2 Samuel 23
1 Now, these, are the last words of David, —The oracle of David, son of Jesse, Yea the oracle of The man raised up on high, The Anointed of the God of Jacob, the Delight of the Songs of Israel:
൧ദാവീദിന്റെ അന്ത്യവാക്യങ്ങളാണിത്: “യിശ്ശായിപുത്രൻ ദാവീദ് ചൊല്ലുന്നു; ഔന്നത്യം പ്രാപിച്ച പുരുഷൻ ചൊല്ലുന്നു; യാക്കോബിൻ ദൈവത്താൽ അഭിഷിക്തൻ, യിസ്രായേലിൻ മധുരഗായകൻ തന്നെ.
2 The Spirit of Yahweh, spake in me, —And, his word, was on my tongue;
൨യഹോവയുടെ ആത്മാവ് എന്നിലൂടെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അവിടുത്തെ വചനം എന്റെ നാവിന്മേൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
3 Said the God of Israel, Unto me, spake the Rock of Israel: —One Ruling over Men, A Righteous One, ruling in the reverence of God,
൩യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവം കല്പിച്ചു; യിസ്രായേലിൻ പാറ എന്നോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു: ‘മനുഷ്യരെ നീതിമാനായി ഭരിക്കുന്നവൻ,
4 Is even as the light of the morning when ariseth the sun, —A morning, without clouds, [As] from brightness, [and] from rain, the fresh shoots out of the earth.
൪ദൈവഭയത്തോടെ വാഴുന്നവൻ, മേഘമില്ലാത്ത പ്രഭാതകാലത്ത് സുര്യോദയത്തിങ്കലെ പ്രകാശത്തിനു തുല്യൻ; മഴയ്ക്കു ശേഷം സൂര്യകാന്തിയാൽ ഭൂമിയിൽ മുളയ്ക്കുന്ന ഇളമ്പുല്ലിനു തുല്യൻ.’
5 When, not so, was my house with GOD, Then, a covenant age-abiding, he appointed me, Ordered in all things and guarded, Now that it is all my salvation and all my desire, Will he not make it shoot forth?
൫ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ എന്റെ ഗൃഹം അതുപോലെയല്ലയോ? അവിടുന്ന് എന്നോട് ഒരു ശാശ്വതനിയമം ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ: അത് എല്ലാറ്റിലും സ്ഥാപിതവും സ്ഥിരവുമായിരിക്കുന്നു. അവിടുന്ന് എനിക്ക് സകലരക്ഷയും വാഞ്ഛയും വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുകയില്ലയോ?
6 But, as for the abandoned, like thorns to be tossed away are they all, —For, not with the hand, can they be taken;
൬എന്നാൽ സകലനീചന്മാരും വലിച്ചെറിയപ്പെടുന്ന മുള്ളുപോലെ ആകുന്നു അവയെ കൈകൊണ്ട് എടുക്കാവതല്ലല്ലോ.
7 But, the man that would touch them, Must fence himself with iron, and the shaft of a spear, —Then, with fire, shall they be, consumed, on the spot!
൭അവയെ തൊടുവാൻ തുനിയുന്നവൻ ഇരിമ്പും കുന്തപ്പിടിയും പിടിച്ചിരിക്കണം; അവയെ അവ കിടക്കുന്നേടത്തു തന്നെ തീ വെച്ചു ചുട്ടുകളയണം”.
8 These, are the names of the mighty men, who belonged to David, —The president a Tachmonite head of the charioteers, the same, was Adino the Eznite, for eight hundred, slain at one time.
൮ദാവീദിന് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന വീരന്മാരുടെ പേരുകളാണിത്: തഹ്കെമോന്യൻ യോശേബ്-ബശ്ശേബെത്ത്; അവൻ നായകന്മാരിൽ തലവൻ; എണ്ണൂറുപേരെ ഒരേ സമയത്ത് ആക്രമിച്ചു കൊന്ന എസ്ന്യൻ അദീനോ ഇവൻ തന്നെ.
