< 1 Peter 2 >

1 Putting away, therefore, all vice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envyings and all detractions,
Kulwejo mubhute ku mbali obhunyake bhwona, obhujigi-jigi, olulimi, lifuwa na inyaika mbibhi.
2 As new-born babes, for the pure milk that is for the mind, eagerly crave, that, thereby, ye may grow unto salvation: —
Lwa bhana abhalela omuligila amata ganu gali ge kisi age chinyamwoyo, koleleki ati mutule okukula mu Mwel,
3 If ye have tasted for yourselves that, gracious, is the Lord, —
alabha mwalojishe ati Latabhugenyi ni wa bhwana.
4 Unto whom coming near, as unto a living stone—by men, indeed, rejected, but, with God, chosen, held in honour,
Nimuje ku mwene unu ali ebhui eyanga linu lilamile linu lyalemelwe na bhanu, mbe nawe elyo lyasolelwe na Nyamuanga na ni lya bhugusi bhulabhu mu mwene.
5 Yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, for a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices, well-pleasing unto God through Jesus Christ;
Emwe one muli lwa mabhui ganu gali maanga ganu agombwakwa ingulu kubha nyumba je chinyamwoyo, koleleki ati obhugabhisi obhwelu bhunu obhusosha echogo che chinyamwoyo chinu echikilisibhwa na Nyamuanga okulabha ku Yesu Kristo.
6 Inasmuch as it is contained in scripture—Lo! I lay in Zion an outmost corner stone, chosen, held in honour, and, he that resteth faith thereupon, shall not be put to shame.
Amaandiko agaika kutya, “Lola, niteyeko ku Sayuni Libhui elya kukona, ingulu na linu lyasolelwe elyo bhugusi bhunene. wona wona unu kekilisha mu mwene atakwaika.”
7 Unto you, then, is the honour—[unto you] who believe; but, unto such as disbelieve, The stone which the builders rejected, —The same, hath become head of the corner,
Kwibhyo echibhalo ni chemwe kwimwe emwe bhanu omwikilisha. Mbe nawe, “Libhui linu lyalemelwe na bhombaki, linu nilyo lyabhee ebhui ekulu Lya kukona”-
8 And a stone to strike against, and a rock to stumble over: Who stumble because, unto the word, they do not yield, —unto which also they have been appointed;
ne, ebhui elyo kwikujula no olutale lyo kwikujula.” Bhenene abhekujula, bhanu abhagulema omusango, ku gulya gunu one bhaliga bhasolelwe kwijo.
9 But, ye, are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a peculiar treasure, that, the excellences, ye may tell forth, of him who, out of darkness, hath called you into his marvellous light: —
Mbe nawe emwe ni luganda lunu kwaliga lusolelwe, obhugabhisi bhwe chikayo, liyanga elyelu, abhanu bho bhutunge bhwa Nyamuanga, koleleki ati mutule okulasha ebhikolwa bhye bhilugusho ebhya uliya unu abhabhilikiye okusoka mu chisute no kuja mu bhwelu bhwaye obhwo kulugusha.
10 Who, at one time, were a No-people, but, now, are a people of God, —who had not been enjoying mercy, but, now, have received mercy.
Emwe okwamba mwaliga mutali bhanu, Mbe nawe woli emwe muli bhanu bha Nyamuanga. Emwe mutalamiye chigongo, mbe nawe woli mwalamiye echigongo.
11 Beloved! I exhort you, as sojourners and pilgrims, to abstain from fleshly covetings, such as take the field against the soul;
Abhendwa, nibhabhilikiye kuti bhagenyi na bhanu bhanu abhayega-yengala no kwiima kwemwe okwa inamba mbibhi eye chibhibhi, jinu ejilwanana ne Mioyo jemwe.
12 Having, your behaviour among the nations, honourable, —in order that, wherein they speak against you as evil-doers, they may, owing to the honourable works they are permitted to behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
Kubheile mubhe na ntungwa je kisi mu maanga, koleleki ati, alabha bhakabhaika kuti ati mukolele misango mibhibhi, mbe bhakajilola emilimu jemwe jili jekisi no kumukuya Nyamuanga mu nsiku jo kuja kwaye.
