ya Yuda mpe ya Yelusalemi, bato oyo balambaka bibende na moto mpe bato ya misala ya maboko.
3 by the hand of Elasah son of Shaphan and Gemariah son of Hilkiah, whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent unto Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, saying: —
Apesaki mokanda yango na maboko ya Eleasa, mwana mobali ya Shafani; mpe na maboko ya Gemaria, mwana mobali ya Ilikia. Ezali bango nde Sedesiasi, mokonzi ya Yuda, atindaki na Babiloni epai ya Nabukodonozori, mokonzi ya Babiloni. Mokanda yango elobaki boye:
4 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel, Unto all the captivity whom I have suffered to be carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon:
Tala liloba oyo Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga, Nzambe ya Isalaele, alobi epai ya bato nyonso oyo namemaki na bowumbu, na Babiloni wuta na Yelusalemi:
5 Build ye houses and dwell in them, —And plant ye gardens and eat the fruit thereof;
« Botonga bandako mpe bovanda kuna; bolona banzete mpe bolia mbuma na yango;
6 Take ye wives and beget sons and daughters, And take wives, for your sons, and, your daughters, give ye to husbands, That they may bear sons and daughters, —And so become ye many there and do not become few;
bobalana, bobota bana mibali mpe bana basi, bolukela bana na bino ya mibali basi mpe bobalisa bana na bino ya basi, mpo ete bango mpe babota bana mibali mpe bana basi. Bobotana kuna mpe bokoma ebele, mpe botika te ete motango na bino ekita.
7 And seek the welfare of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray for her unto Yahweh, —For in her welfare, shall ye have welfare.
Boluka kimia mpe bolamu ya engumba epai wapi namemaki bino na bowumbu; bobondela Yawe mpo na yango, pamba te soki yango ebongi, bino mpe bokozala malamu. »
8 For Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts God of Israel, Let not your prophets that are in your midst nor your diviners beguile you, —Neither hearken ye unto your dreams which ye are dreaming;
Solo, tala liloba oyo Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga, Nzambe ya Isalaele, alobi: « Bomitika te ete basakoli mpe bato ya soloka oyo bazali kati na bino bakosa bino: bondimela te bato oyo bazali kolimbolela bino bandoto.
9 For falsely, are they prophesying unto you in my name, —I have not sent them, Declareth Yahweh.
Pamba te bazali nde kosakola makambo ya lokuta na Kombo na Ngai; natindi bango te, » elobi Yawe.
10 For, thus, saith Yahweh, —That as soon as there are fulfilled to Babylon seventy years, I will visit you, —and establish for you my good word, by causing you to return unto this place.
Kasi tala liloba oyo Yawe alobi: « Tango mibu tuku sambo ekokoka mpo na Babiloni, nakoya epai na bino mpe nakokokisa elaka na Ngai ya ngolu mpo na kozongisa bino na esika oyo.
11 For, I, know the plans which I am planning for you Declareth Yahweh, —Plans of welfare and not of calamity, To give you a future and a hope.
Pamba te nayebi malamu mabongisi oyo nasalaki mpo na bino, » elobi Yawe, « mabongisi ya kosalela bino bolamu, kasi ya konyokola bino te, mabongisi mpo na kopesa bino elikya mpe bomoi malamu.
12 So shall ye call upon me, —And go and pray unto me, —And I will hearken unto you;
Boye bokobelela Ngai, bokoya epai na Ngai mpe bokobondela Ngai; mpe Ngai nakoyoka bino.
13 So shall ye seek me and find, For ye will enquire after me with all your heart;
Bokoluka Ngai mpe bokomona Ngai, soki boluki Ngai na motema na bino mobimba.
14 And I will be found of you, Declareth Yahweh, And will turn back your captivity, And will gather you out of all the nations and out of all the places whither I have driven you, Declareth Yahweh, And will bring you back into the place whence I had caused you to be carried away captive:
Nakomimonisa epai na bino, » elobi Yawe, « mpe nakozongisa bino longwa na bowumbu. Nakosangisa bino longwa na bikolo nyonso mpe na bisika nyonso epai wapi nabenganaki bino, » elobi Yawe, « nakozongisa bino na esika oyo namemelaki bino na bowumbu. »
15 Because ye have said, —Yahweh hath raised us up prophets in Babylon.
Solo, bokoki koloba: « Yawe abimisi basakoli kati na biso awa na Babiloni! »
16 For, thus, saith Yahweh Against the king who is sitting on the throne of David, and Against all the people who are remaining in this city, —your brethren who have not gone forth with you into captivity:
Kasi tala liloba oyo Yawe alobi na tina na mokonzi oyo avandi na kiti ya bokonzi ya Davidi, na tina na bavandi nyonso ya engumba oyo, mpe na tina na bandeko na bino oyo bakendeki te na bowumbu elongo na bino;
17 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Behold me! sending upon them sword famine, and pestilence, —So will I make them like the horrid figs, that cannot be eaten for badness;
tala liloba oyo Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga, alobi: « Nakotindela bango mopanga, nzala makasi mpe bokono oyo ebomaka, mpe nakokomisa bango lokola mbuma ya figi oyo epola, oyo moto ata moko te akokoka kolia.
18 Therefore will I pursue them with sword with famine and with pestilence, —And will make them a terror to all the kingdoms of the earth A curse and an astonishment and a hissing and a reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them:
Nakolanda bango na mopanga, na nzala makasi mpe na bokono oyo ebomaka; mpe na miso ya bikolo nyonso ya mabele, nakokomisa bango eloko ya koyoka somo, ndakisa mpo na koloba maloba ya bosoloka, eloko ya lisuma, eloko ya kobanga mpe ya kotiola kati na bikolo nyonso epai wapi nakobengana bango.
