Isaiah 27
1 In that day, will Yahweh With his sword—the hard and the great and the strong, Bring punishment Upon Leviathan, the fleeing serpent, And upon Leviathan, the crooked serpent, —And will slay the monster which is in the sea.
| در آن روز، خداوند با شمشیر بسیار تیز و برندهٔ خود، لِویاتان را که ماری تیزرو و پیچنده است به سزای اعمالش خواهد رساند و آن اژدها را که در دریاست خواهد کشت. |
2 In that day, A Wine-Vineyard! sing ye unto her:
| در آن روز، خداوند دربارهٔ تاکستان پر بار خود خواهد گفت: |
3 I—Yahweh, am Watching over her, Every moment, will I water her, —Lest anyone injure her, Night and day, will I watch over her.
| «من یهوه، از این تاکستان مراقبت می‌نمایم و مرتب آن را آبیاری می‌کنم. روز و شب مواظب هستم تا کسی به آن آسیبی نرساند. |
4 Fury, have I none, —Oh that there were delivered to me briars and thorns, in battle! I would march in among them I would set fire to them one and all.
| دیگر بر تاکستان خود خشمگین نیستم. اگر ببینم خارها مزاحمش هستند، آنها را یکجا آتش خواهم زد، مگر اینکه دشمنان قوم من تسلیم شوند و از من تقاضای صلح کنند.» |
5 Else, let one lay hold of my protection, Let him make peace with me, —Peace, let him make with me.
6 In coming times, shall Jacob strike root, Israel, shall blossom and bud, —Then shall they fill the face of the world with fruit.
| زمانی خواهد رسید که اسرائیل ریشه خواهد زد، غنچه و شکوفه خواهد آورد و دنیا را از میوه پر خواهد ساخت. |
7 Was it, with the smiting of his smiter, that he smote him? Or as with the slaying of his slayer, was he slain?
| خداوند به اندازه‌ای که دشمنان قوم اسرائیل را تنبیه کرده است این قوم را تنبیه نکرده است. |
8 By driving her away—by dismissing her, wouldest thou contend with her? He removed her by his rough wind in, a day of east wind.
| او برای مجازات اسرائیل، آنها را از سرزمینشان به دیار دور تبعید کرد گویی باد شرقی وزید و آنان را با خود برد. |
9 Therefore hereby, shall a propitiatory—covering be put over the iniquity of Jacob, And all, this, is the fruit of taking away his sin, —When he maketh all the stones of an altar like chalk-stones that soon crumble, Sacred Stems and Sun Images, shall not arise.
| او این کار را کرد تا گناه قوم اسرائیل را کفاره کند؛ و این ثمرۀ کامل پاک شدن گناه آنها خواهد بود. وقتی او تمام سنگهای مذبح را همچون سنگ آهک تکه‌تکه کند، ستونهای اشیره و مذبحهای بخور دیگر برپا نخواهند ماند. |
10 For the fortified city, is solitary, The dwelling forsaken and left as a wilderness, —There, shall the calf feed, And, there, lie down And shall consume the branches thereof:
| شهرهای مستحکم اسرائیل خالی از سکنه شده و مانند بیابان متروک گردیده‌اند. در آنجا گاوها می‌چرند و شاخ و برگ درختان را می‌خورند. |
11 When the cut-off boughs thereof are dry, they shall be broken to pieces, Women, coming, are kindling it! For it is not a people of understanding, For this cause, Will he that made him, not have compassion upon him, And, he that formed him, will shew him no favour.
| وقتی شاخه‌های درختان خشک می‌شوند، از درخت می‌افتند و زنها آنها را جمع کرده، در اجاق می‌سوزانند. این قوم فهم ندارد، پس صانع و خالق آنها بر آنها رحم و شفقت نخواهد کرد. |
12 And it shall come to pass, in that day, That Yahweh will beat off his fruit from the stream of the River ["Euphrates"], unto the torrent-valley of Egypt, —And, ye, shall be picked up, one by one O sons of Israel.
| اما زمانی خواهد رسید که خداوند مانند کسی که خوشه‌های گندم را دانه‌دانه برمی‌چیند و از پوستش جدا می‌کند، بنی‌اسرائیل را از رود فرات تا مرز مصر جمع خواهد کرد. |
13 And it shall come to pass in that day, That there shall be a blowing with a great horn, Then shall come in Such as have wandered in the land of Assyria, And such as have been outcasts in the land of Egypt, —And they shall bow themselves down unto Yahweh In the holy mountain, In Jerusalem.
| در آن روز، شیپور بزرگ نواخته خواهد شد و بسیاری از قوم یهود که به آشور و مصر تبعید شده‌اند باز خواهند گشت و خداوند را در اورشلیم بر کوه مقدّسش پرستش خواهند کرد. |
