Isaiah 62
1 For Zion’s sake, will I not hold my peace, And for Jerusalem’s sake, will I not rest, —Until her righteousness, go forth as brightness, And her salvation, as a torch that is lighted.
Διά την Σιών δεν θέλω σιωπήσει και διά την Ιερουσαλήμ δεν θέλω ησυχάσει, εωσού η δικαιοσύνη αυτής εξέλθη ως λάμψις και η σωτηρία αυτής ως λαμπάς καιομένη.
2 So shall nations see thy righteousness, And all kings, thy glory; And thou shalt be called by a new name, which, the mouth of Yahweh, will name.
Και θέλουσιν ιδεί τα έθνη την δικαιοσύνην σου και πάντες οι βασιλείς την δόξαν σου· και θέλεις ονομασθή με νέον όνομα, το οποίον του Κυρίου το στόμα θέλει ονομάσει.
3 Then shalt thou become—A crown of adorning, in the hand of Yahweh, and A royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
Και θέλεις είσθαι στέφανος δόξης εν χειρί Κυρίου και διάδημα βασιλικόν εν τη παλάμη του Θεού σου.
4 Thou shalt he termed no longer—Forsaken Nor shall thy land be termed any longer A desolation, But, thou, shalt be called Hephzibah ["My delight is in her"], And, thy land, Beulah ["married"], —For Yahweh hath found delight in thee, And thy land, shall be married.
Δεν θέλεις πλέον ονομασθή, Εγκαταλελειμμένη· ουδέ η γη σου θέλει πλέον ονομασθή, Ηρημωμένη· αλλά θέλεις ονομασθή, Η ευδοκία μου εν αυτή· και η γη σου, Η νενυμφευμένη· διότι ο Κύριος ηυδόκησεν επί σε, και η γη σου θέλει είσθαι νενυμφευμένη.
5 For a young man marrieth, a virgin, Thy sons marry thee! And the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride—Thy God, rejoiceth over thee.
Διότι καθώς ο νέος νυμφεύεται με παρθένον, ούτως οι υιοί σου θέλουσι συνοικεί μετά σού· και καθώς ο νυμφίος ευφραίνεται εις την νύμφην, ούτως ο Θεός σου θέλει ευφρανθή εις σε.
6 Upon thy walls O Jerusalem, have I appointed watchmen, All the day and all the night through, let them not hold their peace, —O ye that put Yahweh in mind, Do not take rest to yourselves,
Επί των τειχών σου, Ιερουσαλήμ, κατέστησα φύλακας, οίτινες ποτέ δεν θέλουσι σιωπά ούτε ημέραν ούτε νύκτα· όσοι ανακαλείτε τον Κύριον, μη φυλάττετε σιωπήν.
7 Neither give rest, unto him, Until he establish and until he set forth Jerusalem as a praise in the earth!
Και μη δίδετε εις αυτόν ανάπαυσιν, εωσού συστήση και εωσού κάμη την Ιερουσαλήμ αίνεσιν επί της γης.
8 Sworn hath Yahweh—By his own right hand, and By his own strong arm, —Surely I will give thy corn no more, as food to thine enemies, Nor shall the sons of the foreigner drink thy new wine, for which thou hast toiled;
Ο Κύριος ώμοσεν επί την δεξιάν αυτού και επί τον βραχίονα της δυνάμεως αυτού, δεν θέλω δώσει πλέον τον σίτόν σου τροφήν εις τους εχθρούς σου· και οι υιοί του αλλογενούς δεν θέλουσι πίνει τον οίνόν σου, διά τον οποίον εμόχθησας·
9 But they who have garnered it, shall eat it, and praise Yahweh, —And they who have gathered in its clusters, shall drink it in my holy courts.
αλλ' οι θερίζοντες θέλουσι τρώγει αυτόν και αινεί τον Κύριον· και οι τρυγώντες θέλουσι πίνει αυτόν εν ταις αυλαίς της αγιότητός μου.
10 Pass ye through pass ye through the gates, Prepare ye the way of the people, —Cast ye up, cast ye up the highway, Clear it of stones, Lift ye high a standard unto the peoples.
Περάσατε, περάσατε διά των πυλών· ετοιμάσατε την οδόν του λαού· επισκευάσατε, επισκευάσατε την οδόν· εκρίψατε τους λίθους· υψώσατε σημαίαν προς τους λαούς.
11 Lo! Yahweh, hath sent a message unto the end of the earth: Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Lo! thy Salvation, is coming, —Lo! his reward, is with him, And, his recompense, before him:
Ιδού, ο Κύριος διεκήρυξεν έως των άκρων της γης, Είπατε προς την θυγατέρα της Σιών, Ιδού, ο Σωτήρ σου έρχεται· ιδού, ο μισθός αυτού είναι μετ' αυτού και το έργον αυτού ενώπιον αυτού.
12 So shall men call them—The holy people The redeemed of Yahweh, —And, thou, shalt be called—Sought out, A city not forsaken,
Και θέλουσιν ονομάσει αυτούς, Ο Άγιος λαός, Ο λελυτρωμένος του Κυρίου· και συ θέλεις ονομασθή, Επιζητουμένη, πόλις ουκ εγκαταλελειμμένη.