9 And, after him, Eleazar son of Dodo, son of Ahohi, —in the hero-class of mighty men, with David, when they reproached the Philistines, they were gathered together there to battle, but the men of Israel had gone up;
൯അവന്റെ ശേഷം ഒരു അഹോഹ്യന്റെ മകനായ ദോദായിയുടെ മകൻ എലെയാസാർ; അവൻ ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ യുദ്ധത്തിന് കൂടിയിരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്ന് യിസ്രായേല്യർ പൊയ്ക്കളഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ദാവീദിനോടുകൂടി നിന്നു ഫെലിസ്ത്യരെ വെല്ലുവിളിച്ച മൂന്നു വീരന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ ആയിരുന്നു.
10 he, however, arose and smote among the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto his sword, so Yahweh wrought a great victory on that day, —the people, coming back after him, only to strip the slain.
൧൦അവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് കൈതളർന്ന് വാളോട് പറ്റിപ്പോകുംവരെ ഫെലിസ്ത്യരെ വെട്ടി; അന്ന് യഹോവ വലിയ ഒരു ജയം നല്കി; കൊള്ളയിടുവാൻ മാത്രമേ പടജ്ജനം അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മടങ്ങിവന്നുള്ളു.
11 And, after him, Shammah son of Agee, the Hararite, —and, when the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, there being at hand an allotment of field-land full of lentils, but, the people, having fled from the face of the Philistines,
൧൧അവന്റശേഷം ഹാരാര്യനായ ആഗേയുടെ മകനായ ശമ്മാ; ഒരിക്കൽ ചെറുപയർ ഉള്ള ഒരു വയലിൽ കവൎച്ചെക്കു ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ കൂടിവന്നപ്പോൾ ജനം ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്ന് ഓടിപ്പോയി.
12 then took he his stand in the midst of the allotment, and defended it, and smote the Philistines, —and Yahweh wrought a great victory.
൧൨അവൻ വയലിന്റെ നടുവിൽനിന്നു അതിനെ കാത്തു ഫെലിസ്ത്യരെ വെട്ടി. അങ്ങനെ യഹോവ വലിയ ഒരു ജയം നല്കി.
13 And three of the thirty chiefs descended, and came in, towards harvest, unto David, unto the cave of Adullam, —although, a troop of Philistines, were encamped in the vale of Rephaim;
൧൩മുപ്പത് നായകന്മാരിൽ മൂന്നുപേർ കൊയ്ത്തുകാലത്ത് അദുല്ലാംഗുഹയിൽ ദാവീദിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു; ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ സൈന്യം രെഫയീം താഴ്വരയിൽ പാളയമിറങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.
14 and, David, then was in a stronghold, —and, a garrison of Philistines, was then in Bethlehem.
൧൪അന്ന് ദാവീദ് കോട്ടയിൽ ആയിരുന്നു; ഫെലിസ്ത്യർക്ക് ബേത്ത്-ലേഹേമിൽ അക്കാലത്ത് ഒരു കാവൽപട്ടാളം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
15 And David longed, and said, —Who will give me to drink water out of the well of Bethlehem, that is within the gate?
൧൫“ബേത്ത്-ലേഹേം പട്ടണവാതില്‍ക്കലെ കിണറ്റിൽനിന്നു വെള്ളം എനിക്ക് കുടിക്കുവാൻ ആര് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു തരും” എന്ന് ദാവീദ് വാഞ്ഛയോടെ പറഞ്ഞു.
16 And the three mighty men brake through the camp of Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was within the gate, and bare it, and brought it in unto David, —yet would he not drink, but poured it out unto Yahweh,
൧൬അപ്പോൾ ആ മൂന്നു വീരന്മാരും ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ പാളയത്തിൽകൂടി കടന്നുചെന്ന് ബേത്ത്-ലേഹേം പട്ടണവാതില്‍ക്കലെ കിണറ്റിൽനിന്നു വെള്ളംകോരി ദാവീദിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; എന്നാൽ അവൻ അത് കുടിക്കുവാൻ മനസ്സില്ലാതെ യഹോവയ്ക്കു നിവേദിച്ച് ഒഴിച്ചു:
17 and said—Be it far from me, O Yahweh, that I should do this! is it not the blood of the men who went with their lives [in their hands]? So he would not drink it. These things, did the three mighty men.
