Ephesians 2
1 [Unto] you also—being dead by your offences and sins,
E vós estáveis mortos em vossas ofensas e pecados,
2 In which at one time ye walked, according to the age of the world, according to the prince of the authority of the air, of the spirit that now energiseth in the sons of disobedience, (aiōn g165)
nos quais antes andastes conforme o proceder deste mundo, conforme o príncipe do poder do ar, do espírito que agora opera nos filhos da desobediência. (aiōn g165)
3 Among whom also, we all, had our behaviour, at one time, in the covetings of our flesh, doing the things desired by the flesh and the mind, and were children, by nature, of anger—even as the rest, —
Entre esses também todos nós antes andávamos nos desejos da nossa carne, fazendo a vontade da carne e dos pensamentos; e éramos por natureza filhos da ira, como também os outros.
4 But, God, being rich in mercy, by reason of the great love wherewith he loved us,
Mas Deus, que é rico em misericórdia, pelo seu muito amor com que nos amou,
5 Although we were dead by our offences, gave us life together with the Christ, —by favour, ye have been saved, —
estando nós ainda mortos em [nossas] ofensas, nos deu vida juntamente com Cristo (pela graça sois salvos),
6 And raised us up together, and seated us together in the heavenlies, in Christ:
[nos] ressuscitou, juntamente [com ele], e [nos] fez sentar nos lugares celestiais, em Cristo Jesus;
7 That he might point out, in the oncoming ages, the surpassing riches of his favour in graciousness upon us, in Christ Jesus; (aiōn g165)
para mostrar nos tempos futuros as abundantes riquezas da sua graça, pela [sua] bondade conosco em Cristo Jesus. (aiōn g165)
8 For, by his favour, have ye been saved, through means of faith, and this [hath come to pass] —not from you, of God, the free-gift!
Porque pela graça sois salvos, por meio da fé; e isto não [vem] de vós; [é] dom de Deus;
9 Not from works, lest anyone should boast.
não por obras, para que ninguém tenha orgulho de si mesmo.
10 His, in fact we are—his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus upon a footing of good works, which God prepared beforehand, that, therein, we might walk.
Pois nós fomos feitos por ele, criados em Cristo Jesus para as boas obras, que Deus preparou para que nelas andássemos.
11 Wherefore, keep in remembrance—that, at one time, ye, the nations in flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by the so-called Circumcision in flesh, made by hand,
Portanto, lembrai-vos de que vós, antes, éreis gentios na carne, e chamados de não-circuncidados pelos que se chamam participantes da circuncisão na carne, feita por mãos humanas;
12 That ye were, in that season, separate from Christ, alienated from the citizenship of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and godless in the world;
que naquele tempo estáveis sem Cristo, excluídos da comunidade de Israel, e estranhos aos pactos da promessa, não tendo esperança, e sem Deus no mundo.
13 But, just now, in Christ Jesus, ye, who at one time were afar off, were made nigh in the blood of the Christ;
Mas agora em Cristo Jesus, vós que antes estáveis longe, chegastes para perto pelo sangue de Cristo,
14 He, in fact, is our peace—who made both one, and, the enclosing middle-wall, took down,
pois ele é a nossa paz. Dos dois [povos] ele fez um, e derrubou do meio o muro da separação.
15 The enmity, in his flesh—the law of commandments in decrees—bringing to nought, —that, the two, he might create in himself, into one man of new mould, making peace.
Na sua carne ele desfez a inimizade da Lei dos mandamentos [que consistia] em ordenanças, para criar em si mesmo os dois em um novo homem, fazendo a paz;
16 And might fully reconcile them both, in one body, through means of the cross, —slaying the enmity thereby; —
e pela cruz reconciliar com Deus a ambos num só corpo, matando nela a inimizade.
17 And, coming, he announced the glad-message—of peace, unto you, the far off, and peace, unto them that were nigh;
Ele veio, e proclamou o evangelho da paz a vós que [estáveis] longe, e paz aos que estavam perto.
18 Because, through him, we have our introduction—we both—in one Spirit, unto the Father.
Pois por meio dele ambos temos acesso ao Pai por um [mesmo] Espírito.
19 Hence, then—no longer, are ye strangers and sojourners, but ye are fellow-citizens of the saints, and members of the household of God, —
Portanto, já não sois estrangeiros, nem forasteiros, mas sim, concidadãos dos santos, e membros da família de Deus,
20 Having been built up on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, there being, for chief corner stone, Jesus Christ himself, —
edificados sobre o fundamento dos apóstolos e dos profetas, do qual Cristo Jesus é a pedra principal da esquina.
21 In whom, an entire building, in process of being fitly joined together, is growing into a holy shrine in [the] Lord;
Nele o edifício todo, bem ajustado, cresce para [ser] um templo santo no Senhor.
22 In whom, ye also, are being builded together, into a habitation of God in Spirit.
Nele também vós sois juntamente edificados para [serdes] morada de Deus em Espírito.