13 Submit yourselves unto every human creation, for the Lord’s sake, —whether unto a king, as one that protecteth,
Nuwolobhele bhuli bhutungi bhwo mwanamunu ingulu ya Latabhugenyi, akabha ali mukama kuti mukulu,
14 Or unto governors, as, through him, sent—for vengeance on evil-doers, but praise to such as do good;
akabha bhali bhatungi bhanu bhatumilwe okuja okubhanyasha bhanu abhakola amabhibhi no kubhakuya bhanu abhakola ejo bhwima.
15 Because, so, is the will of God, —by doing good, to be putting to silence, the ignorance of heedless men:
Kulwo kubha ni kwenda kwa Nyamuanga, ati kulwo kukola ebhye kisi omujibhisha jinyaika ja abhanu bhamumu bhanu bhali bhafila.
16 As free, yet, not as a cloak of vice, holding your freedom, but, as God’s servants.
Kuti bhanu bhanu bhasulumuywe, mwasiga kukolela obhusulumuywe bhwemwe kuti chinu cho kubhisamo amabhibhi, nawe mubhe kuti bhakosi bha Nyamuanga.
17 Unto all men, give honour, unto the brotherhood, shew love, unto God, give reverence, the king, hold in honour.
Nimubholobhele abhanu bhona. Nimubhendega abhasu. Nimumubhayega Nyamuanga. Nimumwolobhelega omukama.
18 Ye domestics, submitting yourselves, in all reverence, unto your masters, —not only unto the good and considerate, but also unto the perverse;
Emwe abhagaya, nimubholobhelega bheso-bhugenyi bhemwe kwe bhibhalo bhyona, atali-la ati bheso-bhugenyi bhanu bhali bhekisi na bhololo, mbe nawe one bhanu bhali bhabhibhi.
19 For, this, is thankworthy, —If, for the sake of conscience towards God, one beareth griefs, suffering wrongfully, —
Kulwo kubha ni chibhalo kuti wona wona akegumilisha ku bhwasibhwa mu mwanya gunu kanyaka kenuchitaliwo chimali ku nsonga yo mutima gwaye ku Nyamuanga.
20 For what sort of honour is it—if, committing sin, and being buffeted, ye endure it? But, if, doing good, and suffering, ye endure it, this, is thankworthy with God.
Ni mabhona-ki ganu galiwo mukabha nimugendelelala okukola ebhibhibhi okumala mugendelele okusimagisibhwa? Mbe nawe mukakola ebhye kisi ka niwo munyake kwo oulamula, chinu ni chibhalo che kisi mu Nyamuanga.
21 For, hereunto, have ye been called; because, Christ also, suffered in your behalf, unto you, leaving behind a pattern, that ye might follow in his steps:
Ku linu mubhilikiywe, ku nsonga Kristo one anyasibhwe ingulu yeswe, abhasigiye echijejekanyo ingulu yemwe okulubha ebhigele bhyaye.
22 Who did not, a sin, commit, neither was deceit found in his mouth, —
Omwene atakolele chibhibhi, nolwo bhutabhonekene bhujigi-jigi bhwona bhwona ku munwa gwaye.
23 Who, being reviled, was not reviling again, suffering, he was not threatening, but was making surrender unto him that judgeth righteously, —
Mu mwanya gunu mwenene afumilwe, atabhasubhisishe bhifumo, ejile anyaka, atakangilwe nawe esosishe mwenene ewaye omwene kalamula kwe chimali.
24 Who, our sins, himself, bare up, in his body, unto the tree, in order that we, from our sins getting away, in righteousness, might live, —by whose stripes, ye have been healed;
Mwenene omwene etwikile ebhibhibhi bhyeswe ku mubhili gwaye kwiti, koleleki ati chasiga kubha ne ebhala lindi mu chibhibhi, na ati chilame ingulu yo bhulengelesi. Kwo kubhumwa kwaye emwe NIMWIULILA.
25 For ye were as sheep going astray, but have now turned back unto the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
Bhona bhanu mwaliga nimuyege-yenga lwa inyabhalega inu yabhulile, mbe nawe wolyanu mwasubhile ku mulefi na mulindilie we Mioyo jemwe.
