< 1 Kings 6 >

1 And so it came to pass, in the four hundred and eightieth year, by the coming forth of the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year (in the month of Zif, the same, being the second month) of the reign of Solomon over Israel, that he began to build the house unto Yahweh.
Aa ie amy taom-paha-efajato-tsi-valompolo niavota’ o ana’ Israeleo an-tane’ i Mitsraimey, amy taom-paha-efam-pifehea’ i Selomò Israeley, amy volantatakey, i volam-paharoey, ty namotorañe ty fañamboara’e i anjomba’ Iehovày.
2 Now, the house which King Solomon built unto Yahweh, was sixty cubits in length, and twenty in breadth, —and thirty cubits in height.
Ty anjomba rinanji’ i Selomò am’ Iehovà, ie kiho enem-polo ty andava’e naho kiho roapolo ty am-pohe’e vaho kiho telopolo ty haabo’e.
3 And, the porch in front of the temple of the house, was twenty cubits in length, according to the breadth of the house, —ten cubits in breadth, in front of the house.
Ty lavaranga aolo’ i efe-bei’ i anjombay le roapolo kiho ty andava’e, mira ami’ty am-pohe’ i anjombay; vaho folo kiho ty am-pohe’e aolo’ i anjombay eo.
4 And he made to the house windows, with closed bars.
Nandranjia’e lalan-kede i anjombay, bey ty ampohe’ ty añate’e naho maifitse ty alafe’e.
5 And he built—by the wall of the house—a gallery, round about, against the walls of the house, round about, both to the temple, and to the shrine, —and he made side chambers round about.
Natratrañà’e o rindri’ i anjombaio mañarikatoke i anjombay, naho i efetse beiy vaho i efe-miavakey; aa le nandranjia’e efets’ efetse ty mañariary aze;
6 The, lowest gallery, was five cubits broad, and, the middle, six cubits broad, and, the third, seven cubits broad, —for he put, ledges, against the house round about, on the outer side, so as not to make fastenings in the walls of the house.
o efetse ambaneo le kiho lime ty ampohe’e, naho enen-kiho ty añivo’e vaho kiho fito ty fahatelo’e; nandranjia’e soñy i rindriñe alafe’ i anjombay mañariary azey, soa tsy hifahatse amo rindri’ i anjombaio o manantañeo; amy te,
7 Now, the house, when it was in building, with whole quarry-stones, was built, —neither hammer, nor axe, nor any tools of iron, was heard in the house, when it was in building.
ie narafitse i anjombay, le narafitse am-bato nihentseñeñe am-pihaliañe añe; vaho tsy nijanjiñeñe amy anjombay am-pandranjiañe aze ty ana-bato ndra fekoñe ndra haraotse viñe.
8 The entrance of the lowest story, was on the right side of the house, —and, by winding stairs, went they up unto the middle [story], and, out of the middle, into, the third.
Ty lala’ o mizakitse añ’ila ankavana’ i anjombaio, le nionjoñe am-panongañe nivanditse mb’amo mizakitse añivoo, vaho boak’ amy añivoy pak’ amy fahateloy.
9 So he built the house, and finished it, —and ceiled the house with planks and beams of cedar;
Aa le rinanji’e i anjombay naho nifonira’e; vaho kinape’e varambañe naho boda mendoraveñe i anjombay.
10 and built the gallery against all the house, five cubits in height, —and so fastened the house, with timber of cedar.
Le rinanji’e vatsa hañarikatoke i anjombay, songa kiho lime ty haabo’e; ie nirampy amy anjombay am-boda-mendoraveñe.
