< 1 Corinthians 6 >

1 Dare any of you, having, a matter against his brother, sue for judgment before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?
Dare anyone of you a matter having against the other go to law before the unrighteous and not [go] before the saints?
2 Or know ye not that, the saints, shall judge the world? And, if, by you, the world, is to be judged, unworthy are ye of the smallest judgment-seats?
(Or *NO) surely you know that the saints the world will judge? And if by you is to be judged the world, unworthy are you of cases of the smallest?
3 Know ye not that we shall judge, messengers? and not, then, matters of this life?
Surely you know that angels we will judge? Surely not ever even [the] things of this life?
4 If, then, for matters of this, life ye have judgment-seats, them who are of no account in the assembly, these, are ye seating thereupon?
Things of this life indeed so judgment [as to] if you shall have, the [ones] despised in the church, those set you up!
5 With a view to shame you, am I speaking. So, is it possible that there is among you—not so much as one wise man, who shall be able to judge between his brethren, —
For shame to you I say this. Thus not (is there *N+kO) among you (no [one] *N+kO) wise, who will be able to decide in between the brother of him?
6 But, brother with brother, sueth for judgment, and that before unbelievers?
Instead brother against brother goes to law, and this before unbelievers!
7 Already, indeed, it is an utter defeat for you, that ye are having, law-suits, one with another. Wherefore are ye not rather taking wrong? Wherefore are ye not rather suffering yourselves to be defrauded?
Already indeed therefore altogether a defeat (in *k) you it is for lawsuits you have among yourselves. Because of why surely rather suffer wrong? Because of why surely rather be defrauded?
8 Nay! but, ye, are doing wrong, and defrauding, —and that [your] brethren.
But you yourselves do wrong and defraud, and (this [thing] *N+kO) to brothers!
9 Or know ye not that, wrong-doers, shall not inherit, God’s kingdom? Be not deceiving yourselves: —neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor sodomites,
Or surely you know that [the] unrighteous ones of God [the] kingdom not will inherit? Not do be deceived: neither [the] sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor effeminate nor homosexuals
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners—shall inherit, God’s kingdom.
nor thieves nor coveters (not *N+kO) drunkards nor revilers nor swindlers [the] kingdom of God (not *k) will inherit.
11 And, these things, were some of you; but ye bathed them away, —but ye were sanctified, but ye were justified, in the name of [our] Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God.
And such some [of] you were; but you were washed but you were sanctified but you were justified in the name of the Lord (of us *O) Jesus (Christ *NO) and by the Spirit of the God of us.
12 All things, unto me, are allowable, but, not all things, are profitable: all things, unto me, are allowable, but, I, will not be brought under authority by any.
All things to me are lawful but not all things do profit; All things to me are lawful but not I myself will be mastered by anything.
13 Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods; but, God, will set aside, both it and them. The body, however, is not for fornication, but, for the Lord, —and, the Lord, for the body.
The foods for the belly and the belly the for foods; but God both this and these will destroy. and the body [is] not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body;
14 God, moreover, hath both raised up, the Lord, and will raise, us, up from among [the dead] through his power.
And God both the Lord has raised up and us He will raise out through the power of Him.
15 Know ye not that, your bodies, are, members of Christ? Shall I, then, take away the members of the Christ and make them members of a harlot? Far be it!
Surely you know that the bodies of you members of Christ are? Having taken then the members of the Christ shall I make [them] of a prostitute members? Never would it be!
16 Or know ye not that, he that joineth himself unto the harlot, is, one body? For, saith he, the two, shall become, one flesh;
Or surely you know that who is being joined to the prostitute one body is? Will become for it says the two into flesh one;
17 But, he that joineth himself unto the Lord, is, one Spirit.
The [one] however being joined to the Lord one spirit is.
18 Flee fornication! Every sin, whatsoever a man shall commit, is, outside his body, but, he that committeth fornication, bringeth sin into his own body.
do flee sexual immorality. Every sin whatever if shall do a man, outside the body is; the [one] however sinning sexually against [their] own body sins.
19 Or know ye not that, your body, is, a shrine of the Holy Spirit that is within you, which ye have from God? And ye are not your own; —
Or surely you know that the body of you a temple of the in you Holy Spirit is whom you have from God? And not you are your own?
20 For ye have been bought with a price! Therefore glorify God in your body.
you were bought for with a price; do glorify therefore God in the body of you (and in the spirit of you which is of God. *K)
