1 Kings 4
1 And so it came to pass, that, King Solomon, was king, over all Israel.
അങ്ങനെ ശലോമോൻ സമസ്ത ഇസ്രായേലിന്മേലും രാജാവായി വാണു.
2 Now, these, were his chief officers of state, —Azariah son of Zadok, the priest;
അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പ്രമുഖ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്മാർ ഇവരായിരുന്നു: സാദോക്കിന്റെ മകനായ അസര്യാവായിരുന്നു പുരോഹിതൻ;
3 Elihoreph and Ahijah, sons of Shisha, scribes, —Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud, the recorder;
ശീശയുടെ പുത്രന്മാരായ എലീഹോരെഫും അഹീയാവും ആയിരുന്നു ലേഖകന്മാർ; അഹീലൂദിന്റെ പുത്രനായ യെഹോശാഫാത്ത് രാജകീയ രേഖാപാലകൻ;
4 And Benaiah son of Jehoiada, over the army, —and Zadok and Abiathar priests;
യെഹോയാദായുടെ പുത്രനായ ബെനായാവ് സർവസൈന്യാധിപൻ; സാദോക്കും അബ്യാഥാരും പുരോഹിതന്മാർ;
5 And Azariah son of Nathan, over the governors, —and Zabud son of Nathan, minister, king’s friend;
നാഥാന്റെ പുത്രനായ അസര്യാവ് പ്രാദേശികഭരണാധിപന്മാരുടെ മേലധികാരി; നാഥാന്റെ മറ്റൊരു പുത്രനായ സബൂദ് പുരോഹിതനും രാജാവിന്റെ ഉപദേശകനുമായിരുന്നു;
6 And Ahishar, over the household, —and Adoniram son of Abda, over the tribute.
അഹീശാർ രാജകൊട്ടാരം ഭരണാധിപൻ; അബ്ദയുടെ പുത്രനായ അദോനിരാം നിർബന്ധിതവേലക്കാരുടെ മേധാവി.
7 And, Solomon, had twelve governors over all Israel, who used to sustain the king and his household, —for a month in the year, was it appointed unto each one, to find sustenance.
രാജാവിനും രാജകുടുംബത്തിനും ഭക്ഷണപദാർഥങ്ങൾ എത്തിച്ചുകൊടുക്കാൻ ഇസ്രായേലിൽ എല്ലായിടത്തുമായി പന്ത്രണ്ടു പ്രാദേശികഭരണാധിപന്മാർ ശലോമോന് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവർ ഓരോരുത്തരും വർഷത്തിൽ ഓരോ മാസം അവ എത്തിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും.
8 And, these, are their names, Ben-hur, in the hill country of Ephraim;
അവരുടെ പേരുകൾ ഇവയാണ്: എഫ്രയീം മലനാട്ടിൽ, ബെൻ-ഹൂർ;
9 Ben-deker, in Makaz and in Shaalbim and Beth-shemesh, —and Elon-beth-hanan;
മാക്കസ്, ശാൽബീം, ബേത്-ശേമെശ്, ഏലോൻ-ബേത്ത്-ഹാനാൻ എന്നീ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ, ബെൻദേക്കെർ;
10 Ben-hesed, in Arubboth, —to him, pertaineth Socoh, and all the land of Hepher;
അരുബ്ബോത്തിൽ, ബെൻ-ഹേസെദ്; സോഖോവും ഹേഫെർ ദേശംമുഴുവനും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അധികാരപരിധിക്കുള്ളിലായിരുന്നു.
11 Ben-abinadab, all the height of Dor, —Taphath daughter of Solomon, had he to wife;
നാഫത്ത്-ദോറിൽ, ബെൻ-അബീനാദാബ്; ഇദ്ദേഹം ശലോമോന്റെ മകളായ താഫത്തിനെ വിവാഹംകഴിച്ചിരുന്നു.
12 Baana son of Ahilud, in Taanach, and Megiddo, —and all Beth-shean which is beside Zarethan, beneath Jezreel, from Beth-shean as far as Abel-meholah, as far as over against Jokmeam;
താനാക്കിലും, മെഗിദ്ദോവിലും, ബേത്-ശയാൻ ദേശത്തുമുഴുവനും, അഹീലൂദിന്റെ മകനായ ബാനാ; ബേത്-ശയാൽദേശം യെസ്രീലിനു താഴെയുള്ള സാരേഥാനോടു ചേർന്നുകിടക്കുന്നതും യോക്മെയാമിനു കുറുകെ ബേത്ത്-ശെയാൻമുതൽ ആബേൽ-മെഹോലാവരെ വ്യാപിച്ചുകിടക്കുന്നതും ആയിരുന്നു.
