< Ephesians 1 >

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus, through God’s will, unto the saints who are [in Ephesus] and faithful in Christ Jesus, —
Paul, an apostle of Yahushua the Messiah by the will of YHWH, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in the Messiah Yahushua:
2 Favour unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and Lord Jesus Christ.
Favour be to you, and peace, from YHWH our Father, and from the Master Yahushua the Messiah.
3 Blessed, be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with every spiritual blessing, in the heavenlies, in Christ,
Blessed be the Elohim and Father of our Master Yahushua the Messiah, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in the Messiah:
4 According as he made choice of us, in him, before the founding of a world, that we might be holy and blameless in his presence; in love,
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 marking us out beforehand unto sonship, through Jesus Christ, for himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Yahushua the Messiah to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 Unto the praise of the glory of his favour wherewith he favoured us in the Beloved One, —
To the praise of the glory of his favour, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
7 In whom we have the redemption through his blood, the remission of our offences, according to the riches of his favour,
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his favour;
8 which he made to superabound towards us; in all wisdom and prudence,
Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
9 making known to us the sacred secret of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him, —
Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
10 For an administration of the fulness of the seasons, to reunite for himself (under one head) the all things in the Christ, the things upon the heavens, and the things upon the earth, in him:
That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in the Messiah, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
11 In whom also we were taken as an inheritance, according to the purpose of him who energiseth all things according to the counsel of his will,
In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12 That we should be for the praise of his glory—we who had hoped beforehand in the Christ, —
That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in the Messiah.
13 In whom, ye also—hearing the word of the truth, the glad-message of your salvation, —in whom also believing, —were sealed with the Spirit of the promise, the Holy [Spirit],
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is an earnest of our inheritance, unto the redemption of the acquisition; —unto his glorious praise.
Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
15 For this cause, I also, —having heard of the faith on your part in the Lord Jesus, and that towards all the saints,
Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Master Yahushua, and love unto all the saints,
16 Cease not giving thanks in your behalf, making mention in my prayers,
Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17 That, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, would give you a Spirit of wisdom and understanding in gaining a personal knowledge of him, —
That the Elohim of our Master Yahushua the Messiah, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your heart having been enlightened, that ye may know—what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what the surpassing greatness of his power unto us who believe, —according to the energy of the grasp of his might
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 which he energised in the Christ, when he raised him from among the dead, and seated him at his right hand in the heavenlies,
Which he wrought in the Messiah, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Over-above all principality, authority, and power, and lordship, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the coming one, (aiōn g165)
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: (aiōn g165)
22 And did put, all things, in subjection beneath his feet. And gave him to be head over all things unto the assembly,
And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the assembly,
23 Which, indeed, is his body, the fulness of him who, the all things in all, is for himself filling up.
Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
