1 Corinthians 14
1 Pursue love; nevertheless be envious of the spiritual gifts, —and, rather, that ye may be prophesying.
ཡཱུཡཾ པྲེམཱཙརཎེ པྲཡཏདྷྭམ྄ ཨཱཏྨིཀཱན྄ དཱཡཱནཔི ཝིཤེཥཏ ཨཱིཤྭརཱིཡཱདེཤཀཐནསཱམརྠྱཾ པྲཱཔྟུཾ ཙེཥྚདྷྭཾ།
2 For, he that speaketh with a tongue, not unto men, doth speak, but, unto God, —for, no one, understandeth, although, in spirit, he is speaking sacred secrets;
ཡོ ཛནཿ པརབྷཱཥཱཾ བྷཱཥཏེ ས མཱནུཥཱན྄ ན སམྦྷཱཥཏེ ཀིནྟྭཱིཤྭརམེཝ ཡཏཿ ཀེནཱཔི ཀིམཔི ན བུདྷྱཏེ ས ཙཱཏྨནཱ ནིགཱུཌྷཝཱཀྱཱནི ཀཐཡཏི;
3 But, be that prophesieth, unto men, doth speak—edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
ཀིནྟུ ཡོ ཛན ཨཱིཤྭརཱིཡཱདེཤཾ ཀཐཡཏི ས པརེཥཱཾ ནིཥྛཱཡཻ ཧིཏོཔདེཤཱཡ སཱནྟྭནཱཡཻ ཙ བྷཱཥཏེ།
4 He that speaketh with a tongue, buildeth up, himself, whereas, he that prophesieth, buildeth up, an assembly.
པརབྷཱཥཱཝཱདྱཱཏྨན ཨེཝ ནིཥྛཱཾ ཛནཡཏི ཀིནྟྭཱིཤྭརཱིཡཱདེཤཝཱདཱི སམིཏེ རྣིཥྛཱཾ ཛནཡཏི།
5 Howbeit I wish you all to speak with tongues, but, rather, that ye may prophesy, —moreover, greater, is he that prophesieth, than he that speaketh with tongues, —unless indeed he translate, that, the assembly, may receive upbuilding.
ཡུཥྨཱཀཾ སཪྻྭེཥཱཾ པརབྷཱཥཱབྷཱཥཎམ྄ ཨིཙྪཱམྱཧཾ ཀིནྟྭཱིཤྭརཱིཡཱདེཤཀཐནམ྄ ཨདྷིཀམཔཱིཙྪཱམི། ཡཏཿ སམིཏེ རྣིཥྛཱཡཻ ཡེན སྭཝཱཀྱཱནཱམ྄ ཨརྠོ ན ཀྲིཡཏེ ཏསྨཱཏ྄ པརབྷཱཥཱཝཱདིཏ ཨཱིཤྭརཱིཡཱདེཤཝཱདཱི ཤྲེཡཱན྄།
6 But, now, brethren—if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit, you, except I speak, unto you, either by way of revelation, or knowledge, or prophesying, or teaching?
ཧེ བྷྲཱཏརཿ, ཨིདཱནཱིཾ མཡཱ ཡདི ཡུཥྨཏྶམཱིཔཾ གམྱཏེ ཏརྷཱིཤྭརཱིཡདརྴནསྱ ཛྙཱནསྱ ཝེཤྭརཱིཡཱདེཤསྱ ཝཱ ཤིཀྵཱཡཱ ཝཱ ཝཱཀྱཱནི ན བྷཱཥིཏྭཱ པརབྷཱཥཱཾ བྷཱཥམཱཎེན མཡཱ ཡཱུཡཾ ཀིམུཔཀཱརིཥྱདྷྭེ?
7 In like manner, the things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, if, a distinction in the sounds, they do not give, how shall it be known, what is being piped or harped?
ཨཔརཾ ཝཾཤཱིཝལླཀྱཱདིཥུ ནིཥྤྲཱཎིཥུ ཝཱདྱཡནྟྲེཥུ ཝཱདིཏེཥུ ཡདི ཀྐཎཱ ན ཝིཤིཥྱནྟེ ཏརྷི ཀིཾ ཝཱདྱཾ ཀིཾ ཝཱ གཱནཾ བྷཝཏི ཏཏ྄ ཀེན བོདྡྷུཾ ཤཀྱཏེ?
