2 Samuel 7

1 And it came to pass, when the king had taken up his abode in his house, —and Yahweh had given him rest round about, from all his enemies,

൧യഹോവ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള സകലശത്രുക്കളിൽനിന്ന് ദാവീദ് രാജാവിന് സ്വസ്ഥത നല്കിയശേഷം രാജാവ് തന്റെ അരമനയിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന കാലത്ത്

2 that the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See, I pray thee—I, have my abode in a house, of cedar, but, the ark of God, abideth in, the midst, of curtains.

൨ഒരിക്കൽ രാജാവ് നാഥാൻപ്രവാചകനോട്: “ഇതാ, ഞാൻ ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടുള്ള കൊട്ടാരത്തിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകമോ തിരശ്ശീലകൊണ്ടുള്ള കൂടാരത്തിനകത്ത് ഇരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

3 And Nathan said unto the king, All that is in thy heart, go—do, —for Yahweh is with thee.

൩നാഥാൻ രാജാവിനോട്: “നീ ചെന്ന് നിന്റെ മനസ്സിലുള്ളതെല്ലാം ചെയ്തുകൊള്ളുക; യഹോവ നിന്നോട് കൂടി ഉണ്ട്” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

4 But so it was, in that night, that the word of Yahweh came unto Nathan, saying:

൪എന്നാൽ അന്ന് രാത്രി യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട് നാഥാന് ഉണ്ടായത് എന്തെന്നാൽ:

5 Go and say unto my servant—unto David: Thus, saith Yahweh, —Shalt, thou, build me a house, for me to dwell in;

൫“എന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിനോടു നീ ചെന്ന് പറയുക: ‘യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം കല്പിക്കുന്നു: എനിക്ക് അധിവസിക്കുന്നതിന് നീ ഒരു ആലയം പണിയുമോ?

6 seeing that I have not dwelt in a house, since the day that I brought up the sons of Israel out of Egypt, even unto this day, —but have been wandering in a tent as my habitation?

൬ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളെ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്ന് കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നാൾമുതൽ ഇന്നുവരെയും ഞാൻ ഒരു ആലയത്തിൽ അധിവസിക്കാതെ കൂടാരത്തിലും നിവാസത്തിലുമല്ലയോ സഞ്ചരിച്ചുവരുന്നത്.

7 Wheresoever I have wandered with any of the sons of Israel, spake I ever, a word, with any one of the tribes of Israel, whom I charged to shepherd my people Israel, saying, —Wherefore have ye not built me a house, of cedar?

൭എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ മേയ്ക്കുവാൻ ഞാൻ കല്പിച്ചാക്കിയ യിസ്രായേൽ ഗോത്രനായകന്മാരില്‍ ഒന്നിനോട് “എനിക്ക് ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ട് ഒരു ആലയം പണിയാതിരിക്കുന്നത് എന്ത്?” എന്ന് എല്ലായിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടുംകൂടി ഞാൻ സഞ്ചരിച്ചുവന്ന സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ എവിടെവച്ചെങ്കിലും ഒരു വാക്ക് കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ?’

8 Now, therefore, thus, shalt thou say unto my servant, unto David: Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, I myself, took thee away from the pasture, from after the flock, —to become leader over my people, over Israel;

൮ആകയാൽ നീ എന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിനോട് പറയേണ്ടതെന്തെന്നാൽ: ‘സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്മേൽ പ്രഭുവായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ഞാൻ നിന്നെ പുല്പുറത്തു നിന്ന്, ആടുകളെ നോക്കിനടക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നെ എടുത്തു.

9 and was with thee, whithersoever thou didst go, and have cut off all thine enemies, from before thee, —and will make thee a name, like the name of the great ones who are in the earth;

൯നീ സഞ്ചരിച്ചുവന്ന എല്ലായിടത്തും ഞാൻ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്ന് നിന്റെ സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്ന് ഛേദിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള മഹാന്മാരുടെ പേരുപോലെ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ പേര് വലുതാക്കും.

10 and will appoint a place for my people, for Israel, and will plant them, and they shall inhabit their place, and be unsettled no more, —neither shall the sons of perversity again humiliate them, as at first;

൧൦ഞാൻ എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന് ഒരു സ്ഥലം കല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുകയും അവർ സ്വന്തസ്ഥലത്തു വസിച്ച് അവിടെനിന്ന് ഇളകാതിരിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവരെ നടുകയും ചെയ്യും. ഇനി ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ അവരെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കുകയില്ല. പണ്ടത്തെപ്പോലെയും എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്മേൽ ഞാൻ ന്യായാധിപന്മാരെ കല്പിച്ചാക്കിയ കാലത്തെപ്പോലെയും

11 even from the day when I put judges in charge over my people Israel, thus will I give thee rest from all thine enemies. And Yahweh must tell thee that, a house, will Yahweh make for thee.

