Isaiah 33
1 Alas! thou plunderer when, thou, hadst not been plundered, And thou traitor when they had not betrayed thee: When thou hast ceased plundering, thou shalt be plundered, When thou hast left off betraying, they shall betray thee.
૧તને અફસોસ છે! વિનાશ કરનારનો વિનાશ થયો નથી! તું ઠગાઈ કરે છે, પણ તેઓએ તારી સાથે ઠગાઈ કરી નહિ, તને અફસોસ! તું વિનાશ કરવાનું બંધ કરીશ ત્યારે તારો વિનાશ થશે. તું ઠગાઈ કરવી બંધ કરીશ, ત્યારે તેઓ તારી સાથે ઠગાઈ કરશે.
2 O Yahweh! shew us favour, —For thee, have we waited, —Be thou their arm every morning, Yea our salvation in the time of distress.
૨હે યહોવાહ, અમારા પર કૃપા કરો, અમે તમારી વાટ જોયા કરીએ છીએ; દર સવારે તમે અમારો ભુજ અને દુઃખના સમયે અમારા ઉદ્ધારનાર થાઓ.
3 At the noise of a tumult, the peoples retreated, —When thou didst lift thyself up, nations were scattered.
૩ભારે અવાજથી લોકો નાસે છે; જ્યારે તમે ઊઠ્યા ત્યારે વિદેશીઓ વિખેરાયા છે.
4 Then shall your spoil be gathered as the gathering of the caterpillar, —As the swift running of locusts, is he about to run upon them.
૪જેમ માણસો કાતરા એકઠા કરે છે તેમ તમારી લૂંટ એકઠી કરવામાં આવશે; તીડો ધસી આવે છે તે પ્રમાણે તેઓ તે પર ધસી આવશે.
5 Exalted is Yahweh, for he inhabiteth a height, —He hath filled Zion with justice and righteousness.
૫યહોવાહ મોટા મનાયા છે; તે ઉચ્ચસ્થાનમાં રહે છે. તે સિયોનને ઇનસાફ અને ન્યાયથી ભરે છે.
6 So shall a wealth of deliverances, wisdom and knowledge, become the stability of thy times, —the reverence of Yahweh, the same is his treasure.
૬તે તારા સમયમાં સ્થિર થશે, ઉદ્ધાર, ડહાપણ અને ડહાપણનો ભંડાર; યહોવાહનો ભય તે જ તેનો ખજાનો છે.
7 Lo! their heroes, have cried out openly, —the messengers of peace, in bitterness, continue weeping [they say]:
૭જુઓ, તેઓના શૂરવીરો બહારથી વિલાપ કરે છે; સલાહ કરનારા અને શાંતિની આશા રાખનારા પોક મૂકીને રડે છે.
8 The highways are deserted, The passer-by on the path, hath ceased, —He hath broken covenant, He hath despised cities, He hath made no account of men.
૮માર્ગો ઉજ્જડ થયા છે; વટેમાર્ગુ બંધ થયા છે. કરાર તોડવામાં આવ્યો છે, સાક્ષીને ધિક્કાર્યા છે અને નગરો આદર વિનાનાં થઈ ગયાં છે.
9 The land mourneth, languisheth, Lebanon, displayeth shame, is withered, —Sharon, hath become, as the waste plain, And Bashan and Carmel are shaking off their leaves.
૯દેશ વિલાપ કરે છે અને સુકાઈ જાય છે; લબાનોન લજ્જિત થઈને સંકોચાઈ જાય છે; શારોન ઉજ્જડ જંગલ જેવો થયો છે; અને બાશાન તથા કાર્મેલ પોતાનાં પાંદડાં ખેરવી નાખે છે.
10 Now, will I arise, Saith Yahweh, Now, will I lift myself up, Now, will I be exalted!
૧૦યહોવાહ કહે છે, “હવે હું ઊઠીશ;” હમણાં હું પોતાને ઊંચો કરીશ; હમણાં હું મોટો મનાઈશ.
11 Ye shall conceive chaff Ye shall bring forth stubble, —Your own breath, like fire, shall devour you.
૧૧તમે ફોતરાંનો ગર્ભ ધરશો અને ખૂંપરાને જન્મ આપશો; તમારો શ્વાસ તમને બાળી નાખનાર અગ્નિ જેવો છે.
12 So shall peoples, become, as the burnings of lime, —As thorns lopped off, with fire, shall they be burned.
૧૨લોકો ભઠ્ઠીમાં ચૂના જેવા, અગ્નિમાં બાળી નાખેલા અને કાપેલા કાંટા જેવા થશે.
13 Hear—ye that are far off. what I have done, And know—ye that are near my might:
૧૩તમે જેઓ દૂર છો તેઓ, મેં જે કર્યું છે તે સાંભળો; અને તમે પાસે રહેનારાઓ, મારું પરાક્રમ જાણો.
