Ezekiel 29
1 In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the twelfth of the month, came the word of Yahweh unto me, saying:
Im zehnten Jahr, im zehnten, am zwölften des Monats, geschah an mich das Wort Jehovahs, sprechend:
2 Son of man, Set thy face against Pharaoh, king of Egypt, And prophesy against him, and against Egypt all of it:
Menschensohn, richte dein Angesicht wider Pharao, Ägyptens König, und weissage wider ihn und wider ganz Ägypten.
3 Speak, and thou shalt say— Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh Behold me! against thee O Pharaoh king of Egypt, The great Crocodile that lieth along in the midst of his rivers: Who saith— My river is, mine own, Since I myself made it me!
Rede und sprich: So spricht der Herr Jehovah: Siehe, Ich bin wider dich, Pharao, Ägyptens König, du großes Ungetüm, das inmitten seiner Ströme sich lagert, das spricht: Mein Strom ist es, und ich habe mich gemacht,
4 Therefore will I put hooks in thy jaws, And cause the fish of thy rivers to stick fast in thy scales, - And will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, And, all the fish of thy rivers, to thy scales, shall stick fast;
Und Ich lege Haken in deine Kinnbacken und lasse die Fische deiner Ströme an deinen Schuppen haften und ziehe dich herauf aus deiner Ströme Mitte, und alle Fische deiner Ströme, die an deinen Schuppen haften,
5 And I will stretch thee out towards the desert, Thee and all the fish of thy rivers, On the face of the field, shalt thou lie Thou shalt not be carried away nor shalt thou be gathered, To the wild beast of the earth and to the bird of the heavens, have I given thee for food.
Und gebe dich dahin in die Wüste, dich und alle Fische deiner Ströme; auf des Feldes Oberfläche sollst du fallen, nicht gesammelt noch zusammengebracht werden, dem wilden Tiere des Landes und dem Gevögel der Himmel gebe Ich dich zur Speise.
6 So shall all the inhabitants of Egypt know that I, am Yahweh, Because they were a staff of reed to the house of Israel:
Und alle, die in Ägypten wohnen, sollen wissen, daß Ich Jehovah bin, weil sie eine Stütze von Rohr waren dem Hause Israel.
7 Whensoever they took hold of thee by the hand, thou didst run through, and tear open for them every hand, —And whensoever they leaned upon thee, thou didst break, and caused all their loins to halt.
Wenn sie dich faßten mit der Hand, ward er zerquetscht und durchstachst ihnen die ganze Schulter; und wenn sie sich auf dich stützten, brachst du und machtest alle die Lenden stehen.
8 Therefore, Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, Behold me! bringing upon thee a sword, - And I will cut off out of thee, man and beast;
Darum spricht der Herr Jehovah also: Siehe, Ich bringe über dich das Schwert, und Ich rotte aus von dir Mensch und Vieh.
9 And the land of Egypt shall become an astonishment and a desolation, So shall they know that, I, am Yahweh, —Because he said— The river is mine own, Since, I, myself made it!
Und das Land Ägypten wird zur Verwüstung und Öde werden, auf daß sie wissen, daß Ich Jehovah bin, weil es sprach: Mein ist der Strom, und Ich habe ihn gemacht.
10 Therefore, behold me! against thee and against thy rivers, - And I will make the land of Egypt to be most desolate an astounding desolation, from Migdol to Syene even up to the boundary of Ethiopia:
Darum, siehe, bin Ich wider dich und wider deine Ströme, und will das Land Ägypten zur Öde der Verwüstung machen von dem Turme von Seveneh und bis zur Grenze Kusch.
11 The foot of man shall not pass through it, Nor shall the foot of beast, pass through it, Neither shall it be inhabited forty years:
Nicht durch dasselbe soll hingehen eines Menschen Fuß und nicht dadurch hingehen des Viehes Fuß, und nicht soll man darin wohnen vierzig Jahre.
12 So will I make the land of Egypt a desolation in the midst of lands made desolate And her cities—in the midst of cities that have been laid waste, shall become a desolation forty years, - And I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations, And scatter them throughout the lands.
Und Ich mache das Land Ägypten zur Verwüstung mitten unter verwüsteten Ländern, und seine Städte sollen vierzig Jahre eine Verwüstung mitten unter verödeten Städten sein, und Ich will die Ägypter unter die Völkerschaften zerstreuen und sie versprengen in die Länder.
13 For thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, — At the end of forty years, will I gather the Egyptians from among the peoples whither I had dispersed them;
Denn also spricht der Herr Jehovah: Vom Ende von vierzig Jahren will Ich Ägypten zusammenbringen aus den Völkern, dahin sie zerstreut worden;
14 And I will turn the captivity of the Egyptians, And will cause them to return To the land of Pathros Upon the land of their nativity, - And they shall become, there a kingdom abased:
Und Ich will die Gefangenschaft Ägyptens zurückbringen und sie zurückbringen in das Land Pathros, in das Land ihres Handels, und sie sollen ein niedriges Königreich sein.
15 More than [any of] the kingdoms, shall she be abased, And shall lift herself up no more over the nations, —Yea I will make them too small to rule over the nations.
Es soll niedriger sein denn die Königreiche und sich nicht mehr erheben über die Völkerschaften; und Ich werde ihrer wenig machen, daß sie nicht mehr beherrschen die Völkerschaften;
16 So shall it become no more unto the house of Israel a security. Calling to mind iniquity, by their turning to follow them, - And they shall know that, I, am The Lord Yahweh.
Und es soll dem Hause Israel nicht mehr zum Vertrauen sein, erinnernd an die Missetat, daß sie sich nach ihnen wandten. Und wissen sollen sie, daß Ich der Herr Jehovah bin.
17 And it came to pass in the twenty-seventh year in the first month on the first of the month, that the word of Yahweh came unto me saying:
Und es geschah im siebenundzwanzigsten Jahr, im ersten am ersten des Monats, daß Jehovahs Wort an mich geschah, sprechend:
18 Son of man Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, hath made his army undergo a long service against Tyre, Every head, hath been made bald, and, Every shoulder, worn bare, — But pay, hath he had none nor hath his army, out of Tyre, for the service wherewith he hath served against it.
Menschensohn, Nebuchadrezzar, Babels König, läßt seine Streitmacht wider Zor einen großen Dienst dienen, ein jeglich Haupt ward kahl gemacht, und jegliche Schulter abgerieben, und ihm und seiner Streitmacht wird kein Lohn von Zor für den Dienst, den wider dasselbe er gedient hatte.
19 Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Behold me! giving to Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, the land of Egypt, — And he shall carry off her multitude And capture her spoil And seize her prey, So shall she become pay for his army.
Darum spricht so der Herr Jehovah: Siehe, Ich gebe Nebuchadrezzar, Babels König, das Land Ägypten, daß seine Volks- menge er wegnehme und erbeute dessen Beute und raube dessen Raub, und es der Lohn sei seiner Heeresmacht,
20 As a reward for his labour wherewith he hath served, have I given to him the land of Egypt, —in that they wrought for me, Declareth My Lord, Yahweh.
Für seine Arbeit, mit der er gedient, gebe Ich ihm das Land Ägypten, weil sie es für Mich getan, spricht der Herr Jehovah.
21 In that day, will I cause to bud a horn for the house of Israel, And to thee, will I give an opening of mouth in their midst, So shall they know that, I, am Yahweh.
An jenem Tage lasse Ich sprossen ein Horn dem Hause Israel, und gebe dir das Öffnen des Mundes inmitten ihrer, und sie sollen wissen, daß Ich Jehovah bin.
