< Isaiah 44 >

1 Now, then—hear, O Jacob, my Servant, —and Israel whom I have chosen:
Hijongle tuhin kalhachapa Jacob, kalhendohpa Israel kasei ngaijin.
2 Thus, saith Yahweh—Who made thee and formed thee from birth, Who helpeth thee: Do not fear O my Servant Jacob, and Jeshurun whom I have chosen;
Pakai nasempa le napanpi chun aseije: Kicha hih in, Vo Jacob, kasohpa. Kalungset vo Israel, kalhendoh penpa.
3 For I will pour, Water upon the thirsty soil, and Floods upon the dry ground, —I will pour My spirit upon thy seed, and My blessing upon thine offspring;
Ajeh chu keiman nadangchah dangnou sahna dingin twi kahinsun lhah ding chule naloulai ju aleiset goho chu boltheina dinga twi kahin nensah ding ahi. Chule keiman ka lhagao nason-nachilhah ho’u chunga ka Lhagao kabuhlhah ding ahi.
4 So will they spring up among the grass, As willows by the water-courses:
Amaho hi twi kichapnou ham hing tobang ding, vadung pama huisum thing phung tobang diu ahi.
5 This one, will say Yahweh’s, am I, and That one, will call himself by the name of Jacob, and Yonder one will write on his hand—Yahweh’s, And after the name of Israel, will one entitle himself.
Abangho chun kiletsah tah’a, “Keima Pakaiya kahi,”atidingu ahi. Adangho chun, “Keima Jacob chilhah kahi,”atidiu ahi. Mi abang khatloi chun Pakai min chu akhut chunguva ajih dingu chule Israel min chu ama hoa akisan dingu ahitai.
6 Thus saith Yahweh—King of Israel, Even his Redeemer, Yahweh of hosts, —I, am, First, and, I, Last, And besides me, there is no God.
Hiche hi Pakaiyin aseichu- Israelte Lengpa le Huhhingpu chu, Vanna Pakai galmi ahiuve, ati dingu:
7 Who then, like me, can call, and declare it, and order it, for me, Seeing that I appointed an age-abiding people, —Or things yet to be, and that shall come to pass, Let them declare on their part.
Keitobang koi umham? Ama chun malama kal hin song hen chule athuneina photchenna hinpe hen. Keiman phat masa laiya kana phudetna chule akhonung ding kana phudohsa peh tobang'in ama jong chun boldoh hen.
8 Do not ye dread, nor yet be alarmed, Have I not from olden time, told thee and declared? So that, ye, are my witnesses, —Whether there is a GOD besides me? Or is no Rock—I knew of none!
Tijat bol hih un, kicha hihbeh un. Keima masang peh’a nangho dinga Pathen dang koi umem? Kalung gon kaphondohsa hita lou ham? Nangho hi Keima het tohsah’a panga nahiuvin- Pathen adang um mong em? Songpi dang aumpoi- khat jeng jong aumpoi.
9 The fashioners of an image—all of them, are emptiness, And, the things they delight in, cannot profit, —And, their, witnesses, they, neither see nor know, That they may be ashamed.
Milim semtu sema pangho itobang tah’a ngol hiu vem? Asahlut tah hou hi aphatchomna bei ahi. Milim semthu houhon hiche hi ahepouvin, hijeh’a hi abonchauva kisum souva ahi.
10 Who hath fashioned a GOD, Oran image, hath molten? It cannot profit!
Koiham angol’a ahilouleh pathen akisem thu thei ding ham? Milim kisemthu khatnin themcha’a jong akithopi theilou hija ahi.
11 Lo! all his partners, turn pale, Even, the artificers themselves, are of the sons of earth, —Let them gather themselves together—all of them. Let them take their stand, Let them dread, and turn pale, together!
Milim semthu hou ho, adeh’a asema pang ho hi jachat umtah ahiuvin- mihem mai mai bep ahiuvin-pathen kasem thei diu ahi tin akithang at’uvin ahi. Amaho pang khom theinau vinte, hinla amaho hi tijatna le jachatna mun’a hung ding diu ahiuve.