11 Then came the word of Yahweh unto Solomon, saying:
Aa le niheo amy Selomò ty tsara’ Iehovà nanao ty hoe:
12 Concerning this house, which thou art building, If thou wilt walk in my statutes, and, my regulations, wilt practise, and so observe all my commandments, by walking in them, Then will I establish my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father;
O anjomba amboare’oo: ie añaveloa’o o fañèkoo naho anoe’o o nafepèkoo vaho hene ambena’o o lilikoo, hañaveloa’o, le hajadoko ama’o i entako nitsaraeko amy Davide rae’oy,
13 and will make my habitation in the midst of the sons of Israel, —and will not forsake my people Israel.
te himoneñe añivo’ o ana’ Israeleo raho, vaho tsy haforintseko ondatiko Israeleo.
14 Thus Solomon built the house, and finished it;
Aa le rinanji’ i Selomò i anjombay vaho nahafonitse.
15 and he built the walls of the house on the inside, with boards of cedar, from the floor of the house, unto the cross-beams of the ceiling, he overlaid it with wood, on the inside, —and he overlaid the floor of the house with boards of fir.
Le rinanji’e am-baramba mendoraveñe o rindriñe amy anjombaio boak’ an-tane pak’ an-tsazo’e ambane riha eo; le nilafiha’e hatae o añate’e iabio vaho nilafiha’e haradranto ty ambane eo.
16 And he built twenty cubits, at the hinder part of the house, with boards of cedar, from the floor as far as the cross-beams, —and he built it within, for a shrine, even for the holy of holies;
Natratraña’e kiho roapolo ty amboli’ i anjombay, am-baramba mendoraveñe mifototse an-tane pak’ an-tapenake, nanoa’e efetse añate’e ao ho toem-pitsarañe, ho toetse masiñe do’e.
17 but, forty cubits, was the house itself, —the same, was the temple, before the oracle.
I trañoy—i efetse aolo’ i masiñe do’eiy, le efa-polo kiho ty an-dava’e.
18 And, the cedar for the house within, was carved with colocynths, and with festoons of flowers, —the whole, was cedar, there was no stone to be seen.
Sinokitse sarem-bebeke naho voñe miborake o mendoraveñe añate’ i anjombaio; ama’ mendoraveñe iaby zay, tsy nahaisaham-bato.
19 And, the shrine in the midst of the house within, made he ready, —for placing there, the ark of the covenant of Yahweh.
Hinalanka’e amy anjombay i toe-miavakey, hampidona’e i vatam-pañina’ Iehovày.
20 And, the interior of the shrine, was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in height, and he overlaid it, with pure gold, —and overlaid the altar with cedar.
Kiho roapolo ty andava’e miaolo i toe-miavakey, naho kiho roapolo ty am-pohe’e le kiho roapolo ty haabo’e, le nitemere’e volamena ki’e; napo’e ao ka ty kitrely, le sinaro’e mendoraveñe.
21 Thus then did Solomon overlay the house within, with pure gold, —and he drew chains of gold across the front of the shrine, and overlaid it with gold;
Nitemere’ i Selomò am-bolamena ki’e ka i trañoy, naho kinazaza’e silisily volamena ty aolo’ i toe-miavakey vaho nandafiha’e volamena.
22 yea, all the house, overlaid he with gold, until he had made all the house into one whole, —even all the altar that was by the shrine, overlaid he with gold.
Hene nitemere’e am-bolamena i trañoy, ampara’ te nifonitse i trañoy; vaho nipakora’e aolamena iaby ty kitreli’ i toe-miavakey.
23 And he made, within the shrine, two cherubim of wild olive wood, —ten cubits in height;
Nandranjia’e kerobe roe an-talý i toe-miavakey, songa kiho folo ty haabo’e.
24 and, five cubits, was the one wing of the cherub, and, five cubits, the second wing of the cherub, —ten cubits, from the one end of his wings unto the other end of his wings.
Kiho lime ty ela’ ty kerobe raike, naho kiho lime i ela ila’ey; kiho folo ty boak’an-dengon-ela’e raike pak’an-dengo’ i ila’ey.
