< Hebrews 1 >

1 Whereas, in many parts and in many ways of old, God spake unto the fathers, in the prophets,
Bog koji je negda mnogo puta i razliènijem naèinom govorio ocevima preko proroka,
2 At the end of these days, He hath spoken unto us in his Son, —whom he hath appointed heir of all things, through whom also he hath made the ages; (aiōn g165)
govori i nama u pošljedak dana ovijeh preko sina, Kojega postavi našljednika svemu, kroz kojega i svijet stvori. (aiōn g165)
3 Who, being an eradiated brightness of his glory, and an exact representation of his very being, also bearing up all things by the utterance of his power, purification of sins, having achieved, sat down on the right hand of the majesty in high places:
Koji buduæi sjajnost slave i oblièje biæa njegova, i noseæi sve u rijeèi sile svoje, uèinivši sobom oèišæenje grijeha našijeh, sjede s desne strane prijestola velièine na visini,
4 By so much becoming superior to the messengers, by as much as, going beyond them, he hath inherited a more distinguished name.
I toliko bolji posta od anðela koliko preslavnije ime od njihova dobi.
5 For unto which of the messengers said he at any time—My Son, art, thou, I, this day have begotten thee? and again—I, will become, his father, and, he, shall become my Son?
Jer kome od anðela reèe kad: sin moj ti si, ja te danas rodih? I opet: ja æu mu biti otac, i on æe mi biti sin.
6 But, whensoever he again introduceth the first-begotten into the habitable earth, he saith—And let all God’s messengers worship him!
I opet uvodeæi prvorodnoga u svijet govori: i da mu se poklone svi anðeli Božiji.
7 Even as to the messengers, indeed, he saith—Who maketh his messengers, winds, and his ministers of state, a fiery flame;
Tako i anðelima govori: koji èini anðele svoje duhove, i sluge svoje plamen ognjeni.
8 but, as to the Son, —Thy throne, O God, is unto times age-abiding, and—A sceptre of equity, is the sceptre of his kingdom, (aiōn g165)
A sinu: prijestol je tvoj, Bože, va vijek vijeka; palica je pravde palica carstva tvoga. (aiōn g165)
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated lawlessness, —For this cause, hath God, thy God, anointed thee with the oil of exultation, beyond thy partners;
Omiljela ti je pravda, i omrzao si na bezakonje: toga radi pomaza te, Bože, Bog tvoj uljem radosti veæma od drugova tvojijeh.
10 and—Thou, by way of beginning, Lord, the earth, didst found, and, the works of thy hands, are the heavens, —
I opet: ti si, Gospode, u poèetku osnovao zemlju, i nebesa su djela ruku tvojijeh:
11 They, shall perish, but, thou, abidest still, and, all, as a mantle, shall be worn out,
Ona æe proæi, a ti ostaješ: i sva æe ostarjeti kao haljina,
12 And, as if a robe, wilt thou fold them up, —as a mantle, and they shall be changed; but, thou, art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
I saviæeš ih kao haljinu, i izmijeniæe se: a ti si onaj isti, i tvojijeh godina neæe nestati.
13 But, to which of the messengers, hath he said, at any time—Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thy foes thy footstool?
A kome od anðela reèe kad: sjedi meni s desne strane dok položim neprijatelje tvoje podnožje nogama tvojima?
14 Are they not, all, spirits, doing public service, —for ministry, sent forth, for the sake of them who are about to inherit salvation?
Nijesu li svi službeni duhovi koji su poslani na službu onima koji æe naslijediti spasenije?
