Deuteronomy 16

1 Observe the month of Abib, when thou shalt keep a passover unto Yahweh thy God, —for in the month of Abib, did Yahweh thy God bring thee forth out of Egypt by night:

১তুমি আবীব মাস পালন করবে এবং তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে নিস্তারপর্ব্ব পালন করবে; কারণ আবীব মাসে তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে রাতে মিশর থেকে বের করে এনেছিলেন।

2 therefore shalt thou sacrifice a passover unto Yahweh thy God of flock or herd, —in the place which Yahweh shall choose to make a habitation for his name there.

২আর সদাপ্রভু নিজের নামের বসবাসের জন্যে যে জায়গা মনোনীত করবেন, সেই জায়গায় তুমি নিজের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে মেষ পাল ও গরুর পাল থেকে কিছু পশু নিয়ে নিস্তারপর্ব্বের বলিদান করবে।

3 Thou shalt not eat therewith any thing leavened, seven days, shalt thou eat therewith unleavened cakes the bread of humiliation, —for in haste, camest thou forth out of the land of Egypt, that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt, all the days of thy life.

৩তুমি তার সঙ্গে তাড়ীযুক্ত রুটি খাবে না; কারণ তুমি তাড়াতাড়িই মিশর দেশ থেকে বের হয়েছিলে; এই জন্য সাত দিন সেই বলির সঙ্গে তাড়ীশূন্য রুটি, দুঃখাবস্থার রুটি খাবে; যেন মিশর দেশ থেকে তোমার বের হয়ে আসার দিন যাবজ্জীবন তোমার মনে থাকে।

4 And there shall not be seen with thee leaven in any of thy bounds seven days, —neither shall there remain all night of the flesh which thou shalt sacrifice in the evening, on the first day, unto the morning.

৪সাত দিন তোমার সীমার মধ্যে তাড়ী দেখা না যাক এবং প্রথম দিনের র সন্ধ্যাবেলায় তুমি যে বলিদান কর, তার মাংস কিছুই যেন সকাল পর্যন্ত বাকি না থাকুক।

5 Thou mayest not sacrifice the passover, —within any of thine own gates which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee;

৫তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে যে সব শহর দেবেন, তার কোনো শহরের দরজার ভিতরে নিস্তারপর্ব্বের বলিদান করতে পারবে না;

6 but in the place which Yahweh thy God shall choose to make a habitation for his name, there, shalt thou sacrifice the passover in the evening, —at the going in of the sun, at the very time thou camest forth out of Egypt.

৬কিন্তু তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু নিজের নামের বসবাসের জন্যে যে জায়গা মনোনীত করবেন, সেই জায়গায় মিশর দেশ থেকে তোমার বের হয়ে আসার বছরে, সন্ধ্যাবেলায়, সূর্য্যাস্তের দিনের নিস্তারপর্ব্বের বলিদান করবে।

7 Therefore shalt thou cook and eat it in the place which Yahweh thy God, shall choose, —and shalt turn away in the morning, and go thy way unto thy tents.

৭আর তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর মনোনীত জায়গায় তা রান্না করে খাবে; পরে সকালে নিজের তাঁবুতে ফিরে যাবে।

8 Six days, shalt thou eat unleavened cakes, —and, on the seventh day, shall be a closing feast, unto Yahweh thy God, thou shalt do no work.

৮তুমি ছয় দিন তাড়ীশূন্য রুটি খাবে এবং সপ্তম দিনের তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে পর্বসভা হবে; তুমি কোনো কাজ করবে না।

9 Seven weeks, shalt thou count unto thee, —from the beginning of thrusting in the sickle into the standing corn, shalt thou begin to count, seven weeks.

৯তুমি সাত সপ্তাহ নিজের জন্য গণনা করবে; ক্ষেতে অবস্থিত শস্যে প্রথম কাস্তে দেওয়া থেকে সাত সপ্তাহ গণনা করতে শুরু করবে।

10 So shalt thou keep the festival of weeks unto Yahweh thy God, in the measure of the freewill offering of thy hand which thou shalt give, —as Yahweh thy God shall bless thee.

১০পরে তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর আশীর্বাদ অনুযায়ী সঙ্গতি থেকে নিজের ইচ্ছায় দেওয়া উপহারের মাধ্যমে তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে সাত সপ্তাহের উৎসব পালন করবে।

11 So shalt thou rejoice before Yahweh thy God—thou, and thy son and thy daughter and thy servant and thy handmaid, and the Levite who is within thy gates, and the sojourner, and the fatherless and the widow who are in thy midst, —in the place which Yahweh thy God shall choose, to make a habitation for his name there.