14 Terror-stricken in Zion, —are sinners, Shuddering hath seized the impious, —Who among us can sojourn with a fire that devoureth? Who among us can sojourn with burnings age-abiding?
૧૪સિયોનમાં પાપીઓ ભયભીત થયા છે, અધર્મીઓને ધ્રૂજારી ચઢી છે. આપણામાંનો કોણ બાળી નાખનાર અગ્નિ સાથે વાસો કરશે? આપણામાંનો કોણ સદા બળતી આગ સાથે વાસો કરશે?
15 He that walketh righteously, And speaketh uprightly, —He that refuseth the gain of exactions That shaketh his hands free from holding a bribe, That stoppeth his ear from hearkening to deeds of blood, And shutteth his eyes from giving countenance to wrong,
૧૫જે ન્યાયને માર્ગે ચાલે છે અને સત્ય બોલે છે; જે જુલમની કમાઈને ધિક્કારે છે, જે લાંચ લેવાનો ઇનકાર કરે છે, જે ગુનો કરવાની યોજના કરતો નથી, અને જે ભૂંડું ન જોવા માટે પોતાની આંખ મીંચી દે છે, તે જ વાસો કરશે.
16 He, the heights, shall inhabit, A stronghold of crags, shall be his refuge, —His bread, hath been delivered, His waters, have been made sure,
૧૬તે ઉચ્ચસ્થાનને પોતાનું રહેઠાણ બનાવશે; ખડકોના કિલ્લા તેનો આશ્રય થશે; તેને નિશ્ચે ખોરાક અને પાણી મળતાં રહેશે.
17 Of a king, in his beauty, shall thine eyes have vision: They shall see a land that stretcheth afar.
૧૭તારી આંખો રાજાને તેના સૌંદર્યમાં જોશે; તેઓ વિશાળ દેશને જોશે.
18 Thy heart, may murmur in terror, —Where is the scribe? Where—the receiver? Where—he that maketh a list of the towers?
૧૮તારા હૃદયમાં વીતી ગયેલા ભય વિષે વિચાર આવશે; ખંડણી લેનાર ક્યાં છે? તોલનાર ક્યાં છે? બુરજોની ગણના કરનાર ક્યાં છે?
19 The fierce people, shalt thou not see, —The people of too deep a lip to be understood, of too barbarous a tongue for thee to comprehend.
૧૯જે લોકોની બોલી કળી શકાય નહિ એવી ગૂઢ છે, જેઓની ભાષા સમજાય નહિ એવી છે, તે ક્રૂર લોકોને તું ફરી જોશે નહિ.
20 Look thou on Zion, the city of our appointed feast, —Thine own eyes, shall see Jerusalem—A home of comfort A tent which shall not be packed up—Whose pins shall not be pulled out, for ever, And none of, whose cords, shall be broken.
૨૦સિયોન જે આપણા પર્વોનું નગર છે તેને જો; તારી આંખો યરુશાલેમને વિશ્રામના નિવાસસ્થાન જેવું, જેનો તંબુ ઉખેડવામાં આવશે નહિ, જેની મેખો સર્વકાળ માટે કઢાશે નહિ અને જેની દોરીઓ તૂટશે નહિ, તેવા તંબુ જેવું થયેલું જોશે.
21 But, there shall Yahweh be our majestic one, A place of rivers—streams broad on both hands, Wherein shall go no galley with oars, Neither shall majestic ship traverse it;
૨૧ત્યાં તો યહોવાહ જે પરાક્રમી છે તે પહોળી નદીઓ અને નાળાંને સ્થાને આપણી સાથે હશે. શત્રુની હલેસાવાળી નાવ તેમાં જનાર નથી અને મોટાં વહાણો તેમાં પસાર થવાનાં નથી.
22 For, Yahweh is our judge, Yahweh, is our lawgiver, —Yahweh, is our king, He will save us!
૨૨કેમ કે યહોવાહ આપણા ન્યાયાધીશ, યહોવાહ આપણા નિયમ આપનાર, યહોવાહ આપણા રાજા છે; તે આપણને બચાવશે.
23 Loosed are thy ropes, —They cannot strengthen the socket of their mast They have not unfurled a sail Now, can be apportioned spoil, in abundance, The lame, have captured prey!
૨૩શત્રુના વહાણનાં દોરડાં ઢીલાં પડી ગયા છે; તેઓ કૂવાથંભ બરાબર સજ્જડ રાખી શક્યા નહિ; તેઓ સઢ પ્રસારી શક્યા નહિ; ત્યારે લૂંટફાટમાં લૂંટ પુષ્કળ વહેંચાય; જે લંગડા હતા તેઓને પણ લૂંટ મળી.
24 Neither shall the inhabitant say. I am sick, —the people who dwell therein, have been forgiven iniquity.
૨૪હું માંદો છું, એવું કોઈ પણ રહેવાસી કહેશે નહિ; તેમાં વસનાર લોકોની દુષ્ટતા માફ કરવામાં આવશે.
