Deuteronomy 15
1 At the end of seven years, shalt thou make a release.
Εν τω τέλει του εβδόμου έτους θέλεις κάμνει άφεσιν.
2 And, this, shall be the manner of the release, Every creditor who lendeth aught to his neighbour, his hand shall release it, —he shall not exact it of his neighbour or his brother, because there hath been proclaimed a release unto Yahweh.
Και ούτος είναι ο νόμος της αφέσεως· πας δανειστής, όστις εδάνεισέ τι εις τον πλησίον αυτού, θέλει αφήσει αυτό· δεν θέλει απαιτεί αυτό από τον πλησίον αυτού ή από τον αδελφόν αυτού· διότι τούτο ονομάζεται άφεσις του Κυρίου.
3 Of a foreigner, thou mayest exact it, —but, what thou hast with thy brother, thy hand shall release;
Από του ξένου δύνασαι να απαιτήσης αυτό· ό, τι όμως ο αδελφός σου έχει εκ των ιδικών σου, η χειρ σου θέλει αφίνει αυτό·
4 save, when there shall be among you no needy person, —for Yahweh will indeed bless, thee, in the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee as an inheritance to possess it:
διά να μη υπάρχη πτωχός μεταξύ σας· διότι ο Κύριος θέλει σε ευλογήσει μεγάλως εν τη γη, την οποίαν Κύριος ο Θεός σου δίδει εις σε κληρονομίαν, διά να εξουσιάσης αυτήν·
5 only if thou do hearken unto the voice of Yahweh thy God, —to observe to do—all this commandment which I am commanding thee to-day.
αν μόνον επιμελώς ακούης την φωνήν Κυρίου του Θεού σου, διά να προσέχης να κάμνης πάσας τας εντολάς ταύτας, τας οποίας εγώ σε προστάζω σήμερον.
6 When, Yahweh thy God, hath blessed thee, as he spake unto thee, then shalt thou lend unto many nations but thou, shalt not borrow, and, thou shalt rule over many nations but over thee, shall they not rule.
διότι Κύριος ο Θεός σου θέλει σε ευλογήσει, καθώς υπεσχέθη εις σέ· και θέλεις δανείζει εις πολλά έθνη, συ όμως δεν θέλεις δανείζεσθαι και θέλεις βασιλεύει επί πολλά έθνη, επί σε όμως δεν θέλουσι βασιλεύσει.
7 When there cometh to be among you a needy person any one of thy brethren within any one of thy gates, in thy land, which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee, thou shalt not harden thy heart nor shut thy hand from thy needy brother;
Εάν ήναι εν μέσω σου πτωχός εκ των αδελφών σου εντός τινός των πυλών σου, εν τη γη σου την οποίαν Κύριος ο Θεός σου δίδει εις σε, δεν θέλεις σκληρύνει την καρδίαν σου ουδέ θέλεις κλείσει την χείρα σου από του πτωχού αδελφού σου·
8 but thou shalt, open, thy hand unto him, —and, lend, him enough to meet the poverty which doth impoverish him.
αλλ' εξάπαντος θέλεις ανοίξει την χείρα σου προς αυτόν, και εξάπαντος θέλεις δανείσει εις αυτόν ικανά διά την χρείαν αυτού, εις ό, τι χρειάζεται.
9 Take thou heed to thyself lest there be something near thine abandoned heart, saying—Drawing nigh, is the seventh year the year of release, and so thine eye be evil, against thy needy brother, and thou give not unto him, —and he cry out against thee unto Yahweh, and it become in thee a sin!
πρόσεχε εις σεαυτόν, μήποτε επέλθη κακός στοχασμός επί την καρδίαν σου και είπης, Πλησιάζει το έβδομον έτος, το έτος της αφέσεως· και πονηρευθή ο οφθαλμός σου κατά του πτωχού αδελφού σου και δεν δώσης εις αυτόν, και βοήση προς τον Κύριον κατά σου, και γείνη εις σε αμαρτία.
10 Thou shalt, give, unto him, and thy heart shall not be evil when thou givest unto him, —for on account of this very thing, will Yahweh thy God bless thee, in all that thou doest and in all whereunto thou puttest thy hand.
Θέλεις δώσει εξάπαντος εις αυτόν, και η καρδία σου δεν θέλει πονηρευθή όταν δίδης εις αυτόν· επειδή διά τούτο θέλει σε ευλογεί Κύριος ο Θεός σου εις πάντα τα έργα σου και εις πάσας τας επιχειρήσεις σου.
11 For the needy will not cease out of the midst of the land—for this cause, am I commanding thee, saying, Thou shalt open, thy hand unto thy brother to thy poor and to thy needy, in thy land.
