< Deuteronomy 3 >

1 Then turned we and went up, the way of Bashan; and Og king of Bashan, came out to meet us, he, and all his people, to give battle at Edrei.
Bangʼe negigomo ma giluwo yo madhi Bashan, kendo Og ruodh Bashan gi jolweny mage duto nowuok riat mokedo kodwa e lweny Edrei.
2 And Yahweh said unto me: Do not fear him, for into thy hand, have I delivered him and all his people and his land, —so then thou shalt do unto him, as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites who was dwelling in Heshbon.
Jehova Nyasaye nowachona niya, “Kik iluore nimar asechiwe e lweti, en kaachiel gi jolweny mage duto kod pinye. Timne kaka ne itimone Sihon ruodh jo-Amor, mane obedo gi loch e piny Heshbon.”
3 Then did Yahweh our God deliver into our hand, Og also, king of Bashan and all his people, —so we smote him until there was not left remaining to him a survivor.
Omiyo Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachwa nochiwo Og ruodh Bashan gi jolwenje duto e lwetwa, kendo ne watiekogi mi wanegogi duto maonge ngʼama nodongʼ.
4 And we captured all his cities, at that time, there was no fortress which we took not from them, —sixty cities all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
E kindeno ne wakawo mier madongo mage duto. Onge kata mana dala maduongʼ kuom mier piero auchiel madongo mag-gi mane ok wakawo, tiende ni gwenge duto man Argob, ma en pinyruodh Og man Bashan.
5 All these, were fortified cities each with a high wall, folding gates and a bar, —besides country towns exceeding many.
Mier madongogi duto ne ochiel gi ohinga kod rangeye mag chumbe, to bende ne nitie mier moko matindo mangʼeny mane ok ochiel.
6 And we devoted them to destruction, doing unto them as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, —devoting to destruction every city of males, the women, and the little ones.
Dala ka dala ne wanegoe ji duto modakie, kaka chwo, mon kod nyithindo mana kaka ne watimo ne Sihon ruodh Heshbon.
7 But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, made we our prey.
To jamni duto kod gik moyaki moa e mier madongo mag-gi, ne watingʼo wadhigo.
8 Thus did we at that time take the land out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites (which was over the Jordan), —from the ravine of Arnon as far as Mount Hermon.
Omiyo e kindeno ne wakawo pinje mag ruodhi ariyo mag jo-Amor, mantie yo wuok chiengʼ mar Jordan, kochakore e holo mar Arnon mochopo nyaka Got Hermon.
9 Sidonians, call Hermon Sirion, —but, the Amorites, call it Senir.
(Hermon iluongo ni Sirion gi jo-Sidon, to jo-Amor luonge ni Senir).
10 All the cities of the table-land, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, —unto Salecah, and Edrei, —cities of the kingdom of Og, in Bashan.
Ne wakawo dalane duto manie got mesa Gilead duto, kod Bashan duto chakre Saleka, Edrei, dalane mag pinyruodh Og man Bashan.
11 For, only Og, king of Bashan was left remaining of the remnant of the giants, lo! his bedstead, was a bedstead of iron, is not, the same, in Rabbath of the sons of Ammon? nine cubits, the length thereof and four cubits, the breadth thereof, by the fore-arm of a man.
(Og ruodh Bashan kende e ngʼama ne odongʼ e dier jomane otony kuom jo-Refai. Otandane ne olos gi nyinyo; borne ne oyombo fut apar gadek kendo lachne fut auchiel. Otandaneno pod ni Raba piny jo-Amon nyaka chil kawuono).
12 And this land, took we in possession at that time, —from Aroer which is by the ravine of Arnon, and half the hill-country of Gilead and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites;
Kuom pinje moko mane wakawo e kindeno, ne amiyo joka Reuben kod joka Gad tongʼ mokiewo gi Aroer man e bath holo mar Arnon, komedi gi nus mar piny gode manie Gilead kod miechgi duto.
13 but the remainder of Gilead, and all Bashan the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh, —all the region of the Argob with all Bashan. The same, is called, A land of giants.
Pinje Gilead modongʼ duto kod Bashan, pinyruodh Og, ne amiyo nus mar dhood jo-Manase. (E gwenge duto mag Argob man Bashan, nosebedo kiluongo ni piny jo-Refai.
14 Jair, son of Manasseh, took all the region of Argob, as far as the boundary of the Geshurites, and the Maachathites, —and called them after his own name The Bashan of Havvoth-jair unto this day.
Jair mawuok e dhood Manase ne okawo gwenge duto mag Argob ma ochopo nyaka e tongʼ man e kind jo-Geshur kod jo-Maakath; ne ochake nyinge owuon, manyaka kawuononi Bashan pod iluongo ni Havoth Jair.)
