1 Timothy 6
1 Let, as many as are servants under a yoke, be counting, their own masters, worthy, of all honour, lest, the name of God and the teaching, be defamed.
Nĩ kwagĩrĩire andũ arĩa ngombo, o acio maikaraga ta mekĩrĩtwo icooki rĩa ũkombo ngingo matuage atĩ aathani ao nĩ a kũheagwo gĩtĩĩo gĩothe, nĩgeetha rĩĩtwa rĩa Ngai na ũrutani witũ itikanacambio.
2 They, however, that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are, brethren but, the more, be doing them service, because, believing and beloved, are they who, from the good workmanship, receive advantage. These things, be teaching, and exhorting: —
Arĩa marĩ na aathani metĩkĩtie matikamaime gĩtĩĩo nĩ ũndũ wa gũkorwo atĩ nĩ ariũ na aarĩ a Ithe wao. Handũ ha ũguo, nĩmamatungatagĩre wega makĩria, tondũ arĩa maragunĩka nĩ ũndũ wa ũtungata wao nĩ andũ metĩkĩtie, na nĩ andũ mendetwo. Rutanaga maũndũ macio na ũmaringagĩrĩrie andũ.
3 If anyone doth otherwise teach, and doth not adhere to healthful discourses—those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the teaching that is, according to godliness,
Mũndũ o na ũrĩkũ angĩrutana ũrutani wa maheeni na akorwo ndetĩkanĩtie na ũrutani ũrĩa mwega wa Mwathani witũ Jesũ Kristũ na ũrutani ũrĩa wa kwĩyamũrĩra Ngai-rĩ,
4 He is beclouded, knowing, nothing, rightly, but is diseased about questionings, and word-battles—out of which spring envy, strife, defamations, wicked surmising,
mũndũ ũcio nĩ mwĩtĩĩi na ndarĩ ũndũ oĩ. Ũcio endete o ngarari itarĩ kĩguni na njũgitano ikoniĩ ciugo iria irehaga ũiru, na ngũĩ, na mĩario mĩũru, na gwĩkũũa maũndũ mooru,
5 incessant quarrellings of men wholly corrupt in their mind and bereft of the truth, —supposing godliness to be, a means of gain!
na kũgiana gũtathiraga gatagatĩ ka andũ arĩa marĩ meciiria mooru, arĩa mathirĩirwo nĩ ũhoro-ũrĩa-wa-ma, na arĩa meciiragia atĩ ũhoro wa kwĩyamũrĩra Ngai nĩ njĩra ya gũtũma mũndũ atonge.
6 Now it is a great means of gain—godliness, with a sufficiency of one’s own;
No rĩrĩ, kwĩyamũrĩra Ngai na kũiganwo nĩ kĩrĩa ũrĩ na kĩo, ũcio nĩ ũtonga mũnene.
7 For, nothing, brought we into the world, neither, to take anything out, are we able; —
Nĩgũkorwo gũtirĩ kĩndũ twarehire gũkũ thĩ, na gũtirĩ kĩndũ tũngĩhota kũruta kuo.
8 And, having sustenance and covering, we shall be content;
No tũngĩgĩa na irio, na tũgĩe na nguo-rĩ, no tũiganwo nĩcio.
9 But, they who are determined to be rich, fall into temptation, and a snare, and many foolish and hurtful covetings, the which, sink men into ruin and destruction, —
Andũ arĩa mendaga gũtonga-rĩ, nĩmagũũaga magerio-inĩ o na mũtego-inĩ wa merirĩria maingĩ ma ũrimũ ma kũmathũkia, marĩa mamagũithagia mwanangĩko-inĩ, makamaniina.
10 For, a root of all the vices, is the love of money, which, some, being eager for, have been seduced from the faith, and have pierced, themselves, about with many pangs.
Tondũ kwenda mbeeca nĩkĩo kĩhumo kĩa mĩthemba yothe ya ũũru. Andũ amwe nĩ ũndũ wa kwenda mbeeca mũno-rĩ, nĩmatigĩte wĩtĩkio, na magetheeca ngoro na kĩeha kĩingĩ.