Διότι δεν θέλει λείψει πτωχός εκ μέσου της γης σου· διά τούτο εγώ προστάζω εις σε, λέγων, Θέλεις εξάπαντος ανοίγει την χείρα σου προς τον αδελφόν σου, προς τον πτωχόν σου και προς τον ενδεή σου επί της γης σου.
12 When thy brother a Hebrew man (or a Hebrew woman) selleth himself unto thee, then shall he serve thee six years, —and in the seventh year, shalt thou let him go out free from thee;
Εάν ο αδελφός σου, Εβραίος ή Εβραία, πωληθή εις σε, θέλει σε δουλεύσει εξ έτη, και εις το έβδομον έτος θέλεις εξαποστείλει αυτόν ελεύθερον από σου.
13 and when thou lettest him go out free, from thee, thou shalt not let him go out empty:
Και όταν εξαποστείλης αυτόν ελεύθερον από σου, δεν θέλεις εξαποστείλει αυτόν κενόν·
14 thou shalt, richly load, him out of thy flock, and out of thy threshing-floor and out of thy wine-vat, —of that wherewith Yahweh thy God hath blessed thee, shalt thou give unto him;
θέλεις εξάπαντος εφοδιάσει αυτόν από των προβάτων σου και από του αλωνίου σου και από του ληνού σου· από ό, τι Κύριος ο Θεός σου σε ηυλόγησε, θέλεις δώσει εις αυτόν.
15 and thou shalt remember that a servant, thou wast in the land of Egypt, and that Yahweh thy God, redeemed thee, —for this cause, am I commanding thee this thing, to-day.
Και θέλεις ενθυμηθή ότι δούλος εστάθης εν γη Αιγύπτου, και Κύριος ο Θεός σου σε ελύτρωσεν· όθεν εγώ προστάζω εις σε το πράγμα τούτο σήμερον.
16 And it shall be, if he shall say unto thee, I will not go away from thee, —because he loveth thee, and thy household, because he is well off with thee,
Αλλ' εάν σοι είπη, Δεν εξέρχομαι από σού· επειδή ηγάπησε σε και τον οίκόν σου, διότι ευτυχεί μετά σού·
17 then shalt thou take an awl and thrust it through his ear unto the door, so shall he be thy servant all his life. And unto thine handmaid also, shalt thou do thus.
τότε θέλεις λάβει τρυπητήριον και θέλεις τρυπήσει το ωτίον αυτού προς την θύραν, και θέλει είσθαι δούλός σου παντοτεινός· και εις την δούλην σου θέλεις κάμει ομοίως.
18 It shall not be hard in thine eyes when thou lettest him go out free, from thee; for to the double of the hire of a hireling, hath he served thee six years, —so will Yahweh thy God bless thee, in all that thou doest.
Δεν θέλει φανή εις σε σκληρόν όταν εξαποστείλης αυτόν ελεύθερον από σού· διότι σε εδούλευσε το διπλούν μισθωτού δούλου, εξ έτη· και Κύριος ο Θεός σου θέλει σε ευλογεί εις παν ό, τι κάμνεις.
19 Every firstling that is brought forth in thy herd and in thy flock that is a male, shalt thou hallow unto Yahweh thy God, —thou shalt not work with a firstling of thine oxen, neither shalt thou shear a firstling of thy flock:
Πάντα τα πρωτότοκα, όσα γεννώνται μεταξύ των βοών σου και των προβάτων σου τα αρσενικά, θέλεις αφιερόνει εις Κύριον τον Θεόν σου· δεν θέλεις μεταχειρισθή εις εργασίαν τον πρωτότοκον μόσχον σου, ουδέ κουρεύσει το πρωτότοκον των προβάτων σου.
20 before Yahweh thy God, shalt thou eat it year by year, in the place which Yahweh shall choose, —thou, and thy household.
Ενώπιον Κυρίου του Θεού σου θέλεις τρώγει αυτό κατ' έτος, εν τω τόπω όντινα εκλέξη ο Κύριος, συ και ο οίκός σου.
21 But, when there is in it any blemish, lameness or blindness, any ill blemish, thou shalt not sacrifice it unto Yahweh thy God:
Και εάν έχη τινά μώμον, εάν ήναι χωλόν ή τυφλόν ή έχη τινά μώμον κακόν, δεν θέλεις θυσιάσει αυτό εις Κύριον τον Θεόν σου.
22 within thine own gates, mayest thou eat it, —the unclean of you and the clean alike, as the gazelle and as the hart.
Εντός των πυλών σου θέλεις τρώγει αυτό· ο ακάθαρτος και ο καθαρός εξίσου, ως την δορκάδα και ως την έλαφον.
23 Only the blood thereof, shalt thou not eat, —on the earth, shalt thou pour it out like water.
Πλην το αίμα αυτού δεν θέλεις φάγει επί την γην θέλεις χύσει αυτό ως ύδωρ.