12 As for the smith, [with his] cutting-tool, —When he hath wrought in the live coals, And, with hammers, hath fashioned it, —And hath wrought it with his strong arm, Anon he is hungry, and hath no strength, He hath drunk no water and so hath become faint!
Chuphatnin, thih khengpa chu ameisa akonin manchah hemtah sem dingin adingdoh in, athaneina pumpi panin thih chu akhengin chule adei bangin asemin ahi. Anatoh jallin ama agil kellin chule alhachomin, chule hichun adangchah sah in chule alhadah jengtai.
13 As for the carpenter, —He hath stretched out a line hath drawn it with a pencil, Hath made it with carving tools, With compasses, hath rounded it, —And so hath made it after the figure of a great man, After the beauty of a son of earth, that it may remain in a house!
Chuphatnin, thingthem bolpa chun thing bong ho chu ate tohna alan, chule agol kaina’a chun gol akaijin, atetoh in chule agongso chu aumdoh sahtai. Aman chah hemtah chu apanin chule atoltoh in, hiti chun mihem limin ahin semdoh in, mihem’hoina limpun asem’in, chuin a pathen houna in na neo sunga chun akoitai.
14 When one was cutting him down cedars, Then took he a holm-tree and an oak, And secured them for himself, among the trees of the forest, —He planted a fir-tree and the pouring rain made it grow;
Ama’n Cedar thingho chu aphuh ‘in, kheng thing le khongnang thing phung chu alhengdoh in, chah thing chu gam mang lah’a aphutnin chule go hung ju lha chun achap nou jin ahi.
15 So it serveth for a man to burn, And he hath taken of the branches and warmed himself, Also he kindleth a fire, and baketh bread, —Also he maketh a GOD, and hath bowed himself down, Hath made of it a carved image, and adored it:
Chujouvin aman thing go phabep chu meiya atih’in, hiche chu aman aki’oijin chule aching lhah jong akisem’in ahi. Chutah in amoh chengse chu pathen’na houthei dingin akisemin, hiche alim semthu masanga chun akuntai.
16 The half thereof, hath he burned in the fire, Over half thereof, he eateth flesh, He roasteth roast, that he may be satisfied, —Also he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen a blaze;
Ama’n thing phabep chu atih kouvin, sa chu akigon, chule oi jong aki’oijin, hiche meisa hi anom’e, tin aseitai.
17 And the residue thereof, Into a GOD, he maketh, Into his carved image, —Adoreth it, and boweth down and prayeth unto it, And saith Deliver me, for, my GOD, thou art!
Chujouvin aman thing amoh chengse chu ala’n, semthu pathen’lim akisuitai. Chuche masanga chun adilsun, ahouvin chule ahenga chun ataove: “Nei huhdoh in, nangma ka-pathen nahi” tin aseije.
18 They have not taken note, neither can they perceive, —He hath besmeared—past seeing—their eyes, Past understanding, their hearts;
Hibang lom’a ngol chonna le hetna neilou hi! Amitnu asin jeh un, amuthei tapouve. Alungu akihonlou jeh in, agelthei tapouve.
19 And no one reflecteth—There is neither knowledge nor discernment—to say, Half thereof, have I burned up in the fire Moreover also I have baked, on the coals thereof, bread, I roasted flesh, and have been eating, —And of the remainder thereof, an abomination, shall I make? And, to a log of wood, shall I pay adoration?
Alim semthu sema panga jong chun, “hiche hi thinggo kisem thua ahibouve!” Mei luma tidingin akeh khat kahaltai, chule kachang lhah kanna ding le sagomina dingin kamangtai. Iti danna amoh chengse chu pathen kisohthei ding hija? Keiman thing amoh um chu Pathen houva kahou ding hija ham? tia lunga dattohna jong aneipoi!
20 He is feeding on ashes, A deluded heart, hath turned him aside, —And he cannot deliver his own soul nor say, Is there not a falsehood in my right hand?