25 Ten cubits, also was the second cherub, —of one size and one shape, were the two cherubim.
Nivelatse kiho folo ka i kerobe raikey, songa aman-jehe mira naho aman-kabey mira i kerobe roe rey.
26 The height of the one cherub, was ten cubits, —and, so, of the second cherub.
Folo kiho ty haabo’ ty kerobe raike, mira ama’e ty ila’e.
27 And he placed the cherubim in the midst of the inner house, and the cherubim stretched forth their wings, —so that the wing of the one touched the [one] wall, and the wing of the other cherub, was touching the other wall, —and, their wings in the midst of the house, were touching, wing to wing.
Napo’e añivo’ i efetse añate’ey i kerobe rey, le nivelareñe ty ela’ o kerobeo naho nioza ami’ty rindriñe ty ela’ ty raike naho nioza an-drindriñe tandrife’e ka ty ela’ i kerobe raike vaho nifañoza añivo’ i efetsey ty lengon-ela’ iareo ila’e.
28 And he overlaid the cherubim with gold.
Pinako’e am-bolamena i kerobe rey.
29 And, all the walls of the house round about, carved he with figures of cherubim, and palm-trees, and festoons of flowers, —within and without.
Le nanokira’e sare kerobe naho satrañe mb’eo mb’eo amo rindri’ i anjombay iabio, vaho nandafiha’e voñe miborake añate’e naho alafe’e.
30 Even the floor of the house, overlaid he with gold, —within and without.
Nandafiha’e am-bolamena ka ty ambane’ i anjombay, i añate’ey naho i alafe’ey.
31 And, the entrance of the shrine, made he with doors, of wild olive-wood, the pillars and posts being a fifth.
Nandranjia’e lalañe an-talý i toe-miavakey, ze napetak’ an-dahin-dalañe an-drirañe lime.
32 The two doors, also were of olive-wood, and he carved upon them carvings of cherubim, and palm-trees, and festoons of flowers, and overlaid them with gold, —yea he spread out, over the cherubim and over the palm-trees, the gold.
Aman-talý i lalañe roe rey; le nanokira’e sare-kerobe naho satrañe vaho voñe miborake, le nipakora’e volamena o kerobeo naho o satrañeo.
33 So, also, made he for the entrance of the temple, with posts of wild olive-wood, —a fourth part.
Zay ka ty nanoa’e i fimoahañe i anjombay, lahindalañe an-talý, an-drira’e efatse.
34 And, the two doors, were of fir wood, —the two leaves of the one door, were folding, and, the two leaves of the other door, were folding.
Haradranto i lalañe roe rey; miodikodiñ’ an-tsoavili’e ty lela roe ty lalañe raike, vaho miodiñe ka ty lela roe’ i lalañe ila’ey.
35 And he carved cherubim, and palm-trees, and festoons of flowers, and overlaid them with gold, smoothed out on the carved work.
Le nanokira’e kerobe naho satrañe naho voñe miborake vaho nipakora’e volamena natsifitse soa amy sinokitsey.
36 And he built the inner court, with three rows of hewn stone, —and a row of beams of cedar.
Namboare’e am-bato nivañeñe telo sosoke naho soso’e raik’ am-boda mendoraveñe ty kiririsa añate’e.
37 In the fourth year, was laid the foundation of the house of Yahweh, —in the month Zif;
Ie am-bolan-tatak’ i taom-pah’ efatsey ty nampijadoñañe o mananta’ i anjomba’ Iehovàio;
38 and, in the eleventh year, in the month Bul—the same, is the eighth month, was the house finished, as to all the particulars thereof, and as to all the appointments thereof, —so then he built it in seven years.
vaho ami’ty vatravatra, volam-paha-valo’ i taom-paha-folo-raik’ ambiy ty nahafonirañe i anjombay ami’ty lafi’e iaby ty amy ze hene nisafirieñe ama’ey. Aa le fito taoñe ty namboara’e aze.
