Isaiah 3
1 For lo! the Lord, Yahweh of hosts, removing from Jerusalem and from Judah, The stay and staff, —The whole stay of bread, And the whole stay of water:
১দেখ, প্রভু, বাহিনীদের সদাপ্রভু যিরূশালেম ও যিহূদা থেকে নির্ভরতা ও লাঠি, সম্পূর্ণ রুটি সরবরাহ এবং সম্পূর্ণ জল সরবরাহ দূর করবেন;
2 Man of might and man of war, —Judge and prophet And diviner and elder;
২বীর, যোদ্ধা, বিচারক, ভাববাদী, পূর্বলক্ষণ পাঠক, প্রাচীন;
3 Captain of fifty, and favourite; And counsellor and skilled artificer, And master of magical formulas;
৩পঞ্চাশ সৈন্যের সেনাপতি ও সম্মানিত লোক, পরামর্শদাতা, অভিজ্ঞ কারিগর এবং দক্ষ যোদ্ধা।
4 And I will appoint boys to be their princes, —And, petulant children, shall rule over them,
৪“আর আমি সাধারণ যুবকদেরকে তাদের নেতা করব, অল্পবয়স্করা তাদের ওপরে শাসন করবে।
5 And the people will, tyrannise, Every man over his fellow-man, And every man over his friend, —And they will rage The boy against, the elder, And the despised, against, the honourable,
৫লোকেরা অত্যাচারিত হবে, প্রত্যেকে একে অন্যের দ্বারা এবং প্রত্যেকে তার প্রতিবেশীর দ্বারা হবে, শিশুরা বৃদ্ধদের বিরুদ্ধে ও সাধারণ লোকেরা সম্মানীয়দের বিরুদ্ধে গর্বিতের কাজ করবে।
6 When a man shall lay hold, on his brother of the house of his father, [saying] —Clothing, hast thou, Become thou our, ruler, This downfall, be under thy hand,
৬মানুষ তার পিতৃকুলের ভাইকে ধরিয়ে দেবে এবং বলবে, ‘তোমার পোশাক আছে, আমাদের শাসনকর্ত্তা হও এবং এই বিনাশের অবস্থা তোমার হাতের অধীনে হোক।’
7 He will swear, in that day, saying—I will take no control, When in mine own house, is neither food nor clothing, —Ye must not set me for a ruler of people!
৭সেই দিন সে চিত্কার করবে এবং বলবে, ‘আমি আরোগ্যকারী হব না; আমার খাবার নেই, পোশাক নেই। তোমরা আমাকে লোকদের শাসনকর্ত্তা কর না’।”
8 For stumbled hath Jerusalem, and, Judah, hath fallen, —Because, their tongue and their doings, are against Yahweh, Provoking his glorious presence,
৮কারণ যিরূশালেম বিনষ্ট এবং যিহূদা পড়ে গেল, কারণ তাদের জিভ ও কাজ সদাপ্রভুর বিরুদ্ধে; যা তাঁর রাজকীয় অধিকার তুচ্ছ করে।
9 The show of their face, hath answered against them, And their sin—like Sodom, have they told, they have not concealed it. Alas for their souls! For they have requited to themselves, calamity.
৯তাদের মুখের চেহারাই তাদের বিরুদ্ধে সাক্ষ্য দেয় এবং তারা সদোমের মত তাদের পাপের কথা বলে, তারা তা ঢাকে না। ধিক তাদের! কারণ তারা নিজেদের উপর সর্বনাশ ডেকে এনেছে।
10 Say ye to the righteous It is well! For the fruit of their doings, shall they eat:
১০তোমরা ধার্মিক লোকদের বল যে, তাদের ভালো হবে, কারণ তারা তাদের কাজের সুফল ভোগ করবে।