8 For, if also, an uncertain sound, a trumpet, should give, who shall prepare himself for battle?
ཨཔརཾ རཎཏཱུཪྻྱཱ ནིསྭཎོ ཡདྱཝྱཀྟོ བྷཝེཏ྄ ཏརྷི ཡུདྡྷཱཡ ཀཿ སཛྫིཥྱཏེ?
9 So, also, ye, through means of the tongue, except ye give intelligible discourse, how shall it be known what is being spoken? for ye will be speaking, to the air.
ཏདྭཏ྄ ཛིཧྭཱབྷི ཪྻདི སུགམྱཱ ཝཱཀ྄ ཡུཥྨཱབྷི རྣ གདྱེཏ ཏརྷི ཡད྄ གདྱཏེ ཏཏ྄ ཀེན བྷོཏྶྱཏེ? ཝསྟུཏོ ཡཱུཡཾ དིགཱལཱཔིན ཨིཝ བྷཝིཥྱཐ།
10 There may happen to be so many kinds of languages in the world, and, not one, unspoken: —
ཛགཏི ཀཏིཔྲཀཱརཱ ཨུཀྟཡོ ཝིདྱནྟེ? ཏཱསཱམེཀཱཔི ནིརརྠིཀཱ ནཧི;
11 If, then, I do not know the meaning of the language, I shall be, unto him that is speaking, a foreigner, and, he that is speaking, shall be, in my case, a foreigner.
ཀིནྟཱུཀྟེརརྠོ ཡདི མཡཱ ན བུདྷྱཏེ ཏརྷྱཧཾ ཝཀྟྲཱ མླེཙྪ ཨིཝ མཾསྱེ ཝཀྟཱཔི མཡཱ མླེཙྪ ཨིཝ མཾསྱཏེ།
12 So, ye, also—since ye are, envious, of spirits, unto the upbuilding of the assembly, seek to be pre-eminent.
ཏསྨཱད྄ ཨཱཏྨིཀདཱཡལིཔྶཝོ ཡཱུཡཾ སམིཏེ རྣིཥྛཱརྠཾ པྲཱཔྟབཧུཝརཱ བྷཝིཏུཾ ཡཏདྷྭཾ,
13 Wherefore, he that speaketh with a tongue, let him pray that he may translate;
ཨཏཨེཝ པརབྷཱཥཱཝཱདཱི ཡད྄ ཨརྠཀརོ྅པི བྷཝེཏ྄ ཏཏ྄ པྲཱརྠཡཏཱཾ།
14 [For], if I am praying in a tongue, my spirit, is praying, but, my mind, is unfruitful.
ཡདྱཧཾ པརབྷཱཥཡཱ པྲརྠནཱཾ ཀུཪྻྱཱཾ ཏརྷི མདཱིཡ ཨཱཏྨཱ པྲཱརྠཡཏེ, ཀིནྟུ མམ བུདྡྷི རྣིཥྥལཱ ཏིཥྛཏི།
15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, but I will pray also with the mind, —I will strike the strings with the spirit, [but] I will strike the strings also with the mind.
ཨིཏྱནེན ཀིཾ ཀརཎཱིཡཾ? ཨཧམ྄ ཨཱཏྨནཱ པྲཱརྠཡིཥྱེ བུདྡྷྱཱཔི པྲཱརྠཡིཥྱེ; ཨཔརཾ ཨཱཏྨནཱ གཱསྱཱམི བུདྡྷྱཱཔི གཱསྱཱམི།
16 Else, if thou be blessing in a spirit, he that filleth up the place of the ungifted person, how shall he say the Amen upon thy thanksgiving? since indeed, what thou art saying, he knoweth not;
ཏྭཾ ཡདཱཏྨནཱ དྷནྱཝཱདཾ ཀརོཥི ཏདཱ ཡད྄ ཝདསི ཏད྄ ཡདི ཤིཥྱེནེཝོཔསྠིཏེན ཛནེན ན བུདྡྷྱཏེ ཏརྷི ཏཝ དྷནྱཝཱདསྱཱནྟེ ཏཐཱསྟྭིཏི ཏེན ཝཀྟཾ ཀཐཾ ཤཀྱཏེ?