Mi vaicha chu ahilou hel atahsan sah un, mi ngol vutvaija kivah ahi. Apanpi theilou hel ding khat chu atahsan ahitai. Hinla, “Hiche lim kisem thu kakhutna katuh hi jou thubuh hilou ham?”tia amachang kidohna aneithei dehpon ahi.
21 Remember these things, O Jacob, And, Israel, —for, my Servant, thou art, —I have fashioned thee, a Servant of mine, thou art.
Vo Jacob, lung gillin ngaiton, ajeh chu nangma kalhacha nahi, vo Israel. Keima Pakai, nasempa kahin, chule Keiman kasuhmil louhel ding nahi.
22 O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me, I have wiped out, As with a thick cloud, thy transgressions, And as with a broad cloud, thy sins, —Return unto me, for I have redeemed thee.
Keiman mei bang kitol to banga nachonsetna ho katol mangtai. Keiman nasuhkhel ho chu jingkah daitui tobang'in kanoimang gam ahitai. Oh kahenga hungkile kitnin, ajeh chu nangma chamlhatsah dinga keiman aman kapehchai ahitai.
23 Shout in triumph ye heavens for Yahweh, hath effectually wrought. Shout, O ye underparts of the earth, Ring out, Ye mountains, into cries of triumph, Thou forest, and every tree therein, —For, Yahweh, hath redeemed, Jacob, And in Israel, will he get himself glory.
Vo Vanho, vahchoina la sauvin, ajeh chu Pakaiyin thil kidangtah aboltai. Kipah thanomin samuvin, leiset noi lama hon jong! Vo lhangsangho le gammang ho chule thingphung tinin, La hinsa doh uvin! Ajeh chu Pakaiyin Jacob ahuhdoh in chule Israel lah’a choi’atnin aumtai.
24 Thus, saith Yahweh Who hath redeemed thee, Who hath fashioned thee from birth, —I—Yahweh, am the maker of all things, Stretching out the heavens, alone, Spreading forth the earth, of myself;
Hiche hi Pakai na Huhhingpa le na Sempa chun, “Keima hi Pakai thil jouse sempa chu kahi. Keiman van hohi kapha jal ahi. Leiset kasempetna kakoma koi umem? Tia asei ahi.
25 Frustrating the signs of praters, And, diviners, he confoundeth, —Turning wise men backwards, And their knowledge, he maketh folly;
Keiman themgao lhem ho chu mijou ahiuve tia kasosal’a chule thil hung lhung dia gaova thusei ho mingol ho kati ahi. Keiman miching ho chu thumopna phalou kapeh’a, hitia chu amaho chu angolnau kaphot chet ahitai.
26 Establishing the word of his Servant, And the counsel of his Messengers, he maketh good, —Who saith of Jerusalem—She shall be inhabited! And of the cities of Judah—They shall be built! And the ruins thereof, will I set up!
Hinla ka themgao ho thuphon chu kasuh bulhit peh in ahi! Amaho chu Kaman chah’a Jerusalem jah’a, “Miho ho chu hiche muna hi chengkit ding ahiuvin chule Judah khopi hoa, “Nangho kisadoh kit ding nahiuvin, nanei amangho kahin kiledohsah kit ding nahiuve,” tia kaseipeh ahi.
27 Who saith to the deep—Be dry and Thy rivers, will I drain!
Keiman vadung ho jah’a, “Kang tauvin,” kati teng, kang jeng diu ahitai.
28 Who saith of Cyrus—My Shepherd! and All my pleasure, shall he make good Even saying of Jerusalem—She shall be built! And of the temple—Be her foundation laid!
Cyrus jah’a chu, “Ama ka Kelngoichingpa ahi, tia kasei teng, kasei tobanga aman aboltei ding hija ahi. Aman thu apeh’a, “Jerusalem sapha kitnun, atiding: ‘Hou’In sempha kit’uvin,’tia aseiding ahije.