൧൧നിന്റെ സകലശത്രുക്കളിൽനിന്ന് നിനക്ക് സ്വസ്ഥത നല്കും. അത്രയുമല്ല, യഹോവ നിനക്ക് ഒരു ഗൃഹം ഉണ്ടാക്കുമെന്ന് യഹോവ നിന്നോട് അറിയിക്കുന്നു.

12 And it shall be that, when thy days shall be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, then will I raise up thy seed after thee, which proceedeth from thine own body, —and I will establish his kingdom.

൧൨നിന്നിൽനിന്ന് ഉത്ഭവിക്കുവാനിരിക്കുന്ന സന്തതിയെ നിന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലം തികഞ്ഞിട്ട് നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടുകൂടി നീ നിദ്രകൊള്ളുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ നിനക്ക് പിന്തുടർച്ചയായി സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുത്തുകയും അവന്റെ രാജത്വം ഉറപ്പാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

13 He, shall build a house for my name, —and I will establish his kingly throne unto times age-abiding:

൧൩അവൻ എന്റെ നാമത്തിന് ഒരു ആലയം പണിയും; ഞാൻ അവന്റെ രാജത്വത്തിന്റെ സിംഹാസനം എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥിരമാക്കും.

14 I, will become his father, And, he, shall become my son: If he commit iniquity, then will I correct him, with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the sons of men;

൧൪ഞാൻ അവന് പിതാവും അവൻ എനിക്ക് പുത്രനും ആയിരിക്കും; അവൻ കുറ്റം ചെയ്താൽ ഞാൻ അവനെ മനുഷ്യരുടെ വടികൊണ്ടും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരുടെ അടികൊണ്ടും ശിക്ഷിക്കും.

15 But, my lovingkindness, shall not depart from him, —as I caused it to depart from Saul, whom I caused to depart from before thee.

൧൫എങ്കിലും നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്ന് ഞാൻ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞ ശൌലിങ്കൽനിന്ന് ഞാൻ എന്റെ ദയ നീക്കിയതുപോലെ അത് അവങ്കൽനിന്ന് നീങ്ങിപ്പോകുകയില്ല.

16 So shall thy house and thy kingdom be made steadfast unto times age-abiding, before thee, —thy throne, shall be established unto times age-abiding.

൧൬നിന്റെ ഗൃഹവും നിന്റെ രാജത്വവും എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കും; നിന്റെ സിംഹാസനവും എന്നേക്കും ഉറച്ചിരിക്കും’”.

17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so, spake Nathan unto David.

൧൭ഈ സകലവാക്കുകൾക്കും ദർശനത്തിനും അനുസരിച്ച് നാഥാൻ ദാവീദിനോട് സംസാരിച്ചു.

18 Then entered King David, and tarried before Yahweh, —and said—Who am, I, My Lord, Yahweh, and what is my house, that thou hast brought me, hitherto;

൧൮അപ്പോൾ ദാവീദ്‌ രാജാവ് അകത്ത് ചെന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ഇരുന്നു പറഞ്ഞത്: “കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, അങ്ങ് എന്നെ ഇത്രത്തോളം കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ ഞാൻ ആര്? എന്റെ ഗൃഹവും എന്തുള്ളു?

19 and hast yet further made this seem little in thine eyes, My Lord, Yahweh, in that thou hast spoken, even of the house, of thy servant, for a great while to come? This, then is the law of manhood, O My Lord, Yahweh!

൧൯കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, ഇതും പോരാ എന്ന് അങ്ങയ്ക്ക് തോന്നീട്ട് വരുവാനുള്ള ദീർഘകാലത്തേക്ക് അടിയന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും അങ്ങ് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, ഇതു മനുഷ്യർക്ക് ഉപദേശമല്ലയോ?

20 What more, then, can David yet further speak unto thee, —seeing that, thou thyself knowest thy servant, O My Lord Yahweh?

൨൦ദാവീദ് ഇനി അങ്ങയോട് എന്ത് പറയേണ്ടു? കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, അങ്ങ് അടിയനെ അറിയുന്നു.

21 For the sake of thine own word, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this great thing, —making it known unto thy servant.

൨൧അങ്ങയുടെ വചനം നിമിത്തവും അങ്ങയുടെ ഹൃദയപ്രകാരവും അല്ലയോ? അങ്ങ് ഈ വൻകാര്യം ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്ത് അടിയനെ അറിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.

