< 1 John 2 >

1 My dear children! these things, am I writing unto you, in order that ye may not be committing sin. And, if anyone should commit sin, an Advocate, have we, with the Father, Jesus Christ, the Righteous;
Little children of mine, these things I am writing to you so that not you may sin; And if anyone shall sin, an advocate we have with the Father, Jesus Christ [the] Righteous [One],
2 And, he, is, a propitiation, concerning our sins, —and, not concerning our own only, but, also concerning those of the whole world.
And He himself [the] propitiation is for the sins of us; not for those of ourselves and only but also for all the world.
3 And, hereby, perceive we, that we understand him, —if, his commandments, we are keeping.
And by this we know that we have come to know Him, if the commandments of Him we shall keep.
4 He that saith—I understand him! And, his commandments, is not keeping, is false, and, in him, the truth is not!
The [one] saying (that *no) I have known Him and the commandments of Him not keeping, a liar he is, and in him the truth not is;
5 But whosoever may be keeping his word, of a truth, in this man, the love of God hath been made perfect. Hereby, perceive we, that, in him, we are.
Who[ever] however maybe may keep His word, truly in him the love of God has been perfected. By this we know that in Him we are.
6 He that saith, that, in him, he abideth, ought, just as He walked, himself also, to be walking.
The [one] claiming in Him to abide ought even as that [one] walked also He himself in the same way to walk.
7 Beloved! no new commandment, am I writing unto you; but an old commandment, which ye have been holding from the beginning: The old commandment is the word which ye have heard.
(Beloved, *N+KO) not a commandment new I am writing to you but a commandment old which you have had from [the] beginning; The commandment old is the word that you have heard (from beginning. *K)
8 Again, a new commandment, am I writing unto you, —which thing is true, in him and in you, because, the darkness, is passing away, and, the real light, already is shining.
Again a commandment new I am writing to you which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the light true already shines.
9 He that saith he is, in the light, and hateth, his brother, is, in the darkness, until even now!
The [one] claiming in the light to be and the brother of him hating in the darkness is until now.
10 He that loveth his brother, is abiding, in the light, and, cause of stumbling, in him, is there none.
The [one] loving the brother of him in the light abides and cause for stumbling in him not there is.
11 Whereas, he that hateth his brother, in the darkness, dwelleth, and in the darkness, walketh; and knoweth not whither he is drifting, because the, darkness, hath blinded his eyes.
The [one] however hating the brother of him in the darkness is and in the darkness walks and not does he know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded the eyes of him.
12 I write unto you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven you, for the sake of his name:
I am writing to you, little children, because have been forgiven your sins for the sake of the name of Him.
13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye understand him who was from the beginning: I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I have written unto you, little children, because ye understand the Father:
I am writing to you, fathers, because you have known Him who [is] from [the] beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil [one]. (I have written *N+kO) to you, little children, because you have known the Father.
14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye understand him who was from the beginning: I have written you, young men, because ye are, strong, and the word of God, within you, abideth, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
I have written to you, fathers, because you have known Him who [is] from [the] beginning. I have written to you, young men, because strong you are and the word of God in you abides and you have overcome the evil [one].
15 Be not loving the world, nor yet the things that are in the world: if anyone be loving the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Not do love the world nor the [things] in the world. If anyone shall love the world, not is the love of the Father in him;
16 Because, all that is in the world—the coveting of the flesh, the coveting of the eyes, and the vain grandeur of life—is not of the Father, but is, of the world;
because all that [is] in the world, the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the vaunting of life, not is from the Father but from the world is.
17 And, the world, passeth away, and the coveting [thereof], but, he that doeth the will of God, endureth unto times age-abiding. (aiōn g165)
And the world is passing away and the desire of it; the [one] however doing the will of God abides to the age. (aiōn g165)
18 Little children! it is, the last hour; and, just as ye have heard that, an antichrist, is coming, even now, antichrists have become, many, whence we perceive that it is, the last hour:
Little children, [the] last hour it is, and even as you have heard that antichrist is coming, even now antichrists many have arisen whereby we know that [the] last hour it is.
19 From among us, they went out, but they were not of us; for, if, of us, they had been, they would in that case have abode with us; but [it came to pass] in order that they might be made manifest, because, all, are not of us.
From among us they went out but not they were of us; if for of us they were being they had remained then would with us; But [it is] so that it may be made manifest that not they are all of us.
20 And, ye, have, an anointing, from the Holy One, —Ye all, know:
And you yourselves [the] anointing have from the Holy [One] and you know (all [you]. *N+KO)
21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and because, no falsehood, is, of the truth.
Not I have written to you because not you know the truth but because you know it and because any lie of the truth not is.
22 Who, is the False One; —save he that denieth that, Jesus, is the Christ? The same, is the Antichrist, —he that denieth the Father and the Son.
who is the liar only except the [one] denying that Jesus not is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the [one] denying the Father and the Son.
23 Whosoever denieth the Son, neither hath he, the Father: He that confesseth the Son, hath, the Father also.
Everyone who is denying the Son neither the Father has he; The [one] confessing the Son also the Father has.
24 As for you, what ye have heard from the beginning, in you, let it abide. If, in you, shall abide, that which, from the beginning, ye have heard, ye also, in the Son, and [in] the Father, shall abide.
You yourselves (therefore *K) what you have heard from [the] beginning in you should abide. If in you shall abide what from [the] beginning you have heard, also you yourselves in the Son and in the Father will abide.
25 And, this, is the promise, which he hath promised unto us, —The age-abiding life. (aiōnios g166)
And this is the promise that He himself promised us: life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
26 These things, have I written unto you, concerning them who would lead you astray.
These things I have written to you concerning those leading astray you.
27 And, as for you, the anointing which ye have received from him, abideth in you, and ye have, no need, that anyone be teaching you; but, as, his anointing, is teaching you, and is, true, and is no falsehood, even just as it hath taught you, abide ye in him.
And you yourselves, the anointing that you received from Him abides in you and not need you have that anyone may teach you; But just as the (same *N+kO) anointing teaches you concerning all things and true is and not is a lie and even as it has taught you, (you abide *N+kO) in Him.
28 And, now, dear children, abide ye in him, in order that, if he be made manifest, we may have boldness, and not be shamed away from him by his presence.
And now, little children, do abide in Him, so that (if *N+KO) He shall appear (we may have *N+kO) boldness and not may be ashamed before Him at the coming of Him.
29 If ye know that he is, righteous, ye perceive that—whosoever doeth righteousness, of him, hath been born.
If you know that righteous He is, you know that (also *no) everyone who is practicing the righteousness of Him has been begotten.
