< Hosea 14 >

1 Return thou, O Israel, unto Yahweh thy God, —for thou hast stumbled by thine iniquity.
Israel aw, na Pathen Yahweh taengla mael laeh. Namah kathaesainah dongah ni na paloe coeng.
2 Take with you words, and return to Yahweh: say unto him—Wholly, shalt thou take away iniquity, Accept, then, with favour, and we will make good the boldness of our lips!
Ol te namah taengla lo lamtah BOEIPA taengla mael laeh. Amah te, “Thaesainah cungkuem he na phueih dongah hnothen he doe lamtah ka hmuilai vaito te neh kan thuung mai eh.
3 Assyria, shall not save us, Upon horses, will we not ride, neither will we say any more—Our god! to the work of our own hands! For, in thee, shall the fatherless, find compassion.
Assyria loh kaimih n'khang moenih, marhang dongah ka ngol uh mahpawh. Namah ah cadah a haidam dongah kaimih kut kah bibi taengah kaimih kah Pathen koep ka ti uh mahpawh,” ti uh.
4 I will heal their apostacy, I will love them freely, —for mine anger, hath turned, from them.
Amih hnukpoh te ka hoeih sak vetih amih te kothoh neh ka lungnah ni. Ka thintoek he anih lamloh mael coeng.
5 I will become as the dew unto Israel, he shall break forth as the lily, —and he shall strike his roots as Lebanon:
Israel taengah buemtui la ka om vetih tuilipai bangla pailum ni. Lebanon bangla a yung a pael ni.
6 His branches, shall spread, that, like an olive-tree, may be his fresh beauty, —and his fragrance, like Lebanon.
A dawn yam vetih a mueithennah te olive bangla om ni. A bo khaw Lebanon bangla ul ni.
7 They who dwell in his shade shall again show life like the corn, and break forth as the vine, —and, the remembrance of him, shall be like the wine of Lebanon.
Mael uh vetih a hlipkhup kah khosa rhoek tah cangpai neh hing uh ni. Misur bangla saitlim vetih anih poekkoepnah te Lebanon misurtui bangla om ni.
8 Ephraim [saith] —What to me any more are idols? I, have answered, and have closely observed him, I, am like a fir-tree that is green, From me, is thy fruit found.
Ephraim, muei te kai hamla balam voel nim? Kai ka doo vetih anih ka mae ni. Kai tah hmaical hing banghui ni. Na thaih te kai lamloh tueng coeng.
9 Who is wise, that he may understand these things? intelligent, that he may take knowledge of them? For, straightforward, are the ways of Yahweh, and, the righteous, shall travel therein, but, transgressors, shall stumble therein.
Unim aka cueih tih he he a yakming lah ve? A yakming daengah ni BOEIPA kah a thuem longpuei te a ming eh. Aka dueng rhoek te a khuiah pongpa uh dae boekoek rhoek tah a khuiah paloe uh.