১১আর তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু নিজের নামের বসবাসের জন্যে যে জায়গা মনোনীত করবেন, সেই জায়গায় তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর সামনে তুমি, তোমার ছেলেমেয়ে, তোমার দাসদাসী, তোমার শহরের দরজার মাঝখানের লেবীয় ও তোমার সাথে বাসকারী বিদেশী, পিতৃহীন ও বিধবা সবাই আনন্দ করবে।

12 So shalt thou remember that a servant, thou wast in Egypt, —and shalt observe and do these statutes.

১২আর তুমি মনে রাখবে যে, তুমি মিশর দেশে দাস ছিলে এবং এই সব বিধি যত্নসহকারে পালন করবে।

13 The festival of booths, shalt thou keep for thyself seven days, —when thou hast gathered in out of thy threshing-floor and out of thy wine-vat.

১৩তোমার খামার ও আঙ্গুর কুণ্ড থেকে যা সংগ্রহ করার, তা সংগ্রহ করার পর তুমি সাত দিন কুটিরের উৎসব পালন করবে।

14 And thou shalt rejoice in thy festival, —thou, and thy son and thy daughter, and thy servant and thy handmaid, and the Levite and the sojourner, and the fatherless and the widow, who are within thy gates.

১৪আর সেই উৎসবে তুমি, তোমার ছেলেময়ে, তোমার দাসদাসী ও তোমার শহরের দরজার মাঝখানের লেবীয় ও বিদেশী এবং পিতৃহীন ও বিধবা সবাই আনন্দ করবে।

15 Seven days, shalt thou keep festival unto Yahweh thy God, in the place which Yahweh shall choose, —for Yahweh thy God, will bless thee, in all thine increase and in all the work of thy hands, —therefore shalt thou do nothing but, rejoice.

১৫সদাপ্রভু মনোনীত জায়গায় তুমি নিজের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে সাত দিন উৎসব পালন করবে; কারণ তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু তোমার উৎপন্ন জিনিসে ও হাতের সব কাজে তোমাকে আশীর্বাদ করবেন, আর তুমি সম্পূর্ণ আনন্দিত হবে।

16 Three times in the year, shall each one of thy males see the face of Yahweh thy God, in the place which he shall choose, at the festival of unleavened cakes and at the festival of weeks and at the festival of booths, —and none shall see the face of Yahweh empty-handed:

১৬তোমার প্রত্যেক পুরুষ বছরের মধ্যে তিন বার তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর সামনে তাঁর মনোনীত জায়গায় দেখা দেবে; তাড়ীশূন্য রুটির উৎসবে, সাত সপ্তাহের উৎসবে ও কুটিরের উৎসবে; আর তারা সদাপ্রভুর সামনে খালি হাতে দেখা দেবে না;

17 every man according as his hand can give, —according to the blessing of Yahweh thy God, which he hath bestowed upon thee.

১৭প্রত্যেক জন তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর দেওয়া আশীর্বাদ অনুসারে নিজেদের সঙ্গতি অনুযায়ী উপহার দেবে।

18 Judges and officers, shalt thou appoint thee in all thy gates, which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee, by thy tribes, —and they shall judge the people, with righteous judgment,

১৮তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু তোমার সকল বংশানুসারে তোমাকে যে সব শহর দেবেন, সেই সব শহরের দরজায় তুমি আপনার জন্য বিচারকর্তাদেরকে ও শাসনকর্তাদেরকে নিযুক্ত করবে; আর তারা সঠিক বিচারে লোকদের বিচার করবে।

19 Thou shalt not wrest judgment, thou shalt not take note of faces, —nor shalt thou accept a bribe, for the bribe, blindeth the eyes of wise men, and perverteth the words of righteous men.

১৯তুমি জোর করে বিচার করতে পারো না, কারোর পক্ষপাত করবে না ও ঘুষ নেবে না; কারণ ঘুষ জ্ঞানীদের চোখ অন্ধ করে ও ধার্ম্মিকদের কথা বিপরীত করে।

20 What is right, what is right, shalt thou pursue, —that thou mayest live and possess the land, which, Yahweh thy God, is giving unto thee.

২০সবভাবে যা সঠিক, তারই অনুগামী হবে, তাতে তুমি বেঁচে থেকে নিজের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর দেওয়া দেশ অধিকার করবে।

21 Thou shalt not plant thee, as a sacred stem, any tree, —near unto the altar of Yahweh thy God which thou shalt make for thyself;

২১তুমি নিজের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে যে যজ্ঞবেদি তৈরী করবে, তার কাছে কোনো ধরনের থাম ও কাঠের আশেরা মূর্ত্তি স্থাপন করবে না।

22 neither shalt thou set thee up a pillar, —which Yahweh thy God, doth hate.

২২কখনো তুমি তোমার জন্য পবিত্র পাথর বসাবে না, যা তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর ঘৃণাস্পদ।
