Ezekiel 32

1 And it came to pass, in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month on the first of the month, that the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:

El año duodécimo, el día primero del duodécimo mes, me fue dirigida la palabra de Yahvé, que dijo:

2 Son of man Take up a dirge over Pharaoh king of Egypt, and thou shalt say unto him. The young lion of the nations, thou didst deem thyself, - Whereas thou, wast like the crocodile in the seas, And didst cause thy streams to burst forth And didst trouble the waters with thy feet, And foul their rivers.

“Hijo de hombre, entona una elegía sobre el Faraón, rey de Egipto y dile: Eras cual leoncillo entre las gentes, eras como un cocodrilo en las aguas; te revolvías en tus ríos, enturbiando las aguas con tus pies y ensuciando sus corrientes.

3 Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh, Therefore will I spread over thee my net, With a gathered host of many peoples, -And they shall bring thee up in my net;

Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Tenderé sobre ti mi red en medio de un concurso de muchos pueblos, que te sacarán con mi red.

4 And I will stretch thee out on the land, Over the face of the field, will I fling thee, - And will cause to settle upon thee all the birds of the heavens, And will satiate with thee the wild beasts of all the earth;

Te arrojaré en tierra te extenderé sobre el campo; haré posar sobre ti todas las aves del cielo, y saciaré de ti a las bestias de toda la tierra.

5 And I will lay thy flesh on the mountains, — And fill the valleys, with thy blood;

Pondré tus carnes sobre los montes y llenaré de tu carroña los valles.

6 And will soak the earth with thy blood, amongst the mountains, - And the channels shall be filled with thee.

Con tu sangre regaré tu fétida tierra, hasta la altura de las montañas; y se llenarán de ti las hondonadas.

7 And when I quench thee, I will cover the heavens, And obscure their stars, — The sun—with a cloud, will I cover, And the moon shall not shed her light;

Al extinguirte cubriré el cielo y oscureceré sus estrellas; taparé el sol con una nube y la luna ya no despedirá su luz.

8 As for all the light-bearers in the heavens, I will obscure them over thee— And will stretch out darkness over thy land, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.

A causa de ti vestiré de luto a todos los luminares que brillan en el cielo, y cubriré de tinieblas tu tierra, dice Yahvé, el Señor.

9 And I will aggrieve the heart of many peoples, - when I bring them who are broken off from thee among the nations, unto lands which thou hast not known.

Afligiré el corazón de muchos pueblos, cuando haga llegar (la noticia de) tu ruina a las naciones, a países que no conocías.

10 Yea I will cause amazement over thee unto many peoples And the hair of their kings shall stand on end over thee, when I brandish my sword over their faces, - And they shall tremble every moment every man for his own life, In the day of thy fall.

Haré que por ti queden atónitos numerosos pueblos, y por ti se estremecerán de terror sus reyes, cuando Yo esgrima ante ellos mi espada; temblarán sin cesar, cada cual por su vida, en el día de tu caída.

11 For thus saith My Lord, Yahweh: -the sword of the king of Babylon shall reach thee.

Porque así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Vendrá sobre ti la espada del rey de Babilonia.

12 With the swords of mighty men, will I cause thy multitude to fall, Terrible ones of the nations all of them!-And they shall spoil the pride of Egypt, And all her multitude shall be destroyed,

Abatiré tu multitud con la espada de los valientes; son todos ellos los más feroces de los pueblos; destruirán el orgullo de Egipto, y será deshecha toda su multitud.

13 And I will cause to perish all her beasts, from beside the many waters, — And the foot of man shall not trouble them any more, Nor shall hoof of beast, trouble them.

Exterrninaré todas sus bestias junto a las copiosas aguas, y no las enturbiará más pie de hombre, ni pezuña de bestia.

14 Then, will I make their waters subside, And, their streams—like oil, will I cause to flow, — Declareth My Lord, Yahweh.

Entonces volveré limpias sus aguas; y haré correr sus ríos como aceite, dice Yahvé, el Señor.

15 When I make the land of Egypt an astonishment A land laid bare of its fulness, When I cut off all that dwell therein, Then shall they know that, I am Yahweh.

Cuando Yo convierta la tierra de Egipto en desierto, despojando el país de cuanto contiene, e hiera a todos sus habitantes, conocerán que Yo soy Yahvé.

16 A dirge, it is And they shall chant it, The daughters of the nations Shall chant it: Over Egypt and over all her multitude, Shall they chant it, Declareth My Lord, Yahweh.

Esta es la elegía que se cantará. La entonarán las hijas de las naciones; la cantarán sobre Egipto y toda su multitud”, dice Yahvé, el Señor.

17 And it came to pass in the twelfth year on the fifteenth of the month, that the word of Yahweh came unto me saying:

El año duodécimo, el quince del mes, me fue dirigida la palabra de Yahvé, que dijo:

18 Son of man Wail thou over the multitude of Egypt and cause it to descend—her and the daughters of the famous nations—into the earth below with them who descend into the pit.

“Hijo de hombre, compón un canto lúgubre sobre la multitud de Egipto, y arrójala, a ella y a las hijas de las naciones poderosas, a las profundidades de la tierra, con los que bajan a la fosa.