17 For, thou, indeed, excellently art giving thanks, but, the other, is not being built up.
ཏྭཾ སམྱག྄ ཨཱིཤྭརཾ དྷནྱཾ ཝདསཱིཏི སཏྱཾ ཏཐཱཔི ཏཏྲ པརསྱ ནིཥྛཱ ན བྷཝཏི།
18 I give thanks unto God!—More than ye all, am I speaking with tongues;
ཡུཥྨཱཀཾ སཪྻྭེབྷྱོ྅ཧཾ པརབྷཱཥཱབྷཱཥཎེ སམརྠོ྅སྨཱིཏི ཀཱརཎཱད྄ ཨཱིཤྭརཾ དྷནྱཾ ཝདཱམི;
19 But, in assembly, I desire to speak five words with my mind, that, others also, I may instruct, than myriads of words in a tongue.
ཏཐཱཔི སམིཏཽ པརོཔདེཤཱརྠཾ མཡཱ ཀཐིཏཱནི པཉྩ ཝཱཀྱཱནི ཝརཾ ན ཙ ལཀྵཾ པརབྷཱཥཱིཡཱནི ཝཱཀྱཱནི།
20 Brethren! do not become children, in your understandings; but, in baseness, become babes, while, in your understandings, ye become, full-grown.
ཧེ བྷྲཱཏརཿ, ཡཱུཡཾ བུདྡྷྱཱ བཱལཀཱཨིཝ མཱ བྷཱུཏ པརནྟུ དུཥྚཏཡཱ ཤིཤཝཨིཝ བྷཱུཏྭཱ བུདྡྷྱཱ སིདྡྷཱ བྷཝཏ།
21 In the law, it is written—With strange tongues, and with lips of strangers, will I speak unto this people; and, not even so, will they hearken unto me, —saith the Lord.
ཤཱསྟྲ ཨིདཾ ལིཁིཏམཱསྟེ, ཡཐཱ, ཨིཏྱཝོཙཏ྄ པརེཤོ྅ཧམ྄ ཨཱབྷཱཥིཥྱ ཨིམཱན྄ ཛནཱན྄། བྷཱཥཱབྷིཿ པརཀཱིཡཱབྷི ཪྻཀྟྲཻཤྩ པརདེཤིབྷིཿ། ཏཐཱ མཡཱ ཀྲྀཏེ྅པཱིམེ ན གྲཧཱིཥྱནྟི མདྭཙཿ༎
22 So that, the tongues, are for a sign—not unto them that believe, but, unto them that believe not; whereas, prophesying, is not for them that believe not, but, for them that believe.
ཨཏཨེཝ ཏཏ྄ པརབྷཱཥཱབྷཱཥཎཾ ཨཝིཤྩཱསིནཿ པྲཏི ཙིཧྣརཱུཔཾ བྷཝཏི ན ཙ ཝིཤྭཱསིནཿ པྲཏི; ཀིནྟྭཱིཤྭརཱིཡཱདེཤཀཐནཾ ནཱཝིཤྭཱསིནཿ པྲཏི ཏད྄ ཝིཤྭཱསིནཿ པྲཏྱེཝ།
23 If, then, the whole assembly come together with one consent, and, all, are speaking with tongues, —and there come in persons unskilled or unbelieving, will they not say that ye are raving?
སམིཏིབྷུཀྟེཥུ སཪྻྭེཥུ ཨེཀསྨིན྄ སྠཱནེ མིལིཏྭཱ པརབྷཱཥཱཾ བྷཱཥམཱཎེཥུ ཡདི ཛྙཱནཱཀཱངྐྵིཎོ྅ཝིཤྭཱསིནོ ཝཱ ཏཏྲཱགཙྪེཡུསྟརྷི ཡུཥྨཱན྄ ཨུནྨཏྟཱན྄ ཀིཾ ན ཝདིཥྱནྟི?