22 For this cause, hast thou magnified thyself, O Yahweh Elohim, —for there is none like unto, thee, yea there is no God besides thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

൨൨അതുകൊണ്ട് കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, അങ്ങ് വലിയവൻ ആകുന്നു; അങ്ങയെപ്പോലെ ഒരുത്തനുമില്ല; ഞങ്ങൾ സ്വന്തചെവികൊണ്ട് കേട്ട സകലവും ഓര്‍ത്താല്‍ അങ്ങ് അല്ലാതെ ഒരു ദൈവവും ഇല്ല.

23 Who, then, is like thy people, like Israel, a nation alone in the earth? whom God went to redeem for himself as a people, so to make himself a name, and to do for you the great deed, fearful things also for thy land, to make way for thy people, whom thou hadst redeemed for thyself, out of Egypt, [dealing with] nations and their god’s;

൨൩അങ്ങയ്ക്ക് ജനമായി വീണ്ടെടുക്കുവാനും അങ്ങയ്ക്ക് ഒരു നാമം സമ്പാദിക്കുവാനും അങ്ങ് ചെന്നിരിക്കുന്ന അങ്ങയുടെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന് തുല്യമായി ഭൂമിയിൽ ഏതൊരു ജനതയുള്ളു? ദൈവമേ, അങ്ങ് മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നും ജനതകളുടെയും അവരുടെ ദേവന്മാരുടെയും അധീനത്തിൽ നിന്നും അങ്ങയ്ക്കായി വീണ്ടെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന അങ്ങയുടെ ജനം കാൺകെ അങ്ങയ്ക്കുവേണ്ടി വൻകാര്യവും അങ്ങയുടെ ദേശത്തിനുവേണ്ടി ഭയങ്കരകാര്യങ്ങളും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

24 and hast established for thyself thy people Israel—for thyself as a people, unto times age-abiding, —thou thyself, also, O Yahweh, becoming their God.

൨൪അങ്ങ് അങ്ങയുടെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ എന്നേക്കും അങ്ങയുടെ സ്വന്ത ജനമായിരിക്കുവാൻ സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുത്തി, യഹോവേ, അങ്ങ് അവർക്ക് ദൈവമായിത്തീർന്നും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

25 Now, therefore, O Yahweh Elohim, the word which thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, confirm thou, unto times age-abiding, —and do, as thou hast spoken:

൨൫ഇപ്പോഴും ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അങ്ങ് അടിയനെയും അടിയന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെയും കുറിച്ച് അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനത്തെ എന്നേക്കും ഉറപ്പാക്കി അരുളപ്പാടുപോലെ ചെയ്യണമേ.

26 that thy name may be age-abidingly magnified, saying, Yahweh of hosts, is God over Israel, and so, the house of thy servant David, be established before thee.

൨൬സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിന് ദൈവം എന്നിങ്ങനെ അങ്ങയുടെ നാമം എന്നേക്കും മഹത്വീകരിക്കപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ; അങ്ങയുടെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ ഗൃഹം അങ്ങയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ സ്ഥരിമായിരിക്കട്ടെ.

27 For, thou, O Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel, hast unveiled the ear of thy servant, saying—A house, will I build for thee. For this cause, hath thy servant found in his heart, to pray unto thee, this prayer.

൨൭ഞാൻ നിനക്ക് ഒരു ഗൃഹം പണിയുമെന്ന് അങ്ങ് അടിയന് വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയതുകൊണ്ട്, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവേ, അങ്ങയോട് ഈ പ്രാർത്ഥന കഴിക്കുവാൻ അടിയൻ ധൈര്യംപ്രാപിച്ചു.

28 Now, therefore, O My Lord, Yahweh, thou, art God, and, thy words, shall prove true, —therefore hast thou spoken unto thy servant this goodness.

൨൮ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അങ്ങ് തന്നെ ആകുന്നു ദൈവം; അങ്ങയുടെ വചനങ്ങൾ സത്യം ആകുന്നു; അടിയന് ഈ നന്മയെ അങ്ങ് വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

29 Now, therefore, be pleased to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue age-abidingly before thee, —for, thou, O My Lord, Yahweh, hast spoken, therefore, with thine own blessing, shall the house of thy servant be age-abidingly blessed.

൨൯അതുകൊണ്ട് ഇപ്പോൾ അടിയന്റെ ഗൃഹം തിരുമുമ്പിൽ എന്നേക്കും ഇരിക്കുന്നതിന് പ്രസാദം തോന്നി അനുഗ്രഹിക്കണമേ; ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അങ്ങ് അങ്ങനെ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ; അങ്ങയുടെ അനുഗ്രഹത്താൽ അടിയന്റെ ഗൃഹം എന്നേക്കും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കട്ടെ”.