19 Than whom, art thou more precious? Descend and be laid low with the uncircumcised:

¿A quién superas (ahora) en hermosura? ¡Baja y acuéstate entre los incircuncisos!

20 Into the midst of them who were thrust through by the sword, let them fall, -To the sword, hath she been delivered up, Lay ye hold of her and all her multitudes.

Caerán ellos en medio de muertos a espada; entregada será (Egipto) al cuchillo; ¡sacadla fuera, con todas sus multitudes!

21 The chiefs of the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of hades, with his helpers, - They have descended They have lain down. The uncircumcised! Thrust through by the sword. (Sheol h7585)

En medio del scheol le dirigirán la palabra los más poderosos de los potentados, así como a sus auxiliadores (diciendo): «Han descendido, yacen los incircuncisos, traspasados por la espada». (Sheol h7585)

22 There, is Assyria with all her gathered host, Round about him, are his graves, All of them thrust through, The fallen by the sword:

Allí se halla Asur, con toda su gente, en torno suyo están sus sepulcros; todos yacen traspasados, caídos a cuchillo, en sepulcros situados en lo más hondo de la fosa.

23 Whose graves have been set In the recesses of the pit, And so her gathered host is round about her grave, All of them thrust through. Fallen by the sword, Who caused terror in the land of the living.

Alrededor de su sepulcro está toda su gente, todos ellos traspasados, caídos a cuchillo, los que fueron el terror de la tierra de los vivientes.

24 There, is Persia with all her multitude, round about her grave, — All of them, thrust through The fallen by the sword Who have descended, uncircumcised into the earth below Who made themselves a terror in the land of the living, And so they have borne their confusion with them who descend into the pit:

Allí está Elam, con toda su multitud en torno a su sepulcro; todos ellos traspasados, caídos a cuchillo, que descendieron incircuncisos a las profundidades de la tierra. Los que fueron el terror de la tierra de los vivientes, llevan su ignominia con los bajados a la fosa.

25 In the midst of them who were thrust through, have they have placed a couch for her with all her multitude, Round about it, are her graves, -All of them, uncircumcised. Thrust through with the sword. For that their terror was caused in the land of the living. And so they have borne their confusion, with them who descend into the pit, In the midst of them who were thrust through, hath it been placed.

En medio de los traspasados, colocaron su lecho para él y todo su pueblo, en torno a sus sepulcros; todos ellos incircuncisos, pasados a cuchillo. Esparcieron el terror en la tierra de los vivientes; mas llevan (ahora) su ignominia con los bajados a la fosa; yacen en medio de los muertos.

26 There, are Meshech-Tuba and all her multitude, Round about it, are her graves, — All of them uncircumcised, Who were thrust through with the sword, For that they made themselves a terror in the land of the living;

Allí está Mósoc, Tubal y toda su gente, en torno a sus sepulcros, todos ellos incircuncisos, pasados a cuchillo, por haber sido el terror de la tierra de los vivientes.

27 Therefore shall they not lie with the mighty men The fallen ones from age-past times, Who descended into hades with their weapons of war And their swords were placed under their heads. But their iniquities have come upon their bones Because of the terror of the mighty in the land of the living. (Sheol h7585)

Y no yacen entre los héroes de los incircuncisos, que cayeron y descendieron al scheol con sus armas de guerra, la espada debajo de sus cabezas, y el escudo sobre sus huesos, por haber sido el terror de los fuertes en la tierra de los vivientes. (Sheol h7585)

28 Thou, therefore in the midst of the uncircumcised, shalt be overthrown. And shalt lie low with them who were thrust through by the sword.

Así también tú serás quebrantado con los incircuncisos; y yacerás con los muertos a espada.

29 There, are Edom her kings and all her princes, Who have been delivered up in their might. With them who were thrust through by he sword, — They with the uncircumcised, shall lie low. Even with them who descend into the pit.

Allí está Edom, sus reyes y todos sus príncipes, que a pesar de sus hazañas han sido puestos entre los muertos a cuchillo, yacen entre los incircuncisos, entre los que descendieron a la fosa.

30 There, are the princes of the North, all of them, and all the Zidonians, Who have descended with them who were thrust through. By reason of the terror they caused, of their might, are they ashamed, So they have lain down uncircumcised. With them who were thrust through by the sword, And they have bowed their confusion with them who descend into the pit.

Allí están los príncipes del Norte, todos ellos y todos los sidonios; bajaron con los traspasados por la espada, a pesar del terror que inspiraba su fortaleza. Están confundidos y yacen, incircuncisos, con los pasados a cuchillo, llevando su ignominia con los bajados a la fosa.

31 Them, shall Pharaoh see, and be grieved over all his multitude, — Thrust through with the sword, shall be Pharaoh and all his army! Declareth My Lord, Yahweh.

Al verlos, el Faraón se consolará de toda su multitud. Muertos a espada están el Faraón y todo su ejército, dice Yahvé, el Señor.

32 For I have suffered his terror to be in the land of the living, Therefore shall be laid low In the midst of the uncircumcised With them who were thrust through by the sword, Pharaoh and all his multitude! Declareth My Lord, Yahweh.

Pues aunque le puse por terror en la tierra de los vivientes, el Faraón yacerá entre los incircuncisos, entre los pasados a cuchillo; él y toda su mucha gente” —oráculo de Yahvé.