19 Because they hearkened not unto my words Declareth Yahweh, —which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, betimes, sending them yet hearkened they not Declareth Yahweh.
Pamba te bayokaki maloba na Ngai te, » elobi Yawe, « maloba oyo nazalaki kotindela bango tango na tango na nzela ya basali na Ngai, basakoli. Mpe bino bato oyo bokendeki na bowumbu, bino mpe boyokaki te, » elobi Yawe.
20 Ye, therefore, hear ye the word of Yahweh, all ye of the captivity, whom I have sent from Jerusalem to Babylon:
Yango wana, boyoka Liloba na Yawe, bino bawumbu nyonso oyo natindaki na Babiloni longwa na Yelusalemi.
21 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel Concerning Ahab son of Kolaiah, and concerning Zedekiah son of Maaseiah, who are prophesying to you in my name, a falsehood, Behold me! delivering them into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he will smite them before your eyes:
Tala liloba oyo Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga, Nzambe ya Isalaele, alobi na tina na Akabi, mwana mobali ya Kolaya, mpe na tina na Sedesiasi, mwana mobali ya Maaseya, oyo bazali kosakola makambo ya lokuta epai na bino, na Kombo na Ngai: « Nakokaba bango na maboko ya Nabukodonozori, mokonzi ya Babiloni, mpe akoboma bango na miso na bino.
22 So shall there be taken up—from them—a curse, by all of the captivity of Judah who are in Babylon saying, —Yahweh make thee like Zedekiah and like Ahab, Whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire!
Likolo na bango, bawumbu nyonso oyo bawutaki na Yuda, bongo bazali na Babiloni, bakosalela elakeli mabe oyo: ‹ Tika ete Yawe asala bino ndenge asalaki Sedesiasi mpe Akabi, oyo mokonzi ya Babiloni atumbaki na moto! ›
23 Because they have committed vileness in Israel And have committed adultery with the wives of their neighbours, And have spoken as a word in my name a falsehood, which I commanded them not, —And, I, am one who knoweth—and a witness Declareth Yahweh.
Pamba te basalaki kati na Isalaele ekobo elongo na basi ya baninga na bango, bapaya, mpe balobaki lokuta na Kombo na Ngai, nzokande Ngai natindaki bango te kosala bongo. Nayebi yango malamu, mpe Ngai moko nazali Motatoli na yango, » elobi Yawe.
24 Also unto Shemaiah the Nehelamite, shalt thou speak, saying:
Yebisa Shemaya, moto ya Nekelami, maloba oyo:
25 Thus, speaketh Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel, saying, —Because, thou, hast sent in, thine own name, letters, unto all the people who are in Jerusalem, and unto Zephaniah son, of Maaseiah the priest, and unto all the priests saying:
« Tala liloba oyo Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga, Nzambe ya Isalaele, alobi: Otindaki mikanda na kombo na yo moko epai ya bato nyonso ya Yelusalemi, epai ya Nganga-Nzambe Sofoni, mwana mobali ya Maaseya, mpe epai ya Banganga-Nzambe. Olobaki na Sofoni:
26 Yahweh, hath made thee priest instead of Jehoiada the priest, that ye should be deputies in the house of Yahweh, to any man who is raving and prophesying, so shalt thou put him into the stocks and into the pillory:
‹ Yawe aponaki yo Nganga-Nzambe na esika ya Yeoyada mpo ete obatela Tempelo ya Yawe. Osengelaki kobwaka na boloko mpe kokanga bibende na makolo, bato pamba oyo bazali komimona lokola basakoli.
27 Now, therefore, why, hast thou not rebuked Jeremiah of Anathoth, who is prophesying unto you?
Boye, mpo na nini opamelaki te mosakoli Jeremi, moto ya Anatoti, oyo azali komimona lokola mosakoli kati na bino?
28 For, on this account, hath he sent unto us in Babylon, saying, —’Tis, long! Build ye houses and dwell in them, And plant gardens and eat the fruit thereof.
Atindelaki biso sango oyo kati na Babiloni: Bowumbu na bino ekowumela tango molayi. Yango wana, botonga bandako mpe bovanda kuna, bolona bilanga mpe bolia mbuma na yango. › »
29 And Zephaniah the priest hath read this letter in the ears of Jeremiah the prophet,
Nzokande, Nganga-Nzambe Sofoni atangisaki mosakoli Jeremi mokanda yango.
30 Therefore hath the word of Yahweh come unto Jeremiah, saying:
Boye, Yawe alobaki na Jeremi:
31 Send thou unto all them of the captivity, saying, Thus, saith Yahweh, Concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite, —Because Shemaiah, hath prophesied to you, when, I, had not sent him, And hath caused you to trust in falsehood,
« Tinda sango oyo epai ya bawumbu nyonso: ‹ Tala liloba oyo Yawe alobi na tina na Shemaya, moto ya Nekelami: Lokola Shemaya asakolaki makambo ya lokuta epai na bino, nzokande natindaki ye te, mpe amemi bino na kotia motema na lokuta,
32 Therefore Thus, saith Yahweh, —Behold me! bringing punishment upon Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and upon his seed, He shall have no man to dwell in the midst of this people, Nor shall he see the good that I am about to do for my people, Declareth Yahweh; Because revolt, hath he spoken against Yahweh.