13 Ben-geber, in Ramoth-gilead, —to him, belonged the towns of Jair, son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead, his, was the region of Argob which is in Bashan, sixty great cities, with walls and with bars of bronze;
ഗിലെയാദിലെ രാമോത്തിൽ, ബെൻ-ഗേബെർ; ഗിലെയാദുദേശത്തിൽ മനശ്ശെയുടെ പുത്രനായ യായീർ താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന ദേശവും കെട്ടിയുറപ്പിച്ചതും വെങ്കലയോടാമ്പലുകളുള്ള അറുപതു നഗരങ്ങൾ ഉൾപ്പെട്ട ബാശാൻ ദേശത്തിലെ അർഗോബുദേശവും ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കീഴിലായിരുന്നു.
14 Ahinadab son of Iddo, towards Mahanaim;
മഹനയീമിൽ, ഇദ്ദോയുടെ പുത്രനായ അഹീനാദാബ്;
15 Ahimaaz, in Naphtali, —moreover, he, took Basemath daughter of Solomon, to wife;
നഫ്താലിയിൽ, അഹീമാസ്; ശലോമോന്റെ മകളായ ബാസമത്തിനെ ഇദ്ദേഹം വിവാഹംകഴിച്ചിരുന്നു.
16 Banna son of Hushai, in Asher and in Aloth;
ആശേരിലും ബെയാലോത്തിലും ഹൂശായിയുടെ പുത്രനായ ബാനാ;
17 Jehoshaphat son of Paruah, in Issachar;
യിസ്സാഖാരിൽ, പാരൂഹിന്റെ പുത്രൻ യെഹോശാഫാത്ത്;
18 Shimei son of Ela, in Benjamin;
ബെന്യാമീനിൽ, ഏലയുടെ പുത്രൻ ശിമെയി;
19 Geber son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, —the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, being, the one governor, that was in the land.
അമോര്യരാജാവായ സീഹോന്റെയും ബാശാൻരാജാവായ ഓഗിന്റെയും രാജ്യമായ ഗിലെയാദിൽ, ഹൂരിന്റെ പുത്രൻ ഗേബെർ. ഇവർ കൂടാതെ യെഹൂദാദേശത്തും ഒരു പ്രാദേശിക ഭരണകർത്താവ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
20 Judah and Israel, were many, as the sand that is by the sea, for multitude, —eating and drinking, and rejoicing.
യെഹൂദ്യയിലെയും ഇസ്രായേലിലെയും ജനം കടൽക്കരയിലെ മണൽപോലെ അസംഖ്യമായിരുന്നു. അവർ ഭക്ഷിച്ചുപാനംചെയ്ത് വളരെ ആനന്ദത്തോടെയാണു കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നത്.
21 And, Solomon, became ruler over all the kingdoms, from the River [even unto] the land of the Philistines, and as far as the boundary of Egypt, —and these were bringing presents, and serving Solomon, all the days of his life.
യൂഫ്രട്ടീസ് നദിമുതൽ ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെദേശവും ഈജിപ്റ്റിന്റെ അതിരുവരെയുള്ള സകലരാജ്യങ്ങളും ശലോമോൻ ഭരിച്ചിരുന്നു. അവർ ശലോമോനു കപ്പം കൊണ്ടുവരികയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജീവിതകാലംമുഴുവൻ കീഴടങ്ങിപ്പാർക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.
22 And it came to pass, that Solomon’s provision for one day was, —thirty measures of fine flour, and sixty measures of meal;
ശലോമോന്റെ ഒരു ദിവസത്തെ ഭക്ഷണച്ചെലവ്: മുപ്പതുകോർ നേരിയമാവ്, അറുപതുകോർ സാധാരണമാവ്,
23 ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and a hundred sheep, —besides harts, and gazelles, and roebucks, and fatted fowl.
മാനുകൾ, കലമാനുകൾ, ആൺപുള്ളിമാനുകൾ, പുഷ്ടിവരുത്തിയ പക്ഷികൾ എന്നിവകൂടാതെ, പത്തു വളർത്തുമാടുകൾ, മേച്ചിൽപ്പുറത്തു മേഞ്ഞുനടക്കുന്ന ഇരുപതുകാളകൾ, നൂറ് ചെമ്മരിയാടുകളും കോലാടുകളും, ഇവയെല്ലാമായിരുന്നു.
24 For, he, had dominion over all on this side the River, from Tiphsah even as far as Gaza, over all the kings on this side the River, —and he had, peace, on all sides of him, round about.
യൂഫ്രട്ടീസ് നദിക്കു പടിഞ്ഞാറ് തിപ്സഹുമുതൽ ഗസ്സാവരെയുള്ള സകലരാജ്യങ്ങളും അദ്ദേഹം ഭരിച്ചു. എല്ലാ അതിർത്തിയിലും സമാധാനം നിലനിന്നിരുന്നു.
