Ezekiel 6

1 Then came the word of Yahweh. unto me saying,

Me fue dirigida la palabra de Yahvé que dijo:

2 Son of man, Set thy face against the mountains of Israel, — and prophesy unto them;

“Hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro hacia los montes de Israel, y profetiza contra ellos.

3 and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear ye the word of My Lord Yahweh, — Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh- To the mountains and to the hills to the hollows and to the valleys, - Behold me! I, am bringing upon you a sword, And I will destroy your high places;

Dirás: ¡Oh montes de Israel! escuchad la palabra del Señor, Yahvé: Así dice el Señor, Yahvé, a los montes y a los collados, a las hondonadas y a los valles: He aquí que Yo voy a traer sobre vosotros la espada y destruiré vuestros lugares altos.

4 And your altars shall be laid waste, And your sun-pillars shall be broken in pieces, — And I will cause your slain to fall before your manufactured gods;

Serán derribados vuestros altares y quebradas vuestras imágenes del sol, y (os) haré caer muertos delante de vuestros ídolos.

5 And I will lay the carcases of the sons of Israel before their manufactured gods, — And will scatter your bones round about your altars.

Y arrojaré los cadáveres de los hijos de Israel delante de sus ídolos, y esparciré vuestros huesos en torno a vuestros altares.

6 In all your dwelling-places, The cities, shall be laid waste, and, The high places, shall be made desolate, To the end your altars may be laid waste and become desolate. And your manufactured gods be broken in pieces and cease, And your sun-pillars be cut down, And your handiworks be abolished.

En todos los lugares donde moráis, serán destruidas las ciudades y devastados los lugares altos, a fin de que queden asolados vuestros altares, y vengan a ser una desolación, y sean quebrados y aniquilados vuestros ídolos, y sean rotas vuestras imágenes del sol, y se acaben vuestras obras.

7 And the slain shall fall in your midst, So shall ye know that I am Yahweh.

Entonces cuando caigan vuestros muertos en medio de vosotros, conoceréis que Yo soy Yahvé.

8 Yet will I leave a remnant: In that ye shall have such as are escaped of the sword throughout the nations, when ye are scattered throughout the lands.

Mas os dejaré un resto de los que entre las naciones escapen a la espada, cuando andéis dispersos por los países.

9 Then shall they who have escaped of you remember me, among the nations whither they have been carried captive, In that I have broken their adulterous heart, which hath turned aside from me, And their eyes which have adulterously gone after their manufactured gods, So shall they become loathsome in their own sight, for the wicked things which they have done in all their abominations.

Y vuestros escapados se acordarán de Mí en medio de las naciones adonde fueren llevados cautivos, cuando Yo quebrante su corazón fornicario que se apartó de Mí, y sus ojos adúlteros que fueron tras sus ídolos. Entonces tendrán asco de sí mismos, a causa de las maldades que han cometido, (manchándose) con todas sus abominaciones.

10 Then shall they know that, I, Yahweh, —not in vain, had threatened to bring upon them this calamity.

Y conocerán que Yo soy Yahvé. No en vano he dicho que les mandaré estos males.

11 Thus saith My Lord. Yahweh, Smite with thy hand, and stamp with thy foot and say, Alas! regarding all the wicked abominations of the house of Israel, —in that by sword, by famine, and by pestilence, shall they fall:

Así dice el Señor, Yahvé: Da golpes con tu mano, y golpes con tu pie y di: ¡Ay! ¡Cuán grandes son todas las abominaciones de la casa de Israel, por las cuales caerán a espada y de hambre y de peste!

12 He that is far off by pestilence, shall die and He that is near by the sword, shall fall, and He that is left and is besieged by the famine, shall die; Thus will I make an end of mine indignation against them.

El que esté lejos, de peste morirá, y el que este cerca, a espada caerá; y el que quedare para sufrir el sitio, de hambre morirá; así desahogaré en ellos mi ira.

13 So shall ye know that I, am Yahweh, In that their slain are in the midst of their manufactured gods, on every side of their altars, — Upon every high hill In all the tops of the mountains and Under every green tree and Under every tangled oak, The place where they offered a satisfying odour to all their manufactured gods.

Y conoceréis que Yo soy Yahvé, cuando sus muertos yazcan en medio de sus ídolos, en derredor de sus altares, en cada colina elevada, en la cima de todos los montes, debajo de todo árbol frondoso y debajo de toda encina tupida; lugares donde ofrecían olor grato a todos sus ídolos.

14 Thus will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land a greater waste and devastation than the desert toward Diblah throughout all their dwelling-places, - And they shall know that, I, am Yahweh.

Extenderé mi mano contra ellos, y dejaré el país desolado y devastado desde el desierto hasta Dibla en todos los lugares donde habitan; y conocerán que Yo soy Yahvé.”