11 But, thou, O man of God! from these things, flee! and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, meekness;
No wee mũndũ wa Ngai-rĩ, ũrĩra maũndũ macio mothe, na ũthingatage ũthingu, na kwĩyamũrĩra Ngai, na wĩtĩkio, na wendani, na gũkirĩrĩria, na ũhooreri.
12 Be contesting the noble contest of the faith, —lay hold of the age-abiding life—unto which thou wast called, and didst make the noble confession before many witnesses. (aiōnios g166)

13 I charge thee, before God, who engendereth life in all things, and Christ Jesus, who, before Pontius Pilate, witnessed the noble confession,

14 That thou keep the commandment without spot, free from reproach, until the forthshining of our Lord Jesus Christ—
ũrũmagie rĩathani rĩu wathĩtwo narĩo ũtarĩ na kĩmeni kana ũcuuke nginya hĩndĩ ĩrĩa Mwathani witũ Jesũ Kristũ akoonanio,
15 Which, in its own fit times, the happy and only Potentate will shew—the King of them that reign, and Lord of them that wield lordship,
ũrĩa Ngai akoonania ihinda rĩake rĩakinya. Ngai ũcio-rĩ, nĩwe mwene hinya ũrĩa wa kũgoocagwo, na nowe Mũthamaki wa athamaki, na Mwathani wa aathani.
16 Who alone hath immortality, dwelling in light unapproachable, —Whom no man hath seen—nor can see: unto whom, be honour and might age-abiding. Amen. (aiōnios g166)
Ningĩ nowe wiki ũtũũraga muoyo ũrĩa ũtathiraga, na agatũũra ũtheri-inĩ ũrĩa gũtarĩ mũndũ ũngĩhota kũũkuhĩrĩria. Gũtirĩ mũndũ ũrĩ wamuona kana ũngĩhota kũmuona. Nake arotĩĩagwo, na arogĩa na wathani ũrĩa ũtathiraga nginya tene. Ameni. (aiōnios g166)
17 Upon them who are rich in the present age, lay thou charge—not to be high-minded, nor to have set their hope on, riches’, uncertainty, —but on God, who offereth us all things richly for enjoying, (aiōn g165)
Athaga andũ arĩa itonga gũkũ thĩ ĩno tũrĩ matigage kwĩgaatha kana kũiga mwĩhoko wao harĩ thĩinĩ wa ũtonga ũcio ũtamenyagĩrwo, no maigage mwĩhoko wao harĩ Ngai ũrĩa ũtũheaga indo ciothe na ũtaana, nĩguo itũkenagie. (aiōn g165)
18 To be doing good, to be rich in noble works, to be, generous in giving, ready for fellowship, —
Maathe mekage wega, na maingĩhĩrwo nĩ gwĩkaga ciĩko njega, na matuĩke andũ a gũtugana na kũgayagĩra andũ indo ciao na ũtaana.
19 Treasuring up for themselves a good foundation for the future, that they may lay hold on the life [which is life] indeed.
Meka ũguo nĩmarĩĩigagĩra kĩgĩĩna kĩao ene kĩrĩ mũthingi mũrũmu nĩ ũndũ wa mahinda marĩa magooka, na nĩgeetha mahote kwĩgwatĩra muoyo, na nĩguo muoyo ũrĩa wa ma kũna.
20 O Timothy! that which hath been entrusted, do thou guard, avoiding the profane pratings and oppositions of falsely named knowledge, —
Atĩrĩrĩ, Timotheo, gitagĩra kĩrĩa wĩhokeirwo. Wĩthemage inegene rĩa arĩa matetigĩrĩte Ngai, na ngarari cia mathugunda ma maheeni marĩa matuagwo atĩ nĩmo ũmenyo na ti ũmenyo kũrĩ.
21 Which, some professing, concerning the faith, have missed the mark! Favour be with you.
Andũ amwe metĩkĩtie atĩ marĩ na ũmenyo ũcio nĩmatũgũũgĩte na makoima wĩtĩkio-inĩ. Wega wa Ngai ũrogĩa na inyuĩ.
