Amos 1
1 The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, —of which (words) he had vision concerning Israel, in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam son of Joash, king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
Ang mga pulong ni Amos, nga usa sa mga magbalantay sa panon sa kahayupan sa Tekoa, nga iyang nakita mahitungod sa Israel sa mga adlaw ni Uzzias, nga hari sa Juda, ug sa mga adlaw ni Jeroboam, ang anak nga lalake ni Joas, nga hari sa Israel, duha ka tuig sa wala pa ang linog.
2 So then he said—Yahweh, out of Zion, will roar, and, out of Jerusalem, will utter his voice, —and the pastures of the shepherds, shall mourn, and the top of Carmel, be dried up.
Ug siya miingon: Si Jehova mopadahunog sa iyang tingog gikan sa Sion, ng mopagula sa iyang tingog gikan sa Jerusalem; ug ang mga sibsibanan sa mga magbalantay sa carnero managbangotan, ug ang kinatumyan sa Carmelo magamala.
3 Thus, saith Yahweh, Because of three transgressions of Damascus, and because of four, will I not turn it back, —Because, with threshing instruments of iron, they have threshed Gilead.
Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Tungod sa totolo ka mga kalapasan sa Damasco, oo, tungod sa upat, dili ko kuhaon ang silot niana; tungod kay gigiukan nila ang Galaad uban sa mga galamiton nga puthaw nga alang sa paggiuk;
4 Therefore will send a fire, into the house of Hazael, —which shall devour the palaces of Ben- hadad;
Apan padad-an ko sa kalayo ang balay ni Hasael, ug kini magalamoy sa mga palacio ni Ben-hadad.
5 And I will break the bolt of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant out of the plain of Aven, and the holder of the sceptre out of the house of Eden, —and the people of Syria, shall be exiled, unto Kir, saith Yahweh.
Ug pagabunggoon ko ang trangka sa Damasco, ug pagaputlon ko ang nagapuyo gikan sa walog sa Aven, ug siya nga nagahupot sa cetro pagalukahon ko gikan sa balay sa Eden; ug ang katawohan sa Siria mangabihag ngadto sa Chir, nagaingon si Jehova.
6 Thus, saith Yahweh, Because of three transgressions of Gaza, and because of four, will I not turn it back, —Because of their taking into exile the whole body of exiles, to deliver to Edom,
Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Tungod sa totolo ka mga kalapasan sa Gaza, oo, tungod sa upat, dili ko kuhaon ang silot niana; tungod kay ilang gibihag ang tibook nga katawohan, aron sa pagtugyan kanila ngadto sa Edom.
7 Therefore will I send a fire upon the wall of Gaza, —which shall devour the palaces thereof;
Apan ibabaw sa mga kuta sa Gaza ipadala ko ang kalayo, ug kini magalamoy sa mga palacio niana.
8 And I will cut off the inhabitant out of Ashdod, and the holder of the sceptre out of Ashkelon, —and will turn my hand against Ekron, So shall perish the remnant of the Philistines, saith My Lord, Yahweh.
Ug pagaputlon ko ang nagapuyo gikan sa Asdod, ug siya nga nagahupot sa cetro pagalukahon ko gikan sa Askalon; ug bakyawon ko ang akong kamot batok sa Ecron; ug ang mga salin sa mga Filistehanon mangamatay, nagaingon ang Ginoong Jehova:
9 Thus, saith Yahweh, Because of three transgressions of Tyre, and because of four, will I not turn it back, —Because of their delivering up the whole body of exiles to Edom, and they remembered not the brotherly covenant,
Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Tungod sa totolo ka mga kalapasan sa Tiro, oo, tungod sa upat, dili ko kuhaon ang silot niana; tungod kay ilang gitugyan ang tibook nga katawohan sa Edom, ug sila wala mahanumdum sa inigsoonayng pakigsaad sa panagsangga:
10 Therefore will I send a fire upon the wall of Tyre, —which shall devour the palaces thereof.
Apan ibabaw sa kuta sa Tiro ipadala ko ang kalayo, ug kini magalamoy sa mga palacio niana.
11 Thus, saith Yahweh, Because of three transgressions of Edom, and because of four, will I not turn it back, —Because he pursued, with the sword, his brother, and stifled his compassions, and his anger tare in pieces evermore, and, his indignation, kept watch perpetually,
Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Tungod sa totolo ka mga kalapasan sa Edom, oo, tungod sa upat, dili ko kuhaon ang silot niana; tungod kay iyang gigukod uban sa pinuti ang iyang igsoon nga lalake, ug gisalikway ang tanang kalooy, ug ang iyang kasilag nagangutngot sa walay hunong, ug siya nagabaton sa iyang kaligutgut sa walay katapusan.
12 Therefore will I send a fire into Teman, —which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.
Apan ibabaw sa Teman ipadala ko ang kalayo, ug kini magalamoy sa mga palacio sa Bosra.
13 Thus, saith Yahweh, Because of three transgressions of the sons of Ammon, and because of four, will I not turn it back, —Because of their ripping up the pregnant women of Gilead, that they might enlarge their own boundary,
Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Tungod sa totolo ka mga kalapasan sa mga anak sa Ammon, oo, tungod sa upat, dili ko kuhaon ang silot niana; tungod kay gipikaspikas nila ang mga babaye nga mabdos sa Galaad, aron lamang padakuon nila ang ilang utlanan:
14 Therefore will I kindle a fire upon the wall of Rabbah, which shall devour the palaces thereof, —with a war-cry in the day of battle, with tempest in the day of storm-wind;
Apan pasilauban ko sa kalayo ang kuta sa Rabba, ug kini magalamoy sa mga palacio niana, uban ang mga singgit sa adlaw sa gubat, uban ang bagyo sa panahon sa alimpulos.
15 And Milcom shall go into exile, —he and his rulers together, saith Yahweh.
Ug ang ilang hari mabihag, siya ug ang iyang mga principe sa tingub, nagaingon si Jehova.
