Ezekiel 11

1 And the Spirit lifted me up, and brought me into the east gate of the house of Yahweh which looketh eastward, and lo! in the opening of the gate, twenty-five men, —and I saw in their midst Jaazaniah son of Azzur and Pelatiah son of Benaiah princes of the people.

Además, el Espíritu me levantó y me llevó a la puerta oriental de la casa de Yahvé, que mira hacia el este. He aquí que había veinticinco hombres a la puerta, y vi entre ellos a Jaazanías, hijo de Azzur, y a Pelatías, hijo de Benaía, príncipes del pueblo.

2 Then said he unto me, Son of man, These, are the men who are devising iniquity, and who are counselling wicked counsel in this city;

Me dijo: “Hijo de hombre, estos son los hombres que traman la iniquidad y dan consejos perversos en esta ciudad;

3 who are saying, Not near! let us build houses, — It, is the caldron, and, we, are the flesh!

que dicen: ‘No está cerca el tiempo de construir casas’. Este es el caldero, y nosotros somos la carne’.

4 Therefore, prophesy against them, —prophesy. Son of man.

Por tanto, profetiza contra ellos. Profetiza, hijo de hombre”.

5 Then fell upon me the Spirit of Yahweh, and he said unto me Say—Thus, saith Yahweh, Thus have ye said O house of Israel, Yea, the things that come up on your spirit, I, know every one.

El Espíritu de Yahvé cayó sobre mí, y me dijo: “Habla, Yahvé dice: “Así habéis dicho, casa de Israel; porque yo sé las cosas que se os ocurren.

6 Ye have multiplied your slain in this city, - And have filled her streets with slain.

Habéis multiplicado vuestros muertos en esta ciudad, y habéis llenado sus calles de muertos.”

7 Therefore Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Your slain. whom ye have laid in her midst, They are the flesh, and She is the caldron, —when ye are taken out of her midst.

“‘Por eso dice el Señor Yahvé: “Tus muertos que has puesto en medio de él, ellos son la carne, y éste es el caldero; pero tú serás sacado de en medio de él.

8 A sword, have ye feared, — And a sword, will I bring in upon you, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.

Ustedes han temido a la espada; y yo traeré la espada sobre ustedes”, dice el Señor Yahvé.

9 So will I take you forth out of her midst, and will deliver you into the hand of foreigners, —and will execute upon you judgments.

“Os sacaré de en medio, os entregaré en manos de extraños y ejecutaré juicios entre vosotros.

10 By the sword, shall ye fall, Upon the boundary of Israel, will I judge you, —So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh.

Caerás por la espada. Te juzgaré en la frontera de Israel. Entonces sabrás que yo soy Yahvé.

11 This city shall not serve you for a caldron, Neither shall, ye, serve in the midst thereof for flesh, —Near the boundary of Israel, will I judge you,

Este no será tu caldero, ni tú serás la carne en medio de él. Yo te juzgaré en la frontera de Israel.

12 So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh. In whose statutes, ye have not walked And whose appointments, ye have not executed, — But according to the appointments of the nations that are round about you, have ye done.

Sabrás que yo soy el Señor, porque no has andado en mis estatutos. No habéis ejecutado mis ordenanzas, sino que habéis hecho según las ordenanzas de las naciones que os rodean”.

13 And it came to pass as I prophesied, that Pelatiah son of Benaiah died, —so then I fell down upon my face and made outcry with a loud voice and said— Alas! My Lord Yahweh! A full end, art thou making of the remnant of Israel?

Mientras yo profetizaba, murió Pelatías, hijo de Benaía. Entonces me postré sobre mi rostro y clamé a gran voz, diciendo: “¡Ah, Señor Yahvé! ¿Vas a acabar por completo con el resto de Israel?”

14 Then came the word of Yahweh unto me saying:

La palabra de Yahvé vino a mí, diciendo:

15 Son of man Thine own brethren, thine own brethren the men of thy kindred, even all the house of Israel all of it are they to whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Get you far away from Yahweh, To us, it is that the land, hath been given, for a possession!

“Hijo de hombre, tus hermanos, los hombres de tu parentela, y toda la casa de Israel, todos ellos, son aquellos a quienes los habitantes de Jerusalén han dicho: ‘Vete lejos de Yahvé. Esta tierra nos ha sido dada en posesión’.

16 Therefore, say, Thus saith My Lord. Yahweh, Although I have removed them far away among the nations, And although I have dispersed them throughout the lands Yet have I become to them a sanctuary for a little while, in the lands which they have entered

“Di, pues, que el Señor Yahvé dice: “Aunque los he alejado entre las naciones y los he dispersado por los países, les seré un santuario por un tiempo en los países a los que han llegado”.

17 Therefore say, Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, Therefore will I assemble you from among the peoples, And gather you out of the lands wherein ye have been dispersed, - And will give you the soil of Israel.

“Di, pues, que el Señor Yahvé ha dicho: “Os reuniré de entre los pueblos y os reuniré de entre los países en los que estáis dispersos, y os daré la tierra de Israel”.

18 So shall they come in thither, — and take away all her detestable things, and all her abominations, out of her;

“‘Vendrán allí, y quitarán de allí todas sus cosas detestables y todas sus abominaciones.

19 And I will give them another heart, And a new spirit, will I put within you, —And will take away the heart of stone out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh:

Les daré un corazón, y pondré un espíritu nuevo dentro de ellos. Quitaré el corazón de piedra de su carne, y les daré un corazón de carne,

20 To the end that in my statutes, they may walk, And mine appointments, they may keep, and do them, — So shall they become my people, And I will become their God.

para que anden en mis estatutos y guarden mis ordenanzas y las cumplan. Ellos serán mi pueblo, y yo seré su Dios.

21 But as for them who having a heart for their detestable things and for their abominations after their own heart, do walk, Their way upon their own heads, will I render, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.

Pero en cuanto a aquellos cuyo corazón camina según el corazón de sus cosas detestables y de sus abominaciones, haré recaer su camino sobre sus propias cabezas,’ dice el Señor Yahvé.”

22 Then did the cherubim lift up their wings, the wheels also going in unison with them, — the glory of the God of Israel, being over them above.

Entonces los querubines levantaron sus alas y las ruedas estaban junto a ellos. La gloria del Dios de Israel estaba por encima de ellos.

23 Thus went up the glory of Yahweh, out from the midst of the city, —and stood on the mountain, which is on the east of the city.

La gloria de Yahvé subió desde el centro de la ciudad y se paró en el monte que está al este de la ciudad.

24 And, the spirit lifted me up, and brought me to Chaldea unto them of the captivity, in the vision by the Spirit of God, —thus went up from me, the vision which I had seen.

El Espíritu me elevó y me llevó en visión por el Espíritu de Dios a Caldea, a los cautivos. Y la visión que había visto se alejó de mí.

25 So I spake unto them of the captivity, —all the words of Yahweh which he had shewed me.

Entonces hablé a los cautivos de todo lo que el Señor me había mostrado.