25 And Judah and Israel dwelt securely, every man under his own vine, and under his own fig-tree, from Dan even unto Beer-sheba, —all the days of Solomon.
ശലോമോന്റെ ഭരണകാലത്തെല്ലാം യെഹൂദയും ഇസ്രായേലും ദാൻമുതൽ ബേർ-ശേബാവരെ ഓരോരുത്തരും അവരവരുടെ മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയുടെയും അത്തിവൃക്ഷത്തിന്റെയും തണലിൽ എന്നപോലെ സുരക്ഷിതരായി ജീവിച്ചു.
26 And it came to pass that, Solomon, had forty thousand stalls of horses, for his chariots, —and twelve thousand horsemen.
ശലോമോന് പന്തീരായിരം കുതിരപ്പട്ടാളവും കുതിരകളെ കെട്ടുന്നതിന് നാലായിരം കുതിരലായങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
27 And these governors provided sustenance for King Solomon, and for all that drew near unto the table of King Solomon, every man in his month, —they let, nought, be lacking.
പ്രാദേശികഭരണാധിപന്മാർ ഓരോരുത്തരും താന്താങ്ങളുടെ തവണയനുസരിച്ചുള്ള മാസങ്ങളിൽ ശലോമോൻരാജാവിനുവേണ്ടിയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ തീൻമേശയിങ്കലുള്ളവർക്കുവേണ്ടിയും ഭക്ഷ്യവിഭവങ്ങൾ യാതൊരുവിധ കുറവുംകൂടാതെ എത്തിച്ചുകൊടുത്തിരുന്നു.
28 Barley also and crushed straw, for the horses and for the swift beasts, brought they in unto the place where it should be, every man according to his charge.
രഥക്കുതിരകൾക്കും മറ്റുകുതിരകൾക്കും ആവശ്യമായ യവവും വൈക്കോലും അവരവരുടെ മുറപ്രകാരം അവ നിൽക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ അവർ എത്തിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുമായിരുന്നു.
29 And God gave wisdom unto Solomon, and discernment, and very great largeness of heart, —like the sand that is on the shore of the sea:
ദൈവം ശലോമോന് ജ്ഞാനവും അതിമഹത്തായ ഉൾക്കാഴ്ചയും കടൽത്തീരംപോലെ പരപ്പേറിയ പരിജ്ഞാനവും പ്രദാനംചെയ്തു.
30 so that, the wisdom of Solomon, excelled, the wisdom of all the sons of the East, —and all the wisdom of the Egyptians,
സകലപൗരസ്ത്യദേശവാസികളുടെ ജ്ഞാനത്തെക്കാളും ഈജിപ്റ്റിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്തെക്കാളും ശലോമോന്റെ ജ്ഞാനം ശ്രേഷ്ഠതരമായിരുന്നു.
31 so that he was wiser than any man—than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman and Calcol and Darda, sons of Mahol, —and it came to pass that, his name, was throughout all the nations round about.
സകലമനുഷ്യരെക്കാളും എസ്രാഹ്യനായ ഏഥാൻ, മാഹോലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ ഹേമാൻ, കൽക്കോൽ, ദർദ എന്നിവരെക്കാളും അദ്ദേഹം കൂടുതൽ ജ്ഞാനിയായിരുന്നു. അയൽരാജ്യങ്ങളിലെല്ലാം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കീർത്തി വ്യാപിച്ചു.
32 And he spake three thousand proverbs, —and it came to pass that, his songs, were a thousand and five.
മൂവായിരം സദൃശ്യവാക്യങ്ങളും ആയിരത്തഞ്ചു ഗീതങ്ങളും അദ്ദേഹം രചിച്ചു.
33 And he discoursed of trees—from the cedar that is in Lebanon, even unto the hyssop, that springeth out in the wall, —and he discoursed of beasts and of birds, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
ലെബാനോനിലെ ദേവദാരുമുതൽ മതിലിന്മേൽ കിളിർക്കുന്ന ഈസോപ്പുവരെയുള്ള സസ്യജാലങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചും അദ്ദേഹം പ്രതിപാദിച്ചു. മൃഗങ്ങളെയും പക്ഷികളെയും ഇഴജന്തുക്കളെയും മത്സ്യങ്ങളെയും അദ്ദേഹം പരാമർശവിഷയമാക്കി.
34 And there came in, of all the peoples, to hear the wisdom of Solomon—of all the kings of the earth, who heard his wisdom.
ശലോമോന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്തെപ്പറ്റി കേട്ടറിഞ്ഞ സകലരാഷ്ട്രത്തലവന്മാരുടെയും അടുക്കൽനിന്ന് അനവധി സ്ഥാനപതികൾ ശലോമോന്റെ ജ്ഞാനവചനങ്ങൾ കേൾക്കാൻ എത്തിയിരുന്നു.