24 But, if, all, be prophesying, —and there come in one who is unbelieving or unskilled, he is convicted by all, he is searched by all, the secrets of his heart, become manifest,
ཀིནྟུ སཪྻྭེཥྭཱིཤྭརཱིཡཱདེཤཾ པྲཀཱཤཡཏྶུ ཡདྱཝིཤྭཱསཱི ཛྙཱནཱཀཱངྐྵཱི ཝཱ ཀཤྩིཏ྄ ཏཏྲཱགཙྪཏི ཏརྷི སཪྻྭཻརེཝ ཏསྱ པཱཔཛྙཱནཾ པརཱིཀྵཱ ཙ ཛཱཡཏེ,
25 And, so, falling down upon his face, he will do homage unto God, reporting that, in reality, God is, among you.
ཏཏསྟསྱཱནྟཿཀརཎསྱ གུཔྟཀལྤནཱསུ ཝྱཀྟཱིབྷཱུཏཱསུ སོ྅དྷོམུཁཿ པཏན྄ ཨཱིཤྭརམཱརཱདྷྱ ཡུཥྨནྨདྷྱ ཨཱིཤྭརོ ཝིདྱཏེ ཨིཏི སཏྱཾ ཀཐཱམེཏཱཾ ཀཐཡིཥྱཏི།
26 What, then, is it, brethren? Whensoever ye are coming together, each one, hath a psalm, hath a teaching, hath a revelation, hath a tongue, hath a translation: —let, all things, be done, unto building up.
ཧེ བྷྲཱཏརཿ, སམྨིལིཏཱནཱཾ ཡུཥྨཱཀམ྄ ཨེཀེན གཱིཏམ྄ ཨནྱེནོཔདེཤོ྅ནྱེན པརབྷཱཥཱནྱེན ཨཻཤྭརིཀདརྴནམ྄ ཨནྱེནཱརྠབོདྷཀཾ ཝཱཀྱཾ ལབྷྱཏེ ཀིམེཏཏ྄? སཪྻྭམེཝ པརནིཥྛཱརྠཾ ཡུཥྨཱབྷིཿ ཀྲིཡཏཱཾ།
27 If, with a tongue, one is speaking, let it be by two, or, at the most, three, —and by turns; and let, one, be translating;
ཡདི ཀཤྩིད྄ བྷཱཥཱནྟརཾ ཝིཝཀྵཏི ཏརྷྱེཀསྨིན྄ དིནེ དྭིཛནེན ཏྲིཛནེན ཝཱ པརབྷཱཥཱ ཀཐྱཏཱཾ ཏདདྷིཀཻརྣ ཀཐྱཏཱཾ ཏཻརཔི པཪྻྱཱཡཱནུསཱརཱཏ྄ ཀཐྱཏཱཾ, ཨེཀེན ཙ ཏདརྠོ བོདྷྱཏཱཾ།
28 But, if there be none to translate, let him keep silence in assembly, and, unto himself, be speaking, and, unto God!
ཀིནྟྭརྠཱབྷིདྷཱཡཀཿ ཀོ྅པི ཡདི ན ཝིདྱཏེ ཏརྷི ས སམིཏཽ ཝཱཙཾཡམཿ སྠིཏྭེཤྭརཱཡཱཏྨནེ ཙ ཀཐཱཾ ཀཐཡཏུ།
