2 Thessalonians 3
1 For the rest, brethren, be praying for us, —that, the word of the Lord, may be running, and gaining glory, according as [it did] even with you;
No demais, irmãos, rogai por nós, para que a palavra do Senhor tenha livre curso e seja glorificada, como também entre vós;
2 And that we may be rescued from the presuming and wicked men; for, not all, hold the faith.
E para que sejamos livres de homens dissolutos e maus, porque a fé não é de todos.
3 Faithful, is the Lord, —who will confirm you, and guard you from the wicked one:
Mas fiel é o Senhor, que vos confortará, e guardará do maligno.
4 We are persuaded, however, in the Lord, as touching you, —that, what things we give in charge, Ye [both] are doing and will do; —
E confiamos de vós no Senhor que também fazeis e fareis o que vos mandamos.
5 But may, the Lord, guide your hearts into the love of God, and into the endurance of the Christ.
Ora o Senhor encaminhe os vossos corações na caridade de Deus, e na paciência de Cristo.
6 Howbeit, we charge you, brethren, —that, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, ye be withdrawing yourselves from every brother—who, in a disorderly way, doth walk, and not according to the instruction which ye received from us.
Mandamo-vos, porém, irmãos, em nome de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, que vos aparteis de todo o irmão que andar desordenadamente, e não segundo a tradição que de nós recebeu.
7 For, ye yourselves, know, how needful it is to be imitating us, in that we were not disorderly among you,
Porque vós mesmos sabeis como convém imitar-nos, pois que não nos houvemos desordenadamente entre vós:
8 Nor, as a free-gift, did eat, bread, from anyone, but, with toil and hardship, night and day, working, —that we might not burden any of you; —
Nem de graça comemos o pão de nenhum, mas com trabalho e fadiga, trabalhando noite e dia, para não sermos pesados a nenhum de vós.
9 Not because we have not authority, but that, ourselves, as an ensample, we might hold forth unto you, —to the end ye might he imitating us.
Não porque não tivéssemos autoridade, mas para vos dar em nós mesmo exemplo, para nos imitardes.
10 For, even when we were with you, this, were we giving in charge unto you, —that, if any will not work, neither let him eat!
Porque, quando ainda estávamos convosco, vos mandamos isto, que, se alguém não quizer trabalhar, não coma também.
11 We hear, in fact, of some who are walking among you in a disorderly way, at nothing, working, yet too busily working!
Porque ouvimos que alguns entre vós andam desordenadamente, não trabalhando, antes fazendo coisas vãs.
12 Now, such as these, we charge and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, —that, with quietness, working, their own bread, they be eating.
Aos tais, porém, mandamos, e admoestamos por nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, que, trabalhando com sossego, comam o seu próprio pão.
13 But, ye, brethren, be not weary in well-doing; —
E vós, irmãos, não vos canceis de fazer bem.
14 And, if anyone be not giving ear unto our word through means of this letter, on this one, set a mark—not to be mixing yourselves up with him, —that he may be reproved;
Porém, se alguém não obedecer à nossa palavra escrita nesta carta, notai o tal, e não vos mistureis com ele, para que se envergonhe.
15 And, not as an enemy, be esteeming him, but be admonishing him, as a brother.
Todavia não o tenhais como inimigo, mas admoestai-o como irmão.
16 But may, the Lord of peace himself, give you peace, always, in every way. The Lord, be with you all.
Ora o mesmo Senhor da paz vos dê sempre paz em toda a maneira. O Senhor seja com todos vós.
17 The salutation of Paul—with my own hand, which is a sign in every letter: thus, I write.
Saudação da minha própria mão, de mim, Paulo, que é o sinal em todas as epístolas: assim escrevo.
18 The favour of our Lord Jesus Christ, be with you all.
A graça de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo seja com todos vós. amém.
