Isaiah 27
1 In that day, will Yahweh With his sword—the hard and the great and the strong, Bring punishment Upon Leviathan, the fleeing serpent, And upon Leviathan, the crooked serpent, —And will slay the monster which is in the sea.
An jenem Tage wird Jehovah mit Seinem harten und großen und gewaltigen Schwert heimsuchen den Leviathan, die längliche Schlange, und Leviathan, die gewundene Schlange, und erwürgen die Walfische im Meer.
2 In that day, A Wine-Vineyard! sing ye unto her:
An jedem Tage singet vom Weinberg des Weines.
3 I—Yahweh, am Watching over her, Every moment, will I water her, —Lest anyone injure her, Night and day, will I watch over her.
Ihn bewahre Ich, Jehovah, und tränke ihn alle Augenblicke, daß keiner ihn heimsuche, Nacht und Tag bewahre Ich ihn.
4 Fury, have I none, —Oh that there were delivered to me briars and thorns, in battle! I would march in among them I would set fire to them one and all.
Grimm ist nicht bei Mir. Wer gibt Mir Dornstrauch, Dorngestrüpp in den Streit? Ich greife sie an und entzünde sie insgesamt.
5 Else, let one lay hold of my protection, Let him make peace with me, —Peace, let him make with me.
Oder wenn er erfaßt Meine Stärke, und Frieden mit Mir macht, so mag er Frieden mit Mir machen.
6 In coming times, shall Jacob strike root, Israel, shall blossom and bud, —Then shall they fill the face of the world with fruit.
Die Kommenden läßt Jakob Wurzeln schlagen und Israel wird blühen und sprossen, und die Angesichte der Welt werden voll vom Ertrag.
7 Was it, with the smiting of his smiter, that he smote him? Or as with the slaying of his slayer, was he slain?
Schlug Er es denn, wie er seinen Schläger schlug? Ward er erwürgt, wie seine Erwürgten er erwürgte?
8 By driving her away—by dismissing her, wouldest thou contend with her? He removed her by his rough wind in, a day of east wind.
Nach dem Maße, durch Fortsendung haderst du mit Ihm. Er besann Sich über Seinen harten Wind am Tage des Ostwindes.
9 Therefore hereby, shall a propitiatory—covering be put over the iniquity of Jacob, And all, this, is the fruit of taking away his sin, —When he maketh all the stones of an altar like chalk-stones that soon crumble, Sacred Stems and Sun Images, shall not arise.
Darum ist dadurch Jakobs Missetat gesühnt, und dies ist alle Frucht: Wegnahme seiner Sünde, daß er alle Steine des Altares macht wie zerstreute Kalksteine. Nimmer erstehen werden die Ascheren und die Sonnensäulen.
10 For the fortified city, is solitary, The dwelling forsaken and left as a wilderness, —There, shall the calf feed, And, there, lie down And shall consume the branches thereof:
Denn die befestigte Stadt ist einsam, der Wohnort verstoßen und verlassen wie die Wüste; das Kalb weidet dort und lagert dort, und frißt ab das Geäste.
11 When the cut-off boughs thereof are dry, they shall be broken to pieces, Women, coming, are kindling it! For it is not a people of understanding, For this cause, Will he that made him, not have compassion upon him, And, he that formed him, will shew him no favour.
Ist ihre Ernte vertrocknet, so kommen Weiber, brechen sie ab es anzuzünden; denn kein einsichtsvolles Volk ist es, darum erbarmt Sich nicht, Der es gemacht, und Der es bildete, wird ihm nicht gnädig.
12 And it shall come to pass, in that day, That Yahweh will beat off his fruit from the stream of the River ["Euphrates"], unto the torrent-valley of Egypt, —And, ye, shall be picked up, one by one O sons of Israel.
Und geschehen wird an jenem Tage, daß Jehovah die Ähren abschlägt vom Flusse bis zum Bache Ägyptens, und ihr zusammengelesen werdet, der eine zum anderen, ihr Söhne Israels.
13 And it shall come to pass in that day, That there shall be a blowing with a great horn, Then shall come in Such as have wandered in the land of Assyria, And such as have been outcasts in the land of Egypt, —And they shall bow themselves down unto Yahweh In the holy mountain, In Jerusalem.
Und an jenem Tag geschieht, daß man in die große Posaune stößt, und daß die Verlorenen im Lande Aschur und die Verstoßenen im Lande Ägypten kommen und werden anbeten, Jehovah, auf dem Berge Seiner Heiligkeit in Jerusalem.
