< Galatians 5 >

1 With her freedom, Christ hath made you, free. Stand fast, therefore, and do not, again, with a yoke of servitude, be held fast!
Mamih kah poenghalnah ham Khrih loh n'loeih sak dongah khak pai lamtah sal kah hnamkun te koep ngai boeh.
2 See! I, Paul, say unto you—if ye be getting circumcised, Christ will profit you, nothing.
Kai, Paul loh nangmih taengah, “Yahvin na rhet uh pueng atah Khrih he nangmih ham a phu om mahpawh,” ka ti coeng he.
3 Yea, I bear solemn witness again, unto every man getting circumcised, —that he is, a debtor, to do, the whole law.
Te phoeiah yahvin aka rhet hlang boeih tah olkhueng te boeih vai ham laiba om tila koep ka laipai.
4 Ye have been set aside from Christ, ye who, by law, are to be declared righteous, —out of his favour, ye have fallen;
Khrih lamkah naka nong tih olkhueng neh aka tang long tah lungvatnah na hlong coeng.
5 For, we, in Spirit, by faith, for a hope of righteousness, are ardently waiting, —
Mamih loh duengnah dongkah ngaiuepnah te tangnah mueihla neh n'lamtawn uh.
6 For, in Christ [Jesus], neither, circumcision, availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith, through love, energising.
Te dongah Jesuh Khrih ah yahvinrhet khaw tloe pawh, pumdul khaw pakhat pataeng a tloe moenih. Tedae tangnah tah lungnah dongah pongthoo ta.
7 Ye were running well: —who hath hindered you, that, by truth, ye are not to be persuaded?
Balh na yong uh tih oltak te ngaitang pawt ham unim nangmih aka mah.
8 The persuasion, [is] not of him that calleth you: —
Hloihhlamnah tah nangmih aka khue taeng lamkah moenih.
9 A little leaven, leaveneth, the whole lump.
Tolrhu thamap ca vaidam hlom boeih a rhoi sak.
10 I, am persuaded regarding you, in the Lord—that, for nothing else, ye will have any regard; but, he that is troubling you, shall bear the sentence, —whosoever he may be.
Kai loh Boeipa dongah nangmih kan pangtung thil te a tloe la poek uh boeh. Tedae nangmih aka hinghuen tah u khaw om mai saeh laitloeknah a phueih bitni.
11 I, however, brethren—if, circumcision, I yet proclaim, why am I yet persecuted? After all, the stumbling-block of the cross hath been set aside.
Tedae ka manuca rhoek aw, yahvinrhetnah ka hoe pueng atah balae tih vawk n'hnaemtaek. Te dongah thangkui long tah thinglam dongkah ni a hmil.
12 Oh! that they would even leave off in dismay, who are unsettling you!
Nangmih aka palet rhoek tah hlueng pataeng ka ngaih.
13 For, ye, on a footing of freedom, were called, brethren, —only, [turn] not your freedom into an occasion to the flesh, but, by means of your love, be serving one another;
Te dongah manuca rhoek, poenghalnah khuila nangmih n'khue. Tedae rhoidoengnah he pumsa rhoidoengnah dawk ham moenih ta. Lungnah lamloh khat neh khat salbi uh.
14 For, the whole law, in one word, is summed up—[namely] in this, —Thou shall love thy neighbour as thyself.
Olkhueng boeih he ol pakhat dongah soep coeng. Te khuiah, “Na imben te namah bangla lungnah,” a ti.
15 If, however, one another, ye bite and devour, take heed lest, by one another, ye be consumed!
Tedae khat neh khat na nget uh tih na yoop uh thae atah ana noek uh, khat khat neh na hlawp uh thae mahpawt nim.
16 I say, moreover—by Spirit, be walking, and, fleshly coveting, ye will in nowise fulfil;
Te phoeiah Mueihla neh pongpa uh lamtah pumsa hoehhamnah te hoem uh loengloeng boeh ka ti.
17 For, the flesh, coveted against the Spirit, but, the Spirit, against the flesh, —for, these, unto one another, are opposed, lest, whatsoever things ye chance to desire, these, ye should be doing!
Pumsa ngaih loh mueihla te a koek tih Mueihla loh pumsa te a koek. Te tah khat neh khat kingkalh uh. Te dongah na ngaih pawt te na saii uh.
18 And, if, by Spirit, ye are being led, ye are not under law.
Tedae Mueihla loh m'mawt atah olkhueng hmuiah na om uh pawh.
19 Manifest, however, are the works of the flesh, which, indeed, are—fornication, impurity, wantonness,
Pumsa kah khoboe tah mingpha la om coeng. Te rhoek tah Cukhalnah, rhongingnah, omthenbawn,
20 idolatry, enchantment, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of wrath, factions, divisions, parties,
Mueibawknah, rhunsi khuehnah, thunkhanah, tohhaemnah, kohlopnah, thinsanah, koevoeinah, paekboenah, buhlaelh,
21 envyings, drunkenness, revellings; —and such things as these: as to which I forewarn you, even as I have forewarned you, —that, they who such things as these do practise, shall not inherit, God’s kingdom.
uethnetnah, rhuihahnah, omngaihlawn he ni. Hekah phek la om. Tekah te thui tangtae bangla te bang kho aka boe rhoek loh Pathen kah ram pang mahpawh tila nangmih taengah ka thui.
22 But, the fruit of the Spirit, is—love, joy, peace, long-suffering, graciousness, goodness, faithfulness,
Tedae Mueihla kah a thaih tah lungnah, omngaihnah, rhoepnah, thinsennah, rhennah, boethennah, tangnah,
23 meekness, self-control; —against such things as these, there is no law.
muelhtuetnah, kuemsuemnah ni. Tebang te olkhueng loh a kingkalh om pawh.
24 And, they who are of Christ Jesus, have crucified, the flesh, with its susceptibilities and covetings.
Tedae Jesuh Khrih kah rhoek long tah pumsa patangnah neh hoehhamnah te hmaih a tai coeng.
25 If we live by Spirit, by Spirit, let us also walk.
Mueihla neh n'hing uh atah Mueihla lamloh m'vai uh van ni.
26 Let us not become vain-glorious, —one another, challenging, one another, envying.
Hoemdawk la khat neh khat takloh neh, khat neh khat uethnet neh om uh boel sih.
