Deuteronomy 3
1 Then turned we and went up, the way of Bashan; and Og king of Bashan, came out to meet us, he, and all his people, to give battle at Edrei.
E voltamos, e subimos caminho de Basã, e saiu-nos ao encontro Ogue rei de Basã para lutar, ele e todo seu povo, em Edrei.
2 And Yahweh said unto me: Do not fear him, for into thy hand, have I delivered him and all his people and his land, —so then thou shalt do unto him, as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites who was dwelling in Heshbon.
E disse-me o SENHOR: Não tenhas medo dele, porque em tua mão entreguei a ele e a todo seu povo, e sua terra: e farás com ele como fizeste com Seom rei amorreu, que habitava em Hesbom.
3 Then did Yahweh our God deliver into our hand, Og also, king of Bashan and all his people, —so we smote him until there was not left remaining to him a survivor.
E o SENHOR nosso Deus entregou também em nossa mão a Ogue rei de Basã, e a todo seu povo, ao qual ferimos até não restar dele ninguém.
4 And we captured all his cities, at that time, there was no fortress which we took not from them, —sixty cities all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
E tomamos então todas suas cidades; não restou cidade que não lhes tomássemos: sessenta cidades, toda a terra de Argobe, do reino de Ogue em Basã.
5 All these, were fortified cities each with a high wall, folding gates and a bar, —besides country towns exceeding many.
Todas estas eram cidades fortificadas com alto muro, com portas e barras; sem outras muito muitas cidades sem muro.
6 And we devoted them to destruction, doing unto them as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, —devoting to destruction every city of males, the women, and the little ones.
E as destruímos, como fizemos a Seom rei de Hesbom, destruindo em toda cidade homens, mulheres, e crianças.
7 But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, made we our prey.
E tomamos para nós todos os animais, e os despojos das cidades.
8 Thus did we at that time take the land out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites (which was over the Jordan), —from the ravine of Arnon as far as Mount Hermon.
Também tomamos naquele tempo da mão de dois reis amorreus que estavam desta parte do Jordão, a terra desde o ribeiro de Arnom até o monte de Hermom:
9 Sidonians, call Hermon Sirion, —but, the Amorites, call it Senir.
(Os sidônios chamam a Hermom Siriom; e os amorreus, Senir: )
10 All the cities of the table-land, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, —unto Salecah, and Edrei, —cities of the kingdom of Og, in Bashan.
Todas as cidades da planície, e todo Gileade, e todo Basã até Salcá e Edrei, cidades do reino de Ogue em Basã.
11 For, only Og, king of Bashan was left remaining of the remnant of the giants, lo! his bedstead, was a bedstead of iron, is not, the same, in Rabbath of the sons of Ammon? nine cubits, the length thereof and four cubits, the breadth thereof, by the fore-arm of a man.
Porque somente Ogue rei de Basã havia restado dos gigantes que restaram. Eis que sua cama, uma cama de ferro, não está em Rabá dos filhos de Amom?; o comprimento dela de nove côvados, e sua largura de quatro côvados, ao côvado de um homem.
12 And this land, took we in possession at that time, —from Aroer which is by the ravine of Arnon, and half the hill-country of Gilead and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites;
E esta terra que herdamos então desde Aroer, que está ao ribeiro de Arnom, e a metade do monte de Gileade com suas cidades, dei aos rubenitas e aos gaditas:
13 but the remainder of Gilead, and all Bashan the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh, —all the region of the Argob with all Bashan. The same, is called, A land of giants.
E o resto de Gileade, e todo Basã, do reino de Ogue, dei o à meia tribo de Manassés; toda a terra de Argobe, todo Basã, que se chamava a terra dos gigantes.
14 Jair, son of Manasseh, took all the region of Argob, as far as the boundary of the Geshurites, and the Maachathites, —and called them after his own name The Bashan of Havvoth-jair unto this day.
Jair filho de Manassés tomou toda a terra de Argobe até o termo dos gessuritas e dos maacatitas; e chamou-a de seu nome Basã-Havote-Jair, até hoje.
