2 Thessalonians 1

1 Paul and Silvanus and Timothy—unto the assembly of Thessalonians, in God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ, —

Pablo, y Silvano, y Timoteo, a la Iglesia de los tesalonicenses congregada en Dios nuestro Padre y en el Señor nuestro, Jesús, el Cristo:

2 Favour unto you, and peace, from God [our] Father and Lord Jesus Christ.

Gracia y paz tengáis de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesús, el Cristo.

3 We are bound, to be giving thanks, unto God, continually, concerning you, brethren, even as it is, meet; because your faith groweth exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all one to another aboundeth,

Debemos siempre dar gracias a Dios por vosotros, hermanos, como es digno, por cuanto vuestra fe va creciendo, y la caridad de todos y cada uno de vosotros abunda entre vosotros;

4 So that, we ourselves, in you, are boasting, in the assemblies of God, over your endurance and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations which ye are sustaining: —

tanto, que nosotros mismos nos gloriamos de vosotros en las Iglesias de Dios, de vuestra paciencia y fe en todas vuestras persecuciones y tribulaciones que sufrís;

5 A proof of the righteous judgment of God, to the end ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, in behalf of which ye are also suffering: —

en testimonio del justo juicio de Dios, para que seáis tenidos por dignos del Reino de Dios, por el cual asimismo padecéis.

6 If, at least, it is a, righteous thing with God, to recompense, affliction, unto them that afflict you,

Porque es justo acerca de Dios pagar con tribulación a los que os atribulan;

7 And, unto you that are afflicted, release, with us, —by the revealing of the Lord Jesus from heaven, with his messengers of power,

y a vosotros, que sois atribulados, daros reposo con nosotros, cuando se manifieste el Señor Jesús del cielo con los angeles de su potencia,

8 In a fiery flame; holding forth vengeance—against them that refuse to know God, and them who decline to hearken unto the glad-message of our Lord Jesus,

con llama de fuego, para dar el pago a los que no conocieron a Dios, ni obedecen al Evangelio del Señor nuestro, Jesús, el Cristo;

9 Who, indeed, a penalty, shall pay—age-abiding destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might— (aiōnios g166)

los cuales serán castigados de eterna perdición por la presencia del Señor, y por la gloria de su potencia, (aiōnios g166)

10 Whensoever he shall come, to be made all-glorious in his saints, and to be marvelled at in all who believed, —because our witness unto you was believed, —in that day.

cuando viniere para ser glorificado en sus santos, y a hacerse admirable en aquel día en todos los que creyeron (por cuanto nuestro testimonio ha sido creído entre vosotros);

11 Unto which end, we are also praying continually for you, that our God may count, you, worthy of your calling, and fulfil every good-pleasure of goodness and work of faith, with power, —

por lo cual, asimismo oramos siempre por vosotros, que nuestro Dios os tenga por dignos de su llamado, y llene de bondad a cada voluntad, y a toda obra de fe con potencia,

12 That the name of our Lord Jesus may be made all-glorious in you, and, ye, in him, According to the favour of our God and Lord Jesus Christ.

para que el Nombre del Señor nuestro, Jesús, el Cristo sea clarificado en vosotros, y vosotros en él, por la gracia de nuestro Dios y del Señor Jesús, el Cristo.