൧൭“യഹോവേ, അവരുടെ പ്രാണനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുപോയ പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ രക്തം ഞാൻ കുടിക്കുകയോ? ഇത് ചെയ്യുവാൻ എനിക്ക് ഇടയാകരുതേ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അത് കുടിക്കുവാൻ അവന് മനസ്സില്ലായിരുന്നു. ഇതാകുന്നു ഈ മൂന്നു വീരന്മാർ ചെയ്തത്.
18 And. Abishai brother of Joab son of Zeruiah, he, was chief of three, in that he brandished his spear against three hundred whom he slew; and, he, had a name among three.
൧൮യോവാബിന്റെ സഹോദരനും സെരൂയയുടെ മകനുമായ അബീശായി മൂന്നുപേരിൽ പ്രധാനി ആയിരുന്നു. അവൻ തന്റെ കുന്തം മുന്നൂറുപേരുടെ നേരെ ഓങ്ങി, അവരെ കൊന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ട് അവൻ മൂന്നുപേരിൽവച്ച് കീർത്തി പ്രാപിച്ചു.
19 Was he not most honourable, of the three, and so became their captain? Nevertheless, unto the three, he attained not.
൧൯ആ മൂന്നുപേരിൽ അബീശായി അല്ലേ മാനം ഏറിയവൻ? അതുകൊണ്ട് അവൻ അവർക്ക് തലവനായിത്തീർന്നു. എങ്കിലും അവൻ ആദ്യത്തെ മൂന്നുപേരോളം വരുകയില്ല.
20 Benaiah also, son of Jehoiadah, son of an active man, hero of many a deed, a man of Kabzeel, he, smote the two sons of Ariel of Moab, he, also went down and smote a lion in the midst of a pit, on a day of snow;
൨൦കബ്സേലിൽ ഒരു പരാക്രമശാലിയുടെ മകനായ യെഹോയാദയുടെ മകൻ ബെനായാവും വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികൾ ചെയ്തു; അവൻ മോവാബിലെ സിംഹതുല്യരും അരിയേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുമായ രണ്ട് വീരന്മാരെ കൊന്നതുകൂടാതെ മഞ്ഞുകാലത്ത് ഒരു ഗുഹയിൽ ചെന്ന് ഒരു സിംഹത്തെയും കൊന്നു.
21 he, also smote an Egyptian, who was of valiant bearing, and, in the hand of the Egyptian, was a spear, but he went down unto him with a staff, —and wrested the spear out of the hand of the Egyptian, and slew him with his own spear.
൨൧അവൻ കോമളനായ ഒരു മിസ്രയീമ്യനെയും സംഹരിച്ചു; മിസ്രയീമ്യന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഒരു കുന്തം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അവൻ ഒരു വടിയുംകൊണ്ട് അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു മിസ്രയീമ്യന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും കുന്തം പിടിച്ചുപറിച്ചു കുന്തംകൊണ്ട് അവനെ കൊന്നു.
22 These things, did Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and, he, had a name among three mighty men.
൨൨ഇത് യെഹോയാദയുടെ മകനായ ബെനായാവ് ചെയ്തു, മൂന്നു വീരന്മാരിൽ കീർത്തി പ്രാപിച്ചു.
23 He was the most honourable, of thirty, although, unto the three, he attained no, —so David added him to his council.
൨൩അവൻ മുപ്പതുപേരിൽ മാനമേറിയവനായിരുന്നു എങ്കിലും ആദ്യത്തെ മൂന്നുപേരോളം വരുകയില്ല. ദാവീദ് അവനെ തന്റെ അംഗരക്ഷകരുടെ നായകനാക്കി.