11 Alas! for the lawless, it is ill, For what his own hand hath matured, shall be done to him.
১১ধিক দুষ্টকে! তার জন্য এটা খারাপ হবে, কারণ তার হাতের কাজের পরিশোধ তার প্রতি করা যাবে।
12 My people! children, are their tyrants, And, women, rule over them, —My people! they who should lead thee forward, are causing thee to stray, Thy pathways, have they destroyed,
১২আমার লোকেদের, বালকেরা তাদের প্রতি অত্যাচার করে এবং স্ত্রীলোকেরা তাদের ওপরে কর্তৃত্ব করে। হে আমার লোকেরা, তোমাদের নেতারা তোমাদেরকে বিপথে নিয়ে যায় এবং তোমার পথের নির্দেশকে ভ্রান্ত করে।
13 Yahweh hath taken his station to plead, —And is standing to judge peoples:
১৩সদাপ্রভু বিচার স্থানে বিচার করতে উঠেছেন; তিনি তাঁর লোকদেরকে বিচার করতে দাঁড়িয়েছেন।
14 Yahweh, into judgment, will enter, With the elders of his people And their princes, —But ye, have consumed the vineyard, That which hath been robbed from the oppressed, is in your houses.
১৪সদাপ্রভু তাঁর লোকদের প্রাচীনদেরকে ও আধিকারিকদেরকে বিচারে আনবেন, “তোমরা আমার আঙ্গুর ক্ষেত গ্রাস করেছ; গরিবদের জিনিস তোমাদের ঘরে আছে।
15 What right have ye to crush my people, And the faces of the oppressed, to grind? Demandeth My Lord Yahweh of hosts—And Yahweh saith—
১৫কেন তোমরা আমার লোকদের চূর্ণ করছ আর গরিবদের মুখ পিষে ফেলছ?” এই কথা প্রভু বাহিনীদের সদাপ্রভু বলছেন।
16 Because haughty are the daughters of Zion, And they walk with neck thrown back, and wanton eyes, —Tripping along as they go, And with their feet, making, a tinkling sound,
১৬সদাপ্রভু বলছেন যে সিয়োনের মেয়েরা অহঙ্কারী এবং তারা মাথা উঁচু করে হেঁটে বেড়ায় আর চোখ দিয়ে ইশারা করে; কায়দা করে হাঁটে এবং তারা পায়ে ঝুনঝুন শব্দ করে।
17 Therefore will My Lord, smite with leprosy the crown of hair of the daughters of Zion, —And, as for Yahweh, their shame, will he lay bare!
১৭সেইজন্য প্রভু সিয়োনের মেয়েদের মাথায় চর্মরোগ সৃষ্টি করবেন এবং সদাপ্রভু তাদেরকে নেড়া করবেন।
18 In that day, will My Lord remove the finery—of the anklets, and the little suns and the little moons;
১৮সেই দিন প্রভু তাদের সুন্দর অলঙ্কার, মাথার ফিতে, অর্ধচন্দ্রকার অলঙ্কার,
19 the pendants and the bracelets and the veils;
১৯কানের দুল, চুড়ি, ঘোমটা,
20 the chaplets and the armlets and the girdles, and the scent-cases, and the amulets;
২০মাথার অলঙ্কার, পায়ের অলঙ্কার, মাথার ফিতা, সুগন্ধির বাক্স, সৌভাগ্যের কবজ কেড়ে নেবেন
21 the rings and the nose-jewels;
২১তিনি আংটি ও নাকের নথ,
22 the robes, and the over-tunics, and the cloaks and the purses;
২২উৎসবের পোশাক, বড় জামা, শাল, টাকার থলি,
23 and the mirrors and the linen wraps, and the tiaras and the cloaks.
২৩হাত আয়না, ভালো শনের, পাগড়ী আর ওড়না কেড়ে নেবেন।
24 And it shall come to pass—That instead of fragrance, a putrid odour, shall be, And instead of a girdle, an encircling rope, And instead of braided hair, baldness, And instead of a festal robe, a girding of sackcloth, Branding instead of beauty:
২৪সুগন্ধের বদলে দুর্গন্ধ থাকবে এবং কোমর-বন্ধনীর বদলে দড়ি, ভালো করে চুল বাধার বদলে টাকপড়া এবং পোশাকের বদলে চট, আর সৌন্দর্যের বদলে দাগ থাকবে।
25 Thy males, by the sword shall fall, —And, thy mighty men, by the war;
২৫তোমার লোকেরা তরোয়ালের আঘাতে পতিত হবে এবং তোমার শক্তিশালী লোকেরা যুদ্ধে মারা পড়বে।
26 And her gates shall mourn and lament, —And forsaken, on the ground, shall she sit.
২৬সিয়োনের দরজাগুলো বিলাপ ও শোক করবে এবং সে একাকী হবে ও মাটিতে বসবে।