29 Prophets, moreover, let two or three speak, and let, the others, judge.
ཨཔརཾ དྭཽ ཏྲཡོ ཝེཤྭརཱིཡཱདེཤཝཀྟཱརཿ སྭཾ སྭམཱདེཤཾ ཀཐཡནྟུ ཏདནྱེ ཙ ཏཾ ཝིཙཱརཡནྟུ།
30 If, however, unto another, a revelation be made, as he is sitting, let the first be silent;
ཀིནྟུ ཏཏྲཱཔརེཎ ཀེནཙིཏ྄ ཛནེནེཤྭརཱིཡཱདེཤེ ལབྡྷེ པྲཐམེན ཀཐནཱཏ྄ ནིཝརྟྟིཏཝྱཾ།
31 For, one by one, ye can, all, be prophesying, —that, all, may learn, and, all, be encouraged.
སཪྻྭེ ཡཏ྄ ཤིཀྵཱཾ སཱནྟྭནཱཉྩ ལབྷནྟེ ཏདརྠཾ ཡཱུཡཾ སཪྻྭེ པཪྻྱཱཡེཎེཤྭརཱིཡཱདེཤཾ ཀཐཡིཏུཾ ཤཀྣུཐ།
32 And, spirits of prophets, unto prophets, do submit themselves;
ཨཱིཤྭརཱིཡཱདེཤཝཀྟྲྀཎཱཾ མནཱཾསི ཏེཥཱམ྄ ཨདྷཱིནཱནི བྷཝནྟི།
33 For God is not [a God] of confusion, but, of peace: —as in all the assemblies of the saints.
ཡཏ ཨཱིཤྭརཿ ཀུཤཱསནཛནཀོ ནཧི སུཤཱསནཛནཀ ཨེཝེཏི པཝིཏྲལོཀཱནཱཾ སཪྻྭསམིཏིཥུ པྲཀཱཤཏེ།
34 As for the women, in the assemblies, let them be silent, for it is not permitted them to be speaking; but let them be in submission, —even as, the law, saith.
ཨཔརཉྩ ཡུཥྨཱཀཾ ཝནིཏཱཿ སམིཏིཥུ ཏཱུཥྞཱིམྦྷཱུཏཱསྟིཥྛནྟུ ཡཏཿ ཤཱསྟྲལིཁིཏེན ཝིདྷིནཱ ཏཱཿ ཀཐཱཔྲཙཱརཎཱཏ྄ ནིཝཱརིཏཱསྟཱབྷི རྣིགྷྲཱབྷི རྦྷཝིཏཝྱཾ།
35 If, however, they are wishing to learn something, at home, their own husbands, let them question; for it is a shame for a woman to be speaking in assembly.
ཨཏསྟཱ ཡདི ཀིམཔི ཛིཛྙཱསནྟེ ཏརྷི གེཧེཥུ པཏཱིན྄ པྲྀཙྪནྟུ ཡཏཿ སམིཏིམདྷྱེ ཡོཥིཏཱཾ ཀཐཱཀཐནཾ ནིནྡནཱིཡཾ།
36 Or, from you, did the word of God come forth? Or, unto you alone, did it extend?
ཨཻཤྭརཾ ཝཙཿ ཀིཾ ཡུཥྨཏྟོ ནིརགམཏ? ཀེཝལཾ ཡུཥྨཱན྄ ཝཱ ཏཏ྄ ཀིམ྄ ཨུཔཱགཏཾ?
37 If anyone thinketh himself to be a prophet, or spiritually gifted, let him acknowledge the things which I am writing to you, —that they are, a commandment, of the Lord.
ཡཿ ཀཤྩིད྄ ཨཱཏྨཱནམ྄ ཨཱིཤྭརཱིཡཱདེཤཝཀྟཱརམ྄ ཨཱཏྨནཱཝིཥྚཾ ཝཱ མནྱཏེ ས ཡུཥྨཱན྄ པྲཏི མཡཱ ཡད྄ ཡཏ྄ ལིཁྱཏེ ཏཏྤྲབྷུནཱཛྙཱཔིཏམ྄ ཨཱིཏྱུརརཱི ཀརོཏུ།
38 But, if anyone knoweth not, he is unknown!
ཀིནྟུ ཡཿ ཀཤྩིཏ྄ ཨཛྙོ བྷཝཏི སོ྅ཛྙ ཨེཝ ཏིཥྛཏུ།
39 So, then, my brethren, —be zealous to prophesy, and do not forbid, to be speaking with tongues;
ཨཏཨེཝ ཧེ བྷྲཱཏརཿ, ཡཱུཡམ྄ ཨཱིཤྭརཱིཡཱདེཤཀཐནསཱམརྠྱཾ ལབྡྷུཾ ཡཏདྷྭཾ པརབྷཱཥཱབྷཱཥཎམཔི ཡུཥྨཱབྷི རྣ ནིཝཱཪྻྱཏཱཾ།
40 But let, all things, with comeliness, and by arrangement, be done.
སཪྻྭཀརྨྨཱཎི ཙ ཝིདྷྱནུསཱརཏཿ སུཔརིཔཱཊྱཱ ཀྲིཡནྟཱཾ།