24 Asahel, brother of Joab, was among the thirty, —Elhanan, son of Dodo, of Bethlehem;
൨൪യോവാബിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അസാഹേൽ മുപ്പതുപേരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ ആയിരുന്നു; അവർ ആരെന്നാൽ: ബേത്ത്-ലേഹേമ്യനായ ദോദോവിന്റെ മകൻ എൽഹാനാൻ, ഹരോദ്യൻ ശമ്മാ, ഹരോദ്യൻ എലീക്കാ,
25 Shammah, the Harodite; Elika, the Harodite;
൨൫പൽത്യൻ ഹേലെസ്, തെക്കോവ്യനായ ഇക്കേശിന്റെ മകൻ ഈരാ,
26 Helez, the Paltite, Ira, son of Ikkesh, the Tekoite;
൨൬അനഥോത്യൻ അബീയേസെർ, ഹൂശാത്യൻ മെബുന്നായി, അഹോഹ്യൻ സൽമോൻ,
27 Abiezer, the Anathothite, Mebunnai, the Hushathite;
൨൭നെത്തോഫാത്യൻ മഹരായി,
28 Zalmon, the Ahohite, Maharai, the Netophathite;
൨൮നെതോഫാത്യനായ ബാനയുടെ മകൻ ഹേലെബ്,
29 Heleb, son of Baanah, the Netophathite, —Ittai, son of Ribai, of Gibeah, of the sons of Benjamin;
൨൯ബെന്യാമീന്യരുടെ ഗിബെയയിൽനിന്നുള്ള രീബായിയുടെ മകൻ ഇത്ഥായി,
30 Benaiah, a Pirathonite, Hiddai, of the torrents of Gaash;
൩൦പിരാഥോന്യൻ ബെനായ്യാവ്,
31 Abi-albon, the Arbathite, Azmaveth, the Barhumite;
൩൧നഹലേഗാശ് അരുവികളിൽനിന്ന് ഹിദ്ദായി, അർബാത്യൻ അബീ-അല്ബോൻ, ബർഹൂമ്യൻ അസ്മാവെത്ത്,
32 Eliahba, the Shaalbonite, (Of) the sons of Jashen, Jonathan;
൩൨ശാൽബോന്യൻ എല്യഹ്ബാ, യാശേന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ:
33 Shammah, the Hararite, Ahiam, son of Sharar, the Ararite;
൩൩യോനാഥാൻ, ഹാരാര്യൻ ശമ്മ, അരാര്യനായ ശാരാരിന്റെ മകൻ അഹീരാം,
34 Eliphelet, son of Ahasbai, son of the Maacathite. Eliam, son of Ahithophel, the Gilonite.
൩൪മയഖാത്യന്റെ മകനായ അഹശ്ബായിയുടെ മകൻ എലീഫേലെത്, ഗീലോന്യനായ അഹീഥോഫെലിന്റെ മകൻ എലീയാം,
35 Hezro, the Carmelite, Paarai, the Arbite;
൩൫കർമ്മേല്യൻ ഹെസ്രോ, അർബ്യൻ പാറായി,
36 Igal, son of Nathan, of Zobah, Bani, the Gadite;
൩൬സോബക്കാരനായ നാഥാന്റെ മകൻ യിഗാൽ,
37 Zelek, the Ammonite, —Naharai, the Beerothite, armour bearers to Joab son of Zeruiah;
൩൭ഗാദ്യൻ ബാനി, സെരൂയയുടെ മകനായ യോവാബിന്റെ ആയുധവാഹകന്മാരായ അമ്മോന്യൻ സേലെക്ക്, ബെരോയോത്യൻ നഹരായി.
38 Ira, the Ithrite, Gareb, the Ithrite;
൩൮യിത്രീയൻ ഈരാ, യിത്രിയൻ ഗാരേബ്,
39 Uriah, the Hittite, In all, thirty and seven.
൩൯ഹിത്യൻ ഊരീയാവ് ഇങ്ങനെ ആകെ മുപ്പത്തേഴുപേർ.