15 And, unto Machir, gave I Gilead;
E a Maquir dei a Gileade.
16 And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites, gave I—from Gilead even as far as the ravine of Arnon, the middle of the ravine and boundary, —even as far as the Jabbok ravine, the boundary of the sons of Ammon;
E aos rubenitas e gaditas dei de Gileade até o ribeiro de Arnom, o meio do ribeiro por termo; até o ribeiro de Jaboque, termo dos filhos de Amom:
17 the Waste Plain also and the Jordan and boundary, —from Chinnereth, even as far as the sea of the Waste Plain the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah, on the east.
Assim como a campina, e o Jordão, e o termo, desde Quinerete até o mar da planície, o mar Salgado, as encostas abaixo do Pisga ao oriente.
18 So I commanded you, at that time saying, —Yahweh your God hath given unto you this land to possess it, armed, shall ye pass over before your brethren the sons of Israel all the sons of valour,
E vos mandei então, dizendo: O SENHOR vosso Deus vos deu esta terra para que a possuais: passareis armados diante de vossos irmãos os filhos de Israel todos os valentes.
19 Only, your wives and your little ones and your cattle—I know that ye have much cattle—shall abide in your cities which I have given unto you;
Somente vossas mulheres, vossas crianças, e vossos gados, (eu sei que tendes muito gado, ) ficarão em vossas cidades que vos dei,
20 until that Yahweh shall give rest unto your brethren, as well as you, so shall, they too, possess the land which, Yahweh your God, is giving unto them, over the Jordan, —then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given unto you.
Até que o SENHOR dê repouso a vossos irmãos, assim como a vós, e herdem também eles a terra que o SENHOR vosso Deus lhes dá à outra parte do Jordão: então vos voltareis cada um a sua herança que eu vos dei.
21 Joshua also, commanded I, at that time saying, —Thine are the eyes, that have seen all that Yahweh your God hath done unto these two kings, thus, will Yahweh do unto all the kingdoms whereunto thou, art passing over:
Mandei também a Josué então, dizendo: Teus olhos viram tudo o que o SENHOR vosso Deus fez àqueles dois reis: assim fará o SENHOR a todos os reinos aos quais passarás tu.
22 ye shall not fear them, —for, Yahweh your God, he, it is that is fighting for you.
Não os temais; que o SENHOR vosso Deus, ele é o que luta por vós.
23 Then sought I Yahweh at that time, for a favour saying:
E orei ao SENHOR naquele tempo, dizendo:
24 My Lord Yahweh, thou thyself, hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy firm hand, —as to which, what GOD is there, in the heavens or in the earth, that can do according to thy doings, and according to thy mighty deeds?
Senhor DEUS, tu começaste a mostrar a teu servo tua grandeza, e tua mão forte: porque que deus há no céu nem na terra que faça segundo tuas obras, e segundo tuas valentias?
25 Let me pass over, I pray thee that I may see the good land that is over the Jordan, —this good mountain, and the Lebanon.
Passe eu, rogo-te, e veja aquela terra boa, que está à parte ali do Jordão, aquele bom monte, e o Líbano.
26 But Yahweh had been provoked with me for your sakes, and hearkened not unto me, —and Yahweh said unto me, Enough for thee! do not add a word unto me further in this matter.
Mas o SENHOR se havia irado contra mim por causa de vós, pelo qual não me ouviu: e disse-me o SENHOR: Basta-te, não me fales mais deste negócio.
27 Ascend the top of the Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes—westward, and northward and southward and eastward—and see with thine own eyes, —for thou shalt not pass over this Jordan.
Sobe ao cume do Pisga, e ergue teus olhos ao ocidente, e ao norte, e ao sul, e ao oriente, e vê por teus olhos: porque não passarás este Jordão.
28 But command thou Joshua and confirm him and embolden him, —for, he, shall pass over before this people, and, he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.
E manda a Josué, e anima-o, e conforta-o; porque ele há de passar diante deste povo, e ele lhes fará herdar a terra que verás.
29 So we abode in the valley, over against Beth-peor.
E paramos no vale diante de Bete-Peor.