15 And, unto Machir, gave I Gilead;
Kendo ne achiwo Gilead ne Makir.
16 And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites, gave I—from Gilead even as far as the ravine of Arnon, the middle of the ravine and boundary, —even as far as the Jabbok ravine, the boundary of the sons of Ammon;
To ne jo-Reuben kod jo-Gad, ne amiyogi kochakore Gilead nyaka e holo mar Arnon (e dier holono tir nobedo tongʼ) kendo koa Aora Jabok ma en tongʼ mar jo-Amon.
17 the Waste Plain also and the Jordan and boundary, —from Chinnereth, even as far as the sea of the Waste Plain the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah, on the east.
Bende nomi jo-Reuben kod jo-Gad piny ma yo podho chiengʼ mar Jordan man Araba nyaka Kinereth mochopo dho Nam mar Araba (ma tiende ni Nam Chumbi), man e bwo gode mag Pisga.
18 So I commanded you, at that time saying, —Yahweh your God hath given unto you this land to possess it, armed, shall ye pass over before your brethren the sons of Israel all the sons of valour,
E kindeno ne amiyou chik kawacho niya, “Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachu osemiyou pinyni mondo ukaw, to jolwenju duto machwo motegno moikore ne lweny nyaka kadh dhi loka e nyim oweteu ma jo-Israel.
19 Only, your wives and your little ones and your cattle—I know that ye have much cattle—shall abide in your cities which I have given unto you;
Makmana mondeu, nyithindu kod jambu (angʼeyo ni un gi jamni mangʼeny), mondo odag e dalane ma asemiyou,
20 until that Yahweh shall give rest unto your brethren, as well as you, so shall, they too, possess the land which, Yahweh your God, is giving unto them, over the Jordan, —then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given unto you.
nyaka chop Jehova Nyasaye mi oweteu kwe, mana kaka osemiyou kendo gin bende gikaw piny ma Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachu miyou, loka mar Jordan. Bangʼ mano ngʼato ka ngʼato kuomu odogi kare ma asemiye kaka girkeni.”
21 Joshua also, commanded I, at that time saying, —Thine are the eyes, that have seen all that Yahweh your God hath done unto these two kings, thus, will Yahweh do unto all the kingdoms whereunto thou, art passing over:
E kindeno ne achiko kawachone Joshua niya, “Iseneno gi wangʼi gik ma Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachi osetimo ni ruodhi ariyogi. Jehova Nyasaye biro timo mana machal kamano ne pinjeruodhi duto kuma udhiyoeno.
22 ye shall not fear them, —for, Yahweh your God, he, it is that is fighting for you.
Kik uluorgi; nikech Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachu owuon nokednu.”
23 Then sought I Yahweh at that time, for a favour saying:
E kindeno ne akwayo Jehova Nyasaye niya,
24 My Lord Yahweh, thou thyself, hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy firm hand, —as to which, what GOD is there, in the heavens or in the earth, that can do according to thy doings, and according to thy mighty deeds?
“Yaye Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto, isechako nyiso jatichni badi mar loch kod tekoni maduongʼ. Nimar en nyasaye mane manie piny kata e polo manyalo timo gik marateke kaka misetimo?
25 Let me pass over, I pray thee that I may see the good land that is over the Jordan, —this good mountain, and the Lebanon.
We angʼadi adhi ane piny maber loka Jordan piny gode kod Lebanon.”
26 But Yahweh had been provoked with me for your sakes, and hearkened not unto me, —and Yahweh said unto me, Enough for thee! do not add a word unto me further in this matter.
To nikech un, Jehova Nyasaye ne okecho koda kendo ne ok onyal chiko ite ne wechena. Jehova Nyasaye nowacho niya, “Mano oromo, kik ichak iwuo koda kuom wachno.
27 Ascend the top of the Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes—westward, and northward and southward and eastward—and see with thine own eyes, —for thou shalt not pass over this Jordan.
Dhiyo ewi got Pisga mondo ine piny koa wuok chiengʼ nyaka podho chiengʼ kendo koa nyandwat nyaka milambo. Rang piny gi wengeni owuon, nimar ok iningʼad aora Jordan.
28 But command thou Joshua and confirm him and embolden him, —for, he, shall pass over before this people, and, he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.
Ket Joshua mondo okaw kari kijiwe kendo imiye teko, nimar en ema obiro telo ne jogi koterogi loka cha mondo gikaw piny ma ibiro nenono.”
29 So we abode in the valley, over against Beth-peor.
Omiyo wan ne wadongʼ e bath holo machiegni gi Beth Peor.
